cutting the sleeves off my shirts to be THAT butch is a wholeheartedly desired choice for me cause I've got skin picking disorder and I'm covered head to toe in scars and scabs
trying to be okay with it and if people think its gross they can COPE
i'm also decked out in tattoos so if you'd rather read a Terry Pratchett quote or some of my own poetry thats inked on me rather than stare uncomfortable at my rat-scabbed skin you're cordially invited

Sometimes I forget my gender is on the nonbinary spectrum (genderflux demiboy) and I think, “wow, this nonbinary person’s feelings and experiences are so similar to mine, more so than binary trans people’s” then I remember yeah. Because I’m not a binary trans guy. How do I keep forgetting this?

I remember loving and hating this photo when it was taken. I knew why I didn't like it and mostly it was superficial things. But the reasons why I liked it eluded me. Looking back, the reason I liked it was because it told the truth. My feet hurt, I was tired of shooting the outfit. My hat kept falling off. It was windy AF. I could feel the wet leaves soaking through my clothes. That bag literally had extra socks and flat shoes in it. I was so done, and it showed, and I was adorable. <3

You can be binary and trans
You can be nonbinary and trans
You can be binary and cis
You can be nonbinary and cis
These are labels, not definitions. Some people’s nonbinary and trans identities are directly linked, but others are not. Nonbinary is not inherently a subcategory of trans. As soon as you start defining someone else’s labels and telling them how they should perceive themselves you have gone back down the wrong path. Quit it.

I think people, especially binary trans people, have a duty to remind other trans people that nonbinary trans people do in fact exist, and the things you all think are exclusively the experiences and problems of binary trans people do, in fucking fact, affect nonbinary trans people too. If your post about trans issues that affect all trans people, only mentions binary trans people, that is a problem, and you do in fact need to correct it. We get erased enough, you don't need to continue that erasure.
Include nonbinary people in your posts about trans issues. Remember that we exist. Remember that we don't all identify as transfeminine or transmasculine, but we are still impacted by the issues that transfeminine and transmasculine people are.

In another rendition of "gendered clothes are stupid as hell": shoes built for different foot shapes being gendered
So I have disproportionate feet for my AGAB. My toes are like 1.5 times the size of my heel. This is yet another "masculine" trait I inherited from my mom's family. If I were to buy a shoe true to my size, I would be wearing a women's 5WWW (which doesn't exist).
So all my adolescence I'd scramble to find anything in the 7-8 size range, judging between different brand's size charts and how narrow their base shoe is and how their "wide" selection fits me. If I find a shoe that accommodates my toes, there'd be a 50% chance my heel would slip right out as soon as I take a step. Most of my high-heels have basically the entire toe stuffed with tissues, and the only things guaranteed to fit me have straps with different size holes, of which even the smallest hole is a hit-and-miss.
So when I first started looking at men's fashion and I found out that I'd be a men's size 6, I scoffed. "There's no way that'd fit me, there's bound to be something that won't work right." Luckily, my parents and I basically wear the same size clothes, which means my dad just so happens to wear size 6 sneakers. And sure enough, those were possibly the most true-to-size shoe I've ever worn.
I'm not saying this would've been the solution to all my problems, but back-to-school shopping would have been a hell of a lot easier if I wasn't confined to the women's shoe section my whole damn life.

i'm a dyke but i'm also a little bit of a boy
my gender is incomprehensible and my passing is not bound by any true logic except that of the Fair Folk
when i'm out with partner A1 people often think we're a straight couple where i'm "the guy": this gives me gender euphoria because i'm butch and i've successfully fooled "the straights"
when i'm out with partner A2 (not to be confused with A1) people think we're a gay couple where i'm a twink/feminine gay guy/fagboy and this pleases me greatly because I love to confuse people AND i'm a bit of a boy AND i love being effemminate for my partner but its kinda in the way of "butch dyke goes drag queen"
when i'm out with partner J1 people usually think we're "just friends" but also that there's some underlying mystery... people also consistently think that she (arguably a cis woman, don't ask) looks more like a dyke than me, this is hilarious to me but also I look like a more feminine girl next to her and I like that cause sometimes we do a little tomboyfoolery
when i'm out with partner J2 (yes, i'm collecting same-letter names, A1 and A2 are both Alex and both nonbinary, i'm a stereotype) people are most certain that we're a lesbian couple where there's a competition for who's more of a fucking hell-bent dyke.. she takes me on dates to hardware stores and buys me carabiners and knows how to fix things with tools but i'm a little soft butch gentleman-ass knuckle tattoo dyke who looks great in suspenders and a bowtie... shes the practical type, i'm more of a statement piece of decorative function with a side of emotional support
in conclusion: you cannot misgender me in any way that matters and no binary will ever catch me alive the way that people "read" my gender has more to do with who i'm with than with who i am, all i know is i'm the punkest and most dog-brained fucking dyke in this part of town and i've lived through enough transphobic and queerphobic bullshit that accidental misgendering doesn't bother me and if someone's really dead-set on misgendering me on full purpose then to me thats worth it cause for every transphobic cunt that tries that i've been seen by 12 people who for just one moment knew that there's other queers around here and certainly this dyke with more tattoos and patches on her vest than self preservation has got your back
i'm alive and very happy to be, visibility is life

Trans-Nonbinary Combo flags ( part 2 )
A while back I made these Trans-Nonbinary combo flags ( and a combo symbol to go with them ) and I wanted to make a second set but this time, using my Nonbinary flag design as a warm up for other requests ( and for my own personal use. )
The design process on these is pretty identical to the first set. You might notice there's no 7-stripe version like there was with the first set, and this is because I liked these three designs more than the 7-stripe ones I came up with.
If you'd still like to see those designs ( or if you want me to make a combo set with another Trans and / or Nonbinary flag ) let me know and I'll do another set! As always, free for use anywhere by anyone!
