like you guys know warwick is supposed to be a metaphor, right?
and by 'you guys' I am talking to the writers of Arcane S2 (2024), who appear to have forgotten this.
like warwick, in a strictly plot sense, is something that is done to vander. but warwick, in a narrative sense, is supposed to be a metaphor. you understand that, right?
it's a metaphor for the monster within the man?
the hound of the underground?
the way suffering breeds cruelty breeds monsters - the uncaged wrath of zaun?
the sins of his past come back to haunt him?
the violence he tried to leave behind, but never could?
"i knew you still had it in you."?
Sometimes, as he fed in dark alleys on stray gangers, the flash of knives would remind him of an old blade covered in blood. Blood passing from the blade to his hands. From his hands, to everything he touched. Sometimes, he remembered the girl again. And still there was blood. It had always been there, he realized, his entire life, and nothing he did could wash it off. He'd left so many scars that even if he didn't remember his past, the city would. When he peered into the eyes of Zaun's criminals - the gang bosses, murderers, and thieves - he saw himself.
that's the warwick we should have gotten in S2. vander the grey, not vander the unproblematically whitewashed. vander the revolutionary who brought his gauntlets to that bridge to fight for a future; the base violence necessary for change. vander with blood on his hands, just as much as the partner he scapegoated for it; tried to bury in the pilt along with his own guilt; not just vander who felt aw shucks real sorry about the attempted murder that one time. vander the complex. vander who sold out zaun's resistance to ease his own shame. vander the reckoning with his own complicity; his own violence; his own original sin. vander whose murkiness helps vi unpack her black and white worldview, and let go of the rose-tinted past to which she clings; understand jinx, even understand silco; understand that it's not just about Individual Bad People doing Individual Bad Things to Individual Good People, and Individual Good People who have to defeat the Individual Bad People, but that this is something far bigger and far older than any of them, a whole rotten system of misery and oppression that turns people into monsters. that the thing that turned vander into a monster, METAPHORICALLY, happened long before he met singed.
vander the monster, as well as vander the man.
instead, we got whatever this shit is:
#arcane#arcane critical#vander#warwick#LET VANDER BE FUCKED UP AGAIN#BRING BACK MY MORALLY COMPROMISED BEAR WITH AN UNDERCURRENT OF VIOLENCE STILL RUNNING BENEATH THE SURFACE#HAUNTED BY THE SINS OF HIS OWN PAST#THE BLOOD ON HIS OWN HANDS#how did the writers forget what made vander such a good character in S1#(spoiler: it's because they need to jettison any lingering notion that active resistance is valid)#(and double down on the idea that u just gotta FORGIVE! u just gotta walk away. u just gotta get out of that oppression MINDSET u guys!)

Never will I stop with the steadfast notion that folks in the DPXDC fandom should interact with at least some form of canon DC media.
There are comics, tv shows, radio dramas both old and new, podcasts, movies, magazines, so much shit that intentionally avoiding the media is simply preventing yourself from spawning new ideas and gaining a new appreciation for a fandom that you’re already in.
The Superman Radio Show has episodes 11 minutes long. A lot of the TV shows don’t have episodes that surpass 30 minutes and most are nearly fully clipped on the official DC YouTube channel. The amount of fan made motion comics is astounding. The amount of fanmade animations is equally as incredible.
#bones rants#dpxdc#I’m so tired with this fandom basically inbreeding concepts until it dies because people refuse to look at DC and accept new pieces of media#on the media that they consumed. your choice!!!#I’m just so tired. if anyone responds to this with even a sentence review of a NEW piece of DC media that they saw ill write a prompt based-#as things that should be explored. I’ve been blocked by many folks bc of this notion and it BAFFLES me. how is consuming media-#such an absurd request? there’s such a bountiful amount of such cool characters to check out and I don’t even#have the energy to write them because I know that people ignore those prompts bc they don’t take the effort to look at new things#I know this because I’ve done it time and time again and still do my best to showcase new characters#the difference between batfam prompts and literally any other character prompts is staggering#it just makes me sad man. I’ve more than once posted reccomendations for DC media on my page#I’m spoon feeding it to people and they still slap the spoon away like I’m pretending broccoli is an airplane and they see the veggies#bones writes in the tags#bones speaks#danny phantom#dp x dc

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan xichen#jin guangyao#jiang cheng#wei wuxian#qin su#EDIT: Tumblr published an earlier draft with only half the notes I wrote so: late entry on my JGY thoughts.#Unlike the mystic powers of the stockmarket (what the OG meme is referring to) I think this situation calls for more active investigation.#qin su is such a deeply tragic character to me and I really wish we got a bit more from her.#Love everyone who sent me messages about her after the last time she appeared.#I think she needs a spin off of her being a transmigrator SO badly.#MDZS has so many interesting characters - but it sometimes fails to give them the proper room to really develop past a role in the plot.#That's just the consequence of writing a story like MDZS. Not every character in a book *needs* to have a rich inner life and backstory!#To do so would bog down the story and obliterate any notion of pacing. It's just not possible.#Jin Guangyao (nee Meng Yao) is unfortunately not free from this leeway rule. He is the culprit of this murder mystery plot#and thus NEEDS to encapsulate the themes of the book. And personally he's a 7 out of 10 at best on this front (in the AD).#MDZS is about rumours twisting reality and working towards truth. And about how people & situations are rarely ever black & white#JGY has his motivations. He's well written in regards to his actions making sense for his character.#What started as good traits (drive to succeed & improve his image) became twisted over time (do anything to maintain his image)#and it's a good parallel to WWX! He has the same arc (with different traits)! Bonus points for IGY in that regard.#but man....by the time we confront this guy for murder there's not a lot of grey morality. He's just...deep in the hole *he* dug.#There's a beautiful tragedy to it! More on JGY in later comics - this is getting pretty long already!

Here's what typical vestment for The Odomache looks like.
The pelt of the lion that was originally sacrificed and worn raw for her incarnation is retained throughout the years of service, preserved and fashioned into a headdress and cape (obscuring a helmet). This can get dreadfully hot in the summer but no one ever said that being a hollowed out pathway for God's spirit was easy.
The body is always obscured near completely, barring the hands, feet, and parts of the face (philosophically, these are the body's least vulnerable parts as its modes of Action, though this is in large part a practicality). This is partially a matter of psychological enforcement that this person is not Just a human, and partly a matter of protecting the part of God's living spirit that's in a wholly human body. Conceptually, the Odomache Enables tremendous power rather than being intrinsically powerful in of herself, so all manners of protecting the metaphysically vulnerable human body are of tantamount importance in her case.
The complete obscuring of any identifiable feminine form is also notably important to the underlying philosophies and biases involved. It is necessary that she is female, a condition ascribed a unique malleability to change and transformation (for good or harm), but the act of female/non-male sex and gender assignment also serves to uphold an underclass in a patriarchy that she By Necessity must be distanced from. This extends beyond the masculinized social and dress performance of Odonii to a masculinized social performance with dress that utterly obscures any part of the body that could be gendered, and dress that is not gendered in of itself (women do wear less revealing clothing than men and skirts of similar length, but the act of Fully covering the body in this form exists outside of the bounds of gendered dress).
[[It should be noted that on a historical level, this role is largely a descendant of a variety of 'celibate and/or masculinized female religious authority' figures in pre/proto-Wardi societies stretching back centuries, rather than an emergent property of contemporary religion and philosophy. This is an adaptation of older roles and worldviews to securely fit the contemporary zeitgeist, and that's part of why many aspects of this role Superficially clashes with said zeitgeist.]]
The relatively undecorated white cloak and robes in comparison to culturally favored displays of color and opulence further emphasizes a sense of the Odomache's separation from humanity. The Wardi image of God is not a human lord, but rather the world itself and the functions of the world distilled into the forms of animals. Human hierarchies exist Within God rather than God having a place within human hierarchies, so in this philosophy it's natural for this particular person of high authority to not closely resemble a Human Authority.
This is still ultimately a human body existing at the top end of a human hierarchy (and in the dimension of religious thought, it a human body holding aspects of God most specifically concerned with maintaining concepts of 'right' civilization and hierarchy), so public-facing garb like this will still include a few mundane trappings of lordship such as this fancy gold khattanocuy displaying an image of an enemy being trampled by the Face Odomache as the guardian lion. Purely ceremonial garb for the Odomache hides the body in its entirety beneath the white cloak and forgoes all decoration save for the obligatory weaponry.
A sword and dagger is worn at all times as a matter of being the ultimate physical bastion of her society's military might, and she is always accompanied by a retinue of 'lieutenants' (Extremely elite servants/squires) who carry whatever other elements of her perpetual armament are not currently in use. These weapons are Completely ceremonial in nature (to the point that they're made or plated with gold rather than anything like, durable) and there is absolutely zero expectation that the Odomache will ever directly engage in combat (the times this has happened historically have been when things have gone horribly wrong).
Her face is usually masked in public, though this is not a strict necessity of the role and is forgone for some ceremonial purposes. On these occasion, it's standard to paint the face red to still partly obscure human features in the same fashion of battlefield Odonii. As the color of blood, it positively evokes bodily vitality and strength, the living spirit of the world itself and the mode of connection to God (and will also be reminiscent of the rite of incarnation during which she is Actually covered in blood)
#When I'm talking about the philosophical angles here I'm referring to like. Mostly subconscious cultural outlooks#Like most people aren't thinking 'so she should wear plain clothing unlike a lord because God isn't a lord. But should still have Some#trappings of lordship since she's an authority figure' like most people will just read all this as natural to her role and not break it#down any further. The main exception being that most people would be directly conscious of the notion that her obscured body#is a manner of protection from the Gaze#Unrelated tags:#I think a lot about how if this was a real life historical civilization whose writing system was never decoded this would totally be#one where pop-history latches onto the notions of it having Woman Warriors or possibly even being A Matriarchy.#Because there would be tons of art of identifiably female figures carrying weapons and on battlefields and etc#and a deity(?) depicted as an anthropomorphic maned lion with sex characteristics made ambiguous via clothing but possibly being#connected to tons of other art of a visibly female (nipples) maned lion as a possible sovereignty deity trampling depictions of foreign#enemies. Like there'd be MORE than enough information in the broader sphere of its art for serious researchers to develop#fairly accurate takes but the pop culture angle would be soooooooooooo bad.#imperial wardin

"Barok van Zieks is absolutely covered in scars from all his years being attacked" is like, pretty solidly in fanon at this point but I hope the other results of this constantly happening is that he fights dirty. No amount of being a respectable, well-trained gentleman who fights with honor is going to matter after a certain point.
I hope he bites people. I hope he spits blood onto the ground. I hope he has broken bones and left men bleeding in the street while he himself has to limp back to safety half alive. He may have never taken a life, but I hope he's come close.
#normally 'ooooh hes never killed anyone' is a kind of implausible notion for media with a lot of action (off “camera” in this case)#but i think barok is someone who scares himself if he goes too far in his violence#and sometimes that leads to him losing badly#i think even before the events of the game he quietly regrets how much control he has over life and death#even if he won't admit it and even if he thinks some people Should Die#“don't you find that... disturbing?” “an angel with bloody hands?”#i think his calm acceptance of McGilded burning to death in front of him is more desensitization than feelings of vengeance#violence is not his nature but he's still capable of extreme cruelty etc etc#also barok/kazuma's parallel of “I wasn't the one who killed him in the end- but does that matter? i wanted him dead”#tgaa#tgaa2 spoilers#the great ace attorney#dgs#barok van zieks

Seeing some people (comments, posts, general discussion) talk about Hirano’s love like it is inherently lesser, not as strong and "incompatible" with Kagiura’s tells me all I need to know about yall bc regardless of what you thought before (questionably), there's no way you read chapter 29 and came to this conclusion
#hirano loves kagiura#by Kagiura’s own definition of it he does#just because it doesnt fall under YOUR predefined definition of love or romance doesnt make it not such#thats literally what chapter 29 was about#am i going crazy#like yes hirano still has stuff to figure out about what it means for them because kagiura does want things that hirano doesnt right now#which is causing him to wonder if the overlap in their feelings is ENOUGH to make it work#but that does not negate that hirano loves him???#and he has for a while???#im only gonna tag this for spoiler purposes but#i dont like how some of yall talk about hirano#youre reading a manga called#hirano to kagiura#and you think it wont be about#the two characters??? together???#it may not seem “real” or “the same” to you but we already went over this 😭#crazy way to invalidate an entire characters identity based on YOUR preconceived notions of how he should have been written—#—that align with YOUR biases#hirano to kagiura spoilers

Kether: "My [favorite] card is The Fool, and there's a couple of reasons for that. One of the reasons, is that I did go to school in England. I did my A levels on Shakespeare, and my papers on the roll of the Fool in Shakespeare. And the thing about the Fool in Shakespeare, is nobody can tell these assholes who are king what is going on, except for the Fool. And the Fool is the one who tells the truth and can get away with it, cause you know--he's a dumb shit, and he doesn't know anything. And so all through Shakespeare, you see this pattern of the Fool being the only person who's telling it like it is."
Whitney: "Jester's privilege."
Taliesin: "Jester was a paid position specifically to have someone whose job it was to be--to say something where they were not gonna be executed."
Kether: "The other thing about The Fool, is that he is like this guileless character without, you know--he doesn't have any plan, he doesn't have any things that he's trying to do. And if you look at the Rider deck, he's just got his head in the sky, and he's about to like walk over this cliff--"
Taliesin: "He's got a familiar too, if I recall--in the Rider deck. Is there-is it a little cat, a little dog--"
Kether: "A little dog. And he's about to walk over this cliff, and and it's like...I just know, that at the bottom of the cliff, is paradise. Because he can't--he can't go wrong. He's got the fate of...he walks his own path. He doesn't know how to get off his own path. And it's really, really cool, and I get goosebumps..."
Whitney: "It's very much, 'leap and a net shall appear'...Talking about the misunderstood cards of the tarot--I think the Fool is one of them, the Devil...and Death also--
Taliesin: "Fool is a big one...And for those wondering, the reason there's not a cliff in here--is cause we don't need the cliff. We have the Nine Eyes on the tombstone--that is the jump. Molly was also The Fool in the Oracle deck we made, where he's walking over a warring army."
Kether: "And he's also dressed like The Fool."

#THE NINE EYES AS THE CLIFF AHHH---#my heart--#mollymauk tealeaf#taliesin jaffe#jumping up and down about all the fun crit role deck stuff--#also this notion that everything will work out in the end. fated happy coincidence of stumbling into paradise....#just. thinking of how much molly suffered. how much pain he wont through in his short brief life where every moment of joy counted#how in the end he's able to reach back out to lucien and reconcile with him. shake hands on it and go back home together#both of them being reborn together again. another chance for a happy end. for another life with the family who loved him--#my heart.....

Y'know given the Great Beings' less than enlightened views on gender, it's very easy to imagine the female members of the group as more feminist in their thinking and simply being drowned out in a male-dominated group. But given what we know about the Great Beings, namely their core trait of being brilliant creative geniuses and monumentally stupid at the exact same time, I think it's more in line with the characterization of the group if the women are just as Weird about it as the men, if not more so. Much less underappreciated girlboss, much more...divine feminine. Y'know, thinking they're so far beyond misogyny and then turning around and doing gender essentialism, aka misogyny in a different hat, but framing it as a good thing so they can feel like they're so advanced about it. That's more the vibe I'd expect.
#bionicle#great beings#sexism#like i'm picturing chiara#after the yesterday questers have found some of the great beings#bringing up the whole ce-matoran situation again to one of the women#expecting her to agree that the whole notion of it was ridiculous#and her being like 'oh that was my idea actually'#and doing this whole spiel about how females are naturally gentler and better peacekeepers and more spiritually in-tune and such#and chiara's just there like '...none of you have touched grass in over 100000 years'

its so interesting to me how everyone is like man kris must HATE tenna in like the same exact way people were saying kris must hate ralsei like idk . i think kris is going through a lot and they just feel awkward. they dont even seem to hate asgore despite the way hes just so. um. asgore. idk if they necessarily LIKE tenna in chapter 3 but i sure doubt they fr hate him
#kris dreemurr#tenna#deltarune#critter.og#like look. obviously they wouldnt be a fan of him bringing up the divorce so often#and if you get the questions wrong idk how theyd feel about the teasing when they arent the one getting it wrong#but if you dont do the sword route (where kris is actively messed up mentally from the mantle game) then they just do a normal amount of-#-damage iirc#and ultimately they were the one to make the dark world. its in their house#with items that remember how kris used to play with them#i think theres some familiarity there. that tenna really did use to be a huge source of comfort especially through the divorce#and it makes me think. how many of those sentiments does kris echo#is tenna asking kris to 'tell them' about how its normal for couples to fight really bothering kris in a generic annoying way#or is that an echo of a sentiment kris has tried to convince themself of#let kris have nuanced opinions on people 2k25#i dont think they hate tenna i think hes just like an awkward family member to them. one who used to be there all the time but for#reasons out of his control couldnt be anymore and now hes stuck with past ideals and notions of who kris and their family are now#but ultimately tenna is doing it all to try and make kris happy. to show a fun time for the heroes before the knight has to come and mess i#all up#and i think thats because in some way thats what kris wanted#a fun dark world to distract them. a reminder of what it used to be like. some nostalgic adventure to go through#before they have to go back to normal. before the knight comes. before toriel wakes up. before the adults say its time to stop playing#and of course it doesnt work. because you cant go back. but i think kris really wishes they could

au - tim sneaking out of jason's room one night at the manor and accidentally locking eyes with dick who is sneaking out of bruce's room at the exact same time, breakfast is very awkward the next morning
(i did think of having it be jason instead of tim but honestly jason has 0 shame and even less issue outing himself if it means fucking with bruce and, to a lesser extent, dick)
i'm cackling I love these types of things so much. they're so silly. sometimes we deserve mindless crack for these ships. have a *very* low effort ficlet bc this just makes me snort, enjoy <3
Dick closed Bruce's door as quietly as he could. Usually, he didn't have to sneak around when he slept with Bruce. But the temporary room Bruce had given Jason in the manor was just down the hall, and Dick didn't feel like looking Jason in the eye if he walked out of Bruce's bedroom in the morning at the wrong time.
Just because he was pretty sure Jason knew, didn't mean he needed confirmation and confrontation.
Dick had almost caved to staying in bed with Bruce when Bruce tried to pull him back down, but he kept some level of wits about him, prying Bruce's arm off of him and giving him a final kiss on the cheek before heading for the door.
The one thing Dick did allow himself, though, was wearing one of Bruce's shirts instead of his own. It was a size too large on him but smelled safe and comforting. Dick breathed a quiet sigh of relief when the door latched silently. He let go of the handle, turning around to creep off to his own bedroom in another wing.
And found himself staring at another figure.
With all of the lights off and only faint moonlight streaming through the windows, Dick couldn't tell who it was, at first. His reaction was embarrassing no matter who it was, jumping nearly a foot backward and clutching a hand over his chest.
He was a goddamn vigilante. This was just embarrassing.
The other person wasn't nearly as shocked as Dick, but they stood perfectly still, staring with wide eyes that faintly reflected what little light illuminated their face. Dick squinted, leaning forward to see who it was.
"Tim?" Dick hissed, trying to keep his voice to a whisper. Bruce had fallen asleep and if Dick woke him up now, he was never going to get the stubborn bastard back to bed.
Tim, still looking like a deer in headlights, just blinked at Dick.
"What are you doing up this late?" Dick asked. They'd all agreed to take tonight's patrol off, letting Babs, Helena, Dinah, and Zinda handle it in exchange for tackling the massive human trafficking ring in the morning with fresh eyes and cleared heads. The job was the only thing that had gotten Jason to agree to work with them in the first place. Bruce barely managed to strong-arm Jason into sleeping in the manor, with a decent amount of guilting from Alfred.
Jason, who was in the room only a few feet away from Dick. The room that Tim's hand was resting on the doorknob of.
"That's Jason's room," Dick said slowly.
Tim just nodded. "I know." He wasn't whispering like Dick was, but his tone remained impossible to read.
He just saw Dick walk out of Bruce's room. Had he put it together? It was Tim, after all. if he hadn't yet, Dick assumed he only had a couple minutes before it dawned on Tim.
"What were you doing in Jason's room?" Dick frowned. If he focused on Tim, it could keep the focus off of him for as long as possible. Dick tried to ignore how fast his heart was beating.
Tim's expression was hard to make out in the dark. "We were talking about the case." Still, his tone remained entirely neutral.
Too neutral, for Tim.
"At two am?"
"Well, what were you doing?" Tim huffed slightly when he said it, folding his arms over his chest.
He was shirtless, Dick just realized.
Shirtless and coming out of Jason's room.
"I was-" Dick stumbled over his words, choking as he tried to come up with an alibi. "We were talking about the-"
"I already used that excuse, pick your own," Tim deadpanned. Dick was pretty sure he also rolled his eyes. "I've known about you and Bruce for years, you know. You don't have to pretend."
The noise that came out of Dick's throat was almost as mortifying as the realization that not only did Jason likely know, but so did Tim.
"It... okay it has not been years," Dick's face was hot and he was glad it was too dark for Tim to see his blush. "I mean- it's been a while but not years-"
"Whatever you say." Tim shrugged, sounding unconvinced. "There have been feelings between you two for years, close enough for me."
If Dick died, right here, in this hallway in front of Bruce's door, he hoped the cause of death would be put down as homicide instead of natural causes. Because every word from Tim's mouth made another piece of Dick die inside, just a little.
"It's none of your business either way." Dick tried to stand up straight to sound more in control of the situation, clearing his throat.
"Trust me, I don't want it to be my business."
Dick would've laughed, if this was happening to anyone but him.
"What about... you and Jason?" Dick asked carefully.
Tim shifted on his feet. "What about it? I told you, we were talking about the case."
"Right." It was Dick's turn to roll his eyes. "In his bedroom, at two am, without your shirt?"
Tim stared at Dick for a long, torturous moment. A moment that made Dick agree with Tim, about not wanting to know any sordid details.
"I'm going to bed," Tim said suddenly, turning away from Dick. "Goodnight."
Dick had a thousand more questions he wanted to ask. How Tim and Jason even got together, when it happened. Last Dick knew, they could barely stand to be in the same room.
But Tim was walking away at an alarmingly brisk pace and Dick just sighed. He was too tired and mortified about his own secrets to chase Tim down for an impromptu interrogation that would just end up embarrassing them both more.
Maybe it was best for Dick's sanity if he didn't know the specifics.
Dick didn't consider how awkward it would be until he was standing in the kitchen, staring at Jason bent over a cup of coffee.
Did Jason know Dick knew? It didn't seem like he did, but he had always had a good poker face.
When Tim ambled into the kitchen and grabbed overnight oats from the fridge, he didn't even look at Dick. He seemed to be pointedly avoiding it, sitting as far away from Dick as he could at the oversized dining room table.
All while Dick couldn't seem to stop staring.
"Your cereal is going to get soggy," Jason muttered, and it took Dick a moment to realize Jason was talking to him. "At least eat it before trying to explode my head with your mind, or whatever your staring problem is."
"I'm not-" Dick stuttered. he shut himself up with a mouthful of cereal when Cass gave him an odd look.
Would she be able to figure it out just from his body language?
Dick had never fully understood the lengths her ability to read people could go. he looked away from her and stared at a random spot on the table, trying to eat at a normal pace.
Bruce was the last to wander into the kitchen. He squeezed Dick's shoulder as he walked by, making Dick jump. It was an innocent enough touch that no one would question, but all Dick could think about was the brief look from Tim before he quickly averted his eyes again.
The silence around the table was going to eat Dick alive. He started eating cereal faster.
"Oh for fuck's sake," Jason broke the tension, throwing his head back and slamming an empty mug down onto the table. "Everyone knows you two are fucking, alright?" He gestured between Dick and Bruce. "Stop being so goddamn weird about it, you're acting like there's a bomb in the room."
Bruce choked on his coffee. "Jason." He tried to sound reprimanding, but his voice was a few octaves too high.
Dick threw his hands in the air. "I knew you knew about that, but I didn't know about you and Tim until last night so excuse me for feeling a little awkward."
"You didn't know about what?" Bruce nearly yelled, spinning around to face Jason.
"Damnit, Dick!" Tim groaned, putting his head in his hands.
Jason just scoffed, pointing a fork at Bruce. "Oh don't even give me that self-righteous bullshit-"
Their argument went back and forth while Tim just rubbed his temples, muttering to himself and glaring at Dick.
Worst of all, Dick was pretty sure Cass was giggling next to him under her covered mouth.
Dick just sighed and ducked his head, dutifully waiting for the ground to open up and swallow him whole.
So much for his breakfast.

the most annoying part of lucifer on netflix is that he was literally right the whole time. i don't give a shit if the literal actual god was "just trying his best." lucifer was 100% right to be angry at god and in fact, i think everyone should've been downright pissed when they met him. ESPECIALLY linda. fuck her for real for telling him that his conflict with god was partially his fault. lucifer described an abusive father to her countless times and the second she met him she started fawning over him? fuck that. chloe should've punched god in the face
#lucifer tv#lucifer netflix#lucifer morningstar#linda martin#chloe decker#and and and i hate how they compared god to chloe's father as if their parents were anything alike#chloe's dad was a good man* (*but a cop) who just had some misguided notions on what would keep his daughter safe#lucifer's dad threw him into hell#they aren't comparable like. at all

alright but not only is ian breaking out in hives bc he misses poppy so much it's physically causing him pain. not only is ian so anxious abt poppy maybe loving her boyfriend more than she loves him, so afraid of having to find out who he is when she's farther away than arm's length, so terrified of losing her forever, that he is literally tearing at his flesh with his fingernails.
but there's also the fact that That's Poppy's Symptom. they've spent so long under each other's skin that his skin is forgetting which one of them it belongs to.
#she is breaking his heart and neither of them have any idea how to handle it#because neither of them ever imagined it going this way#i think they both assumed they'd either die this way or have some kind of explosive falling out somewhere down the line.#and i think they both had a notion in the back of their minds that it might go down differently than that.#that ian might get bored. eventually. years down the line. he might get bored and want to move on and he might someday leave poppy behind#i don't think either of them ever anticipated poppy meeting someone new. and so of course that is what happened#mythic quest#grimmpop#mythic quest spoilers

If you and I had met under more peaceful and carefree circumstances, I wonder how well things would have gone.
#ninjago#lego ninjago#ninjago fanart#lloyd garmadon#harumi jade#ninjago harumi#harumi ninjago#lloyd montgomery garmadon#lloyd ninjago#ninjago lloyd#shonsh#aphid artisms#lloyd and harumi are not obamitsu in the slightest but this quote works out#also if i tag smthn as shonsh it means ship or not ship#so you can tag it as ship art if you want but it can mean anything really#anyways im insane for childhood friends llrm concept#do you ever think about how both of them in a way were stripped of their childhoods#lloyd in a very literal sense but harumi in the sense that she just wanted to be a normal little girl with her family then boom#building crashing sfx#and how bc of their circumstances lloyd has the “childish” notion of being kind and loving too much (in misakos words)#while harumi is childish in her hatred and jealousy and thirst for revenge#her motives are completely based on those emotions and immaturity and yet her calculated way of doing things completely contrasts that#and not only that but lloyd started out as a wannabe villain for garmadon before being the green ninja#while harumi was a ninja fan and again just a regular kid before becoming the quiet one#how lloyd was able to grow up with support all around him in spite of the struggles he faced#and harumi being forced to grow up without any real person to hold on to or to support her despite literally being a princess#theyre so insane for that whats wrong with them#so yeah just another sketch

The thing with people claiming that “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is a genocidal chant is that no amount of explaining will convince them that it isn’t because most people making this claim don’t actually believe it’s a call for genocide. Just like the labeling of anything Palestinian as “Hamas”, insistence that being antizionist makes you antisemitic, assertion that Israeli settlers are killed but Palestinians simply die, etc., it is deliberate language used to dehumanize Palestinians and frame Israelis as victims, or at the very least, passive, despite their massive arsenal of US-funded/supplied weapons. Since its beginning in 1948, the settler colony Israel has used language to control the narrative and this is no different.
#there is also something to be said about how Israel has tied its “freedom” to the genocide of Palestinians#so the very notion of Palestinian freedom threatens them#from river to sea palestine will be free
