Obscure song tournament, babyyyy. Submit your fav obscure songs (or YOUR obscure songs) and find some new favourites as you vote :-3

Multiple submissions of a song will not help it get in! But I’m not going to disqualify songs submitted multiple times like last year, because that seemed scary for the submitters <3

It will be open until I have about 300 submissions, then I will look over submissions in order of least listeners to most !!

I think itll take a week or two after sumbissions close to do all the seeding !

Id prefer if you didn’t submit songs/artists that were in the running last year but like its chill if your guy didn’t win. Sorry forgetmenauts fans, at least choose a new song !

Popular Yuzuki Yukari illustration from an obscure song

So if you have happened to listen a bunch of song with Yuzuki Yukari on youtube or just looked at a bunch of fanart of her on google or zerochan, you probably have seen this particular illustration at least once, but what is special about it? (besides being beautifully dawn)

Did you know this was actually for a vocaloid song and not just fanart? That's right, this actually from a song called 'Noiz' by multiple producers, トマト煮 (Tomato Ni), 牡丹 (Botan), Syan, and the illustator for this art, Gino0808.

So when I first found this illustration on Zerochan (I actually originally found it on youtube for a Yuzuki Yukari cover of Circus Monster), right there was also this:

The backround instead of just being static teal and dark grey, it's a bunch of images from what looks like animation, and next to Yukari, it says 'Noiz', this is what made me think that this is from a song called Noiz.

So I went on VocaDB to look it up, to see if this was from an actual song, and as it turns out, it is!

Well actually there were two uploads of it on NicoNico and one on Youtube, one on トマト煮's channel and one on Gino0808's channel on NiciNico, but the one from トマト煮's channel got removed for some reason, it was uploaded originally on April 6th 2012 (2 days before my 7th birthday) by トマト煮, and then in June 7th 2012 by Gino0808, I'm not sure if the original upload got taken down before or after the second upload, but before seem possible. But now about the Youtube upload, it was posted by a vocaloid song reprint channel called KariiHatsune in April 8th 2012 (my 7th birthday), so it obviously from トマト煮, as the link to it says it isn't available.

I watched both versions to see if they were any different, but the only difference was that Gino0808's NicoNico one has better sound quality, which well, most NicoNico reprints especially back then were usually lower quality than the originals so yeah.

Now the song isn't really a huge masterpiece in my opinion at least but I think it's pretty good and very unique, I think the mixing could be better, the PV is very good though, it's very beautiful and cool, and I think this song had a lot of potential. What are your thoughts?

hi guys this is very random for me to post , but

i may or may not own possible lost media.

to explain , i was looking at the youtube account of redbluerecords (the record company that first worked with my favorite band , aka the venetia fair.) and i clicked on their video "the venetia fair presents: hotel mania!". the video itself isnt that important , but the audio is. in some clips of the video , there's a song. i liked the song , so i tried looking up the lyrics. there are quite literally 0 matching results when i try to look them up.

the song sounds like it's punk or rock , and the singer is female.

also , i thought there could be a possible chance that it was just another venetia fair song or something like that. but this is impossible because a. the band has never had a female singer , or even a female band member , b. there's no way it's an unreleased demo because it didnt sound like something they made and also because of reason a , and c. they have no songs from when they were still with redbluerecords that even had those lyrics (keep in mind , the venetia fair was only working with redbluerecords for their first album , the circus.).

you can find the audio in a google drive i made containing the audios here. the first and third clip are just instrumentals , and the second clip contains lyrics. i apologize for the noises in the background (and also forgetting to properly trim the first clip), those were in the video. i would be happy even if someone can only identify the singer. also , i don't mind if you post this on other platforms / upload the mp3s to spread them around.

Remember Sekai-chan and Kafu-chan’s ensemble errand song?

Yeah, it was so fun and cute. Sekasekasekaseka..

But here’s one song that you may not have heard of before:

Sekai-chan and Kafu-chan’s food terrorism song

This song was created by a Vocaloid producer Sino (sometimes spelled shino or jino, not to be confused with the guy who composed Singing of a flower that made its way to sekai. As far as I know, these are different people)

The food terrorism song was released in 2022 and is essentially a silly danceable rock song with groovy guitars. By its energy, it actually reminds me of older rock n roll songs like Great balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis. Minus the piano

The food terrorism song was available on multiple streaming platforms such as Spotify, Youtube and Apple Music, along with Sino’s other songs. They had an automatically generated youtube page with their songs as well as their very own channel with original MV’s for their songs. They seemed pretty decent as well, and one of them was animated in a really eye candy art style. The MV reminded me of Beat eater card set in sekai and that song I’m specifically referring to was called Bug or something like that. But the only thing I’m certain is the Food terrorism song

At one point in 2024, Sino’s songs, including the Food terrorism song, completely disappeared from the internet. Some scarps of it could be found on Chinese websites with GREAT effort and searching throughout the World Wide Web, but even at the time, those links seemed suspicious. In 2025, I can’t even find the older Chinese links

And that is where I ask you, prsk-suggesters who potentially may be interested in Vocaloid lost media — have you heard of this song or the artist before? Do you have any links to their social media platforms where they are active, or at least where you can read any messages from the past? Do you know what happened to Sino’s songs? And is there a way to listen to them again?

Does the song Dirty Night Clowns remind any one else of Coraline? I’ve been wanting to make an edit forever. I know what the song is really about, I just can’t help but get Coraline vibes every time I listen to it. Could easily represent the Pink Palace and the Other Mother’s hold on Coraline and the ghost children.

Hide in Fiction's Hands (second recording)：　「It is a bop, and relatable. Very Tumblr song really.」

Prototype：　「this thing is a classic from my childhood. my dad would rip cds with stuff from a lot of underrated, small, and unknown artists for me, and sepiamusic was one of those artists. prototype isn't my favorite off of the album, but it's definitely one of the most obscure just going by youtube views (678) despite being the title track (the album is also called prototype). i feel like the crusty ass jpeg album cover just adds to the vibes here. i feel like this song really embodies the early 2000s electronic music this album came from too. it's hard at least for me to give it a proper genre, especially since it includes live drums and a little guitar in there as well, and even more on other songs in the album. the key change in the middle of the song is also interesting; it's not formatted like the usual key change, where the chorus will repeat a step up or something. here, the key changes at the END of a chorus and launches into an instrumental section with new parts. it's really cool. tbh the lyrics themselves aren't anything TOO groundbreaking, just a general "they wanted me to be this, but i'm not" thing but equating that with being a prototype and not necessarily a mistake or outsider is something i haven't heard anywhere else」
