🛡What is your characters strongest conviction/belief?

I wasn’t sure which of my characters to pick for this one, but I ultimately decided on Zero, the main character of my story Ten Levels. I've worked with him and his story for years, and honestly, it’s hard to pin him down to just one belief. I think his strongest belief is probably this:

Zero believes that redemption doesn’t come from denying who you are, but in choosing who you become.

He was raised in a monastic order, taught to be quiet, gentle, and ashamed of his ancestry. His people were called the Remorse, and were descendants of hunters, carnivores, and war. He was never even given a true name in his youth. His journey was meant to be about discovery and peace, but he wanted more. He always wanted more. He was curious, clever, and dangerously charming. The kind of person who could always justify that he was never really breaking the rules, just bending them to get what he desired.

And then he died, before he ever found that name for himself.

The story of Ten Levels follows him through his death, down in Hell, where he fights to return to the world of the living. He clings to the idea that he still hasn’t finished becoming who he was meant to be. But what he learns, slowly and painfully, is that not choosing, waiting for that perfect answer, can be a choice that hurts people too. That humility, sacrifice, and leadership can grow even from a soul full of longing and doubt.

Zero is a character who was always running. From his past, from rules, from stillness.. But in the end, he becomes someone who stands still for others. Someone who leads. And that transformation, I think, is his truest belief in action.

AITA for getting into a verbal fight with this guy from ma?

so for context, I'm a congressman and one of my co workers is really really annoying and loud. like, he's very clear with his opinions and usually annoys everyone, including those who share his. now, he was pissed off at me because I was drinking tea during the boycott, and like, I get it, but I made it? it's my tea? now, I didn't personally smuggle it, but a friend of mine got it to me without paying anything to great britain, so I tried to explain this to him, but he wouldn't listen!
