Less than a week until The Golden Raven comes out so I’m doing my own predictions and will revisit this post when I finish it (and will ofc tag any spoilers)

1.) Idk why but I feel like Ichirou is going to hear about Neil’s hit on Grayson and try to intercept it. Not really to protect Neil or anything, but just to see what happens if Neil’s forced to do it himself. And I do think he would do it himself if it came down to it, and Jean would be an absolute wreck if he found out. This is solely based in headcanon land and the likelihood of this happening is extremely slim but I wanna put it out there just in case.

2.) Jeremy backstory my beloved. It’s going to happen in this book, but it’s definitely not going to get resolved and we’re going to be sad about it. Also if we’re following the og series timeframes, the fall banquet will happen towards the middle/end of the book, so we’re bound to get some lore about what happened there. I stand by my recovering addict theory so I personally think Jeremy may have had a nonlethal od or something of that nature at the fall banquet, but I think it’s just as likely that it’s something completely unrelated.

3.) Going off the theme of Jeremy trauma, I’m 99.9% sure we’ll get Bryson lore and figure out why Jeremy is so afraid of him. Now that Jean has acknowledged that the Trojans are his friends and he cares about them, there will be almost nothing holding him back from asking about the stuff with Jeremy’s family and I think he will be…not happy, but proud that he can be a support system for Jeremy after everything he’s already done for Jean.

4.) I do unfortunately believe the Knox’s and the Moriyama’s are linked. I don’t think Jeremy knows about it at all, but I feel like he’s going to invite Jean over at one point and Ichirou’s just going to be sitting in the living room with Jeremy’s (not) grandfather.

5.) BEGGING ON MY HANDS AND KNEES FOR MORE ANDREW CONTENT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE-

6.) I don’t think the interview is going to go all that bad!!! I think it’s definitely going to be hard for both Kevin and Jean, but I don’t think it’s going to be a disaster for them either. Obviously people are going to use it to slander both the Trojans and the Foxes for the part they played in the Raven’s destruction, but I don’t think it’s going to be like a looming threat that colors the whole book yknow??? If anything I think it’s going to be what Jean and Kevin need to finally let go of the versions of each other that hurt them and allow them each to see how the other has grown. (and maybe they kiss once idk)

7.) I want a scene where the Trojan’s find out about Andrew and Neil. I want it so bad. In my head I feel like it would go like this:

Jeremy: Jean…I’m so sorry, but I just heard from Kevin that…Renee has a date for the fall banquet :(((

Jean: oh yeah she goes with the other goalkeeper every year, she told me.

Jeremy: ??? Jean you’re allowed to be upset about this ???

Jean: why would I be???

And just generally that vibe because Jean thinks it’s obvious but then remembers the Trojans have barely ever met the two of them.

8.) CAT AND LAILA LORE. SPECIFICALLY MORE LAILA LORE BECAUSE WE DON’T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT HER. BUT ALSO CAT BC SHE’S THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. MY FAVORITE LESBIANS YOUR HONOR. (I also want my “Laila having one-sided beef with Andrew” headcanon to be real but realistically I don’t think that’ll happen)

9.) Lucas is going to blame Jean for Grayson’s death. And Jean is going to feel awful because he does in fact think it’s his fault and he never actually wanted to hurt Lucas. Also…Lucas transfer to the Ravens perhaps??? I think it’s just as likely that they’ll sort of make up but tbh I think it’s also possible that it just pushes Lucas farther onto the Raven’s side.

10.) I want an update on the Cody/Pat/Ananya situation. That’s not a prediction that’s a threat. If I don’t get one I’m rioting.

Danny Phantom AU for the League (explanation under the cut)

There's a common (?) idea in the phandom that Sam dyes her hair black (or that her mom bleach her hair from black) and asdfghj that fits so well for Dabi. I can also see him being edgy and wearing eyeliner (he would tightline and you can't convince me otherwise) and eyeshadow to piss off Endeavor. (You can hardly see it, but I promise he has purple eyeshadow under his eyes.) I've been thinking about it and I'm not sure how Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Shoto would fit into this AU. Cousins? Maybe just siblings, and ignore Sam's only child-ness.

LINK (X) ok so I have drawn this before and I stand by Hana as Jazz and Tenko/Tomura as Fenton/Phantom. :)))) Danny's hair in the og art style makes no damn sense. Many an artist has bemoaned it (me included), so I decided to make Shigaraki's also confounding. (it's like??? a mullet???? but the mullet has layers????) Danny having Lichtenberg figure scars has recently had a resurgence in phandom and it's the perfect excuse to keep the scars around Shigaraki's mouth/eyes. (To symbolize the "scary eyes" and ghost sense.) Shigaraki gets to keep Danny's whole "getting new powers every time he needs to" shtick: one - because it's funny and two - it ties into the whole AFO quirk plotline. SPEAKING OF. AFO gets to take Vlad's place :)))) except!!! I think it'd work better if AFO was a "friend" of Tenko's grandmother and that's how he's weaseled his way into the family. No Vlad wanting Maddie and killing Jack subplot. Just AFO up to his usual shenanigans. I'm on the fence about whether or not Dabi would secretly be a kickass gamer (Sam was, but only kept it a secret because of 2000s misogyny about girls playing games.... idk how that'd transfer to Dabi other than Dabi trying to maintain a "too cool for that" image....)

(Hana as Jazz. Jazz loves her brother and tries to support him but is also overbearing and ignores what he says in favor of what she wants. I feel like an older Hana would fit into that well.... not that we know much about Hana, but from what can be gathered I think it'd fit. And Danny wanted a dog! Eventually has Cujo tagging along! Also a very good mirror for Mon and Tenko.)

Tucker! Spinner! my loves!!!! I wasn't sure originally if I wanted Spinner to be a ghost or a human, but as we can see I plopped him in Tucker's role. Because it fits so well. (I still vividly remember the post about "who loves Danny more? Valerie or Sam. the answer: neither, it's Tucker. Savant Par and Spinaraki mimicing the much larger fanbase for Amethyst Ocean and Shigadabi) Also, Spinner getting to connect with Tenko over games (DOOMED) and technology. I imagine that Spinner wears a bandana to cover up his roots showing. I see Tucker as taking special care of his appearance, but I don't see where Spinner's like that, so he gets a lazier option :) Oooooh should I give Spinner glasses? ooooh I bet he'd have glasses, but never want to wear them because they'd make him look nerdy. Anyway, just like Tucker and Danny, Spinner would face his fears to help and support Shigaraki :))))) (crying over his devotion)

Other Characters:

Dash, Paulina, Kwan, and Star? Maybe Uraraka and Toga as Johnny 13 and Kitty? hehehee could be cute. the fights and getting back together and Toga having to blow off steam in the human world? Kwan befriends Sam and Tucker, so maybe Twice would fit into Kwan's role? OH!!! And then have Hawks be Dash. (I don't think anyone has ever shipped Sam and Dash but that's why this is an AU.)

Deku can be Poindexter.... cause bullying (asdfghj yea it sidelines Deku a bit and sticks him in a very minor role and is an easy choice, but!! some fics make Poindexter and Danny kind of friends!! I think that'd be a nice mirror to what Shigaraki and Deku could've been - along with the initial misunderstandings that Poindexter has about Danny mirroring the way that Deku had to learn more about Shigaraki.

Ember? Maybe as Compress.... he has the theatrics DOWN lmao. And Magne as part of the band perhaps? That'd be cute.

(I don't feel like I know enough about Mustard to put him in any specific role.....)

GOOD question i've churned out quite a few and i dont think i've ever lumped em together... uh full disclosure a lot of my fav aus were collabs or asks sent by my lovely mutuals :) they rule and are probably my faves so i'll lead with those

FCO: forced coming out au... she's maina @kingofthering and i's baby. marc and vale caught fucking in an alleyway a few months after the sepang fallout and vale comes forward to fake date marc in order to keep him from losing his ride... very much about the violence of fame and vale sort of using his influence with the media to PROTECT marc rather than harm him. a fun time with lots of fraught fake dating your ex situations. visuals here

same age au: elle @lestelledreams dropped this in my lap because shes a genius ! and two fics on ao3 were written about it which is CRAZY. basic premise is how it sounds: marc marquez is born in 1979 and they spend their early years doing a very codependent little rivalry/first love dance that gets cracked the fuck open right around the time of marc's arm injury. sweet and very y2k and very about them being stupid overly-competitve teens with REALLY different vibes and sort of. only being able to identify with each other i love it a lot

kayaking/whitewater au: niche sport forever i think about her all the time. kind of my own way to excise some personal feelings as a girl who quit doing a death sport as a teen and then kind of continued working in the same industry as said deathsport and who's brother's lack of little danger voice in his head wrt to the sport reads very marc to me. also im tortured because i simply think they would be very good at it. marc let me get you in a half-slice hard boat pspspsps... and tbh they just fit the vibe. need vale to meet an old man kayaker its the fookin same

reporter au: yayyyyy i love mess. this one is more about saw trapping these fools im like hmm what would hurt marc a LOT. oh never being able to ride only being able to interact with the sport from the other side of the proverbial glass. what would hurt vale a LOT. oh being in love with a REPORTER. lots of half chances and repressed anger and being kind of damaged so you blow your relationships the fuck up. also a sepang-esque scenario that dials in on marc's vindictive streak through it all which i enjoy. my wife is a bitch.

(fem to masc frame anon) i see! no worries if not, but would you ever consider doing a mini tutorial on converting masc to fem frame? ik there are tutorials for mesh editing, but i haven't found any that detail specifically frame-switching steps, like how to replace the neck that comes "attached" with mascframe tops that makes femframe sims look like no-neck ed lol

first you need to export whichever mesh you want to convert

Highlight the e/a body parts from the clothes (I have 'linked pick' turned on and highlight easily by hitting 'L') and seperate

Append the fem-frame mesh ( i used the flat fem-frame)

Sculpting is where it all happens; i use grab tool and elastic deform the most. Solid mode + x-ray on helps you sculpt the mesh correctly to fit the new body 

And were good!

Now un-hide the original mesh. What i usually do is click both meshes so i can see what parts of the new body i need to preserve based on the original mesh’s body. What i do is, hit the ‘C’ key and highlight/ go over all the spots in orange as shown above. This is the mesh we need to keep.

This is what youll have left after deleting the unneeded parts (i ofc deleted the bottom torso area after..)

You can use bisect tool to further perfect the faces to avoid clipping

Now transfer the weights from the OG mesh to your new one (and ofc make sure alls well)

You probably can leave the uv_1 alone (if it has items like bows and theyre moved up/down the body, you need to correct it)

Open up cas tools and clone the original package

Import your version

Make sure to change the tag from “male” to “female”, (you can do the same with fem-masc fashion but it's up to you) and hit restrict opposite frame so fem-frame appears

Lastly if issues with the uv-1 happens or the arms clip in (or too far at rest) , click the auto-assign slotrays to fix that

Adapting a work from one medium to another is hard, and fans are impossible to please, but occasionally, you get the adaptation that do the OG justice, perhaps even elevates it. We voted for what we hate at @book-was-better and @booktomoviebrawl, now we find the adaptions we love.

For the purpose of this tournament an adaptation is...

A work which transfers a piece of art from one medium to another.

Any medium counts as long as it's different from the OG

An adaptation must have the same protagonist(s) and share major plot points with the OG. There can be changes from the original but it should not be focused on whole new plot.

INTOXICATING FEAR POLL

Okay, helloo, so I kind of want to leave the original Intoxicating Fear as it is, so I am writing to ask if people want me to update the series here or on the main blog I am in the process of moving to?

Of course, I can just as easy update all the parts here and keep the OG Intoxicating Fear story in a word document as it is!!! (Which I have already)

But I will have to transfer IF over to the main blog at some point in the future anyways, so... IDK - The tag-list will still be used of course so people tagged won't miss it, it's more for people who follow this blog and see updates that way? So, help me?
