Oh, so it IS like that. :)
Because Trump was never ready to work within a partial deal like what the Supreme Court tried to hand him on a platter.
So basically, the overwhelming majority of the case against Trump--the one with 34 Guilty counts--was either about personal business, or referenced pre-Presidential conduct, or referenced conduct that was part of the Public Record and therefore non-privileged.
So basically, Trump has to be sentenced. :) This has to stand since the Supreme Court ruling can't apply, on its own terms, even if they could make Ex Post Facto Law.
So when does Trump get fitted for Prison Stripes?
So when does he have to change his address to Riker's Island?
So when does he get called out for having GUNS as a convicted felon?
So when does he have to live on a diet of minimal water and Nutri-Loaf, until he's shitting LEGO Bricks?
So when does Trump do the bulk of his time in solitary confinement for his own safety, as well as for national security reasons? That last one might be way more relevant than you think, in light of:
Yeah, it's a bit weird, that reforms to the law and circumstances surrounding "solitary confinement" as such, as it would exist on Riker's Island and other prisons under the state of New York's control, suddenly get put on hold like that. Gee, golly goodness, I can only wonder why . . . =)) It's almost as if their prison system's anticipating their having to welcome an unusual client.
Okay, but seriously, all humor aside, it's really not terribly likely that Trump will get much more than an ankle monitor and house arrest away from Mar-a-Lago (which is not in New York).
But still, one can hope we can make wannabe dictator Trump shit some LEGO Bricks. It's almost a slogan--Make Trump Shit LEGO Bricks Again. But hey.

im shaking every single student organizer and screaming that they need to separate a demand to divest from arms funding from the demand for a university to cut off all contact with Israeli and Israeli-American scholars and students, a demand which no university will agree to because implementing it would in many cases be very illegal
#We’re not talking about personal ethics or whatever or strategy#We’re talking about the fact that discriminating against people based on ethnic origin nationality or passport is in fact a complete#Violation of almost any especially state universities legal code of conduct#And if they did that they could get sued. The thing no one ever considers while writing up character analyses about Merlin is that. he must have been sooooooo sleepy.

Why minors can indeed have ASPD
[PT] Why minors can indeed have ASPD [END PT]
Written by, and yours truly, a minor professionally dxed with ASPD.
It's an very popular misconception that minors cannot have ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) and instead must have CD (Conduct Disorder) because the diagnosis criteria states an individual must be 18 or older. But here is why that is wrong;
'Adult diagnosis' isn't really a thing as mental disorders can't just appear in adulthood. The causes of ASPD include genetics and childhood trauma and symptoms of ASPD can start at as young as 2-5 years old and in order to be diagnosed you must've showed symptoms before the age of 15.
Conduct Disorder is not an minor equivalent to ASPD, they're two different disorders. Adults can have CD just as well as minors can have ASPD. Conduct Disorder refers to unlawful conduct/behavior and CD itself doesn't typically affect the entire personality since it's not a personality disorder while ASPD does and is more severe than CD.
Although few, there have been multiple cases of minors being diagnosed with ASPD because their symptoms were too severe to be CD, and the symptoms weren't the result of puberty or from another disorder. One of, and maybe the only, reason why minors aren't typically diagnosed is because differentiating antisocial behavior and just normal teenage behavior can be difficult.
Of course still most minors won't be professionally diagnosed, a lot of them are self-diagnosed and there is no problem with that either as long as they've done their research and they know it's not CD nor puberty or another disorder. "What if they're wrong?" "What if it is CD?" It's okay to be wrong about self-diagnosis, they're no professional and you probably aren't either.
You don't know what another person has and, unless they blatantly say they're faking, you cannot know they're faking. Tired of some of y'all talking about a disorder you don't have or know nothing about.

After being Barney’s drinking buddy for a sufficient amount of time, Gordon has noticed a sort of scale he operates in. He keeps a short list in the back of his mind. as a safety precaution:
Buzzed- Drinking has started; hardly noticeable; generally seems more mellow.
Tipsy- A drink or two in; visibly giddier; speech slightly less coherent however still completely intelligible.
Intoxicated- Fully drunk; thick slurring of speech; a threshold is passed.
Hammered- ??; have yet to experience. Hypothesis: he is an emotional drunk
Blackout- have yet to experience, however secondhand encounters inform me of him having to be “dealt with.”
From his own encounters, Barney doesn’t appear to want to get hammered–or even intoxicated very often. Gordon has found that usually a few drinks will do it.
Although, during the Alien marathon weekend a while back there had been conclusive evidence that if in possession of a constant stream of alcohol while also in the correct environment, he will comfortably cross the threshold.

Had the cutest realization last night- so there's a saying we have in English meaning to get something done by any means necessary. It specifically includes dishonest methods, such as violence or lying. So when you're willing to resort to that kind of thing to achieve your goals, you say you're going to do something
"by hook or by crook"
#honkai star rail#Hook because her name is literally Hook and Sampo because he can claim innocence all he wants he's still a crook fjkdsjal#I'm sure this is just coincidence BUT STILL#IT ONLY FURTHER CEMENTS THEM AS A DYNAMIC DUO FOR ME#they're so cute and I love them so much one of my fave pairs fr UWEH#they are literally 'by hook or by crook' in this screenshot too fjkdasjk#this was from Hook's companion quest where Hook literally beats a man unconscious for stealing from her dad-#-and then Sampo promptly helps her lie for profit which she is grateful to him for#I hope they become shady business partners in the future jfkdlasjfkld#I mean I'm pretty sure they already kind of conduct business together. The Moles see and hear everything in the underworld after all.#They're essentially information brokers and Hook is their leader.#When Sampo joins a party with Hook already there he comments that he guesses they're gonna play hardball today.#Which could be interpreted as physical fighting since Hook obvs has no problem with violence and sneaks into the Fragmentum a lot haha but-#-personally I love to think it's a comment on Sampo and Hook having business negotiations. I hope she extorts him for candy and toys fjkfjd#honkai star rail sampo#honkai star rail hook#hsr#hsr sampo#hsr hook#sampo koski#pitch dark hook the great#hook & sampo

Some realizations/observations gained from reading The Outsiders after seeing the movie first:
Ponyboy doesn't actually like Dallas very much. Funnily enough, my feelings about Dally mirrored Pony's as the story progressed, and he started to grow on both of us around the same time.
Steve has more of a presence (and thus, more personality) in the book, and isn't just there as extra padding for the cast. Also, his and Soda's friendship is one of the best things about the post-fire portion of the book. I'd kill to see them embroiled in a game of Monopoly or Pit with the rest of the gang.
Dally and Johnny both give Ponyboy the opposite advice the day they die because they both want to protect him, but in different ways. Dally tells him to get tough and hardened so he won't end up dying because he helped someone, like Johnny; Johnny tells him not to change, because helping people and getting excited about things like sunsets makes life more worthwhile (and he wants him to rub off on Dally so Dally can have some joy in his life).
"I hate fights" was partially the truth, but I am convinced that the reason Cherry so quickly switched gears and agreed to leave with Bob was because she was thinking about what Ponyboy had just told her, and she was trying to protect Johnny, because she already knew that Bob was the one who had attacked him and given him his scar.
Johnny was held back a year in school and Ponyboy was bumped ahead, which puts them in the same grade.
I've already mentioned this before, but I'm still not over Ponyboy being a Pepsi addict and Sodapop being horse crazy. Boys, you had one job.
Sodapop is middle child syndrome and undiagnosed ADHD personified.
Johnny was jumped in the spring, four months before the story begins. At some point Ponyboy mentions that it's fall when the story is taking place, and this is also evidenced in the fact that it's cool out and school is in session, placing the events of the story in September. And Mr. and Mrs. Curtis died eight months prior, which would be in January, so Ponyboy's just straight up having the worst year of his life.
I could not, for the life of me, figure out why Johnny "the most law-abiding of us" Cade idolized Dally so much when so much of Dally's personality and behavior is in direct contradiction to Johnny's personal values—and of all fucking things, this post is the thing that made me finally understand it.
The newspaper article's existence makes so much more sense when you know the boys were talking to a bunch of reporters in the hospital.
The gang's dynamic makes so much more sense, too, partially because they get more actual scenes together, and partially because of Ponyboy's narration explaining stuff.
Ponyboy hates to watch movies with other people because he likes to get sucked into the plots without any distractions, and having anyone else with him feels like having someone read over his shoulder. AND YET he went to see Gone With the Wind with Johnny AND later read the book aloud to him.
Some scenes in the movie make Johnny more relaxed than he was in the book, and some make him even more of a nervous wreck, and it's interesting how he reacts to the same scenarios differently without ever seeming out of character. In the movie when Two-Bit sneaks up on him at the drive-in, he does jump out of his skin initially, but he quickly recovers and goes right to sassing him, but in the book he has a full blown anxiety attack that it takes him several minutes to recover from, because he legitimately thought he was getting jumped again. When the Socs approach him in the park in the book, Ponyboy can see that he's panicking on the inside, but to anyone who doesn't know him well, he appears calm and tough on the outside. He also stays steady after killing Bob, even while Ponyboy's screaming his head off. While in the movie, he's outwardly jumpy when the Socs show up, and he's in clear shock after killing Bob, with a lot of shaking and stammering. There are quite a few more switch-ups like this, but book!Johnny and movie!Johnny both still feel like the exact same person regardless.
#The Outsiders#Johnny Cade#Ponyboy Curtis#some clarification for why the post in the link made me finally get Johnny and Dally's dynamic:#I work in customer service too and my work ethic and general personal standards for how to conduct myself#would never ever ever ever allow me to do anything like that#I'd be way too anxious about getting fired plus I would feel bad even if I didn't get caught and even though the guy was a massive jerk#but GOD the “I want to be you so bad” feelings toward the op are so strong#it's that sense of “I could never personally do this but I admire your guts and gosh I bet that felt great”#and also “he had it coming thank you for your service”#long post

You Should Know About Conduct Disorder
Conduct disorder (CD), sometimes also referred to as dissocial disorder, is a condition, that between 2-10% of people are diagnosed with, tho the actual number of people experiencing enough symptoms to meet criteria may be higher.
It is grouped under "Disruptive, Impulse-Control and Conduct Disorders" in the DSM-5 alongside oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), intermittent explosive disorder (IED) pyromania, kleptomania, otherwise specified & unspecified "..." disorder and antisocial personality disorder (which is grouped here and under personality disorders).
All of these conditions involve some sort of problem in the self control of emotions and/or behavior and are differentiated from other emotional/behavioral regulation problems, by including a violation of the rights of others and/or bringing the individual into significant conflict with societal norms or authority figures.
Conduct disorder has the following criteria points (quoted):
A. A repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior in which the basic rights of others or major age-appropriate societal norms or rules are violated, as manifested by the presence of at least three of the following 15 criteria in the past 12 months from any of the categories below, with at least one criterion present in the past 6 months:
■ Category: Aggression to People and Animals
1. Often bullies, threatens, or intimidates others.
2. Often initiates physical fights.
3. Has used a weapon that can cause serious physical harm to others (e.g., a bat, brick, broken bottle, knife, gun).
4. Has been physically cruel to people.
5. Has been physically cruel to animals.
6. Has stolen while confronting a victim (e.g., mugging, purse snatching, extortion, armed robbery).
7. Has forced someone into sexual activity.
■ Category: Destruction of Property
8. Has deliberately engaged in fire setting with the intention of causing serious damage.
9. Has deliberately destroyed others’ property (other than by fire setting).
■ Category: Deceitfulness or Theft
10. Has broken into someone else’s house, building, or car.
11. Often lies to obtain goods or favors or to avoid obligations (i.e., “cons” others).
12. Has stolen items of nontrivial value without confronting a victim (e.g., shoplifting, but without breaking and entering; forgery).
■ Category: Serious Violation of Rules
13. Often stays out at night despite parental prohibitions, beginning before age 13 years.
14. Has run away from home overnight at least twice while living in the parental or parental surrogate home, or once without returning for a lengthy period.
15. Is often truant from school, beginning before age 13 years.
B. The disturbance in behavior causes clinically significant impairment in social, academic, or occupational functioning.
C. If the individual is age 18 years or older, criteria are not met for antisocial personality disorder
Specify whether:
• Childhood-onset type: Individuals show at least one symptom characteristic of conduct disorder prior to age 10 years.
• Adolescent-onset type: Individuals show no symptom characteristic of conduct disorder prior to age 10 years.
• Unspecified onset: Criteria for a diagnosis of conduct disorder are met, but there is not enough information available to determine whether the onset of the first symptom was before or after age 10 years.
Specify if: With limited prosocial emotions => To qualify for this specifier, an individual must have displayed at least two of the following characteristics persistently over at least 12 months and in multiple relationships and settings. These characteristics reflect the individual’s typical pattern of interpersonal and emotional functioning over this period and not just occasional occurrences in some situations. Thus, to assess the criteria for the specifier, multiple information sources are necessary. In addition to the individual’s self-report, it is necessary to consider reports by others who have known the individual for extended periods of time (e.g., parents, teachers, co-workers, extended family members, peers):
● Lack of remorse or guilt: Does not feel bad or guilty when he or she does something wrong (exclude remorse when expressed only when caught and/or facing punishment). The individual shows a general lack of concern about the negative consequences of his or her actions. For example, the individual is not remorseful after hurting someone or does not care about the consequences of breaking rules.
● Callous—lack of empathy: Disregards and is unconcerned about the feelings of others. The individual is described as cold and uncaring. The person appears more concerned about the effects of his or her actions on himself or herself, rather than their effects on others, even when they result in substantial harm to others.
● Unconcerned about performance: Does not show concern about poor/problematic performance at school, at work, or in other important activities. The individual does not put forth the effort necessary to perform well, even when expectations are clear, and typically blames others for his or her poor performance.
● Shallow or deficient affect: Does not express feelings or show emotions to others, except in ways that seem shallow, insincere, or superficial (e.g., actions contradict the emotion displayed; can turn emotions “on” or “off" quickly) or when emotional expressions are used for gain (e.g., emotions displayed to manipulate or intimidate)
Specify current severity:
• Mild: Few if any conduct problems in excess of those required to make the diagnosis are present, and conduct problems cause relatively minor harm to others (e.g., lying, truancy, staying out after dark without permission, other rule breaking).
• Moderate: The number of conduct problems and the effect on others are intermediate between those specified in “mild” and those in “severe” (e.g., stealing without confronting a victim, vandalism).
• Severe: Many conduct problems in excess of those required to make the diagnosis are present, or conduct problems cause considerable harm to others (e.g., forced sex, physical cruelty, use of a weapon, stealing while confronting a victim, breaking and entering).
The associated features section additionally notes: "Especially in ambiguous situations, aggressive individuals with conduct disorder frequently misperceive the intentions of others as more hostile and threatening than is the case and respond with aggression that they then feel is reasonable and justified. Personality features of trait negative emotionality and poor self-control, including poor frustration tolerance, irritability, temper outbursts, suspiciousness, insensitivity to punishment, thrill seeking, and recklessness, frequently co-occur with conduct disorder. Substance misuse is often an associated feature, particularly in adolescent females. Suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and completed suicide occur at a higher than expected rate in individuals with conduct disorder"
Other mentioned info:
• CD onset after age 16 is rare
• childhood onset CD often (but not always) has the precursor ODD (aka you qualify for ODD before you qualify for CD)
• in a majority of cases the disorder remits by adulthood
• risk factors include genetics, environmental, etc.
Now, thats a lot of information and conduct disorder, as well as the other conditions in the group, are also heavily debated within both the psychological field and online spaces, so it can be a bit hard to really understand whats going on here!
Let me try to explain the condition to you with the help of my own experience, as I was verbally diagnosed with "dissocial disorder" at the age of 15! I do have to mention though, that my diagnostic assessment already included an ASPD specific questionaire and heavily focused on those symptoms as I already met all seven of them and my psych used both "dissocial disorder" and "dissocial personality disorder" to refer to what I have! Therefore your experience with an assessment may look very different!
Its important to note, that not every person with conduct disorder goes on to develop ASPD! There is estimates that mention that 25% of girls and 40% of boys with CD go on to develop ASPD, but the numbers differ depending on who you ask! For some the disorder remits and some receive other follow up diagnoses, or may simply stick with CD.
Of the above mentioned criteria list, I met the bullying/threatening (1), lying (11) and stealing (12) criteria with a sort of frequency, but also showed a few cases of physical fights (2), property damage (9) and skipping school (14). I suppose if you count randomly slapping others cus I thought it was fun or goading them into injuring themselves, as evidence for physical cruelty (4) I also met that a little, but I am not sure whether it counts.
I suspect that I might qualify for childhood onset CD, as I already stole in kindergarden (age 3-6) and elementary school (age 6-10) and was also very known for being aggressive, resisting authority/being defiant, insulting others, lying if it suited me, putting others in bad situations for my own amusement and bullying a teacher of mine at that age.
I definitely presented with limited prosocial emotions and showed all four hallmarks: lack of remorse/guilt, callous lack of empathy, being unconcerned about performance (to the point of having to repeat a year) and shallow/deficient emotions.
In addition to that, there were a few other things, that were counted towards my CD diagnosis (or rather used as further evidence), namely: an overall aggressive response being my first instinct, trying to get people online to kill themselves, being very obsessed with violence overall and having frequent fantasies surrounding it, being very impulsive & reckless & irresponsible in my decision making, methodically breaking school rules, as well as having concrete plans to commit a school shooting and running an online blog promoting it and believing I was correct to do these things in all cases.
Despite having shown a lot of obvious externalized behavior and breaking a few actual laws, I have not had any contact with the police thus far! Some of the mildness of my behaviors, is due to the fact, that I gew up learning, that avoiding punishment and being sneaky and careful with the way I break rules, is more benefitial in the long run, as my brother, who was very much not careful, frequently got reprimanded/punished and served as a prime example for how I would not be able to thrive in peace if I was like him.
The individual presentation of conduct disorder will differ depending on a lot of factors and not everyone presents severely! A lot of cases are simply classed as "kids being kids", "teenagers being hormonal" or "a few bad influences causing it", thus leading to those individuals falling under the radar.
Whether or not a child acts out in a certain environment will heavily depend on: what types of acting out they know they can get away with, how desensitized they are to punishment, how capable they are of worming their way out of responsibility, how much they can control their own behavior & emotions, what they have observed their parents/friends doing, what bullies/relatives have done to them, what resources they have available, how much respect they have for certain people, etc.
The CD criteria mentions a few common behaviors, but technically any sort of crime and anything that is regularely done that causes harm to others, should count as possible evidence towards CD. Its difficult to give examples here, as the frequency, consequences and presentation over a variety of contexts are very important in addition to the nature of the behavior itself.
What does end up being evidence and whether or not you will meet criteria/will meet certain symptoms, very much depends on the psychologist you're working with, what culture you live in and whether or not your professional has a certain bias. The paper "Evidence based assessment of DSM-5 Disruptive, Impulse Control and Conduct disorders" by Jeffrey D. Burke et al. goes into those biases, differentiates the conditions and also delivers a list of assessments that can be used to diagnose them.
To give you another two possible presentations, I'll tell you about two other CD cases that I personally know! Prior to age 12 (afaik) child 1 has met the criteria points for: forcing someone into sexual activity (7), destroyed property (9), lied (11), stolen (12), stayed out at night (13), skipped school (15) at the very least (I am not aware of whether they meet the rest!). They also meet all four hallmarks of limited prosocial emotions and went into treatment around the age of 12/13 if I remember correctly. Their sister now also presents with evidence of CD primarily: staying out (13), lying (11), stealing (12), animal cruelty (5) and cruelty to people (4) + aggression outbursts at the very least. => Presentation heavily depends on the person!
When it comes to treatment/recovery, the DSM-5 mentions that remission in cases that have childhood onset is rarer than remission in adolescent onset cases, which makes sense, as the behavior is much more ingrained and a lot of important developmental moments & important relationships likely went wrong!
It is however not impossible to achieve remission before the child/teen hits adulthood, thus preventing that the child/teen meets criteria for diagnoses like personality disorders (and even in those remission can be achieved).
In order to achieve this, clinicians have to work a lot on how they treat & perceive children with CD & adjacent conditions and may benefit from coming up with measures of identifying behavioral & emotional problems earlier, in order to offer assistance before the pattern fully builds itself.
The category of "Disruptive, Impulse Control and Conduct Disorders" and related concepts also receive different kinds of criticism from both professionals and mental health communities:
• some professionals question why ASPD is the only diagnosis that requires you to meet evidence for CD, when not even every person with CD goes on to meet ASPD => thus they wonder why other conditions do not require it or why ASPD specifically does. theres at least one paper on it that discusses this!
• many people criticize that ODD can be applied to people who simply question bigoted/mean teachers, people with PDA profiles, etc. and that IED simply pathologizes the emotional expression of anger, as abnormal/inappropiate and could as an example be falsly applied to people who are actually having autistic meltdowns.
• some people do not support CD officially only being categorized by behavior and only including things that are basically criminal already (with little exception). theres people who believe impulsivity, the breaking of school rules, verbal aggression that isnt necessarily threats/bullying, explicit violent thoughts and such should be included in the criteria.

I agree with you on Sasori having szpd a 100%. Drop the reasoning pls tho🙏🏻 Sasori is not talked about enough
in my view, sasori (as a human) was in the middle of developing szpd + conduct disorder. possibly possessing autistic traits as well, though i will have to rewatch shippuden to get the full picture.
the reason i specify conduct disorder (rather than aspd) and "developing" szpd is because sasori is permanently a 15 year old after he made himself into a puppet. his brain never developed enough for his condition to be fully matured.
keep in mind that the information i am pulling from is solely from memory, and that i plan on writing a more thorough analysis essay on his character once i finish rewatching the anime. so there may be inaccuracies within this post.
let's begin with his past. his parents died in a war by the hands of sakumo hatake, leaving sasori alone at a very young age and without proper guidance. alone even when he was taken under chiyo's care due to her emotional neglect and general distant behavior. the most significant thing she did for him was introduce sasori to puppeteer (remember, chiyo blamed herself for not being there for sasori when he needed her the most).
sasori made puppets of his parents, craving love and affection. although this is not typical schizoid behavior, it is important to note that sasori is still a very young child who is struggling to cope with the loss of his parents. his symptoms are only beginning to develop, especially when he dropped his puppet parents and realized that these replicas weren't what he truly craved.
those replica puppets of his parents weren't enough for him, and this is where we see his first developing symptom of schizoid personality. he hates the yearning and vulnerability that came with craving something more real and organic.
now, most children end up spiraling in a pit of self-blame whenever they feel unloved or not properly cared for, even if its the caretaker's (chiyo) fault. continuously questioning their self-worth and trying to prove themselves to that caretaker.
if i remember correctly? we do not see this behavior with sasori outside of him trying to "fix" his loss through puppets. instead, he takes on the schizoid trait of severe emotional suppression. he doesn't try to form a connection with chiyo, even if there is a possibility of him wanting to. rather, they coexist under the same roof without actually "living" together.
chiyo's actions are considered to be severe emotional neglect that heavily damages sasori's way of processing, handling, and viewing his own emotions. and since he lacks a proper role model, his sense of morality and perception of the world grows to become heavily skewed. thus he develops conduct disorder or antisocial traits through his usage of developing his puppets and his lack of sensitivity towards life itself.
how he's more willing to turn his only friend into a puppet than to allow that friend to die as a person with his own will. the lack of empathy for another person's conscience; desperately trying to hold onto object permanence rather than the person themself.
vulnerability is something that sasori fears and resents more than anything. from his obsession with trying to eliminate as many physical vulnerabilities in puppet users once found by enemies, to his dislike for his own humanity.
the fact that sasori chose to become a puppet at the age of 15 feels like the snapping point of schizoid personality that only fiction can capture. the true elimination of feeling and heart. to live dissociatively and watching life pass on through the screens of our eyes.
for schizoids, we feel as though we live life mechanically. that our very own eyes are similar to that of our phone screens; the gateway to the external world that we otherwise contempt and feel threatened by. the schizoid personality is characterized by the severation of the external and internal world.
and sasori turning himself into a puppet feels like a very literal interpretation of these descriptions.
it doesn't help that there are many psychologists who theorieze that schizoids resemble borderlines during emotional crisis. how he almost "splits" on those he views to have left his sacred control or "system." splitting also occurs with schizoid individuals, though in a very different way since most of the time it is not emotionally recognized or processed.
speaking of his relationships with other people, he really doesn't associate himself with anyone willingly. he only worked with the akatsuki because he lost the fight against konan.
as for his puppets... they almost feel like a defense mechanism. protecting himself from the trauma he endured as a human as he isolates himself at a steadfast pace.
schizoids are human beings: so naturally, we, too, need community on some level in order to remain healthy. even if it's surface level.
but sasori takes this "surface level connection" to a whole new way when it comes to his puppets. because his puppets are his people, his object permanence that brings him a sense of security. many of his puppets were real people.
it's almost like his puppets are a barrier between him and the organic, external world. his verison if an internal world, solely owned and controlled by him. his space where he feels like he can control, eliminate, and control threats to his autonomy and safety. an enternal self-preservation without any outside interference.
i genuinely believe that with his track record of emotional suppression and general isolation, sasori's brain would have developed szpd upon entering adulthood if he had remained human. instead, it feels more like he buried himself into that disorder by force when he became a puppet.
i feel like i have more to talk about... but nothing else immediately comes to mind. thank you for reading.

“but IIIIII don’t do x with my friends so my ‘friends don’t do that’ statement is totally fine and valid and not at all harmful or dismissive to other people’s relationships or arophobic in any way by implying that my standards for certain actions being inherently romantic is a universal truth about all relationships!!!” do people hear themselves when they speak
#gav gab#im so tired#you talk about a generalization and how amatonormativity and arbitrary relationship standards#where friends don’t do x whatever x is#are harmful to aro people and just generally inappropriate and rude to the relationships of others#and someone comes out of the wood work to imply you’re saying they specifically and personally are Wrong#for how they conduct their personal relationships#and you’re trying to force them to cuddle/kiss/fuck their friends or whatever#as if that’s remotely something you said#being aromantic online is exhausting lmfao#like no#telling you that you have to stop making weird generalizations#that limit platonic relationships and privilege romantic relationships over everything else#is not trying to tell you how to conduct yourself individually and personally#‘stop saying everyone who does x means y’ ‘but IIIII mean y’#that could not be less the point this is not about you lmfao

so uh milgram fans are we ready to talk about this yet?

the fact that the real subject of the “experiment” of milgram is Es, not the prisoners? and how beyond the story, the true subjects are actually us, the viewers?
#now what I’m curious about is what es is being tested for#and why? is it just about obedience#like the original milgram experiment#or is there more to it?#is es’s true identity beyond their amnesia even important? or are they just an audience stand-in… are they even a real person?#or are they just a manifestation of ‘us’ aka the audience and also the true subjects of the experiment#and what does Jackalope learn from all this? he’s implied this isn’t the only time a milgram project has been run…#or is there another person - the ‘stanely milgram’ of this situation we could say#(since jackalope is the experimenter es is the teacher and the prisoners are the learners)#… or is deco*27 the ‘stanely milgram’ of this scenario#where do the lines blur between the fictional nature of the scenario and the real nature of the social experiment -#- that’s clearly being conducted here?#idk im sooooo fascinated by the link between the milgram experiments and the milgram project#(plz go read the whole Wikipedia article if u can it’s super interesting)#milgram#es#milgram project#es milgram#jackalope#milgram experiment#jackalope milgram

I've begun my running journey recently, and I've been having a fun time! Slowly improving my endurance with each run, and I'm trying my best to be more consistent. So far my longest runs have still been 10ks, but I want to slowly increase my distance. I'm still very very slow and mainly do a lot of run/walk interval running, but I've been enjoying the process.
#it me#running#comic#personal comic#sketches#i'm so very slow haha#my average pace for 6 miles is 11:43 min/mi haha#my goal is to eventually get my pace in the 9 min range since i want to run for longer amounts#doing a half marathon would be a dream or a 10 miler#also your girl got herself a running vest and some of those bone conducting headphones so i can listen to my music and zone out#honestly i love the run around miles 2-4 so far#hoping i get that range to go longer since it's really nice and i zone out during that time#i hate the first mile so much tho....
