This picture hangs in a local mexican restaurant. It is one of the most interesting paintings I have seen outside of an Escher. REJOINDER: A few days ago, I posted a process/breakdown of this design. Many of you were vocal about liking it...Thank you. I failed to mention something important, however: The forces on the outside—the them—aren't really, in any sane reality, the thing to worry about. And if they are, they're only there because you invited them at some point (You ultimately only ever play yourself). This salutatory defense that is built up between the outside ring of 'They' and the inner heart of 'Me' isn't a defense at all...It's a tomb. They're not the problem. Your choice to remain yourself isn't really the problem either, though if you were smart and if you could, you should consider changing. No, the doom is you. You're gonna bring this temple of you down on your head, and if they breach the walls before you do then the joke's on them because kaboom. It doesn't really matter because they don't really matter and either way you're bound up in this salt-circle of your own making and will end up flat on your back, laughing at how stupid it all totally is, most and first and foremost and mainly you, this thing that thought it was worth protecting in the first place. I’m all wonky on my Daily Blog Challenge Posts, but yesterday’s was on point: Day 14: Tell Me About Your Significant Other: So, let me introduce you to my sweetie, Scott. #myhottiescottie We have been together for almost 5 1/2 years and we met online. Yup, he was the best thing to come out of Match.com. I had been on a few dates from Match, but was pretty discouraged overall – too many unwanted dick pics and painfully boring “dates” and too many offers to come over and get in the hot tub before even meeting face to face IRL. #uhnothanks I had canceled my membership but I still had a couple of weeks in the billing cycle, so I remained “live” on the site. I think Scott and I showed up in each other’s “daily matches” and he winked at me. I checked out his profile and scrolled past.
