Allow me to summarize:

Looks like the Corporation will be willing to add another $1M to the San Antonio project. However, I need to get another EIFS proposal. So maybe, if I’m lucky, that project might drift beyond Memorial Day.

Looks like the sinkhole in Vicksburg, will remain for now. Just don’t park near the big hole in the earth.

Looks like my summer and early autumn will be spent assisting a Director in New Orleans. There’s a casino on the water there that is literally falling apart. So I get to do all kinds of plumbing, hvac, and whatever else all over again. This time on a barge.

Looks like around October I’ll get to babysit a GC, that’s going to babysit an Electric Company, that will replace (2) 3,000 KVa transformers at a horse racing track in Houston.

Later on this year, I’ll most likely assist on the new project in Joliet…and deal with the restaurant & bar my old firm is doing at that casino. Turns out it’s going to be a place that is owned by Giada De Laurentiis.

So I’m a Cleaner.

My entire Architectural career revolved around remodels, renovations, alterations, facade improvements, tenant upgrades, and seldom any new ground up buildings. So more difficult and complex projects, instead of everything bright and shiny & new.

Now my Construction Management career is turning out to be building repairs, overseeing GC’s, babysitting escalator companies, remodeling, and occasionally overseeing one of my former architectural firms’ projects.

Find problems. Provide solutions. Clean up the mess that is left in the wake.

A reworked headcanon now that we have new games:

Using a Pokémon to fly between locations requires a licence in most regions, however the criteria needed in order to obtain one varies from region to region.

In most regions, a Flying Licence is obtainable to anyone holding a valid trainer's license, provided they've collected a set number of gym badges. Trainers are also expected to pass a short certification test, which really just confirms they know not to exceed certain altitudes, to avoid flying within the vicinity of an airport, to avoid leaving the region's airspace, and to ensure they're aware they MUST use a domesticated Pokémon.

In Galar and Paldea, a much more thorough (and prohibitively expensive) exam is required to obtain a licence, hence the presence of aerial taxis within these regions.

In Fiore, the rules are the absolute strictest, with Flying permits only being granted to Pokémon Rangers, who also must use a bonded Pokémon. Fiore is also the only region which requires permit holders to contact local air traffic control to avoid collisions.

These restrictions don't apply to the Dragonite Shuttle, since it flies a pre-trained route that's already been cleared by the appropriate authorities, however the Dragonite must wear a tracking device to ensure it doesn't veer off course.

Almia is the only region to allow permit holders to fly on wild Pokémon, however as stated in game this is a privilege only extended to Rangers in the upper echelons of Almia's Pokémon Ranger Union.

Oblivia is a free for all because it's the quickest way to island hop and nobody cares enough to regulate it.

he's got so many physical after effects with scars and skin damages but also mental: he's wild and completely feral. he lose himself, living outdoors. he hasn't had any contact with living, breathing being in a long, long time. even animals avoid him, leaving as soon as they see him. seeing him would scare anyone shitless, especially at first when the scars hasn't yet started to heal and the cuts on his face are gruesome and bloody. his body is one massive wound, it never stops hurting, driving him to madness. after a while, he slowly start to get better. his body starts to heal. his mind is still fissured but he gets more and more time as his old self. not totally back to himself, far from it, but he get more cognisant of what's happening around him and what he's doing. there's a point where he has to go back to a village to trade stuff. he doesn't trust anything not to hurt him and dislike the idea of letting anyone get close to him. needs must though, and after weighting up the pros and the cons, he goes to one nearby. he's not careful the first time around and the few people that saw his face expressed shock and disgust. they could not look at him without horror in their eyes and repugnance etched on their face. he honestly didn't think about what he would look like to others. he's been alone for so long at that point, and he avoid every reflective surface he has genuinely no idea what the torture left behind. but even without knowing, seeing other people reaction he can guess. ashamed, he runs away. but he can't stay hidden away forever, he still needs to trade. so he goes back, to another village. further away. clocked under a heavy, deep hooded, capelet. he's got no skin showing at all. and this time, interactions are easier. his voice is gruff, his vocal cords damaged. he hasn't spoken for a long time and the first few words he needs to utter are rough. he doesn't stay for long. he can't. so he makes the trips more often than he'd like too, just so he can spend as little time in here as he can at once. longer interactions makes him hyper aware and he nearly slip from the precarious balance that's his mental health. words goes around that one weird adventurer comes by, sometimes. taciturn and withdrawn, and in need of lots of personal space. and it attracts curiosity. everyone is eager to know who he is, where he's from and what he looks like. but Dream can't answer neither of those questions without people turning on him.

it isn’t that etoiles lost it’s abt HOW he lost, like they really could have just thrown code after code after him for two hours straight and used up all his gapples and potions and he STILL would have lost and it would have been more satisfying; it would have been a long, arduous and well-fought battle that etoiles would have adored every moment of despite the grim ending. but the way he lost was fighting a code whose health bar didn’t even move and who then proceeded to borderline metagame in order to win the fight quickly, taking away two of qetoiles most prized possessions resulting in a hollow victory. narratively i get etoiles needed to lose at some point but it should not have been like that

Working on a worldbuilding project for someone like me is an absolute nightmare because the "writer" side of me wants to get all the information written out so it's set in stone and there for myself and everyone else to see, but the artist side of me wants to get art done for things before I write about them so there's visual reference, but the neurodivergent part of me wants to do things in chunks and write lists and organise everything before I start writing and drawing in case I forget

DO I realistically need drawings of every character and symbols for every faction and references for every species before I can do anything? No. Is that going to stop me from crunching down on 300+ chibi heads and rarely anything else until they're done? No
