So basically, they just got together. They aren't really public yet, but some people know. And the people who know are happy for them (they swear they are!) but, honestly, they think they should break up because it's a bad look for the Hokage to date a former terrorist.

Then, someone, probably the elders, out their relationship and the public and media are just invading their everyday life and asking invasive questions.

They're on the verge of breaking up. Mostly out of guilt. Neither wants the other to put up with all this BS.

But before either of them can have that talk with the other, Oro asks Sasuke, "You're really gonna let them win? Thought I taught you better than that."

With that, Sasuke is like "fuck this" and doubles down on dating Kakashi. He gets asked dumb questions and just replies with," I don't see why that's important. There's x going on and I don't see anyone talking about it."

He either channels his inner Kimi Räikkönen or just gives nonsense answers.

The media gets bored of that quickly and they move on to the next "scandal."

Hi! Uhm the fact that they're brothers is what makes itasasu ITASASU and not another pairing, the only fics I remember is Sucker Love (link) where if I'm not mistaken they're not brothers...I'm sure there are gen fics about them but I haven't read them, sorry.

Tbh I haven't followed naruto fics in years cause I'm a bad person, according to fandom purity standards...why? because I can still separate fiction from reality, I can still read unhealthy dynamics, problematic things and all the things that people "do not condone" without feeling ashamed or afraid to suddenly become a monster (it's because fiction is still not reality), so with this problematic mentality, totally unfit for fandoms these days, I'm afraid I'll mostly find puritan healthy fics (that do not even fit with the naruto universe lol) so I stay the hell away from everything, just in case :)

Okay. So people be pissing me off. So I'll just say what I wanna say here. I've seen so many people flipping out about certain ships- not because they're bad but by morality. Which is logical and absolutely a good thing.

However, one type of annoyingness that has been especially grating is that which i hear of KakaNaru, KakaSaku and KakaSasu. Look, as long as the characters ARENT UNDERAGE it shouldn't fucking matter.

And it really annoys me to see so many people calling those shippers horrible because they ship a large age gap pair.

If they're shipping the 12-13 year old versions with Kakashi -or older persons, then yes ew. Bad. Don't fucking do that.

But if they're above the age of consent then why the hell would it matter?? The age of consent is meant to state when a person is reasonably responsible enough to decide who they want to have relationships with. Other people have no say.

2) Favorite pairings: I'm a multi-shipper, so this one is more difficult. Like right now, I'm focused on KakaSasu from the week that just passed! I usually write stories surrounding Kakashi x Obito and Shisui x Itachi. But there are so many possibilities, and I'm constantly uncovering new pairings I will ship to death!

2024 wrap up time!

In January, I posted 4 times to Ao3. Two of them were kakasasu fics. Both are inspired by and "take place during" specific episodes in the original Naruto (you know, pre-Shippuden). Kakasasu is a rare pair and they deserve more love! I hope I can give them even more next year.

One is rated Teen+ and the other is Explicit but mind you they both are about a ship concerning one adult and one kid so they're both "dead dove". Having said that...

I’ll forever feel sorry that the Kakashi/Sasuke relationship wasn’t given enough space in part 2. Like, in the anime it’s longer at least but in the manga their fight is so short and the fact that Sasuke lost his sight during it, and that Kakashi is a sharingan user, should have been given some more panels, like, Kakashi having to hurt a blinded Sas but being sorry even if he’s following Konoha’s orders and all the sh*t he believes in? But nope, and soon N*ruto comes and the spotlight is shifted on him. Ugh disappointing.

favorite thing about them

You know what’s hard about Sasuke? It’s difficult to say what my favourite thing about him is because ... this kid is just draped in tragedy and misery. My overwhelming feeling for him is always sympathy and a need to look after and protect him because he has witnessed such severe trauma. Even saying his resilience or determination are my favourite things become a bit questionable because they led him to make some very peculiar decisions. Look, I’m not saying the boy did anything wrong, but I’m also not saying that he could have made better decisions. The time when you can finally sit back and smile at him is after the Fourth War when he doesn’t go back to live in Konoha and travels, giving himself time to understand the world and himself, and even when he had whatever ties and responsibilities in the village, he didn’t force himself to stay there. He put himself first and that’s a proud moment. 

Oh. And his Dino toy. Obviously. 

least favorite thing about them

Again, difficult because there isn’t anything I don’t like about him directly. I don’t like what the fandom does to him sometimes, from my own experiences, using him as someone to project onto isn’t okay. Shipping him with Sakura is also not okay and pairing him off in an illogical relationship for the sake of adhering to the heteronormative standard that everyone must be married and happy and all women must be mothers and all men fathers despite them being mentally and emotionally incapable. I don’t know why authors do it? Is it really appealing to see a traumatised and abused boy be suffering for his whole teenage years only to end up ‘happy’ in a marriage a few years after? JK did it to Draco and Kishi to Sasuke. It’s just stupid.

I mean, was this guy bros with anyone? I’ll give credit to Juugo for swearing to protect Sasuke, that was nice. But really, my Sasuke ships are all intimate relationship ships, that boy was friends with no one. I’ll give mentions in here to SasuSui & KakaSasu though simply because they aren’t OTPs but make my lil shipper heart happy.

It has to be SasuNaru and I don’t feel like there is much explanation needed. Sasuke may not have loved Naruto, but he felt something for him that became a motivation for him. He said often that Naruto was his only friend, his most important bond, the whole series was basically dedicated to them being soulmates, they got gay married by the Sage Of Sixth Paths and so on and so forth. 

On equal or if not higher ground than SasuNaru is ItaSasu, and AND this isn’t an incest thing, I’m NOT shipping them sexually. But, Itachi loved Sasuke more than anything, he refused to kill Sasuke because he loved him so much and in turn destined himself to be a criminal, hated by .... pretty much the entire world, all for Sasuke’s sake. Would it have been kinder for Itachi to just kill him instead of plaguing them both with what would be Sasuke’s life filled with trauma and severe psychological issues just because he didn’t want to kill him? Selfish was he? Yeah probably. But everything that Itachi did he did with Sasuke in mind.

Ugh. SasuSaku. It’s detrimental to both of their characters and glorifies abusive relationships. Sasuke tried to kill Sakura countless times throughout the series and yet somehow still ends up with her?

How can you move from, "Was she having fun in her little make-believe fantasy of true love? As for me, I have absolutely no reason to love her and likewise, I can see no reason why she would love me." to marriage? It’s an injustice to both of them.

If we learn anything from Naruto it’s that people bond and become closer through experiencing the same pain and Sasuke deserved someone who could empathise and understand even a tiny amount of what he had endured from Itachi’s hands, and Sakura deserved someone who didn’t try to murder her.

Sasuke’s body was covered in scars from training with lightning because elemental control is hard and lightning is powerful, countless times he messed up and faltered and caused his body to endure intense wounds and burns from being electrified over and over again. The majority of them were on his left arm and when Orochimaru saw them for the first time he insisted that Sasuke visit Kabuto regularly for him to help heal him.

He isn’t simply an angsty little fuck boy who is oh so super sexy and dreamy and here for us to romanticise and lust over. He’s an extremely complex character who deserves so much more than horny fangirls.

Prima di tutto: Sasuhina/Naruhina–non sopporto Hinata. O l’ending e le coppie canon. Quindi nooooo xDNarusaku- carina, mi piace. Se proprio doveva finire con dei pairings avrei voluto diventasse canon, stessa cosa vale per Sasukarin. 

Ora tieni la mente aperta perchè tutto sarà Sasuke-centric, non a caso ho un blog così (le mie analisi di naruto sono tipo tesi di laurea lol) inoltre amo le cose dark, l’angst e anzi ho scritto e scrivo fanfiction di quelle che o le ami o le odi, senza mezze misure:

Itasasu (siii lo so, sono fratelli ma è fictional! e per tutto il resto delle possibili obiezioni a me piace proprio che il loro rapporto sia twisted e complicato, e nonostante tutto Sasuke adori Itachi)

Kakasasu -questa è stata la mia prima ship e non l’ho mai abbandonata e anzi anche se Kakashi sul finale mi ha fatto incazzare che ti devo dire, li shippo sempre e comunque

Narusasu -in quest’ordine, rigorosamente, perchè (ecco che mi scatta la ship war lol) sono yin e yang e il modo in cui kishimoto ha scritto il loro rapporto è proprio NS e non il contrario. 

Juusasu (JuugoxSasuke)- Adoro il Team Taka e mi piace troppo questa ship e la loro dinamica, che ha sia potenziale carino sia dark. Anche Suisasu (SuigetsuXSasuke) mi piace più o meno per gli stessi motivi.

E adesso andiamo al crack estremo e a quello che chiamo “canon dietro lo schermo” perchè è successo ma non ce lo dicono perchè è uno show per ragazzini:
