DPx DC Prompt-Alternate Dimension Shenanigans

So instead of the usual Casper High field trip trope in the Danny Phantom fandom, imagine this time it’s Damian Wayne’s class that ends up stuck in the Infinite Realms.

Here’s how it plays out:

Damian’s class is on the way back from an overnight field trip to Washington, D.C. Everything's fine—until they stop at a rest area. The bus driver goes off to handle his business, comes back, and they get back on the road.

Then… a portal opens out of nowhere.

They don’t even have time to react. The bus gets pulled in. When they try to turn around, the portal’s already gone.

Enter: Danny Phantom.

He’s just gotten back from visiting either Pandora (weekly chat) or Frostbite (med checkup) when he stumbles on a confused group of teens, their teacher, and a parked bus in the middle of the Infinite Realms.

He blinks.

Mr. Carter (the teacher): “Our driver stopped at a rest stop—standard procedure. Then this portal opened up out of nowhere. We couldn’t stop in time. It just… sucked us in. When we tried to turn around, it was gone.”

Danny: “Ah. Natural portal. Those usually happen to planes, not buses… though, now that I think about it, ground traffic’s not unheard of. Shouldn’t have said that out loud.”

Damian (irritated): “Where exactly are we?”

Danny: “You’re in the Infinite Realm.”

Camila (raising an eyebrow): “So… another dimension?”

Zane (grinning): “Wait, does this count for my bingo card? ‘Accidentally ending up in another dimension’ was my free square.”

Priya: “Are we in space? Or some alien planet?”

Danny: “Nope. Think bigger.”

He gestures to the eerie green sky swirling above them.

Danny: “The Infinite Realm is like... glue. The glue that holds everything together. Every timeline, every dimension, every kind of power—magic, science, tech—they all touch the Infinite Realm. This place connects them all.”

Emily (deadpan): “Freaky. Multiversal glue vibes.”

Suddenly, one of the students blurts out:

Mason: “How did you die?”

The whole class turns to stare.

Mason (shrugging): “Come on—tell me you’re not curious too.”

Danny (calmly): “Okay, so, it’s super rude to ask a ghost how they died unless you’re family or really close. It’s kinda taboo.”

Leo: “Fine, then… who’s your favorite Justice League member?”

Danny (without missing a beat): “Martian Manhunter.”

Zane: “Why?”

Danny: “Because I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up… and I love space.”

Damian (pinching the bridge of his nose): “Does anyone have a question that’ll help us get home?”

Nina (class rep): “Yeah—how are you getting us back?”

Danny: “There’s a powerful artifact that can return you to your dimension. I just need to make sure none of you wander off or tick off any local ghosts. Not all of them are thrilled to see humans here.”

Camila: “So you can take us back to Gotham?”

Danny: “Sure. Where exactly is that in the U.S.?”

Class (in unison): “…Are you serious?”

Danny: “I know it’s where Batman and his birds live. I just don’t know where it is on a map. Also, I failed geography. And I’m dead.”

Emily: “New Jersey. Gotham’s in New Jersey.”

Danny: “Cool. Everyone back on the bus. First stop: Pandora.”

Priya: “Wait—Pandora? As in Pandora’s Box?”

Danny: “Yep. She’s real. She’s super protective of it. Someone stole it once—I helped her get it back. She’s chill now. I’m going to ask her if you can hang out in her realm while I talk to two people: Frostbite and Clockwork. I need to make sure I don’t accidentally drop you off in the wrong Gotham.”

Zane: “There’s a wrong Gotham?!”

Danny: “This place touches every timeline. You don’t think there’s a version of Gotham where Batman is a vampire or something? Multiverse roulette isn’t fun.”

Class (collectively): “Yeah. No more questions.”

Camila (genuinely): “Wait—we don’t even know your name. We feel kinda rude calling you Ghost Boy.”

Danny (blinks): “Oh. Right. Just call me Phantom.”

Damian (dryly): “Just Phantom? Not your real name?”

Danny: “Not telling you that. That’s basically the same as asking how I died. Still rude.”

Mason: “If I die, can I change my name?”

Danny: “Yeah. You can go by whatever name you want. You’re dead. There are no rules.”

Leo: “What if someone’s, like, gay or bi or trans? Does that matter?”

Danny: “Dude, we’re dead. We’ve got Pride flags engraved into dimension gates. Trans? Cool. Bi? Great. Ace? Valid. Nobody cares. You’re free to be whoever you are.”

Priya: “Okay but… what if someone was transitioning when they died?”

Danny: “Then the gender they identified as is the one they get. Period. No exceptions.”

Zane: “...So it’s like actual equality?”

Danny: “Yeah. Ghost society’s not perfect, but nobody here’s getting judged for who they are. You’ll probably see two ghost guys kissing before lunchtime.”

Mason: “Wait. Have you met Death?”

Danny: “Twice.”

Class: “…What?”

Danny: “Yeah. They go by Jeff.”

Class (blinking): “Jeff?”

Danny: “Says it sounds like Death. Duh.”

Damian (deadpan, to himself): “I need a week off school. Maybe two.”

Damian (out loud): “What about things like Time? Dreams? Are they ghosts, too?”

Danny (nodding): “They’re called never-born ghosts. They weren’t alive and then dead—they exist because of human concepts. Like Time? His name’s Clockwork. Depending on your religion, you’ve probably heard of him under a different name. Same ghost. Different culture.”

I have to say that this can be applied in other areas as going to the gym or as I said going to sleep every night at 9/10pm

god okay I feel like I'm opening Pandora's Box with this shit but I have lots to say about it so... yeah fuck it, let's do this, I'm brave-

So I can absolutely agree with OP's sentiment that BlackLightJack's content has become uh... more aggressive and mean-spirited , and don't get me wrong, that was always sort of his vibe, but now it feels like he's straight up just weaponizing his fanbase and like... y'all know how curt I get about LO here, I can be a real asshole about it, even I think what BLJ is doing feels really shitty, immature, and frankly just uninformed? Because most of his videos are just him pout-screaming profanities into the microphone, like I know this is gonna sound nitpicky and petty but I can literally hear it in his voice that he's enunciating his words the same way an 8 year old would so that spit would land on the person they're yelling at ("STOOOOOOOOO-PPP-UHHHHH") and lately his content just feels like what it used to feel like being in CoD lobbies back in the day. Him having the name 'webtoon killer' just gives me such a sour taste in my mouth. Like... this feels like some kind of Batman villain in the making LMAO

But maybe no one wants to hear that opinion from someone like me who's literally called themselves the "far superior off brand" as a gag LMAO and that's fine honestly if you think I'm full of shit, this is also just my opinion!

But like... and I know I'm being an asshole going 'b-but-!' but... BLJ is also building an entire ass monetized platform off his vibe and using that platform to specifically go after Canvas series and creators. And let me tell you, while many would argue "well it's just the webtoons that are grossly negligent / breaking Webtoons' ToS / etc.", his fanbase is also constantly just sending him new comics to read and trash on and I feel like it's only a matter of time before he goes after a completely innocent creator whose only crime was being not great at webcomics which... shouldn't be viewed as a default crime punishable by pitchforks. That sorta already happened with the Fulcagay situation, I don't know Fulcagay and he almost definitely wouldn't know me, but he's a fellow Canvas creator who I've run into and shared a space with, and BLJ's original comments about him just felt incredibly off-base and volatile without giving even a shred of benefit of the doubt. I get the sense BLJ doesn't know about Hanlon's razor ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity") because EVERY video he does about every comic and creator he's addressing assumes maliciousness always.

This is the same shit we got with Youtube creators like Leafy who became infamous for just taking the piss out of everyone until they took it too far. Like, take it from me, it can be VERY easy to get so entrenched in being an asshole and taking the piss out of everything that completely innocent people get hit with splash damage, and if you're not willing to take responsibility for that, then you're gonna look like a bigger dick than the people you were aiming for. This pee analogy working for y'all? 😆

As for what Matty Bites has to do with that, I don't really get it? Like maybe I'm just misinformed here, maybe I haven't watched enough of her stuff, but she's never given me anywhere near the amount of red flags I get off listening to even one episode of BLJ. Matty feels like someone who actually reads and analyzes and researches the stuff she's criticizing in a way that's relatively harmless with her own flair sprinkled in (and her humor is hilarious btw, her opening skits are great LOL); BLJ meanwhile feels like he's constantly one opinion away from starting a #victimofcancelculture campaign because he's just trying to be as edgy and angry as possible LMAO (and ironically they're both often criticizing the same thing, but it goes to show how delivery makes a hell of a difference when it comes to dishing out criticism)

All that said, if there is something with Matty Bites that I'm missing here, I'm fully open to being informed because I haven't watched many of her videos and there could just as well be something that I've missed. But I don't think she's anywhere near as hostile as BLJ tends to be, I don't think Matty Bites' comedic video editing and sassy commentary has ever resulted in creators actually being attacked and bullied like BLJ's have.

Overall I think anyone who builds a platform or audience off criticizing content (and this includes me!) needs to practice responsibility and accountability in what they put out and what they choose to focus on and criticize. It can be really easy to accidentally use "criticism" as a get-out-of-jail-free card to just be a bully. It can be really easy to wind up leaving your criticism so unrefined and surface level without any deeper reflection that you never actually open your mind to anything and you just end up echoing out hate speech without even intending to. And it can be really, really easy to ruin your own palate from willingly consuming nothing but shit all day.

This question is something I apparently didn’t know I needed. The second I read this, my neurons fired so hard, it’s like I’ve been waiting for this day. I put it all under the cut~

I grew up with country music Pandora stations as background music all the time at home, and I’ve listened to some for the general vibe when I’ve drawn Grillby/Sansby stuff. But I have yet to actually apply it directly like this. This may be longer/more extensive than you anticipated hehe, lemme crack open my arsenal. Bartender by Lady A jumps out at me for obvious reasons hehe. This feels like something one of the regular npcs would play on the jukebox. Mayhaps Drunk Bun.

Very rare occurrence to get Grillbz to dance along. And even when you do, he’ll deny he did it. Yeonjun's Career Energy Reading

Okay, now starting my individual career readings for my main groups. Now time to finally get to a Yeonjun individual reading. I have been wanting to do his reading in a while. So, for his overall career energy, we got Neptune, so on one end he has a big imagination when it comes to his career, but overall not the best energy to have for your career, because this gives me illusions, seeing things that are not there, not really seeing the reality of the situation. Now, this could be he is living his dream. There seems to be a facade an illusion he portrays, now is this the image he shows? Or does he see things as an illusion. This gives me there isn't a lot of tangible things happening here. He has dreams and aspirations, but nothing really concrete for him. With this trickster energy, it is giving me manipulation energy. I hear manipulating the masses. Ugh I hate hearing this and getting this vibe from him. I can also see this as he approaches things a little differently than others. I just heard, by any means, it is like whatever gets him to his destination, he will try it.

With the Beggar card, it just seems he begs for opportunities. Ugh, bro Yeonjun, why are you giving me this energy man, I don't like this, but I don't care if you are my fave, calling it out as I see. Now, I am being pulled towards the 6 of Cups and wondering if that was learned from childhood and the past to behave towards this way. Shit did not want this to get dark. I can't help what I get, but you heard of victims being villains, not saying he is a villain, he probably just looks past it, because shit has been done to him. This is so hard for me to decipher this tarot spread I have, so going to do the best I can. Now, with this Stag spirit, it does mention taking the lead, like he might be a bit timid standing up for himself, but this card urges him to do it. He doesn't give me that fight for a cause energy, like maybe Beomgyu or Taehyun does. He is a more bow down and take it vibe. But these cards indicate he can rise to the occasion. This could also indicate a good opportunity will happen for him in the future. It is like there may have been struggles in the past, but it looks things will improve for him and he will get what he wanted.

I also see this as him maybe breaking through the illusion and seeing things for what it is or seeing things from a higher perspective. This is kind of promising energy. I mean they could have this boy under some illusion, who knows. I did get MK Ultra, so, that could have been used on him, probably most idols, but this is the first time that came up in a reading. I mean I looked up the methods used verbal/sexual abuse, isolation, not sure this is a method, but got sleep deprivation as well, hypnosis, this is all to control them, honestly all seem plausible, it is not that crazy to believe this to me. I do get a strong feeling verbal, sexual and of course sleep deprivation is used, but the others can be used as well. That could explain the Neptune energy there. And why he is the way he is. It is like all an illusion to him. What they feed him and what he may tell himself. Not sure he can really face the truth or want to.

Wait a second, actually parallel worlds?

I've made meta in the 2 years past about parallel worlds during the Saitama and Garou fight and you can read it below, but I cannot be arsed to synopsis in lenght because I actually need to get this meta out here very, very fast and I'm on a schedule. In short, Genos' huge speech was yet another hint of things to come that I discuss below.

But the thing that hit me today and the thing I've just plain ignored for two months cuz I've been doing other stuff is what empty void has said in second to last chapter 201, You pass.

He just casually confirmed parallel worlds. And nobody is talking about this. Guess multiverse is too mainstream lol.

Potentially major future spoilers below, beware

Thing to note here, is that he's using God's powers to apparently enter outside of causality where he casually manipulates parallel universes to perform his Dimensional Slash, which is bonkers on it's own BUT

Here is what Blast said during a yet another retconned chapter. I joked before that retconned chapters are just parallel universes at this point but it's starting to look like it's not a joke anymore.

Empty void has a key to entering this higher dimension where God resides. This is retconned. Funny, because it's a key information. You wouldn't want this on enemy's hand.

Essentially what he means is that the higher dimension where God resides is outside the causality of the universe, where God can manipulate the parallel worlds because that too is explicitly stated to be a power from him. This is what Empty void essentially does but way smaller because of his capacity. Ergo, that means...OPM God has probably, hypothetically, more than likely, manipulated the timeline to his benefit. Because he's a multiversal being. The only thing stopping him is being locked away, but Blast has pointed out interaction with God's dimension has increased rapidly. (173, secret intel) He is definitely doing something because it's a two-way street. Once the pandora's box of influencing timelines and parallel worlds is opened, it cannot be closed anymore.

That's why he's looking for sacrifices to become his pawns, beings that are/can become strong enough to manipulate the laws of causality (thanks Genos for that tidbit). To access the majority of his powers to help him exterminate humanity.

That's why the retcons may actually be parallel worlds canon, but on a meta level they got retconned by OPM God and so won't make it to physical publishing. Which is very meta and I love it but oh my god...

Blast maybe knows a LOT more than he lets on but decides to not basically cause mass panic by unveiling more information. Or he is making guestimates because he doesn't know the true extent of his power and the truth is far too terrifying to comprehend.

Empty void's capability to casually manipulate parallel worlds is already a horrifying concept but he's so lacking in capability to what a being of untold, limitless power could actually do with such a thing it's not even funny. We need to think bigger. Maybe that's why it has chosen the moniker God for itself... indeed sounds like a godly power when he can just Thanos snap.

Almost like...divine power?

It's crazy to think that the only reason the timelines in 164 diverged is because Garou no longer passed the vibe check from Saitama that decided whether he desperately needed help or a decisive blow to end the fight.

It seems likely that Saitama using his causality-defying powers is summoning God to their dimension too, simply by using them. That's why more and more stronger monsters keep appearing, despite Saitama disposing plenty monsters. I wouldn't wanna be in his shoes if this is found out to be true, that in his quest for power, he may have inadverently doomed them all. Nor I'd want to hear about the public outcry.

Closing note, more old metas from myself pondering about if OPM god has a lot more power and influence that we realize, plus secondary meta about Saitama casually bending reality. There's also metas about God's motifs being seen extremely early in the series besides the obvious moon (ceiling lamp, Garou speech bubble outline) which could indicate very subtle subliminal messages used to influence Saitama, but for the life of me I cannot find that one atm.

Earth seemed to jump to a lot of conclusions about New Moon and she seemed really upset but also I don't think what New Moon said to push her away was actually that mean. Maybe it's just me?

I also didn't like how Sun went to others for help because he's so lost on what to do with New Moon and everyone was just "let's kill him"

From what I can tell, actually a lot of people agree with you!!! (me included). this leads to kind of a divide in-fandom between people who are on the families side, and those who are on New Moon's/Nexus'. and from what I've seen, even the people who aren't on either side just kind of find Nexus pathetic and emo. which is 100% fair and understandable, considering his "villain arc" was built off of shakey ground lol. AND while I am 100% a N.M/Nexus apologist, that wont stop me from acknowledging that he fucked up bad in some places sdkfjhsdjfk really, everyone messed up a lot to get into the situation they are now story-wise. it's not just one sides fault, and it's draining seeing people trying to make the dilemma one of black and white morals when it is 20x more complex than that. OKAY MINI RANT OVER, ONTO WHAT YOU REFERENCED SKFJDHSDF so. did Earth have every right to be hurt by what New Moon said? oh, 100% yeah, her brother just insulted and demeaned her to her face, ofc it would hurt.

But what really confuses me is how personally she took his insults??? Right before, genuinely, right before that confrontation; Sun warned her that Moon might say something he didn't mean. he warned her, because he knows from experience.

and yet Earth took it to heart??? w. why??? she knows a lot about mental health stuff, or she's supposed to, right??? surely she'd understand that it's a very common trauma/fear response for people to become aggressive and lash out, even against those who they love and care for??? right???

And I also agree that she was jumping to conclusions, or at least misinterpreting N.M's goals/intentions/reasonings. when N.M called her "not a real therapist", she took the greatest offense to that. but. the thing is. he wasn't??? wrong???? did he say it in a rude as hell and aggressive way??? yup, no denying that! but he's not wrong.

Earth isn't a licensed therapist. she is an animatronic with downloaded protocols and processes given to her by the Creator in attempts to try and be a therapist. but she literally admits it to herself multiple times in the show that she's not a real therapist, she just does her best. so it always confused me why she took N.M's statement to heart, because genuinely, for him, her best (or more specifically, her kind and patient style of therapy) wasn't enough. which is v tragic, much ow, big pain.

At the time of being confronted, N.M was exhausted, desperate, spiraling, hallucinating, not wanting to ask for help, lying to both himself and the family, in mourning- basically holding on by a thread. so when cornered, (literally, he physically was cornered in P&S) he lashed out and said mean things to be able to push those he cared about away and "get to safety". it was wrong of him to do, yes, but considering everything we knew about how Moon's (both New and Old) react to stressful situations from prior tragedies, it was to be expected.

BUT THEN??? EVERYONE JUST KIND OF GAVE UP ON HIM AFTER THAT????? he made one mistake. one. one mistake. and suddenly everyone was all like "alright, we've got to kill him." I??? DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT'S A LITTLE BIT FUCKED UP??? HELLO?????

I'm not denying that N.M was becoming unstable. I'm not denying that he was becoming aggressive. he was, and that's why he needed help. he needed someone to stick by him even as he was pushing them away, to love him even at his lowest, and no one did. Imo, at least Sun has the excuse of being traumatized by Old Moon's past actions, which could explain why he was so desperate for everyone else's input, but Earth and Lunar??? Embarrassingly, I didn't think people would actually look at the playlist. So it's really a jumble of songs that I can mindlessly listen to while I write and battle caffeine addiction. I'm considering re-vamping it to be more vibes-based, but that'll take a bit of work. So as of right now, a lot of the songs on the RC playlist are there purely for their sound rather than the lyrics. It's hard to get in the mood of this fic while listening to my usual tunes ( some would debate me on that, but try writing while Van Halen is blasting in your ears vs. while you're on the road ). But lyrics-wise: 'Kiss me hard before you go' was on my mind from the very moment I started writing this fic.

The RC playlist is not refined at all. It really is just a dump ( like Dazai's shipping container conditions, really ), however the TSP SSKK playlist DB is definitely more in-line with what I want to deliver story/reading-experience wise. Obviously, some songs are there just because they're from the right decade, but many aren't.

I'm opening Pandora's box I want to know everything you want to share about Hans? I'm morbidly intrigued.

This has been sitting in my asks for about... A quarter of a year? Yeah, something like that. Let's just say he does not like being talked about (and I get a bad case of freeze-the-fuck-up whenever I try to say a word about him) so let's see how this goes:

Okay so here's the rundown on this guy

He/him (though if you taught him the concept of gender he might spontaneously combust from 'oh my god I don't think I'm cis')

Aroace. He does not know what that word means however.

Forest Spirit, born to the clan leader of the Ko, raised to be their clan leader (despite the fact that it's incredibly rare for men to be rulers in spirit culture)

Best friend: Dare I say one of his guards? He and Fala have something similar to a bestie vibe (after approximately 500 years of him picking on her)

Partner: Hash (in the sense that she is the person to hold him when he has nightmares and he is the one to rescue her when the consequences of her actions get too bad)

Honestly? A massive bitch. Such. A. Massive. Bitch.

So what's his history?

He grew up a fairly normal kid (by spirit standards), though rather friendless. That all changed when he found a ghost girl who mysteriously fell through the roof of a local storeroom. (There's a story about it. Go read it here)

Unfortunately for him, spirits hate ghosts. And so he killed and ate his parents to save her. Like a normal person. Because he is So Normal.

Anyways that automatically made him boss of the Ko clan, which he rather successfully led until the Godhuntress killed everyone (including his ghost friend). Now, said ghost friend turned out to be the Goddess of Dreams, having had lied to him for more or less his entire adult life. Unfortunately, he happens to be stubbornly loyal (see: Hash causing him no end of trouble) and refused to abandon her. That led to him accidentally witnessing the Godhuntress' secret to being so powerful, a secret he was determined to use against her.

So after all his people died, he ran off to the mountains as part one of his epic journey for revenge. There, he killed the current Spirit Empress, ate her (see a pattern?) and made himself Spirit Emperor.

Eventually, the Spirit Empress kills herself, leaving him to seethe quietly in a corner. That's when he meets Hash, who sneaks into his palace and attempts to rob him blind. Fortunately for both of them, Hans-el happens to find it absolutely hilarious and tells him he's free to stick around. The two of them hit it off really well, and they basically fall into a QPR (though neither of them call it that). People generally refer to them as each other's boy/girlfriend, something he absolutely hates.

Fun facts:

His name is very much a mimicry of a human one, to the point that its spelling is literally just a phonetic translation

Favourite foods are raw meat and chocolate chip cookies (but never together) Doesn't drink at all.

Has run away from his job (a bad habit Hash taught him) and done various things, including adopting a random human child and raising her, owning a mysterious cornershop, and starting a civil wad

Considered extremely liberal by his courtiers due to his pro-ghost stance

An excellent singer (due to forester culture, he had his vocal cords altered as a child)

Threatened to show up naked to his coronation because he didn't like the style of his clothing

Attempted to assassinate the Fae Queen after she called him short (the captain of his guard found him and wrestled him away)

Swears exclusively in his own name because it's funny to him

What's he like? Like actually, really like?

Let's pretend for a minute that you're a random ass servant in his palace. You'll know exactly 3 things about him: 1. He will have you executed and eaten for lunch if you upset him, 2. Ignore the weird ass shapeshifter that hangs around, that's his favourite, 3. He has a very strange and specific sense of humour.

Now, on any given day, he is gonna wake up approximately an hour after dawn, pull up in a dress and crown, attend to the morning's complaints, eat some poor soul alive for brunch, spend half an hour staring at his incredibly extensive collection of antiques, bother Fala and/or another guard, deal with more petitions/complaints, have talks with some official or another, invite them to dinner and gleefully remind them why people fear him (read: eating some poor soul alive) and then gallivanting off to bed with Hash, whereupon he will suffer nightmares of the worst degree.

He also enjoys playing tricks on the people of the palace at night when he can't sleep. This has included silently moving everyone out of their beds so that the gardeners woke up on the roof and the excavators (because he lives under a mountain) wake up in the guest halls. Now nobody can do jack shit about this because he's their boss, so they just have to pretend nothing happened while he sits there oh-so-regal like he totally didn't just fuck with them.

He doesn't come across as a prankster, that's the thing. Etiquette and a deep sense of superiority have made it so that he behaves like he's just an asshole. Underneath it all, however, lies a love for ruining other people's days, and a love for when people try to ruin his day. While he can't just let his assassins go (he tried, the captain of his guard told him it was a bad look), he does enjoy giving would-be thieves a boon, just because he can. Hash asked for a date with him, which flattered him to no end.

Appearance?

I don't have many picrews of him (see: freezing up whenever I try to write about him), but I do know what he looks like inside and out.

Because of a slight error in his vocal cord surgery, his throat has a shallow scar that he hides by wearing high-necked tops. He also loves gilded bell sleeves and wraparound skirts, though he will occasionally pull up in a turtleneck and slacks if Hash insists on dragging him out to human civilisation. He does own a veil, but he uses it exclusively when dealing with elves. Oh, and he has a pair of platforms that he goes nowhere without.

He's actually fairly average for a spirit, coming in at about 130cm/4'3" and 1.5kg/3lbs (yes 1.5 was not a typo. Spirits are 90% air). His hair is black and slightly wavy, reaching his neck like most foresters, his skin vaguely translucent, and his eyes bright yellow. He wears the markings for a forester leader on his cheekbones (though nobody understands what they mean).

And yeah, that's about it! Congrats on being the first person ever to get me to talk about the fucker who doesn't ever leave my brain? (I wish I was kidding. I need to evict him. Asap.)

Oooh okay, you have to take what I say with a grain of salt because his character comes with the Pandora’s box of racism and I’m trying not to die by mob wrath

Okay now that that’s aside, I see him having a strong sense of justice coupled with an overwhelming temper, he’s got a habit of oscillating back and forth between direct and cold when he’s working and extraordinarily temperamental when he thinks he’s close to a truth or been pushed the wrong way

one of my dear friends suggested that he carries a dire paranoia from the death of his mother and his desire to identify criminals is because first he was looking to avenge his mother’s death and then his sister’s, AKA I don’t think he’s shooting in a racial direction, at least not intentionally, but rather patterning what he thinks a criminal looks like after who he thinks he saw kill his mother so not only can he eliminate them but also remove any such thing occurring in the future by targeting those who look similar. He is difficult to work with in the sense that if I cook him even slightly wrong people will light me on fire for my sins but such is the challenge of tackling the mindset of a guy from the 1800s

I digress though we only have two letters to his name so hopefully in the future I’ll have more lore to work with

he plays at having a stable and righteous appearance so he fits in the role of enacting justice but underneath that he’s quite unstable, oscillating wildly between incredibly independent and isolated and severely overprotective and obsessive, he is the definition of hot and cold, he’s trapped very much in a black and white state of thinking

should you try and romance him you’ll be stuck in this weird cycle of him deciding what is best for you, whether that is keeping you ignorant of his business and holding you at a distance or clinging to you so hard it hurts

In the vein of being clingy I think he has a rather bad jealous streak, it especially has him acting up when someone is being too touchy and affectionate with you, it makes him more physically clingy in return because he’s feeling like a territorial asshat, this also plays into sex with you, as he vastly prefers being skin to skin with you as much as he possibly can, the closer pressed to you he is, the better. and yes of course there will be waxplay involved it comes with the man

something that me and my friends have also avidly discussed is the possibility that he would make a wax figure of either you or him and have you fuck it in front of him, or vice versa. this man would fuck a wax figure I’m sorry I hold no doubts about that

if you want to get a deeper layer of freaky (which I’m surprised no one has considered yet) you could engage in a strange threeway with him and his sister, either in a scenario where she is still alive or even when she’s a wax figure adhered to his shoulder (I like to imagine her spirit still haunts him frankly and that her bones are stored inside the figure on his shoulder) either way people need to consider freakin it with both of them because they are both hot and Christina herself is much more stable than Philippe’s moody ass, they balance out the vibes nicely I must say

Classicstober Day 11: Pandora (𐀞𐀙𐀈𐀨)

Hesiod describes Pandora as the first woman, and each god gave her a gift, hence the name 'Pandora' which can be translated as 'all gifted.' Contrary to the modern popular image, Pandora was not a hapless dupe overcome by curiosity. She was made by Zeus as the original femme-fatale to inflict suffering on mankind (and also because Hesiod and ancient Greece in general were sexist as hell).

Pandora might be one of my more fanciful reconstructions; my version of her lived 400,000 years ago, long before any material culture might have been preserved, so I have nothing to go on but vibes. A friend and I decided several months ago that Pandora opening her 'box' was the cause of the "Human Bottleneck" Theory that is often linked to the eruption of Mt Toba. The Anthropology around this theory is speculative at best, but for the purposes of story I have decided to use that here too.

Since each of the gods contributed to her creation, I decided to represent them on her in various ways.

According to Hesiod, Hephaestus was the one who made the beautiful body for Pandora, which is why you can see a decorative version of his symbol painted onto her shoulder.

Aphrodite gave her … a thing that can't be said without offending the algorithm, so her symbol can be seen on Pandora's head and hands.

Hermes gave her a cunning mind, represented by the wings on her forehead, and persuasive speech, represented by his sing on her lips.

Athena clothed her in silvery robes, an embroidered veil, and an intricate crown, but since all of these things would not have been invented in the time of MY Pandora she wears a white fur, decorated with an ivory owl pin, and a crown of white cowrie shells instead.

The Graces gave her jewelry and garlands of flowers, the latter of which is the only Classical Greek element I gave to Pandora, based on depictions of garlands from classical bas relief sculpture.

Last but not least, the final gift to Pandora was from Zeus: a 'storage device' containing suffering and ailments. I have no idea when it was translated into a 'box,' but while I understand why it still does not represent the ancient myth. The classical authors described her storage vessel as a pithos, a jar used for storage. Since my version predates both concepts, I gave her an ostrich egg instead. Various anthropologists speculate that ostrich eggs might have been the first vessel humans used to carry water, and in addition to having the right shape to match a pithos an egg opens up a further metaphor: once cracked an egg can never be sealed again.
