Parallel Processing: Best Data Partitioning Strategies for Maximum Efficiency
In parallel processing, data is divided among multiple processing units. They either share memory or communicate over a network. This depends on the architecture. Each processor works on a designated part of the data, either independently or through coordinated task scheduling. In many cases, the computed results are aggregated at the end to produce the final output. A key factor in efficient…

“My mom told me these stories all the time. I remember this. She said…” “What?” “She said this is what the gods are like to each other. This is the kind of family they are.” “Why didn’t you wanna say that just now?” “She was trying to keep me away from you guys. Maybe you were right. Maybe she should have been preparing me better.” “Maybe she was preparing you. So when you got to us, you’d be different than this.”

"I fell for you and I get clobbered. You then fall for me and I, again, somehow get clobbered. I'm tired of being clobbered, you know? It's, it's just not worth it."
Rob McElhenney naming Mac and Dennis alongside Ross and Rachel as one of the greatest "will they, won't they?" couples in sitcom history forever altered my brain chemistry.

The parallels at the end between Helly and Gemma are messing me up
Helly throwing the speaker at Mark/ Gemma hitting the doctor with the chair
Helly running through the halls to get to the stairs while being chased/ Gemma running through the halls to get to the elevator while being chased
Helena turning back around and going inside each time Helly tried to leave/ Ms. Casey turning around to get back on the elevator after Gemma tried to leave
Mr. Milchick being there to greet Helena and encourage her to turn around/ Mr. Milchick being there to greet Ms. Casey and encourage her to turn around
Helly waking up in the elevator and falling to the ground after her suicide attempt/ Gemma waking in the elevator and sliding to the ground after her escape attempt
Helly being greeted by Mark who has been like her guide/ Gemma being greeted by the nurse who has been like her guide
Idk it’s not one-for-one but I just think it’s interesting. The illusion of choice. None of Gemma’s innies have a choice in what will happen to them, not even a chance at rebellion. Gemma herself has more options than them and can even try to fight back, but ultimately is just as trapped. Helly may not know the outside world, but she has more chances to affect it and try to escape, but that doesn’t mean anything because she’s trapped too. Helena seems to have all the choices but is caged just the same, by her name, by her family, by the company. When Helena tries to exert her choice to not go back to the severed floor, she is just as easily rebuffed as Ms. Casey pausing on her way to the elevator.
Lumon’s control is all encompassing at each level, but the further down it goes, the more literal it becomes. Lumon is a cult with their hands in multiple industries. It’s all well and good to rule by fear and unspoken threats and devotion, but it is not infallible. But take away peoples agency? Subjugate people without any ability to know better or speak on their own behalf?
Helena knows her duty, knows where exactly she stands, knows what is at stake, and, most importantly, knows to fear. So she walks back into that elevator even after the second attempt on her life.
Ms. Casey knows nothing but to do as she’s told. So she walks back into that elevator and asks what she’s like out there despite the arrow pointing down.
Hey, don’t want to go through the agonizing process of birth? Or a root canal? Or flying? Don’t worry, with this simple procedure, none of that pain or discomfort will touch you ever again. And what do we get out of it? Don’t worry about it.
Imagine how much easier it is to get followers for your cult when they willingly walk into your house. The whole world will be Kier’s children.

okay this may be an unpopular opinion but i really don't care bc im just very annoyed lmao
the one huge criticism of malevolent that i have is tied to the reason the show is so impressive and that's the fact that harlan does all the voices.. because he does all the voices, the female characters that aren't elderly or monstrous can only be alluded to
but there are still female characters that hold significant importance that can only be mentioned of in passing , and one of them is, of course, nurse Lilly who was the first person to show john human compassion while arthur was in a coma
john consistently references how Lilly's kindness was so transformative for him that it was the start of how he genuinely changes his perspective and identity once arthur awakens,, BUT WE DONT GET TO SEE HER OR HEAR HER and it's a little annoying for john to constantly mention this time period and this nurse as something So Important, but everything happened off screen in season one
and like ?! idk !! from an audience (read: my) perspective he has been through more important and difficult things with Arthur and other characters... to keep coming back to Lilly, whom we never saw as like THEEEEE moment he learned humanity is starting to really drive me a little crazy
i GET that narratively john needs something other than arthur as exposure to the kindness of humans. as a character he needs more motivation than just one very flawed person that he cannot be separated from. but to hear john say he loves lilly in today's episode was so jarring to me !!
and maybe i'm at a disadvantage here. maybe because i started like a few weeks ago and i haven't been here from the jump, im missing some greater context for her character and what she represents in the overall story that can only come from knowing a story front-to-back for a couple years but fuck
