Red: 5 facts about my best friend

"I haven’t really had many close friends… most of the time I just read or helped mom in her workshop. But I was good friends with a girl called Clarence before she moved to Sinnoh. She was really nice and she had a Happiny, but she never trained or battled with it. I guess some people just prefer keeping pokemon as pets…" She ruffles the back of her hair slightly. “S-she was also kind of pretty… had really nice wavy, brown hair. She liked wearing boyish clothes, but she had a few brothers so I guess most of her clothes were hand-me-downs. I wonder how she’s doing now…"

"Hmm… I’m usually quite quiet, but I don’t really feel a need to talk that much. I… I can be friendly to people… or at least they say that I can be. But that’s mostly with people I’ve gotten to know quite well. And… d-does liking ice cream count as part of a personality…? ówò "

"Let’s see… My father lives in Verdanturf; he’s called Reiss, and my mother lives in Castelia. She’s called Sophia. I don’t have any brothers and sisters, but I have a cousin who lives with my uncle in Viridian. My mother’s a mechanic and homeschooled me for a few years because… w-well, because some people bullied me a bit for my arm… but she’s nice. Raz reminds me of her." She giggles slightly. “Father is a psychic, and he helps pokemon breeders and the nurses in pokecentres sometimes since he can talk to the pokemon. I inherited some of his psychic powers, but they’re not very strong… he says it’s because I didn’t use them too much when I was a baby. But a lot of father’s side of the family were psychics, and he says his powers are weak compared to theirs. Which is weird to me since father’s powers seem really strong already…"
