Love your little Eddie. He sounds like a menace. He is A MENACE TO SOCIETY. love it
Eddie is a menace to society at large and a menace to Hopper at small.
The thing is, Hopper can handle Steve. He is generally polite and stays on the sidewalk. He wouldn’t even be a problem if his neighbors would quit calling the police on a ‘suspicious criminal in the neighborhood.’
But Eddie? He doesn’t even live in Hawkins.
He comes for the summer to stay with Wayne and disappears at the end of August. Then he comes next summer weirder and more unhinged than he was the year before. Hopper can’t acclimate to this kid!
It does not help that he’s Wayne’s boy because Hopper likes Wayne. Hopper’s wife is out of town with their daughter and he’s actually listening to her for once and inviting some guys over to watch a game. He should have expected that - “This is Eddie.”
“We’ve met.”
Eddie gives him this shit-eating grin as Wayne explains that his neighbor was going to watch him but something came up but, “He’s quiet. He’s making a comic book. Maybe he’ll show you it when he’s done.”
Wayne sets Eddie up in the corner with some colored pencils, they crack open a beer, and then there’s a knock at the door that should be Powell but instead -
“Mr. Hopper!” Steve Harrington’s little squeaky voice exclaims in surprise. The kid is sweat-damp and has light scratches on his legs and arms like he was, “-walking in the woods…I’m lost!”
Before Hopper can even say anything, Eddie is marching in front of him like, “Let me handle this. This is boys night. No babies allowed so go away.”
And then he slams the door in Steve’s face which, no. We’re not doing that.
“I thought you were making a comic book so I could read it?” Hopper asked Eddie, trying to shoo him off because he’s about to play fifty questions of ‘who’s supposed to be watching you?’ with Steve and it’s easier without an audience. “Go do that.”
“Do you even know how to read?” Eddie asks. “My daddy says cops can’t read for S-H-I-T. That’s why they’re always tryin’ to get in places they don’t got no warr-ant for.”
Wayne sighs heavily and Steve chimes in before Hopper can even respond like, “My dad says people become cops if they’re too dumb to be lawyers.”
“I believe it.”
Before Hopper can respond to that, Eddie looks in the pocket on his tshirt and frowns, “Uh-oh. Uncle Wayne, I lost my frog!”
And then they spend the next two hours trying to find a goddamn living frog in Hopper’s goddamn house while Eddie Munson explains the lack of thought process he had for putting an alive frog in his pocket.

just saw someone say Rick Riordan making a TV show is just as bad as anything JKR has done. BFFR you're comparing Rick Riordan trying to make his world more inclusive, changing some parts because of money/time constraints, or just making changes cus he thinks they're needed, to JKR being a terrible person!

(Article is from The Verge)
I don't know why this is something we still have to explain: if your industry cannot exist without being destructive, then your industry shouldn't exist.
The entitlement from corpos, to say without shame "But we won't be making tons of money if we aren't allowed to exploit people!" like it's a normal, socially acceptable thing to say, is unbelievable.

will never be able to fully be normal about catholicism given The Past but in terms of Conclave As A Film and what it is trying to say i do genuinely believe at least right now that what this film was trying to convey is that The Church is not Faith.
what has been built up over centuries—the rituals, the ceremony, the bloodshed—is not religion. it is how many have chosen to interact with their faith, but it is not religion.
faith is the work of the nuns as they move tirelessly and thanklessly, doing as they must and as they hope will be of the most benefit, living to serve because faith is about caring for one another. it's vincent voting time and again for the only person throughout the film who he truly deems fit to be pope, while we see everyone else mired in strategy and doubt and secrets and forgetting that the work they are doing is not and has never been about them but about the people they're doing it for. faith is that fucking turtle pond and the turtles that keep getting fucking run over and faith is sisters laughing in a courtyard dressed in white and for a brief moment doing nothing but experiencing joy.
or fucking whatever hashtag pleasure dom benitez

Having lurked your blog since like 2016, I am hard-pressed to think of things that are assumptions and not, like, stuff you’ve explicitly said at some point. But I guess I’d assume you have pillow princess tendencies and like the idea of someone else making the decisions and all you have to do is look pretty and get manhandled. You probably also have frogs you really like. Maybe even a top 20 list. You don’t have the intense version of auditory processing issues that sometimes come with ADHD. Your appetite for both sex and attention from people on the internet go through ups and downs. In a hypothetical fantasy world where nothing was unethical or required effort, you would own so many exotic pets.
i may or may not be having a disagreement in my replies about said tendencies 😔
i don't think i could rank them, there's a lot of good frogs out there with different excellent qualities
auditory processing is a mixed bag, i like to call it language processing issues instead because it seems like it also happens with sign language lmao
these are probably related :|
i want a saltwater tank SO BAD i cannot be trusted with it but i waaaaant it and also a sugar glider and alpacas and goats and fancy pigeons and quail and snakes and

Ginny must have been important to Jesse in the way that she was the cool, considerate aunt. The aunt that had his back when he was a toddler getting scolded by his own parents in front of guests or extended family members, the relative who was nowhere near as nit-picky and stern as the Pinkmans and showed him affection when his own parents didn’t, when he needed comforting and understanding the most. To me this theory explains pretty well why he was so dedicated to taking care of her right up to the day she passed.
