it's not necessarily that Damon's egotistical attitude and coldness is a facade to hide massive insecurities, he does genuinely believe himself to be more "talented" and worthy of being chosen by the UTP than most of his classmates and was really confused at why everyone was mad at him for saying that. it's just that those qualities do exist in tandem with his "weakness" to Diana's kindness and his friendship with Eva and his giftgiving at the start of every free time event. Project: Eden's Garden is about Damon learning that 1) his worldview is wrong, and 2) he does have the ability to be genuinely kind and trusting, and 3) him being very, very mad about both of those things

… But there were two who I missed more than ever, Tobias and Marina… or as they’re known now as Tozu and Mara.

The Eden’s Organization Info Post

You may have heard whisperings of this organization on this blog, and I am here to give a quick, but vague rundown. ( gotta keep it spoiler-free ;) )

The Eden’s Organization, or TEO started as a weapon’s manufacturing organization in WWII, and it eventually expanded to produce more goods. The company was founded on christian ideals by Leopold Bethel I. Eventually, after the end of the war it expanded to become a charity as well. This expansion didn’t fully take the direction it did that we know today until the retirement of Leopold Bethel I, and the takeover of the company and charity by his second-born child, Leopold Bethel II.

Leopold Bethel II expanded the corporation, transformed the charity into offering missions all around the world, and even creating a PAC to support politicians with “traditional values.” TEO is famous and beloved among traditionalist, right-wing, christian/morman circles. However the organization remains infamous among left-wing groups, they mostly receive indifference from centrist democrats, but many have taken a stance against the organization. Although this perspective is not widely popular, as the power of TEO’s PAC has come to influence many elections in recent years, although not quite powerful enough to turn the tides of the most recent 2012 election.

Today, in the year of our lord, 2013, TEO’s CEO remains to be Leopold Bethel II, and the current COO is Ophelia Cinderhall. Typically, the Chief Recruitment Officer, Malachi Palmer handles most of the recruitment drives by themselves, but Leopold has encouraged a return to the “Recruitment Trials” from years past, despite Malachi’s hesitance, Ophelia took up the charge in leading one with Malachi at her side. Although this Recruitment Trial has the twist of occurring alongside a very similar Recruitment Game by enemy organization, The Coalition of Chaos.

Very basic summary of TEO, I can’t quite reveal much more about their very in depth history unfortunately, don’t want to spoil any reveals that will be learned in the game proper. Even if the game proper is still many many years away, can’t help but yap about these awful guys on here. And I hope this can provide some context if you decide to draw any of these guys mentioned on Artfight :)

*ahem* Indeed. The Narrator told me about what you did for me… or rather, what she made you do to me… and I must say, you really need to choose your words wisely the next time she comes to you with an offer like this.

If staying here for the past two… well, four months has taught me anything about her, I’d estimate it’s rather likely she chose to interpret your words this way solely because putting an actual person here would draw attention away from me.

Which, of course, would render the entire point of the game- me- null and void. Which is something she’s going to try and avoid at all costs. But if she’d chosen something more entertaining for herself, the outcome would be very different…

Well, either way! Thank you for reuniting me with my metaphorical son. The fact that putting him of all people here wasn’t your decision to make aside, I believe it’s a perfect balance between keeping myself stimulated, and doing it in a way that doesn’t risk me relapsing back into my… less enjoyable habits.

And lucky me. Imagine getting thrown right back into all that just when I thought I’d finally triumphed over it…
