So I've finished Kaien's story in Bleach Rebirth of Souls and I've come to two conclusions:
A: Kaien wasn't powerful enough to be consigned to hell which is why he was allowed to move on peacefully (unlikely, given he was groomed for captaincy and the story amps up how awesome he was as a person and a warrior.)
B: Kaien was intended to be consigned to Hell due to his power, but he was so damned nice and likable, the laws of nature and Hell itself decided "Yeah, nah bro. This one's on me. You go rest in peace with the wifey."
#bleach#bleach rebirth of souls#rebirth of souls#kaien shiba#rebirth of souls spoiler#in all likelihood#because he was killed as a hollow he likely went through that purification process#which is likely why he returned to the reincarnation cycle like a hollow would#but option B is funnier.

Why do we descend into the underground? On purification.
🥀What are the undergrounds? They are the space of the unconscious, repressed contents, lies – both family and collective. 🥀Why go there at all? For balance, for truth, for the joy of being a free, happy sun during the day. It’s worth addressing, because these contents will surface sooner or later – in dreams, illnesses, or uncontrolled emotions. 🥀How to do it? Courageously, with full trust in the process. In trust in your inner Witches and Wizards. All the knowledge you need is already within you. 🌺1. Purification – the everyday. For purification, we don’t need circles, sage, or even soap. We just need the awareness that energy exists and influences us. The strength of our mind is enough. When you return from work, ground yourself, connect with your body, and say: I purify my aura. Focus on the sensations coming from your body and the space around you. A minute is enough. Alright, maybe five minutes to start. 😁 Stones can be helpful, like clear quartz. This stone literally "sucks" out what we don’t need. It’s a very interesting experience that you can feel. Sage or other herbs with purifying properties might also be helpful. Focus on the smoke, connect with it, watch how reality unfolds, and see what no longer serves you depart with it. 🌺2. Purification as a process. a) Use the New Moon’s energy. Intention: I purify my roots. You don’t need to be knowledgeable about astrology or know the sign the Moon is in. What’s important is to have a peaceful space to work through certain matters and allow yourself to feel all possible emotions. When repressed, heavy contents reach your awareness, you may feel physical discomfort or weakness. It usually affects the throat chakra and sacral chakra (the intestines and genital area). Building circles and working with elements might be helpful. But remember – your comfort is the most important. A warm tea, a blanket, a notebook, and the awareness that you’re meeting your best friend (which is yourself ☺️) are enough. Trust yourself. Be in your truth. b) Use your menstruation. Woman, menstruating person – use your incredible gift, your menstrual blood. Every month we purify our bodies, experiences, and our lineage. Give yourself one day during menstruation to consciously (from the mind’s perspective) decide to purify and let go of what no longer serves you. ☀️If you’re just beginning your journey with energy, give yourself time. This isn’t knowledge taught in schools, and you’ve never done this before. Calm, patience, and tenderness are the key.

What is Imbolc?
Imbolc is a festival that marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, occurring around February 1-2. Known as Brigid’s Day or Candlemas, it celebrates the first stirrings of spring and the return of light. The name Imbolc translates to “in the belly,” symbolizing new life, growth, and the creative potential that is awakening within the earth. It is a time of purification and renewal, where the energy of the earth begins to rise, bringing warmth and vitality to the whole world.
Imbolc is often dedicated to Brigid, the goddess of fire, healing, poetry, and craftsmanship. Brigid is associated with both the hearth and the forge, embodying the transformative powers of fire and light. As the days grow longer and the sun strengthens, we honor her influence in bringing fertility and growth to the land. The first signs of spring, such as the lactation of ewes and the appearance of snowdrops, are seen as blessings from Brigid, signaling that life is returning.
Imbolc is also a festival of light, a time to celebrate the increasing daylight through the lighting of candles, bonfires, and lanterns. As the earth begins to thaw and the seeds of spring stir beneath the soil, Imbolc offers a space for spiritual growth and creative awakening. It is a perfect time to clear away the stagnant energies of winter, refresh the soul, and prepare for the vibrant months to come. The act of lighting candles not only honors the growing light but also serves as a reminder of the inner light within us all, waiting to shine brightly in the coming seasons.

Goddess Brigid
Brigid, one of the most revered deities in the Celtic pantheon, is also known as Lady of the Sacred Flame. She is the goddess of healing, fire, smithcraft, creativity, animals, hearth and poetry, Imbolc is her Sabbat, a time dedicated to honoring her influence on creativity and new beginnings. Her symbols are fire, poetry, lambs and fertility. Brigid is often depicted with a flame emerging from her head or a serpent coiled around her, representing the powerful energy she brings. She is also a goddess of protection, childbirth, women, blacksmithing and life.

The Return of Light and the First Signs of Spring
Imbolc marks the shift from winter to the first signs of spring. Days start to get longer, and you can feel the earth beginning to wake up, even though winter isn’t completely gone. It’s the time when the sun starts to grow stronger, and we begin to see early signs of new life. During Imbolc, many light candles or bonfires in Brigid's honor, celebrating the return of light and the growing strength of the sun as the days grow longer.

Brigid's Cross
A traditional symbol of Imbolc, Brigid’s Cross is woven from reeds or straw and represents both protection and blessings. It’s believed to offer protection from fire and lightning, making it an essential symbol of Brigid’s influence. In Ireland, it was common to hang Brigid’s Cross on the rafters of homes to invoke her protective energy.

Brigid's Flame
According to legend, Brigid lit a flame on the hill of Kildare, pledging to keep it burning in her honor. This flame was said to burn continuously, symbolizing her eternal presence and influence over the cycles of life. The fire became a sacred symbol, tended by the Brigidine Sisters for centuries, representing not just physical warmth, but the power of creativity and healing.

July Channeled Message From Higher Self & Spirit Guides | pick-a-card 🌿🦋
Hello loves, welcome to your channeled message from your Higher Self and Spirit Guides—a gentle pick-a-card reading for the month of July I’m wishing each of you a wonderful month ahead. May these messages bring clarity, comfort, and connection exactly when you need it. 🤍 With care, cherwi
**Note: close your eyes, take a deep breath, & focus on the pile or two that you feel most drawn to. remember don’t over think & just use your intuition.

Pile I. > Pile II. > Pile III.

Pile I.
// pontia protodice & clear quartz //
Song(s): Say Yes To Heaven — Lana del Rey & Rather Be — Clean Bandit (ft. Jess Glynne)
⟡ Cards Pulled: Page of Pentacles, Six of Cups, Ten of Swords, Wheel of Fortune (rx), Nine of Wands (rx), Nine of Pentacles
✦ Themes this Month: cleansing, emotional healing & releasing, inner work, soft discipline, unfinished cycles, glow up
With clear quartz as your crystal messenger this month, you’re being guided to clear the noise and clear any clutter mentally or physically. This stone is about clarity and purification; it helps amplify truth and your own healing energy, and this July it's helping you see the past clearly for what is not what it felt like. It brings light into shadows and allows you to gain wisdom from clarity. Hold onto clear quartz this month when you are ready to let go of something emotionally heavy, use it to journal your thoughts and emotions throughout the month, or use it to cleanse your space.
There is a glow up happening for my pile I’s. This is the month where you show up for yourself intentionally. Whether it’s waking up earlier, eating more balanced, working out more consistently or even clearing your space, you’re making room for the new.
Whatever you are working towards, you are becoming more magnetic and confident. You might not feel like you are doing much, but your guides are saying this is transformation. Networking events, hangouts, job interviews, and other opportunities will flow to you easily. This is month where you are meant to be out and about.
You might feel there’s a return to the past— people, memories, or pieces of your inner child asking for your attention. Some of these moments will be pleasant, some will not. The Ten of Swords & Wheel of Fortune (rx) tells me this month you will recognize a cycle that you will have to choose to release, even if it means not getting the closure you thought you needed.
The lessons this month are to rebuild your self worth, nurture your inner child, and release any lingering past baggage without needing every answer. Closure might not have been straightforward, but the cycle has ended to start a new chapter.
ᯓ✦ Channeled Quotes/Messages(s):
you’re not going backward stop trying to rewrite the past consistently is louder than doubt you don't have to carry the weight that isn’t yours feel your feelings & release them trust divine timing is your best ally you are never alone in your journey don't underestimate small shifts; they add up keep going, don't look back
⋆˚ʚɞ Messages & Signs: 111, 11:22, birds flying in pairs, “go with the flow”, clocks glitching, sudden mood swings out of nowhere, electronic glitches, 12:21, divine timing delays that are blessings, squirrels, 10:10, 999, 12:34, seeing butterflies with white or pale wings, baby photos, rewatching old shows, mirrors, broken glass or glass reflections, people from your past reaching out
“I grow even in stillness. I heal without needing the final word.”

Pile II.
// morpho & amethyst //
Song(s): Paradise — Coldplay & Titanium — David Guetta (ft. Sia)
⟡ Cards Pulled: The Moon, The Lovers, Knight of Wands (rx), King of Swords (rx), Ten of Cups
✦ Themes this Month: fog before clarity, surrender, divine alignment, shadow work, lack of movement
This month Amethyst is your crystal messenger, it carries the energy to help with intuition, emotional protection, and connect you to spirit—it whispers to your higher self through gut feelings, dreams, and signs when you least expect them. This stone helps walk you through the veil of fog and uncertainty. Sleep with amethyst near your bed or meditate with it when you're unsure. This will help you tune in instead of overthinking or spiraling. July is asking you to move intentionally and listen.
Uncertainty, delayed action, choices, and fog are in the soup for my pile II’s. Don’t be surprised if you feel sleepy, dreamy, indecisive, or closed off this month. A lack of motivation and inspiration could be holding you energetically hostage.
However, your spirit guides and higher self are guiding you to dig inward to make decisions that isn’t logical but felt. The Moon & Lovers shows a crossroad between dream and reality, choices and alignment. It’s a liminal space, where you are told to make an aligned choice. This is choice that is meant to serve you not others.
Ten of Cups shows that fulfillment and harmony are within reach this month. But, only when you stop trying to force your path to look like others and start building structure from within. You are being asked: What do you want? How are you going to make it happen? This isn’t a race, rather a realignment test. You’re told to drop the comparison olympics. Your journey is uniquely yours. Your spirit guides are protecting and guiding you even in moments of doubt.
ᯓ✦ Channeled Quotes/Message(s):
remember the universe is always working in your favor you were not supposed to stay the same you are spiritually protected the art of surrendering is trusting the process the grass is greener wherever you are seasons of rest are sacred as seasons of bloom stillness isn’t delay, its a doorway the answers will come you are worthy of love and happiness you won't miss what’s meant for you even if you hesitate
⋆˚ʚɞ Messages & Signs: “trust the process”, couples appearing around you, moon phases, stars, black cats, crane fly, “stagnation is movement”, 888, 11:22, 222, 717, 11:11, 828, hearing songs that feel like they’re “answering your question”, rings/circular objects, hazy/foggy weather, purple/pink flowers, soft floral scents, dreams about crossroads/trains/elevators, birds circling or staring at you
“Even in confusion, I trust the path is unfolding for me.”

Pile III.
// swallowtail & tigers eye //
Song(s): Headlock — Imogen Heap & Bulletproof — La Roux
⟡ Cards Pulled: Ace of Wheels (rx), The High Priestess, Queen of Cups (rx), Three of Wands (rx), The Lovers (rx)
✦ Themes this Month: courage, self-trust, emotional blockage, progress, instability, rebuilding foundations, leaping into the unknown
With tiger's eye as your companion this month you’re being handed the strength to act even when scared or when the path looks unclear. This stone is fierce with clarity, risk taking, and courage. This stone will help you spot opportunities where you saw obstacles and help you move through fog. Carry tiger's eye when you need courage to speak up, make a decision, or whenever you travel. It will be your spiritual “pep talk” reminding you courage isn’t without fear, but it's the decision to do it with fear.
Stepping into the fire is pile III’s theme this month. Emotional messiness, mixed signals, and a sense of chaos around finances, purpose, and close relations is all in a mixed bag. But, your guides are letting you know this is about preparation & initiation. You are being asked: How far are you willing to go? Can you leap before the safety net appears?
You are being called to act from intuition rather certainty. Because certainty is not guaranteed. You are meant to move even when fear and failure strike. The High Priestess is your own inner knowing peeking behind the veil. You know what you need to do, you're just afraid of it not working out and people’s opinions. (spoiler alert: it never mattered)
The Ace of Wheels (rx) and Lovers (rx) is about rebuilding your path and those you associate with. You might struggle with communicating your needs to others or even yourself. You might have arguments with those who don’t see your dreams. But, your guides want you to know, you do not need a solid foundation to begin. Start messy. Start with shaky hands. Start before anyone claps. And, just when you feel things aren’t moving—unexpected communication, wild dreams, surprising shifts will change stagnation to direction.
ᯓ✦ Channeled Quotes/Message(s);
free yourself from your past self, you deserve to vibrate higher ask for more, the universe always provides it all works out you will know its right when it gives you energy fear is not a stop sign, it's proof you’re close to something real it’s okay if you don’t feel ready, perfection doesn’t = courage you radiate confidence, strength, and self respect take a leap regardless on whether you can see the whole staircase or not mastery takes failure you are not behind, you are becoming in your own time
⋆˚ʚɞ Messages & Signs: vivid dreams, dark red & gold colors, clouds, “balance”, bees, red cars, 222, 444, feathers, familiar scents, lavender scent, candles, “believe in your own power”, chills, sudden cramps/goosebumps, 333, 555, 144, tigers, hawks, dropped calls/miscommunication glitches, flickering lights, smelling something burnt or smoky, gold jewelry, ladders
“I act even when afraid. I trust the next step will reveal itself as I take it.”

Venus Dominant Themes — 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (part 1) 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟒
warnings: mentions of sexual assault, rape and murder.
Finally, I am exploring Venus as a nakshatra lord but, more importantly, the significance of the nakshatra Purva Ashada through medias I've collected. The nakshatras within the Sagittarius section seem to all connect through the theme of purification, especially with the start of Mula who destroys the falsehood through the hunter/huntress archetype and purifies the untamable. As Mula is the cycle of conquering the wild things and seeking truth, Purva Ashada is now a stage above that.
It is already evident in that Purva Ashada literally means "the undefeated" or "the unconquered", now dealing with themes of justice, honour and battle. This nakshatra is known as the Invincible Star. This victorious warrior-like essence stretches towards Uttara Ashada, as Uttara Ashada means "later victory" or "final victory", closing off this journey in Sagittarius. Other Venus nakshatras will be mentioned, as expected, since trine nakshatras all literally have the same outlining experiences.
Purva Ashada is associated with invincibility and triumph over adversity. It possesses the Varchagrahan Shakti, which is the power to invigorate or energise, meaning to be relentless and driven in its pursuit of ideals. Its desire is said to be “gaining the sea upon wishing for it”, being supported by its Jupiter rulership. As Jupiter is idealistic, Purva Ashada will be more set in its way through action and fixed determination as it is, first and foremost, a fire sign. As this is Sagittarius, it comes as no surprise that fictional archers in the media can be often played by these natives, signifying their grit and focused determination ♐︎.

Mula Suns Kathryn Winnick in Vikings and Anna Popplewell in Narnia.
Purva Ashada Moon Hailee Stainfield and Purva Ashada Sun Jeremy Renner in Hawkeye.

Purva Ashada Sun Jonas Armstrong in Robin Hood.
Archery is especially perfect for this nakshatra's lord as it requires a flowing adaptability and accuracy as Venus would obsess over perfecting and executing it, unyielding a level of concentration and precision through burning passion and drive.
Bharani Sun Stephen Amell in Green Arrow.
The star of Purva Ashada is very fierce and severe by nature, being Ugra, and with its Venus rulership, it will always always find a way to achieve its goals. Venus allows for creativity, craftiness, and even strategy (especially within diplomacy); the fire element making it fierce and quick-thinking for battle and war. The fire signs in the Venus section are specifically suited for overpowering societal norms in a way that their combined fire element and Venusian qualities know how to. The best character that exemplifies this is literally Mulan.
The themes of fighting for honour, family, one's country and being part of a larger purpose are just knocking on the 9H, and Sagittarius, as a whole. Purva Ashada cannot be victorious without overcoming hardships and obstacles that sharpen their skills and instincts. Her obstacle is what supports her journey to independence and truth, as she disguises herself as a man to join the army when women are not meant to fight for their country. Jupiter, being expansive in nature, shows in her decision to break free from the confines of being a traditional woman. Her character immediately signifies Sagittarius' need for freedom in pursuit of truth and expansion. When she is told no, she goes the other way to march to the beat of her own drum, her determination unwavering and her creativity helping her remain disguised while she acquires skills and knowledge that she wouldn't have as a woman (now her Jupiterian nature is able to flourish).
Purva Ashada Moon Ming-Na Wen voices Mulan. Purva Ashadha is formed by the stars Kaus Borealis and Kaus Australis in the Archer’s bow.
Purva Ashada signifies perseverance and moral duty which we see in Mulan who carries a deep responsibility to her family & country, choosing to prioritize duty and honour over societal norms or even personal desire.

She grows stronger, more skillful, after every challenge; influence of Venus sharpening and refining her, as she is on her way to become an invincible, victorious force.

Jupiter rashis (Sagittarius and Pisces) all have a theme of transcendence; Mulan's arc having more to do with family and patriotism, transcending limitations and becoming a hero who saves China. The message of the story has a lot to do with self-worth, making your mark no matter the restrictions of society; the philosophy of Mulan being that real honour and strength come from within and not from conforming.

The whole Sagittarius section deals with issues of conformity, such as Mula who doesn't fit in society or doesn't feel free within it due to its raw nature. Mula, being Ketu, tends to find ways to escape or its power can be intense. While Purva Ashada, being Venus, is more creative in maneuvering restrictions in order to overcome them.

Both Lea Salonga and Christina Aguilera sing the popular soundtrack song Reflection.
In the kdrama The King's Affection, Purva Phalguni Sun Park Eun-bin plays a character who disguises herself as a man to survive in such a patriarchal society.

Much like Mulan, she breaks societal expectations. Both characters have to prove their worth even while they're men, and these two Venusians excel in their roles despite all challenges and danger. While Mulan sacrifices her personal safety to protect her father and to fight for her country, the character Dam-i (in The King's Affection) sacrifices her identity and freedom to maintain her family's honour and stability in the kingdom.

Purva Phalguni Moon Yifei Liu in Mulan (2020)
Venus is connected to the idea of sacrifice in the willingness to endure for love, beauty, and unity. This willingness to transcend one's own personhood for the greater good or a higher ideal perfectly captures the Jupiter & Venus rulership of this nakshatra.

The film Wonder Woman (2017) begins by telling a similar arc to Mulan. Before being known as the hero named Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, who trained rigorously to be an unconquerable warrior.
Raised on a sheltered island paradise, she meets a stranded war pilot who tells her about the massive conflict happening in the outside world. Convinced that she can help stop the threat, Diana desires to leave Themyscira for the first time ever. Much like Mulan's desire to join the army was protested against, the Amazons tried to stop Diana from leaving, as they feared for her safety. As the rashi rulership here is Mars, there are no barriers to overcome to expand oneself from clear oppressive forces (which would be a Jupiterian storyline), instead, this portrayal of Wonder Woman goes head first into battle (very Aries of her).

Her Aries nature shows as we follow her in her journey of self-discovery when she joins the pilot to fight the wars. This Aries version of Wonder Woman is seen as she explores this new world like a newborn baby, as Aries is the baby of the zodiac. Her identity (following 1H themes) is slowly uncovered as she comes to realize that she is the Godkiller, meaning that she has always been a goddess. And that there is a potential confrontation awaiting her with Ares, the God of War. This discovery is picked up when she is fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars.
Bharani is ruled by the Lord Yama who is the god of justice. He oversees the transition of souls after death, ensuring that they face the consequences of their actions as he acts as a guardian of moral order and spiritual integrity.
Bharani ASC Cate Blanchett plays Hela, the Goddess of Death. Yama is the God of Death and the Lord of the Afterlife.
Purva Ashada nakshatra generally carries this sense of justice as well, as it stands for truth and high morality. This can be seen in the film North Country, which is directed by Purva Ashada Moon native Niki Caro (who also directed 2020's live-action Mulan).

Purva Phalguni ASC Charlize Theron portrays one of the members of the first group of women working at a local iron mine in Minnesota. Male workers become offended that they have to work with women, and they express this by lashing out at them, subjecting them to sexual harassment. Appalled by the physical abuse and violent misogyny, Charlize Theron's character files a historic sexual harassment lawsuit, despite being cautioned against it by family and friends.
The reality of femicide tends to be bravely explored through the media by Venusians the most, I've noticed. Acts that harm women, such as physical or sexual violence, can be seen as affronts to Venus itself, violating the sacred feminine.

A lot of revenge stories led by women start with the woman being sexually violated or physically oppressed, justifying her rage and her violence against those who have harmed her.

Lord Yama is also known as Dharma Raja, which translates to "King of Righteousness". Being associated with his punishment for sinners, retribution and justice are synonymous in this cycle; seen in popular revenge movies where one is given this divine right to properly, and quickly, execute justice for themselves and, or their loved ones. As if Lord Yama is acting through them, they are protected on their path of vengeance and restoration.
Purva Phalguni ASC Charlize Theron as Furiosa.
In the film Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa is driven by a desire to restore freedom, dignity, and hope to the oppressed class of society. Through her actions, she opposes the extreme patriarchy, her character signifying collective salvation. Furiosa carries a relentless drive to overthrow Immortan Joe’s tyrannical rule and rescue the few women in the society, who are treated as his property. Her unbreakable spirit in the face of extreme challenges mirrors the invincibility found within Purva Ashada (and its trine nakshatras). Purva Ashada's link to water, as it is ruled by the deity Apah, highlights purification, healing, and renewal. Furiosa’s quest to find the Green Place, a sanctuary of life and hope, reflects this thirst for a pure, life-sustaining environment. (As everywhere else is a post-apocalyptic wasteland).

Being that she is played by a Venus-nakshatra native, we see just how self-sacrificing she is for a greater purpose, being protective over the Wives and willing to risk everything for their safety and make it to the Green Place in order to establish a new foundation of harmony (Purva Phalguni is associated with comfort and happiness, and this version of Furiosa carries hope for such a future for her and the Wives).
Bharani ASC Anya Taylor Joy portrays a younger Furiosa who disguises herself as a man for survival and avenges the brutal death of her mother who was murdered in front of her as a child (much like O-Ren Ishii in Kill Bill.)

Bharani Moon Quentin Tarantino has written and directed popular revenge movies, such as Kill Bill & Django Unchained.

Both films star Bharani natives who execute retribution to people who did them wrong.
In Kill Bill, there's another Bharani storyline in which a little girl, O-Ren Ishii, witnesses the brutal death of her parents. She grows up to be trained and lethal, and kills the culprit that she's sworn revenge on.
O-Ren Ishii is portrayed by Bharani Moon Lucy Liu.
Bharani Moon Han So-Hee portrays Ji-woo, a woman driven by a thirst for vengeance, infiltrating a drug cartel to uncover the truth behind her father's murder.

In the Korean film Night in Paradise, Bharani Moon Jeon Yeo-Been portrays a character who goes on a murder spree in the ending, ambushing the gangsters who murdered her uncle and a friend of hers and being the one to successfully kill off the antagonist.
In Last Night in Soho, Bharani ASC Anya Taylor Joy kills all the men who have sexually violated her, and more importantly, avenges herself by murdering the man who lured her into the abusive underworld.

Claire Nakti touches on Bharani women being erotic dancers and finding themselves in the underworld. This further validated Anya Taylor Joy's Bharani placement for me, in this movie she's been sex trafficked and forced to be a dancer and prostitute in an underworld of sorts.
Purva Phalguni Sun& ASC Salma Hayek as an erotic dancer in an underworld in From Dusk Till Dawn.
It is interesting as trine nakshatras are also seen associated with the Goddess Persephone, Queen of the Underworld.

In The Matrix franchise, Persephone is married to the Merovingian, a program often described as a ruler or trafficker of information in the Matrix's underworld.
The Goddess Persephone is mostly associated with Bharani nakshatra. Initially being a victim of Hades' abduction, Persephone's evolution into a strong ruler of the underworld represents resilience and empowerment which perfectly encapsulates the journey of Venus nakshatras. She literally grows into a powerful queen, presiding over the dead and representing justice and the necessary order within the underworld. Bharani signifies the womb, representing creation, struggle, and the emergence of new life. Persephone’s cyclic movement between the underworld and the earth (as she is also the personification of vegetation, also being the goddess of spring) mirrors this cycle of life, embodying death (winter) and rebirth (spring). Purva Ashada represents the regenerative power of life, also signifying its association with Persephone’s role in seasonal changes. (Also, Furiosa's abduction from the Green Place perfectly parallels Persephone's abduction, as explained above).
In conclusion, there lies a higher purpose within the Venus nakshatras, especially Purva Ashada nakshatra, which possesses an ability to harmonize life's dualities—victory and loss, pleasure and pain, creation and destruction, love and retribution—into a transformative journey of growth, empowerment, and universal balance. Venus emphasizes how resilience and renewal can lead to profound evolution, with Purva Ashada's process of purification being removing impurities and starting anew. The character Mulan going through army training highlighted her inadequacies and shortcomings; her initiation of purification being the stage where she breaks free from traditional expectations. And so the process of purification is seen in her discovering ways to make up for her lack of physical strength, this being a mark of her transformation while being disguised as a man. Rediscovering her inner strength is all the cleansing of self-doubt that she needs to go through to finally be in her final triumph. Reconciling her inner self with her external role, Mulan symbolizes the renewal and balance within Purva Ashada.

one thing i feel like some ppl forget, gloss over, or just don’t know abt madoka/madokami, is that her existence as a concept/god is much more than being lonely and unhappy, it also involves a cycle of endless and constant suffering and purification w absolutely no reward outside of saving magical girls from being witches.
let me explain:
when madoka made her wish, aka became a god, she swore to prevent all witches from the past, the present, and the future forever, meaning that madoka is CONSTANTLY sending herself everywhere at once all the time in order to do that, while also having to absorb the negative energy from their gems AND purify it all at the same time.
could you imagine just how absolutely fucking exhausting and lonely that is? not only does no one know or remember her, outside of homura, and she can’t even interact w anybody outside of her role as a savior and a god.
and she constantly has to purify all of the negative energy she absorbs 24/7. is an endless cycle with, as i said before, zero reward except for preventing witches.
there’s a scene in rebellion where madoka reaches for homura, and each time she does, you can see scars littered on her arm (s). not only is that a literal representation of her dying for the “sins”, aka wishes of all magical girls, but i also think that they’re meant to signify madoka’s pain, the pain she hides and lies about behind her god status and her genuine, loving demeanor.
it’s why the flower scene is so important and powerful; yes, it may have been madoka w/o her proper memories intact, but that’s exactly it: madoka is only able to be so honest w homura right then and there bc she doesn’t remember her godly obligations, all of her guilt and responsibilities at all.
and homura knows all of this. it’s why her reaction is so intense, desperate, and painful, esp after her fake world begins to rly fall apart; like madoka, homura very easily blames herself for a lot, even the stuff that isn’t rly her fault and she’s just being unfair/mean to herself.

Profection Years: The Year Your Soul Turns the Page ( all houses )
Every birthday, your chart shifts without announcement. Like a chapter turning behind your back. You wake up the next morning and something feels different, not louder, not clearer, just undeniable. A new lesson, humming beneath the skin. A new part of you asking to be heard. This is the language of profection years. Twelve-year cycles. One house activated each year. One ruling planet holding the light. Not as fate, but as focus. A lens you start to see your whole life through, whether you mean to or not.
1st House Profection Year
This is the year you become the ground you stand on. Everything begins at the body. Not your image, not your reputation, your pulse. Your breath. The primal instinct underneath the performance. This year, the mask slips. The old names don't fit. You’re not becoming someone new, you’re being emptied of who you were never meant to be. This is the year you remember that identity is not a fixed state but a skin that sheds itself as you grow. You’re rebuilding your reflection from the inside out. The soul reclaims the steering wheel. It’s raw. It’s personal. It’s you before the world asked you to be anything else.
2nd House Profection Year
This is the year you learn what can’t be stolen. Your sense of worth gets stripped to the roots. Not in punishment, in purification. The external scaffolding you’ve leaned on, money, possessions, praise, begins to wobble, not because you're losing, but because your soul is asking: what remains when the performance ends? This year teaches you how to hold value the way the Earth holds water: quietly, unshakably, beneath the surface. You become your own source. You learn to eat from your own garden. To own what no one can take. Not status. Not salary. But presence. Breath. Trust. This is the year you stop renting your worth from the world.
3rd House Profection Year
This is the year your mind becomes a labyrinth and a lantern. You start hearing yourself differently. Not just what you say, but what you repeat. The questions that loop. The beliefs that follow you like shadows. This year doesn’t just sharpen your thoughts, it exposes the architecture of your perception. The stories you've inherited. The phrases you use to keep things safe. You may pick up a pen, speak something out loud, or realize your voice is not what you thought it was. This isn’t the year to silence yourself. It’s the year to trace every thought back to its origin and rewrite the script. Let your language become your liberation.
4th House Profection Year
This is the year your bones begin to speak. You are returning to the memory underneath everything. The quiet ache you’ve carried without knowing. This year opens a door inside your bloodline. A hallway of dreams and ghosts, inherited fears and forgotten promises. It is not always visible. This is underground work. The soul is excavating. You may feel the need to nest, to disappear, to go soft and silent. Trust it. Your roots are being rewritten. You are learning how to be your own home, not in theory, but in texture. In silence. In surrender. In the stories you’re finally willing to unlearn.
5th House Profection Year
This is the year your joy stops asking for permission. There’s a kind of freedom that can only be accessed through the body, through laughter, through mess, through art that makes no sense and needs no explanation. This is the year you stop explaining. The year your soul kicks the door down and demands to feel. Not to perform pleasure, but to practice it. To remember what desire feels like without shame hanging from its neck. Creation becomes instinct. Romance becomes ritual. The world wants to see you bloom and you finally let it, without trimming the petals. This is the year you take up space just because it feels good.
6th House Profection Year
This is the year your healing becomes a rhythm, not a rescue. Forget transcendence. This is the year you meet your healing on the ground. In the dishes. In the breath before you say yes. In how you talk to yourself when no one’s around to listen. This isn’t glamorous. It’s intimate. You begin to notice how much you’ve abandoned your own body in the name of being "productive." You start to listen. To tend. To show up for yourself not as a performance, but as a promise. Every act of care becomes a rebellion. Every pause, a prayer. You’re not being fixed, you’re being fortified. This is devotion, not duty. This is the rebuild.
7th House Profection Year
This is the year you meet yourself in the eyes of another and flinch. Relationships stop being theory. They become threshold. The mirror gets too clear to avoid. Suddenly, the way you give, the way you vanish, the way you perform being “easy to love”, it all surfaces. You may fall for someone. You may fall out of a version of yourself. But either way, you see. This isn’t just about connection, it’s about reflection. You’re meeting parts of you you left behind in other people’s hands. This year asks: Can you be held without disappearing inside it? This is the reckoning. And the repair.
8th House Profection Year
This is the year you lose what you thought you needed, and find what you were born to carry. There is no easy way to write this year. Only truth. Something ends. Something breaks. Something is stripped from your grip not because you did something wrong, but because you’re not supposed to carry it anymore. This is the year of thresholds. Of intimacy so deep it undoes you. Of power reclaimed from the ruins of performance. You learn to trust again, not blindly, but fully. You may grieve. You may tremble. You may finally understand what surrender actually means. This is the year the soul gets honest. And the body learns how to survive without the armor.
9th House Profection Year
This is the year your soul packs a bag and leaves before you understand why. Restlessness isn’t a problem, it’s a message. Something in you wants out. Out of the story, out of the pattern, out of the room where you’ve been pretending to believe what no longer fits. This is a year of search. A year of seeking the language for what you’ve felt your whole life but couldn’t name. You may leave the country. Or just your comfort zone. But you go. Not to escape, but to expand. The soul wants the sky now, not for distance, but for perspective. You don’t need to be right. You just need to be open. And brave enough to follow the ache.
10th House Profection Year
This is the year you rise and decide what it’s for. Visibility comes. But so does the weight. The pressure. The temptation to let the world define your success. But this isn’t about applause. It’s about alignment. You are being asked to claim your voice in public. To live your purpose out loud. Not just in theory, but in action. What you build now will echo. This is legacy energy. It doesn’t have to be big. But it does have to be real. Let your ambition come from your integrity. Let your impact be rooted in truth. You’re not here to perform success. You’re here to redefine it.
11th House Profection Year
This is the year you remember: you’re allowed to be seen and still belong. The crowd becomes the mirror. This year, community comes into focus, not just for connection, but for reckoning. You begin to see where you’ve outgrown the rooms that once felt like home. You also start to imagine futures bigger than yourself. Dreams too heavy to carry alone. This is the year your vision expands. The year your people shift. The year you realize your soul doesn’t want to climb the mountai, it wants to build the village. What you imagine now can take root in the world. You’re not alone. You never were. Now you get to believe it.
12th House Profection Year
This is the year of disappearing to find what’s been buried beneath your name. Let it come undone. Let the noise go silent. This is not a year of rising, it’s a year of dissolving. You are being pulled inward now, not in weakness, but in necessity. You cannot carry this next chapter with your old patterns intact. This is the cocoon. The unraveling. The slow, sacred death before the new self takes form. You may need to retreat. To sleep. To cry for no reason. Let yourself. The soul is doing work the mind cannot name. Trust the quiet. Let the world forget you for a moment. So you can remember who you were before all the performance began.
Want to get to know your birth chart in a real, human way? My book unpacks it step by step, no fluff, just truth. Available here, and all digital platforms!!

Magical Oil Recipes - Buffs and Blessings Edition

For anyone looking to brew up a potion for the purposes of augmentation or blessing, here are some recipes I’ve created that you might find useful.
To prepare them, blend the ingredients in such proportions as feels correct for your purposes (or as supplies allow). Use dried material except where indicated. Place a few spoonfuls in a mason jar with a screwtop lid and fill the jar with a bland oil of your choice. (Vegetable oil of the sort you would buy for cooking works fine.) Screw the lid on tightly and shake well to combine, then leave the jar in a dark dry place for 2-4 weeks to steep.
Once steeped, prepare a clean storage bottle (also with a secure lid) and label with the type of oil and the bottling date. Strain the oil through paper towels or cheesecloth to remove the plant material, then bottle immediately. Store away from sunlight and heat for up to one year. Use for spellwork as you see fit.
(Please note that NONE of these potions are meant to be taken internally by any means. Observe all proper safety measures related to glass, fire, and potentially harmful plants as necessary during preparation.)

History and evolution of the Roman calendar
In early Rome the calendar had 10 months. January and February did not exist. The year began on March 1st, according to tradition Romulus and Remus was born on the 24th of that month.
Romulus calendar

The first four months were given a specific name.
Martius (March) The first month of the oldest Roman calendar. It is named after Roman god of war, and ancestor of the Roman people through his sons Romulus and Remus. It was the month of the army. From Martius comes the word Martial.
Aprilis (April) derived from aperire, which means to open, because in this month the earth opens its bosom to begin to produce flowers and fruits; it was under the protection of Venus and has been represented as a man dancing to the sound of an instrument. In later times, in Ancient Rome, this month was celebrated to honor Ceres, the goddess of agriculture. According to Roman tradition, Romulus founded the city on the 21st of this month.
Maius (May); month dedicated to the elderly, who were honored for the work they had done for Rome. Much later, this month was also dedicated to the goddess Maia (originally from Greece). For the Romans, Maia embodied the concept of growth, since her name was related to the Latin comparative adjective maius ("greater" or "elder").
Iunius (June). The queen of the gods, Juno, honours the name of this month.
The rest of the months were named after their numerical position:
Quintilis (Fifth) Sextīlis (Sixth)

September (Seventh) October (Eighth)

November (Ninth) December (Tenth)
Numa Pompilius Calendar

After the death of Romulus there was an interregnum (a year without a king) after which Numa Pompilius was elected by the Senate. According to Roman historians and Roman tradition, the Senate was created by Romulus.
The calendar was reformed beginning in the Kings Etruscan period (7th-6th centuries BC), although Roman historians attributed the reform to King Numa Pompilius. In this reform, the length of the months was modified to last 29 and 31 days alternately and two months were added after December: Ianuarius and Februarius.
Ianuarius (January) related to Janus (Ianus) the god of the portals, the beginnings and endings.
Februarius (February) in honor of Februus, god of the dead and purification. During this month the Romans dedicated themselves to rites and religious functions to purify the body and spirit and propitiate the arrival of the new year. Februaris comes in turn from februum which means "purification".

This calendar was in force until the time of the Republic. In 153 BC, the lunar cycle was replaced by the solar cycle. Since the civil year began and ended on the winter solstice, the calendar had to start on January 1. Thus January and February became the first and second months of the year. Despite this change, the six months that were named according to their numerical position kept their names.
But things were not fixed after this reform, as the official lunar calendar was still out of phase with the seasonal course, based on the solar cycle, it was decided to add two months every four years, one of 22 and the other of 23 days, called intercalary. The complicated system of adjusting the months so that the years would fit the solar cycle was controlled by the College of Pontiffs, but this inconsistency was never satisfactorily resolved.
Until JULIUS CAESAR arrived
The Julian Calendar

With the collaboration of the prestigious astronomer Sosigenes of Alexandria, Julius Caesar reformed the calendar definitively.
This reform dated the Roman seasons and festivals according to the astronomical moment in which they occurred. It was agreed that every year should have 365 days, and every four years would have 366 days; these years would be called Leap Years.
The new calendar was implemented in 46 BC; The Romans called it "The last year of confusion."
It was not until this calendar, known first as the Julius Calendar and much later as the Julian, that the months began to have the same number of days as they have to this day.
Following the infamous Ides of March in 44 BC, on the initiative of Mark Antony, the month in which Julius Caesar was born (Quintilis) was dedicated to him and named Iulius (July).
In 8 BC, through the Lex Pacuvia de mense Sextilis, the Senate dedicated the month of Sextilis to Augustus. The homage-requested by Augustus himself- was supposedly because he had been named Consul for the first time in in the month Sextilis but in reality it was because he had conquered Egypt also in that month; such conquest led him directly to absolute power over Rome. Ironically, Augustus died on August 19, AD 14.

South Asian and Hindu Influences in ATLA (Part 1)
disclaimer: i was raised culturally and religiously hindu, and though i've tried to do my research for this post and pair it with my own cultural knowledge, i'm not an expert on hinduism by any means. should i mess up, please let me know.
please also be aware that many of the concepts discussed in this post overlap heavily with religions such as buddhism and jainism, which might have different interpretations and representations. as i'm not from those religions or cultures, i don't want to speak on them, but if anyone with that knowledge wishes to add on, please feel free.
it's well-known that atla draws from indigenous, east and southeast asian influences, but something i rarely see discussed in the fandom is the influences the show takes from hinduism and south asia, and there are actually far more than i think people are aware of.
so here's a (non-exhaustive list) of the main inspirations atla drew from south asian culture and hinduism, starting with...
The Avatar
the title of the show itself is taken from the ancient language of sanskrit, often considered the sacred tongue of the hindu religion. in sanskrit, the word "avatar" means to "descend" or "alight".
the concept of the avatar is a very old one, referring to the physical incarnation of a powerful deity or spirit. the idea of the avatar is most often linked to the god Vishnu, one of three supreme hindu gods collectively called the trimurti, or trinity. the avatar is said to manifest upon earth primarily in times of great need, when balance must be maintained between the forces of good and evil.
atla borrows heavily from this idea in having aang be the incarnation of a divine spirit who returns to the world during a time of immense strife, and is tasked with defeating a great evil to bring balance back to the world. and though i don't know if it was an intentional reference, it's interesting to note that Krishna, the most famous incarnation of Vishnu was also reborn amidst a fierce storm and carried through a raging sea to a new home where he would be protected from the king who sought to kill him. sounds a little familiar, doesn't it?
Agni Kai and the Philosophy of Firebending
the word "agni" derives from the sanskrit name Agni, the god of fire, though it can also generally mean "fire".
the concepts of lightning bending and the sun being the source of firebending are likely also taken from the idea of Agni, since he's said to exist simultaneously in three different forms on three different dimensions: as fire on earth, as lightning in the atmosphere, and as the sun in the sky.
Agni is a significant aspect of many rituals, including marriage rites, death rites, and the festivals of holi and diwali. the concept of Agni is one of duality: life and death, rebirth and destruction. hindu rituals accept and celebrate both aspects, revolving around the idea that destruction is not separate from creation, but rather necessary to facilitate it. the cremation of the dead, for instance, is seen as purification, not destruction: burning away the physical form so the soul is unencumbered, set free to continue the reincarnation cycle.
this influence can be seen in the firebending masters episode, which discusses the idea of fire being vital to life. the sun warriors safeguarding the original fire and demanding that zuko and aang bring fire to the dragons as a sacrifice could also reference the ritual of Agnihotra - the ritual of keeping a fire at the home hearth and making offerings to it. the purpose of this ritual differs depending on which text you refer to, but it is generally believed to purify the person and atmosphere in which it is performed, similar to how zuko and aang must make offerings to ran and shaw and survive their fire before being deemed worthy and pure.
Agnihotra is said to serve as a symbolic reminder of the vitality and importance of fire as the driving force of life, a lesson that zuko and aang also internalize from their encounter with the dragons.
Bumi
bumi's name is taken from the sanskrit word "bhumi", which means "earth". it's also the name of the hindu goddess of the earth, bumi or bhudevi.
one of the things the original animation didn't do and which i really enjoyed about the live action was that they made bumi indian and added desi inspiration to omashu. it makes perfect sense for a king whose name is as hindu-inspired as they come.
NWT Royal Palace
chief arnook's palace in the northern water tribe takes inspiration from the gopurams of hindu temples, massive pyramidal structures that served as entrance towers to the temple.

gopurams were built tall enough to be seen for miles around, beacons to signal tired or weary travellers who wished for a place to rest that a temple was nearby. it's a nice touch that the chief's palace is located in front of the spirit oasis, a similarly symbolic entryway to a sanctuary housing otherworldly deities.
Betrothal Necklaces
to preface: i doubt this was an intentional reference, and this great post talks about other cultures that could have inspired the water tribe betrothal necklaces. given the desi influence in the nwt architecture however, i figured it was worth mentioning.
the idea of betrothal necklaces being given to women by their male partners is similar to the thaali, a necklace given to hindu wives by their husbands. during hindu weddings, grooms tie the thaali around their brides' necks to symbolize their marriage. once given, wives are expected to wear their thaali till the day they die, as doing so is believed to bring good luck, health and prosperity to their husbands.
Chi-Blocking
though chi-blocking takes primary inspiration from the art of Dim Mak, it is also influenced by the south indian martial arts forms of adimurai and kalaripayattu, both of which include techniques of striking vital points in the body to disable or kill an opponent.
kalaripayattu also shares parallels with firebending, being a very physically demanding, aggressive martial art that emphasises the importance of discipline and mental fortitude. control of the mind is essential to control of the body, a philosophy similar to that espoused by iroh across the show.
Wan Shi Tong's Library

the library draws inspiration partly from the taj mahal, the famous mausoleum constructed by shah jahan during the mughal empire as a monument to his beloved wife, mumtaz mahal.
i'll end this post here since it's getting too long as it is, and the following section will be even longer. for while atla treated the concepts in this post with respect, the same unfortunately cannot be said for its depiction of guru pathik and combustion man - both of which we'll be discussing next.

Phases of the menstrual cycle broken down for divine feminine & divine masculine who are invested in a romantic connection:

Message: hello!, I'm very excited about this post, I've been working on it all day and felt called to talk about this because in a lot of divine feminines lives right now we're focusing on learning to alchemize and transmute energy and how to best prepare for our manifestations and make the proper decisions to keep ourselves in alignment BUT a good amount of divine feminines are also in the energy of seeking out an awakened masculine or cultivating good energies in their connections. This is a magnificent way to create further spiritually inclined connections in your relationships but also to move into the energy of enlightenment as individuals. I also will say that if you're mensurating be wary of physical sex on your cycle while actively bleeding as it can form soul ties, it's meant to solidify attachments and strengthen the ability to share energy in romantic connections. if you're a woman in general be wary of opening up and allowing anyone in your womb, please be discerning and choose wisely.
(There will also be a shortly summarized version on my Instagram for reposting and sharing purposes if you want to share this type of information with friends and loved ones who may not be on this platform! My Instagram: @theeternalwombtarot)
****
phase one: The Menstrual phase (days: 1-5) / "Winter" / The New Moon
physical symptoms: fatigue, cramps, bloating, headaches, lower back pain, and breast tenderness
emotional symptoms: low mood, irritability, fatigue, and emotional sensitivity
hormonal changes: low estrogen and progesterone, drop in hormones triggers menstruation
spiritual meaning: rest, release, and renewal. letting go, shedding what no longer serves you physically (biologically) and energetically, and preparing for new beginnings.
themes: reflection, introspection, purification & renewal.
spiritual practice & priority for divine feminine: meditation and grounding techniques, journaling, and rituals of release and healing. embrace and lean into intuition and release emotional baggage and limiting beliefs. embrace themes that come up to the surface to come out by acknowledging, surrendering control and worry, and seeking out new perspective and spiritual guidance. You're going to want to hone in and pay close attention to the body and emotional strain at this time to help you best navigate what needs to be put down or released. use the body at its most heightened to guide you in the direction of alignment and enlightenment. prioritize your happiness and peace.
divine masculines role at this time: further aid in themes of the menstrual cycle by creating an environment of rest, relaxation, and harmony. Study the woman and her needs and desires (both on an emotional and physical-biological human scale). Pour back into her through creating solace in her time of rest and relaxation. Attempt to control disturbing influences as much as possible to conserve divine feminines remaining energy left over and reserved for her rebirth and renewal. Move forward in the energy of compassion and service. Take on her needs and emotional state as if it were your own in order to be productive and fulfilling at this time. Move into the energy of compassion (to feel as she feels and to also feel sorrow for her and thus have desire to alleviate suffering and then do so.)
phase two: The Follicular Phase (days: 6-14) / "Spring" / Waxing Crescent
physical symptoms: increased mood, higher motivation, skin may begin to clear, light discharge
emotional symptoms: increased mood, higher motivation, increased creativity, mental clarity
hormonal changes: rising estrogen, FSH stimulate follicle growth in ovaries, and the uterine lining will begin to thicken to support a fertilized egg.
spiritual meaning: growth, new beginnings, and rising energy. Time for planting new seeds (like ideas, intentions, and projects) and feeling excited for and embracing growth.
themes: creativity, rebirth, expansion, and manifestation
spiritual practice & priority for divine feminine: this is a good time for divine feminine to set intentions, start new projects, and embrace creativity. visualization during meditation, affirmations, and rituals focused on manifestation is best for this phase. divine feminine should shift focus into project planning and pull from naturally flowing creative energies at this time and capitalize on both tapped and untapped talents to accelerate growth and expansion in her life. she should use her creativity, charm, and imagination to her advantage to bring forth abundance in the world around her and profit off of romanticism. Both in romanticizing her life and in her relationships and appealing to others.
divine masculines role at this time: increase romantic energy in the connection and work towards heightening close interpersonal intimacy through action and positive affirmation. The tongue, the mouth, and the throat chakra are powerful at this time. Plan dates, appeal heavily to the love language, and create unfaltering closeness with the woman. create heaven in her reality to better house her angelic and transformative energy at this time. Lean further into your spirituality as you become one with her during this phase through manifestation, prayer, and further acknowledgment of her divinity and connection to the divine. through your harmony with her from a genuine and aligned place, you too will prosper. You can tap into her natural flow of creativity and expansive energy and leverage your own intentions through required openness and respect for the feminine and the feminine cycle, mutual support, shared focus, mutual intentions, and rituals that honor both energies. (tantric sex or alike included.)
phase three: The Ovulation Phase (days: 14-16) / "Summer" / Full Moon
physical symptoms: increased libido, cervical mucus changes (clear & stretchy), mild to intense cramping to help the release of egg.
emotional symptoms: increased confidence, more sociable, higher libido
hormonal changes: luteinizing hormone (produced by the pituitary gland) surge triggers ovulation, high estrogen, brief rise in testosterone.
spiritual meaning: often linked to the peak of summer and the full moon. This period in the menstrual cycle represents abundance, fertility (both literally & metaphorically), and connection. Seen often as a time of heightened energy, power and creativity.
themes: fertility, creation, peak power, connection to others, and potential.
spiritual practice & priority for divine feminine: an ideal time for socializing, connecting with others, or performing rituals focused on abundance, fertility (i.e. sacred baths and cleansing rituals, sex and physical intimacy or tantric practices, spiritual and ancestral rituals, etc.) and gratitude. Many also use this time for creative expression and celebrating their accomplishments as manifestations can be both conceived and reaped and harvested at this time. Divine feminine should be focused on obtaining personal success and self-fulfillment and pleasure at this time. This is a good time for her to capitalize on personal power and energy and transmute passion into energy to move forward and obtain desires. The ovulation phase is a good time for networking and collaborating on projects and progress forward. She will work well in groups with partners or a partner and will excel in learning and implementing lessons and information.
divine masculines role at this time: The divine masculine's duty at this time is to pour into divine feminine through presence and attentiveness, affirmation and acknowledgment, emotional and physical connection creative collaboration and support, physical support and care, respect, and space for self-expression and celebration of her divine feminine energy. divine masculine can offer his full, undivided attention and listen closely to divine feminines needs, desires, and dreams. being present in a time of high intuition and peak power allows him to further honor her wisdom and creativity but also move in the energy of co-creation and further manifestation for his life. spend quality time with divine feminine at this time and prioritize her and her energy. This is also a good time for divine masculine to encourage and provide access to self-care rituals whether they be a paid service or things he does himself. this is a good time for divine masculine to move forward in the emotional and physical realms through his connection to divine feminine much like his ability to co-create or bring prosperity to his life during the follicular phase. He should move forward in the energy of leadership, confidence, and assertiveness in both physical and emotional realms. passion and intimacy with the woman is heavy and significant at this time, pour into her and strengthen thyself. strengthen your outside support by moving in a similar energy by balancing strength and empathy while being open and flexible to others needs and addressing those needs and providing necessary output. Take divine feminine to events and environments where her sociable demeanor can bring you more money, partnerships, and support. Let her be the face of your power and influence. Flaunt, flaunt, flaunt. Show off and prioritize the feminine. Your prize is in your possession. Your sigil is within her. Let her double the success you share, multiply it, and bring it back home with the both of you. Your good luck charm and prosperity token is within the divine feminine. Carry her around in your pocket or leave her at home on the altar you built for her to relax and flourish.
phase four: The luteal phase (days: 16-28) / "Autumn" / Waning Moon
physical symptoms: bloating, mood swings, breast tenderness, fatigue, increased appetite, acne, irritability (PMS and PMDD symptoms)
emotional symptoms: irritability, mood swings, anxiety, sensitivity, depression, craving comfort
hormonal changes: high progesterone, estrogen decreases, hormone levels drop if pregnancy occurs.
spiritual meaning: it's a time of slowing down, turning inwards, and preparing for rest. It's a phase of reflection, harvesting lessons, and preparing for the upcoming menstrual cycle.
themes: harvest, reflection, inner work, slowing down, and transformation
spiritual practice & priority for divine feminine: this phase is ideal for introspection and releasing what no longer serves you much like the entirety of the menstrual cycle itself. grounding practices like yoga, journaling, shadow work and meditation are common spiritual practices at this time. Bask in all three elements in your top three or allow for those elements to be prominent in spaces of relaxation. This is a good time to assess accomplishments and plan for the future. Your job at this time and area of priority divine feminine should be focused on clear boundaries and clear communication and working through mental and emotional blockages that create disruption in your life and emotional body through inner work. We want to try our best to see through the lens of heightened emotion clearly as often times fear and anxiety based distortion is present within us during the luteal phase. Ask yourself what your frustration, fear, sadness, or other complex emotions right now mean to you, what is your body or intuition trying to tell you, and what do you need to communicate to others effectively to further yourself or obtain peace? Get clear and work through illusions and deception. A time like this beckons emotional warfare out of you, your perseverance is needed. prepare yourself and move in the energy of transformation and transition. Baggage will be shed and released throughout the menstrual cycle.
divine masculines role at this time: At this time divine masculine must ready himself to opposite the divine feminines energy to be proactive and create the ideal environment for rest and rebirth. Do your due diligence to create the safest, most abundant environment in all ways necessary. similar to how the male in nature may help build a nest and sing to create a soothing environment or may take over and build the nest entirely on his own to prepare for incoming change and laboring. invest both financially, spiritually, and energetically into creating the optimal environment. your job during the luteal phase is to curate a safe space, your job as divine feminines hard work begins and the menstrual cycle starts is to keep her warm and tend to her in the safe space you built and brought the resources to.
****
notes:
divine feminine if you are single take into consideration beginning to period track whether it be with a calendar or with an app while you're looking for a divine masculine or are in a position where you're looking for love. this way you already know and have known for quite a while when phases of your cycle begin and what takes place during these times.
another thing I really think is interesting is research on what foods are best eaten through different phases of the menstrual cycle, this can also help divine masculine better prepare for your cycle during the luteal phase while he gets things in order for you to enter a period of rest, there are various charts on these things on Pinterest, I could make another post about that specifically another time.
tantric sex practices or rituals or similar intentional intimacy practices could be really good to implement during high energetic phases of the menstrual cycle to help divine masculine tap into your energy that you're radiating and give him the privilege of co-creating a reality with you or aid in him further manifesting abundance in his life. (do be mindful of period sex and soul ties, if you do not intend for him to stay divine feminine keep this in mind.)
also do your job as a divine feminine to choose your partners wisely as his ability to do these things for you and move with you through these phases of your life are incredibly important especially in states of high power or even energetic vulnerability, I touched briefly on how important it is that divine feminine invest her time in relationships that are emotionally and spiritually safe as you are wide open if you make the wrong choice or give your power away.

Krittika and it’s Transformation
Krittika, much like Punarvasu and its renewal transformation, goes through a transformation of its own—a purification transformation. Krittika’s deity Agni represents the power of transformation, turning raw material (like offerings) into spiritual energy that connects to the spiritual and divine. Agni also represents fire, embodying its dual qualities: destructive and transformative, fire consumes but also purifies and energizes. As a purifier Agni removes impurities, both spiritual and physical. This is also a purifier of karma, symbolizing the destruction of old patterns to make way for new growth. It’s a constant cycle of transformation. Individuals of this Nakshatra are in a constant cycle of this type of growth: purification and transformation.
A lot of individuals of this nakshatra are naturally independent, a lone wolf going through some type of journey through their transformation. Jeon Jong-Seo (Krittika moon native) shows a lot of this nakshatra theme through her work. Let’s take a look to better understand the theme of this nakshatra and the natives.
This nakshatra rules over liberating others, seeking justice even if it means taking revenge because of the need to be responsible for their loved ones. These natives are highly loyal to the ones they love and care for, they value family and close relationships deeply. Natives of this nakshatra are also highly persistent individuals—in fact, they are known for their persistence. They are known to have the ability to achieve their goals so when they are locked-in, they are LOCKED-IN. They often have this “no nonsense” approach.
Jeon Jong-Seo’s character in Ballerina seeks revenge for a loved one that was taken from her. She is a highly skilled individual in combat and is trained with guns and knives. Krittika rules over knives and I believe other weapons as well as this nakshatra represents sharpness and to cut and separate. so she calculates a plan to infiltrate the gang that were messing with her friend. She fights everyone that is a part of the gang until she takes the leader down personally. Along the way she rescues a kid and finds out that this gang is linked to a trafficking ring. So she plans to get justice for not only her friend but the woman that were trafficked by this gang. Persistent and locked-in. Krittika natives tend to be intense in this aspect. Especially when seeking justice.
Being that this nakshatra is represented by the sheep as it is its yoni animal. I made the observation of this nakshatra being the complete opposite of the innocent sheep yoni. That it is anything but innocent, being the saying “a sheep in wolfs clothing”. Which is not a bad thing at all, these natives are resilient and determined individuals that are natural leaders. If anything, when I say that they are a “sheep in wolfs clothing” I mean that they are underestimated, people perceive them as prey instead of predator. They don’t realize that these natives are predators until it is too late or until they’ve realized that they’ve messed with or bullied the wrong person.
Throughout the movie Jeon Jong-Seo’s character is in a constant state of transformation, going through cycles of purification. She gets rid of several toxic individuals (the gang members to be exact). An at the end we see more of this purification with fire as she takes out the leader himself.
Furthermore, krittika natives are said to be quite resilient individuals. Burning away any illusions and consuming what is offered to them with intention. Having the ability to see what is in front of them and cut through any falsehood. This purification and transformation allow these individuals to heal past trauma, pain, and embrace renewal wholeheartedly.

Often associated with myths of rebirth and transformation, pomegranates hold an important place in witchcraft and magical practices. They are known for their rich symbolism and magical properties, which remain influential in modern spells and rituals. Pomegranates symbolize life, fertility, abundance, rebirth, and connection to the spiritual realm. Their seeds, often linked to cycles of death and renewal, make them powerful tools in rituals of self-discovery and spiritual growth. Pomegranates can be used as offerings, included in spells for prosperity or love, and also incorporated into kitchen magic.

The most famous myth about pomegranates comes from Greek mythology. Persephone, daughter of Demeter, was out picking flowers when she was kidnapped by Hades, the god of the Underworld. While in his realm, Persephone ate six pomegranate seeds, which tied her to the dark world forever. In her grief, Demeter caused the earth to wither, until the gods reached a compromise. Persephone would spend half the year with Hades, and the other half with Demeter. This myth explains the changing seasons: when Persephone is with her mother, the earth flourishes, but when she’s with Hades, the world falls into winter.

"The Orphic Mystery Cult" Illustrated by me
Whereas Hellenic Polytheism was a public belief system guided by civic duty and open to the general populace, The Mystery Cults, were secret organizations offering a more personal experience to its selected members such as initiation rites, esoteric spiritual knowledge, and salvation in the afterlife. Let’s look at a few famous movements and their worshipped gods and goddesses.
The most famous Mystery cult was the Eleusinian Mysteries which was centered around the Demeter and Persephone myth. Initiates, known as Mystai entered a sacred hall called the Telestrion, where they experienced or were shown a revelation referred to as the Epopteia. As sharing the secrets of the initiation ceremonies was punishable by death, very little knowledge of what initiates saw or experienced has survived.
The Dionysian Mysteries was a cult where initiates would drink wine, dance, and play music, ultimately reaching a frenzied trance state of ekstasis (ecstasy) by channeling a divine union with Dionysus, God of wine, fertility, festivities, and theater. This loss of inhibition into a wild, animalistic state gave followers an opportunity to liberate themselves from society’s social norms.
Orphic cults were centered around the myths and teachings of Orpheus, the most famous music lyre player of Greek myth who journeyed into the underworld, seeking his lost love, Eurydice. The philosophical beliefs and practices of the cult consisted of; purification rituals to cleanse one’s tainted soul, metempsychosis (reincarnation) and the path to escape this cycle, ascetic practices, such as abstaining from certain foods and other worldly pleasures, and teachings of secret, esoteric knowledge in regards to the salvation of the soul.

Slavic Magick

Slavic magick, also known as Rodnovery (Native Faith), Slavic Witchcraft, or Vedism, is a deeply ancestral, animistic, and nature-based practice rooted in the folklore, mythology, and spiritual traditions of the Slavic peoples of Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Czech Republic, etc.). It is a blend of pre-Christian paganism, folk magick, and shamanic traditions, honoring the spirits of nature, ancestors, and deities.
Core Beliefs in Slavic Magick
Worship of the Rod and Rozhanitsy (The Great Ancestors):
• Rod is the primordial god of fate, ancestry, and creation, representing the great cosmic order.
• The Rozhanitsy are ancestral spirits who determine the fates of newborns.
Animism & Nature Worship:
• Everything in nature is alive and sacred—rivers, trees, stones, and animals all contain spirits.
• Slavic magick involves working with land spirits (Domovoi, Leshy, Rusalka, etc.) to bring blessings or avoid misfortune.
Duality & Balance:
• Slavic spirituality embraces the harmony of opposites—life and death, light and darkness, masculine and feminine.
• The Zorya (Morning and Evening Stars) embody this balance, protecting cosmic order.
The Power of Words & Blessings (Zagovory):
• Spoken charms, incantations, and verbal spells (called Zagovory) hold immense power.
• Traditional blessings, protective words, and curses were often whispered over water, fire, or herbs.

Slavic Deities & Spirits in Magick
Major Slavic Deities:
• Perun – God of thunder, war, and justice (similar to Thor).
• Veles – God of the underworld, magick, wealth, and animals.
• Mokosh – Goddess of fate, fertility, water, and weaving.
• Svarog – Creator god of fire and the sky.
• Zorya – The twin goddesses of dawn and dusk, gatekeepers of the cosmos.
• Morana – Goddess of winter, death, and rebirth (associated with the burning of effigies in spring).
Slavic Household Spirits:
• Domovoi – Guardian spirit of the home; offerings keep him peaceful.
• Leshy – Woodland spirit, protector of the forest.
• Rusalka – Water spirit, sometimes benevolent, sometimes vengeful.
• Bannik – Bathhouse spirit, must be appeased with offerings of soap and water.
Ancestral Veneration & The Dead:
• Dziady is a ritual where food and offerings are left for departed ancestors.
• Ancestral spirits play an important role in guidance, protection, and revenge magick.
Tools & Sacred Items in Slavic Witchcraft
Herbs & Plant Magick:
• Mugwort (Chernobylnik) – Protection, divination, and connecting to spirits.
• St. John’s Wort (Ivan-da-Marya) – Wards off evil spirits.
• Rowan Berries (Riabina) – Used for protection charms.
• Birch Bark & Leaves – Associated with purity, new beginnings, and the goddess Mokosh.
Ritual Objects & Symbols:
• Rushnyk (Sacred Cloth) – Embroidered with protective symbols, used in blessings and rituals.
• Dolls (Motanka) – Handmade dolls used for protection, healing, and fertility spells.
• Sun Wheel (Kolovrat) – Symbol of Svarog and the cycle of life.
Sacred Water & Fire:
• Water from three different wells or rivers is used in purification rituals.
• Bonfires (Kupala Night Fire) cleanse and bring fertility and protection.

Slavic Magical Practices & Spells
Protective Magic & Amulets:
• Red thread charms protect against the evil eye (sglaz).
• Salt & bread offerings to spirits ensure household harmony.
• Burning juniper or mugwort cleanses a space of negative energy.
Love & Fertility Magick:
• On Ivan Kupala Night, young women place flower wreaths in the river to divine their future husbands.
• Honey & apple rituals are performed to bless marriages.
Curses & Baneful Magick:
• Burying a cursed item under a threshold binds misfortune to the victim.
• Mirror spells reflect harm back to an enemy.
• Zagovory incantations spoken over water can be used for both blessings and hexes.
Weather & Agricultural Magick:
• Burning effigies of Morana in spring banishes winter and invites fertility.
• Farmers would whisper to the earth before planting to ensure a bountiful harvest.
Ritual Calendar & Holy Days
• Maslenitsa (Spring Festival): A pagan Slavic celebration of renewal, featuring fire rituals, effigy burning, and feasts.
• Kupala Night (Summer Solstice): Bonfires, water rituals, and flower wreath divinations mark this festival of love, fertility, and purification.
• Dziady (Ancestor’s Night, Autumn): A time to honor the dead with feasts, candle rituals, and spirit offerings.
• Koliada (Winter Solstice): A festival of light marking the rebirth of the sun god Svarog.

Modern Slavic Witchcraft & Reconstruction
Slavic Pagan Revival (Rodnovery):
• Many practitioners today are reviving pre-Christian Slavic traditions.
• Groups such as Rodnovery, Slavic Heathens, and Folk Witches are keeping the ancient ways alive.
Slavic Witchcraft in Modern Practice:
• Some mix traditional Slavic beliefs with Wicca, Norse paganism, or folk magick.
• Ancestral veneration, nature magick, and oral traditions remain central.
Slavic Witchcraft & Divination:
• Tasseography (Tea Leaf Reading) is a common Slavic practice.
• Egg Cleansing (Osteomancy) detects and removes curses.
• Throwing bones, wax divination, and water scrying are still used.
How to Begin Practicing Slavic Magick
• Connect with Slavic Folklore & Myths
• Read fairy tales, mythology, and folk traditions from your Slavic ancestry.
• Honor the Spirits & Ancestors
• Start an ancestral altar with candles, bread, and personal heirlooms.
• Learn Slavic Symbols & Rituals
• Practice using Kolovrat, Rushnyk, and Motanka dolls in spells.
• Work with Slavic Deities or Nature Spirits
• Meditate with Perun, Veles, or Mokosh.
• Celebrate Slavic Pagan Festivals
• Observe Kupala Night, Koliada, and Dziady with traditional rituals.
Slavic magick is a rich, complex, and deeply ancestral path full of earth-based spirituality, protective magick, and powerful deities. Whether you're of Slavic descent or simply drawn to its mysticism, nature worship, and ancestral wisdom, this tradition offers a powerful way to connect with the spirits, honor the old ways, and walk a magickal path.
