Songs are in no particular order (other than the order I thought of them and added them to a Spotify playlist), and while hands in general were the focus when I initially added songs, I did think of CS when I played them back to finalize the list with what could also apply to CS in various situations/feelings/aus/etc, so it is still technically a CS gift. ;)

here’s a short article to read more about the fossil!

An amazing recent fossil discovery: a whole school of fish! A single slab of limestone from the Green River Formation in North America contained 259 fish of the extinct Erismatopterus levatus species. They lived between 56 to 34 million years ago.

The discovery is exciting because it is a rare case of fossils demonstrating behavior – in this case, that fish have gathered into shoals for millions of years.

CS Concert Series 2020 - “My Jolly Sailor Bold” (cover)

So I love Peter Hollens’s music a lot, and whenever I listen to his Pirates of the Caribbean medley, the part with “My Jolly Sailor Bold” always gets stuck in my head for days. So, I looked up the lyrics to the full song and recorded myself singing it (and it’s still stuck in my head), completely a cappella and in a single take, trying to keep to the tune as arranged in the PotC clip and assuming the Google lyrics are correct which sometimes they’re not, so it may not be totally right, but I liked how it turned out enough to post it.

I’m contributing this to @csconcertseries because I have the medley in my CS playlist on Spotify, and it’s just a generally pirate-y sea shanty. Playing on PotC’s use of the song, it could also work for a mer!CS au. (I actually captioned a siren!Emma aesthetic with some of the lyrics for CSSNS 2019.) I changed the names in this recording to Killian and Emma too. 🙂

(The image I’m using for the “album cover” is the lineart from a Killian Jones drawing I contributed to an O’Donocrew Fundraising event, but I colored it differently than the design submitted for that event.)
