Denizens of the Neath, the polls are in! And honeyed roses, are they fascinating! Of the two polls for favorite Neath faction, our winners are such!

Rubbery Men technically won the first and second poll with 22%

and the Bohemians barely eeked out a win over the urchins with 19%!

A point of clarification: though they may have undisputed victory against the other factions, the rubbery men did technically tie with "the other list/ WHAT men?/ not a delicious friend" option of their poll

But of course, the winners aren't what you came here for, you know in your heart of hearts which faction is most full of intrigue, and you know equally well that the other crooks and hoodlums of the Neath are, of course, allowed their incorrect opinions by the grace of the Bazaar.

So let us speak instead of that which brings us together in horrified fascination and pitying glee faster than a fresh batch of rubbery lumps: the losers bracket!!

In a piteous 3rd from last, with 0.8%: University- Summerset!

Not sure what exactly they're doing so much worse than Benthic (5.8), but I'm sure the dean will be having words with the staff about this.

In an unfortunate penultimate with 0.7%: Society!

To anyone paying attention, not too surprising an outcome, those Society tend to come off as a tad stuffed shirt. And besides! if exclusivity is your entire deal, an exclusive favorance makes sense.

And finally! Last and certainly least with a deserved 0%: Constables!

I'm going to have to do it via drive and that sucks because it doesn't give like a preview and stuff, and people don't usually follow drive links out of a bit of curiosity and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

like, besides me editing the thing because i wanted to be able to just listen to Aziraphale and Crowley and find specific bits easier, i thought that maybe it'll make one or two people interested in the radio drama (it's so good you guys)

i am frustrated but hey, at least the editing is done

I wanted this to be about evolutionary relationships as implied by the first addition so here's my thoughts on that:

the most likely thing would probably be something made with wood (or perhaps plant-based string/cloth?), but that's about as distantly related as you could get unless there's some prokaryote with a mechanical/aesthetic application i'm unaware of

less likely (i imagine) but more closely related would be something made with ungulate wool or leather

the most closely related thing i could imagine being plausible to have in an appliance would be rabbit wool. you're not gonna get any closer than that without having something derived from a primate (or uh. *checks wikipedia* a treeshrew or colugo)

i can't actually think of any specific items from my own home that include these materials and would be considered "appliances" though lol

So I was listening to the Hazbin Hotel soundtrack for the millionth time. And I listened to “Loser, Baby”, which got me thinking about how Husk sold his soul in a game of cards, and what exactly the deal for that game actually was.

Husk said he sold his soul to save his power. Meaning that, although he LOST the rights to his soul, he gets his overlord powers in exchange. Which makes it sound like the specifics of the deal weren’t “whoever wins gets the other’s soul”, especially since Alastor most likely didn’t have the rights to his soul to lose in the first place. Considering he got all this mysteriously awesome powers not long after appearing in Hell, I doubt he made his deal after Husk already lost his soul to him. There’s no telling what Alastor was supposed to lose if Husk had won, but I doubt he said Husk could have his soul even if the game was rigged in his favor. Considering he’s known for overpowering overlords and killing them, Alastor most likely has a method to the madness.

And then “Stayed Gone” played next in the shuffle, and it got me wondering what Alastor’s falling out with Vox was. Especially what Valentino could’ve meant by “you still pissed he almost beat you that time?”

So Alastor and Vox had some kind of fight or something that Alastor almost won. And Vox is absolutely furious about it still. Which, actually. Wait.

Did Alastor and Vox fall out because Alastor tried to get Vox’s soul? And almost won?

I am a firefox user now but there are non-aesthetic clunky/annoying things about mobile firefox that deterred me from using firefox for a while (though admittedly these concerns range from slightly to very niche):

lack of tab grouping feels clunky coming from a chromium-based browser

bookmarklets have some issues with not running reliably (although i've found that, now at least, the issue is solvable by adding a delay to the script, and iirc the issue is specifically the prompt/confirm/alert functions bc, i presume, the navigation ui prevents the dialog from being shown if it's not given time to close after the bookmarklet is selected)

file urls can't be accessed, which makes it a bit annoying to open local browser-based utilities
