ofc there's a disney channel ahh episode where they make their silly sorority and dionysus himself is a frat boy then the next episode sara gets torn apart by zombies and everyone DIES.

of course the episode before that there was a huge mystery on who kills everyone and it's the TALKING DEMON PUPPY.

Slasher AU with whoever you want?

This is the context

I did my Skykids for this one because I thought it fit!

Possibly the fastest I've ever made seven whole designs

Some yapping below because I had so much fun with this lmao

Sparrow and Dee already fitted the jock and popular girl vibes because I'd already made their characters like that, so that choice was easy (although the order of their death is the inverse of the canon storyline)

Cadro would also 100% be in a slasher and that boy is too stoner-y to EVER survive

Oz would be that guy that the audience is rooting for but who dies anyway. He's usually a pretty confident person but I made him scared here because it matches with what he's feeling around his canon death

Shiela, another easy choice. I already fitted her with all the same traits that typical final girls have

I had a few characters who I thought would fit the expositioner role, but Mirai made the most sense because in canon she's the future version of Natalie and Shiela interacts with her...once? I think.

And lastly. I had to think long and hard about which of my characters would fit the slasher role (and I had a funny backup planned in case there were none, so I really believe this fits).

Mykell and Arturo would both kill people, but both are too noble and up-their-own-asses about it to do it like this. Kylo and Morgan would also probably kill someone if they got the opportunity, but both are arsonists and in a more modern setting they'd probably default to firearms.

Ray, though. He's antisocial and hates most people, with an emphasis on the four characters who I listed to die. The runoff of Natalie's spirit-interacting power that goes to him makes him see flashbacks to the soldiers fighting each other, fighting krill, and so on when in the golden wasteland. This eventually makes him idolize the soldiers and want to be one of them, since he believes he's going to die anyway (at least, canon Ray does). He eventually lives to become an Elder though, and that makes him a lot bigger than a normal person.

And Mirai being the expositioner about him makes sense because in the canon storyline, she's the future version of Natalie, who is being raised by Ray. She knows him really well, she'd definitely be able to expose that information to the past versions of these people if she so desired (and if Resh let her, cough cough). Ray is the only Skykid I have who I fully, honestly believe would become a slasher. Nobody give that boy a machete.

He also has a soft spot for...almost solely Shiela, which is why it makes sense that AU Shiela would be the one person to escape him.

What didn't gel for you with the ritual? Was it how Delilah is still... kinda around? Or how the characters reacted?

The Delilah thing has me concerned but I felt it was an overall positive for Laudna, and I'm just curious of your thoughts!

oh I'm actually elated delilah is still around, if she were perma-gone I would've honestly had more problems with it 💀

not because it isn't a wonderful thing for laudna! it is! I'm so happy she has more control over her life and choices!! she deserves it so much!!

but. as someone deeply invested in that narrative. that its been built up for about 100 episodes (I believe it was 4, when delilah was first officially revealed?) and was (semi-)concluded in a ritual that took less than an hour to complete, that they discovered less than a full game ago, and that they proceeded to then not talk about at all in any significant way was deeply disappointing. a culmination that should have been this massive emotional upheaval fell overall flat to me bc of how rushed it felt.

But that's just me! and some of it was my own expectations and my own distaste for the pinion as a solution since well before they realized that's what it could be. but at least she's still there! so it's not truly over yet!

i have nowhere else to rant about this but i’m so fucking sick of people taking a media that was not originally in any live action sense (such as books) and pretending that race and ethnicity don’t matter.

if a media is SPECIFICALLY describing their character as brown, curly/coily haired, big nose, etc etc aka with ETHNIC FEATURES. and these features get completely ignored and/or erased in a live action. THAT FUCKING SUCKS.

IT SUCKS FOR THE CREATORS, IT SUCKS FOR THE CHARACTERS, AND IT SURE AS HELL FUCKING SUCKS FOR THE PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO ARE POC AND RARELY EVER GET TO SEE THEMSELVES REPRESENTED IN MEDIA IN A POSITIVE OR IMPORTANT LIGHT. WHO ARE ALWAYS DELEGATED TO BE BACKGROUND CHARACTERS WHOSE LIVES ARE NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THE WHITE GIRL ON THE COVER. WE DESERVE REPRESENTATION TOO.

ESPECIALLY in a creation as fucking political as THG. suzanne writes and publishes when she has shit to SAY. did you think that having some of the kindest, yet most impoverish and brutalized characters being a part of the blackest district in the entire series was a one off thing? that it wasn’t important??? did you think even the smallest class divide, such as having the merchant district be most white, blond, and light-eyes, while seam kids are usually darker with slightly ethnic features was simply a call for random diversity? NO. IT MATTERS.

District 11 fuckin matters. thats why its such a big deal in the books placing lou lou there after what happened to her. thats why the bread is such a big deal. i don’t care what you think.

im so actually sick by people, especially WHITE PEOPLE, yea im saying it. i’m sick of people dogging on everyone who expressed disappointment in louella & lou lou not being black for the movie. im sick of seeing and hearing and reading “oh well its gonna turn out the same anyway” and “her ethnicity has no impact on the story”. YES IT DOES. and no shit the story will be the same, but it is not insane to say that lou lou’s background makes it pack so much more punch in the books. and now it’s gone.

i don’t care if “she looks like JLAW what a smart choice”, because the point isn’t that katniss looks like a carbon copy of louella. the point is the things that surround her, the symbols and actions that make her who she is are reminiscent of all the people haymitch lost. louella wore braids, whether or not they have the same skin color or hair type would not take away the fact that katniss wearing a braid or two would still remind him of louella. AND LETS NOT FORGET. rue reminds katniss of prim, AND NO ONE QUESTIONED IT EVEN THOUGH THEY LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. its the same sentiment bro.

yea, JLAW and woody do not look how haymitch and katniss are described in the books either. people were sad about that, and honestly i’m STILL sad that katniss was not even slightly brown. especially as a main character. but no shit we got over it bc there’s nothing we can do, and they did a great job in there roles.

Okay ive always been in a taylor mood cause ttpd came out last week and there's a LOT of songs that fit chiffany on the album ('peter', 'the smallest man who ever lived', 'loml', 'my boy only breaks his favorite toys', 'i can fix him (no really i can)), but also, 'Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?' is SUCH a chucky song, and this part specifically is him and Dr. Mixter like completely.... im not wrong

Good Omens season 2 was awesome

but FUCK Amazon for completely failing at competently streaming ANYTHING. The ad they stuck at the beginning of each episode COMPLETELY failed to work with literally every other aspect of the video playback.

The captions were 30 seconds fast, because they started right away but the actual episode didn’t, so basically unusable. Thanks, I love not understanding a quarter of what everyone’s saying.

Even their fancy Skip Intro and Skip Outro were badly impacted. I had to lunge for my mouse to attempt to cancel the auto skip to next episode or close out the next episode and return to the previous episode because THE EPISODE WASN’T ACTUALLY DONE AND AT THE CREDITS YET BUT IT SKIPPED TO THE NEXT EPISODE ANYWAY. I found the setting to turn it off afterwards but WHY DID I HAVE TO DO THAT AT ALL?

How do you mess up basic streaming so badly??
