one thing i rly miss abt pre-streaming services shows is that for the majority of them, they were meant to be played in the background or as you were relaxing at the end of the day and didn't require like, full concentration. not that theres anything wrong with that, but like - i miss how, because a lot of the tv shows from the 90s and early 2000's were episodic, and because seasons were usually 24-28 eps long, you literally could have x files running on in the background as you were cooking or eating and you always knew what was going on. idk if that makes sense

Rainbow Quest art? From me!? It's more likely than you think

A sudden surge of inspiration came over me today. I've wanted to draw RQ art for so long, but I never had the motivation to until now

Since I've already drawn Galaxy Steve so many times, I wanted to draw someone else. I picked the First Curse since I really love his canon design!

Speaking of RQ characters, I finally decided on what my versions of the characters/species look like. No more redesigns, thank goodness!

I had already designed full ref sheets of all the different races and all back in 2022 (I posted them on Pinterest), so I just used them as reference and made a few minor changes

I believe they were also a part of my Feral AU? It's been such a long time that I've managed to forget everything related to it ToT. But maybe I should bring it back with a fresh coat of paint! We'll see

I am sosick right now. gebuinely I am so fevermaxxed. I was laying in my bed the other night half asleep covered in stomach fluids and my vision was blurred I briefly thought the red hat and jacket hanging in my closet looked like red hood

Thinking about that moment where Viktor let go of Sky's image (ghost?) and said he would miss their talks, and she looked him in the eye, smiled bitterly, and said 'No... You won't.'

That moment really hit when I watched it

Here's this perfect image of Sky that Viktor was holding up as a sort of guiding moral force to assure him he's doing the right thing, and when he finally decides he's confident enough in his choices that he can let go of her, that perfect image shatters with a very final rejection of everything he's become

It's both his own conscience finally being subsumed by his desperate attempt to escape suffering and sheer egotism, and Sky herself and what she represents turning her back on him

Sky never really got a chance to become her own person in the narrative, and is more of a symbol of people who end up being sacrificed for the sake of progress. Not even intentionally, but as a result of carelessness and tunnel vision.

Like, we knew that. That's old news. But in this final moment, we get to see a version of Sky that isn't the perfect martyr. All of the people she represents, who died for Hextech? They're not perfect martyrs. Viktor might be doing things for the right reasons or the wrong ones, but either way he's been using their image to console himself... without ever granting them the ability to disagree. To be a person in their own right.

He won't miss them because they were never real to him. Just more reasons he was right.

And hey! He is right! Because even in this final little fuck you to that unwilling martyrdom, Sky still isn't her own person! She's still just a narrative device!
