You are perceived as a threat therefor you must die#XY is a very interesting parallel to the YLLZ because they both meet the same fate: outsiders determining that they need to be killed#plus both did war crimes. I know it's easy to forget the YLLZ actually did do some of the things he was accused of (most wrong)#but wwx also has blood on his hands. He also sought revenge in pretty twisted ways. i swear my stepdad is so illogical AND stubborn it hurts
#okay so strap in coz this is a wild ride#tl;dr we have been without heat and warm water for years and i mean literal years#because he refuses to pay off some debt he built up with the company#because he feels unfairly treated (let's not get into this. it absolutely makes no sense) by the company#so instead of doing the logical step of growing some balls and admitting he made a mistake and paying off his shit#he's been looking for a new supplier all over but the deal IS#that he's been doing this with a couple of places before and people are hesitant to even make him any offers#and you'd think that learning about THAT at least now he'd be like. idk willing to just pay off his debt and be done with it#but you'd be WRONG#now he's looking to just have our entire heating system replaced for the teeny tiny price of 25000 bucks#mind you his debt isn't even a THIRD of that#and obviously he can't afford those 25000 bucks#so what's his next step now you might wonder?#well good thing you asked. his next step is going off on ME for not paying towards the new heating he wants#and now that that's not working for him guess what he did next?#that's right. he bought shit expensive 'space heaters' that are pretty much just small little boxes that you plug into an outlet#and he swears up and down that they're going to heat up our house (it's negative degrees outside)#(it's obviously not working)#and genuinely. all i can think of is how much money he shoved into trying to macgyver this house into a house with warm water and heating#and how he blew off ten thousands of bucks he got paid when he retired within the span of two weeks#when this debt could have been paid off ten times over by now#so now you might be thinking. okay tiago. why don't you move out#good question you see. my mom is disabled and reliant on someone who cares for her#something that he can't won't and shouldn't do because the last time he sorta kinda tried she almost died and we had to call an ambulance#she wouldn't eat a thing if i weren't there to cook. the house would fall into disrepair if i wouldn't do maintenance all around#i've set up (functioning) heat in some areas she occupies and i've gotten a boiler going so she at least has warm water#i'm paying off their bills to make sure he doesn't skip on paying any others. i'm buying groceries for them because again they wouldn't get#any for themselves#and finally. i've offered to pay off his debt so that we can finally live like normal fucking people do#and guess what. guess WHAT. he just got mad at me for not adding money to that 25000 bucks pool for that new fancy heating he wants

um not really relevant to anything but fuck insurance companies. specifically medical ones
#ed cetera#i don't like to rant about my personal life here because like. iiiiii just dont like it. but damn i need to yell into the void#for YEARS now. like literally since i was in elementary school. ive been dealing with a medical issue. but its gotten more frequent lately#the tldr is that i get pain in my abdomen and i have to sit down for longer than ive been up. because just sitting down a bit doesnt help#ive been ass at documenting my symptoms bc i thought id never get it diagnosed so while i think there are other symptoms i cant say for sure#but like. ive been going to the doctor to figure this out and she's pretty sure its a type of dysautonomia. although she has some other-#-theories#but since medical insurance companies hate ANYONE who might have something wrong with them.#i have to go through a fucking endoscopy and god knows how many other tests for things I don't have before i can get a tilt table test.#like stomach issues run in my family so ive been DREADING endoscopies and colonoscopies and so on and so forth.#mainly because you have to be put under anesthesia for them and get an iv. which are two things i hate#(and also ive refused to be put on anesthesia for a major surgery i had because i was that fucking terrified)#but like. YEAH SURE LET'S MAKE YOU GO THROUGH SOME REALLY INCONVENIENT AND TERRIBLE SHIT FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG#BEFORE YOU CAN FINALLY KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!!!!#and. this might sound stupid. because unfortunately i have something up with my brain that causes me to have specific thought processes#(another thing i probably won't figure out what it's being caused by for some years(#but like. i know a cane will help me. ill be able to use it to walk for slightly longer so i can sit down safely somewhere.#but I don't want to get one until i officially KNOW what i have. because what if its something that can be easily fixed.#like a new medication or change in habit or something#then i wont NEED it. and that makes me feel preemptive guilt#so. god knows how long ill be dealing with my symptoms before i can actually get myself a tool that will help#and god knows how long ill be waiting to get this figured out!!#anyways um. stepping down from my soapbox.#i am doing alright. just had to fill out some paperwork and got pissed about it

I also genuinely believe. If Illario had saw another path to First Talon without killing Lucanis he would have taken it. Illario does care about his family - that’s never changed. I read a post earlier that made a fantastic point but Illario was scoping out Lucanis at the end of Wigmaker. He was trying to see if his cousin might be willing to stand up for him and help him convince Caterina - but Lucanis very clearly wouldn’t. He would go with whatever Caterina decided and that was when Illario saw no other path.

going insane about Andred Gallifrey again.
he discovered the free time plot. he resolved to single-handedly stop the free time plot. he killed the guy responsible for the free time plot. He could've stopped there, he could've been the hero who saved the planet!!! If he'd just waited, he could've seen that without Torvald, there was no more free time movement on gallifrey!!
But he was convinced narvin was the traitor, but he didn't wait, but he took on another man's identity before his own personality had a chance to establish itself post-regeneration, because he was so committed to stopping the plot.
Did he ever realise that Narvin was innocent? That the reason he couldn't find the traitor among the other CIA opperatives was that he'd already taken them out? Or did he refuse to believe that? Did he refuse to accept that he was impersonating a dead man, destroying his life, being so cruel to Leela, for nothing at all? He knows too many classified CIA secrets to confess now. All he's got is carrying on, long after there stopped being an end goal, or any way out.

i think spot admires jack very deeply and looks up to him a lot but would rather be stabbed to death than ever say that out loud. btw. i think jack respects spot and everything that he's done more than almost anybody else in the world but would rather be set on fire than admit it. also.

I just rewatched The Winter Soldier for the nth time and it's just such an amazing movie. The perfection of the weapons designed to 'stop threats before they can happen' shooting themselves down because they, and the philosophy they symbolize, are the real threat, and that Captain America, who uses a shield instead of a weapon, leads the charge against them. It messes me up every time.
