Junior Woodchucks Guidebook, Guardians of the Lost Library by Don Rosa:

This multi storied library is FFXIV equivalent of the Library of Alexandria. Organised by mini robots called mammets, largest repository of written works in all of Hydaelyn and has its own restricted section that would make many people's toes curl from what lay inside.

You know how libraries these days are places for more than just books? This was one of these 500 years before it was cool. Here you can find old heretical texts, hot nun goss, secret passages, gay sex, delicious symbolism that represents the crumbling of an oppressive religious institution and increased education for the masses... what more could you ask for?

Mad Stan thinks libraries are just contributing to information overload, and the constant stream of All The Things is hurting people. Terry argues that it's not the information itself that's harmful, but rather the way of processing it, and that's the thing that needs to be addressed - not blowing up all the libraries.

Vault of Knowledge, Sky: Children of the Light:

NXX Feat FFXIV

(aka I am blasting my niche)

Apologize in advance for long text LOL

People who follow me before my new obsession aka Tears of Themis definitely know I keep using FFXIV quotes for my Jedi gifset (which I will willingly attest that it has some of the best writing in the media.) 

Anyway if I didn't make it my niche aka Tears of Themis x FFXIV that won't be me. So let's ramble about NXX members and what they will play (race and main jobs) and faves NPCs in the game and whatever popped up in my mind.

Main Character/Rosa

She was thinking of an idea for team bonding because they are friends and she wants to do something together

Luke proposed FFXIV because it's an MMO (so they all can play together) and has a good story.

She looked up and immediately agreed after seeing the glams of the various wol (warrior of light/playable character)l.

She was thinking of playing as a female miqo'te at first but she saw how jacked female roegadyn is, immediately steering to it with the speed of light.

She knows she wants to avoid tanks and healers because that is too much responsibility when she just wants to attack.

She ends up with arch/brd (archer/bard) for starters because 1) physical range means away from big mechanics 2) she just wants to shoot the boss from far.

Later end up becoming the main mch (machinist) because 1) cool gun 2) she is learning to shoot irl so it makes it more fun for her 3) she can PEW PEW in the game.

Always going blind to any dungeon, trial, and raid.

Because FFXIV can make you play all jobs if you will it, she tried it all eventually but she prefers being dps especially range dps

Sometimes she fights with people on forums because people keep saying mch is a useless job, and she will not stand for it!!!!

Likes to collect glams so she often drags NXX boys to farm a certain raid and dungeon to get variations.

Her favorites are Minfilia and Lyse. She really loves their characters.

She is also fond of Aymeric and G'raha. 

Used to dislike Emet-Selch but then she sobbed over him. After that, she will clown Emet-Selch whenever he shows up on the screen.

She loves Venat after Endwalker.

Artem Wing

He chose to play Elezen. He actually prefers duskwight elezen but seeing the psychiatrist stating he is going to play duskwight, he detracted from his choice because he doesn't want to ruin the mood.

Rosa casually mentioned isn't he want to play as duskwight because he was looking for the lore, and because Vyn has brain cells he put it together and gave Artem a dirty look. 

(It's just a feeling, but I think Artem in general is not sure where to put himself in a friend group especially when one of them previously had some kinda bad blood between them.)

They Have a Fun Talk™

Anyway in the end Artem still played as wildwood elezen but at least the air between the two is no longer silly and tense.

(The younger trio wanna know so badly what they talk about but neither is relenting)

Because Artem is Artem he is looking up the game stuff after the idea is proposed. He is not used to playing games all that much and feels the need to know how to do it correctly so he won't end up being a bother.

Funnily, he looked up the race lore and the twelve but managed to avoid spoilers because there is always a preface of warning when it reaches that territory of expansion spoilers.

He actually studies mechanics before they enter any dungeon, trial, or raid. 

Artem ended up playing tank as main because the younger trio preferred main dps and they needed a tank. Luke is an all-rounder but he avoids healer and tank roles when possible.

He chose gld/pld (gladiator/paladin). He studied the starter tank role and found that he would like to play that job the most.

He also played dps as either mch (because it feels right since he can use a gun) or blm aka black mage (he finds it fun to get a spot and to Not Move and deliver big damage)

Actually really into the story, and take notes while cutscenes play. 

(This left the other three confused while Rosa giggled to herself because she already knows it's his mockingbird self that is surfacing.)

Is actually a really good tank because he always does his rotation and mitigation correctly. Not without stumbles but he keeps improving to the point he can play tank with ease.

Multiple times saving a normal trial/raid because he got good mitigation and clemency (healing button) and finished the raid/trial or saving healer before dying so the healer can save the rest.

His opinion of Emet-Selch is sympathetic but ultimately the damage is already done, and his end is inevitable.

He really likes Aymeric. Find it admirable that the man is able to stay in his conviction even when the place and people he wants to protect would not always stand by him. He is glad to see Aymeric people in the corner no matter how few there are. Artem hopes that he could always stay true to his conviction too like Aymeric 

Is actually crying at Venat's famous monologue. (Flabbergasted the team)

His favorite scion is papalymo therefore it made him sad when he died.

Also loves watching countries' leaders growth, especially for Merlwylb and Nanamo.

Vyn Richter

He chose to play Duskwight because he finds them fascinating and also finds that they deserve better and should be given more fleshed-out lore.

He has a Fun Talk with Artem because they are friends now and Artem needs to understand that. (Albeit Vyn thought they would be enemies longer but they are friends now he needs to make it clear.)

(He would still annoy artem time by time but that's different vibes)

For him there was no other choice but play as a healer. This just makes sense to him because he in fact has an MD. Thank you very much, he would emulate this energy in a game too.

Vyn learned healing in the game very fast. 

His starter job is arc (arcanist) but immediately steers to sch (scholar) as soon as they get lvl 30, and he actually finds it funny when the fairy jank.

His main job is sge (sage) later on. It is interesting that the attack can heal, and he wants to master it.

He actually can play all healer but he finds whm (white mage) a bit mind-numbing, and while ast (astrologian) is fun with keeping up healing, cards, and attack he prefers something more reliable like sge.

He still plays because when there is a fairy jank, he finds it fun to play. It was also his first healer job, so he was kinda attached to it.

(And because he loves the barrier healer job. He will have to heal but he loves that he could mitigate or prevent the damages.)

He sometimes argues with Artem because of his use of clemency.

("Have more faith in your healer or play healer yourself, Artem." Vyn said in annoyance.

Artem sighed, "I canceled the clemency, Vyn.")

That said, sometimes he had to hand it to Artem because his decision to save or to mitigate the healer was usually top notch.

He only ever tells him good job and does not elaborate.

The only non-healer job he plays is rdm (red mage)

He sometimes studies the mechanic before entering the dungeon/trial/raid, but sometimes he trusts his ability enough to wing it. (He said 'I will wing it' usually when they all played in the same room instead of playing in their own place. He found it funny when Artem gave him an annoyed, yet fond look.)

That said, healing the younger trio is actually more stressful than healing Artem who plays tank.

Both Rosa and Marius play main range dps, and they are always somewhere in narnia (as in a far-off range of the heals) and Vyn either had to use a rescue button or adjust his range.

Vyn never does this to Rosa, but he sometimes uses the rescue button to drag Marius straight to the killing mechanic.

("IS THAT NECESSARY?"

Luke is a different kind of trouble for Vyn. He is always on range most of the time, but he is always trying to maintain uptime therefore sometimes he dies at the silliest mechanic.

Vyn, pulling a face: behave or else

(Never make your healer mad, folks)

His favorite scion ironically is Thancred.

He took a glance and saw a man full of contradictions and took it personally. He loves to psychoanalyze Thancred.

He actually hates Thancred. He is a Hater but Thancred is fun to analyze then he grows to like him as a character because the chara growth is unexpected and endearing.

He grows to love Thancred (bitter)

Vyn is also very fond of Cid. He can relate to Cid's story and how made the decision to step away from the Garlemald. Vyn hates Garlemald as soon as they are mentioned in the game.

He takes one glance at Ishgard and is immediately a Hater. Remind him too much of Svart. He thinks Aymeric is too soft and should take care of himself more instead of the ungrateful country.

He is pretty sympathetic to Yotsuyu albeit in the end, he knows there is no good end for her.

He hates Emet-Selch. 

He is very fond of Y'shtola because one sane person (in his opinion) and the sass along with intellectuals are fun to see.

He grows to like the twin.

He has a lot of Opinion™ on Venat but ultimately he could see it as a desperate gambit at the end of the world.

"This is why an ethical class is needed for scientists and the like. Also, Hermes needs therapy. His coping mechanism is to drag the world to hell."

Luke Pearce

He is the one who suggested FFXIV when Rosa suggested gaming as bonding time.

He is actually a veteran player but uses a new game+ mode so he can enjoy the game with them.

He has an alts which male sun seeker mi'qote but his main is a male midlander hyur.

He likes to say he plays all roles but he actually doesn't like healing as much even though he can do it very well and his habit as a melee player is always bleeding through when he is tanking which causes healers to get annoyed at him.

(He still gets healer annoyed at him as melee dps but he always delivers big damage so.)

His main from the beginning is pgl/mnk (pugilist/monk) and he is one of the few people who lament when the devs tried to remove some positionals. ("But that's the fun of playing monk!!!")

Is actually a melee jobs specialist, but his best damage has always been when he plays mnk.

Luke tried to not be silly for Vyn but his Positional Is Important™

("Sorry Vyn! But-

"-My positional is important."

"Yes." Embarrassed.

Vyn sighed.)

He is the one who calls out for extreme trials or savage raids.

He knows most mechanics, that's why he can clear things with ease, the only issue is that as melee, he is very greedy for more damage so all his dead usually is silly.

He knows the story is good, so he was looking forward to seeing all of them reacting to it.

Luke already predicted all of Rosa's possible reactions to it. There is something satisfying watching people reacting as expected in certain scenes

He is happy to know Marius also likes it, commenting on what he likes and also sobbing at some parts. He finds all of Vyn's comments either funny or very on point.

Artem was unexpected because Luke didn't expect the oldest to be very taken to the story, even taking notes and all. He provides thoughtful opinions that give him more insight into a game. Luke thought he already aced all the lore then there is Artem.

Luke is HELLA curious about what is written in the notes.

His favorite scion is G'raha, previously it was Minfilia. He likes their optimistic view, and he cried a lot over Minfilia's fate and G'raha's life during shadowbringer. Hope Punk all the way!!

He hates Emet-Selch's gut for a while but also pities him because Emet-Selch lost so many people he loves and Luke could understand the feeling.

The burden of memory, but he couldn't approve of the way Emet-Selch handled it either. It's complicated.

He is very fond of Hythlodaeus and thinks that kinds of people are needed in life. To not take life too seriously and enjoy it.

He loves Meteion and is very sad about her story. In the first playthrough to Endwalker, he cried at cutscenes before the Final Dungeon.

When he played the game again with NXX, he found he started to take Venat quotes to heart. 

He respects Venat as a character.

Marius Von Hagen

He was scrolling through the races and found the most perfect fit of the character he wanted. Male Viera.

He took forever designing his character to the point that Rosa and Vyn are actually bombing his dm to get faster. Luke uses his main, so he waited for them to finish and in the meantime does roulette for dungeon/trial/raid. Artem is already finished but also looking for mechanics and lore, and most gameplay. 

His starter job is arch/brd but it also became his main. His other DPS are dnc (dancer) and smn (summoner).

Marius always goes blind when doing dungeons/trials/raids. He and Rosa high-fived over this.

He and Rosa are also the most obsessed with glam therefore he always roped all of them to hunt ones. 

("Listen, I want this so badly, Artem!"

 "Me too! The phys ranger gear is so good in this one so please 🥹")

Both of them always roped Artem 1) Easier to convince (softie mode on) 2) Luke prefers to heal if he has to fill in either tank or healer 3) Vyn can be convinced but takes time.

Also the one who is most into PVP in FFXIV

"Killing people is so fun." About Frontline mode PVP

Payton almost had a heart attack hearing it out of context once. Marius has to explain it's about a game.

"C'mon let's play Rival Wing mode!!!" Marius every time they could have time to play together. Luke and he tries to outdo kills each other whenever they get on different sides.

He sometimes knew that he annoyed Vyn with his playstyle, but that only tempted him more. The result, ofc, the occasional dragged to killing mechanic.

("Worth it."

His favorite character is Guydelot. Rosa knows who Guydelot is because she also plays brd. The others find out of curiosity.

("He speaks to my soul you see."

"Being a drama queen?"

"Missy! How could you!")

His favorite scions are Alphinaud and Alisaie. He is really fond of their character growth. He also has a few things he relates to each twin (family legacy, finding his own path, unlearning some behavior) and he couldn't help but cheer for them. 

He loves Emet-Selch but will clown him whenever he is on screen.

("Making fascist empire to cope? Please be serious.")

Venat/Hydaelyn's last farewell made him really sad. 

He is also really curious about Artem's notes on FFXIV.

Also despite his first playthrough blunder, he is a really good brd. He always maintains his rotation if he doesn't die.

("I am a perfect support."

"Please fix your bad habit of going far off then.")

Miscellaneous

They sometimes end up using FFXIV as a reference for what they talked about and confuse people

Luke carries them through other contents such as Deep Dungeon.

Whenever Luke used the callout for the first time ex trial/savage raid, Artem was always confused about what even fisting the ground meant.

Vyn is such a good healer that it carries thru PVP 

Marius really loves giving ideas for group glams. Artem and Vyn used to resist it but now it is just a fact of life.

Rosa has tons of their gpose.

That’s what I have so far lmao. Anyone can agree or disagree, this is just my opinion after all but if this is actually a springboard for a fic where NXX finds out about Artem’s mockingbird persona? Hahaha… Unless? The NXX Idols AU is shoving guns to my temple now.

Rosa’s Most-Basic-of-Basic Gpose Tutorial

Hello, I’m Rosa! And I’m here to attempt to help those out there who are either new to using gpose, are confused/intimidated by it, or simply don’t know what gpose is.

To put it simply: gpose is short for Group Pose, a feature in FFXIV mainly used to change how your in-game screenshots look in various ways.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen people either struggle with learning how to utilize gpose for nice screenshots, or even just straight-up never realize it’s a thing that exists in FFXIV to begin with. And it results in so much ‘I suck at this’, ‘I can’t take pretty pictures like you guys’, etc.

And I’m here like, ‘YES. Yes you can!’

I know there are bigger and better tutorials out there, but I want to offer what I can in the easiest-to-understand way possible, since gpose is incredibly fun to tinker and experiment with once you get the basics down.

For the record, I will not be using any Reshade filters or mods for this. This is all 100% FFXIV gpose.

This tutorial also only contains PC keybinds, since I’m a PC player. If you’re a PS4 player, I recommend searching up the appropriate binds for your needs!

So without further ado, let’s start at the beginning! Pretty pictures abound!

1. Open gpose. 

Simply go to your chatbox, and type /gpose in there. Like so:

When you hit Enter, you’re now in what’s known as Camera Mode. This gives you more freedom to move the position of your camera than in regular game mode, and lets you access a handy-dandy control panel to fiddle with various settings. We’ll get to that in a moment.

(You can also access gpose in your Actions & Traits menu, found under Extras.)

If you used an emote, expression, or combat action before opening gpose, it will now be cycling over and over. The easiest way to reset this is to exit gpose, have your character /sit and then hop back up, and re-enter gpose.

If there is a certain emote/expression you want your character to be doing for your screenshot, you can do it before entering gpose OR access the list of emotes from the gpose control panel. Note that combat actions can only be performed before entering gpose.

2. Move the camera!

As mentioned, you can access a lot more camera angles now! Try using your W and S keys, for instance, and pull the camera way up..

Or down low!

Your A and D keys can also move the camera horizontally (left/right)!

First person also works in gpose, so hit your Home key to try it out!

3. The control panel, also known as Group Pose Settings.

It’s not visible when you open gpose, but it’s the key to using the feature to its fullest. Usually the default keybind to bring it up is R, but if that does nothing, hit the key/button that your Auto-Run is bound to. It’s bound to the same key.

There’s a lot of stuff here, I know. But it’s really not as scary and convoluted as it looks, and all the settings are labeled to give you an idea of what they do. I won’t go into every single setting; experimenting is half the fun, so don’t be afraid to press buttons and try things out! But I will point out the ones that will solve a lot of the ‘I don’t know how to do this’.

4. The Face Camera button.

This utilizes your character’s head-tracking; meaning that wherever you position your camera and toggle the button on (you’ll know it’s on by the border around the button), they will look at you!

You can also turn this on/off easily with the spacebar.

This toggle can be used in many ways to make your character look in a certain direction. Depending on what you have them doing, their whole body may turn during an emote/ability, or sometimes it’s just their eyes that move. It varies between emotes/actions.

5. Camera Position and Color Filter make a ton of difference alone.

The first slider for Camera Position allows you to zoom in and out a lot further than you normally can. (Try using your scroll function after adjusting the slider too!) This is how people get those nice close-ups!

The second slider is used to turn your view clockwise or counter-clockwise. This can also be done with the Q and E keys on your keyboard.

This slider is largely useful for artistic angles, and makes taking full-body shots a breeze!

Color Filter is just what it says! It’s a drop-down list, and there are many to choose from, so try ‘em out and see what you like! One I tend to favor is Bright 4, since it makes the colors far more vibrant.

6. Emotes and Expressions time!

Note the little running man icon on the left side of the controls, and click on it.

This will bring you to the Motion Settings panel. Here, you can:

Toggle your character walking/running/sprinting in place.

Access your emote window.

Toggle whether gpose picks up combat actions, or makes your character face someone you’re currently targetting outside gpose when the Face Camera button is off.

When you apply an emote, you can: 

Pause/unpause your character’s animations using the Disable/Enable All Motion button up top (bound to your 1 key). This also applies to the animations of others around you if they’re on your Friends List/in your FC or Party. This is HIGHLY useful for easy rapidfire pauses to get that pose just right. 

You can also use the button beside it, Disable/Enable Target Motion (bound to your 2 key) to adjust ONLY your character, or whoever you are currently controlling. If you have a friend with you, you can click on their character (or use the Tab key) and switch to their perspective!

But keep in mind, you cannot change someone else’s emotes/expressions.

Note that emotes and expressions can be applied at the same time! Try mixing and matching different ones together and see what kinds of poses you can create!

7. Light ‘er up!

The last thing I will touch on is lighting, which can be accessed by clicking on the lamp icon on the left.

Here we have Lighting Settings. And wouldn’t you know it, it turned to night-time when I briefly left gpose!

Moonlight is nice and all, but using gpose, we can use a maximum of 3 extra light sources to brighten things up a bit.

These buttons toggle each light source, which can be adjusted with the sliders below.

(Note that Lighting 1 can also be toggled with the lamp icon up top.)

The Types under each Lighting simply determine how big/bright that light’s radius is.

Type 1 is the smallest/dimmest and Type 3 is the largest/brightest.

Type 1 is ideal for lighting up just a small area, like around your character, and the other two will cover more of your character’s surroundings.

Each set of 3 sliders are simply the Red-Green-Blue values.

You can also choose where to put down your light sources, as well as how close or far they are by zooming in/out. So if we place one down on one side of Rosa..

And a slightly dimmer one on the other side..

Now we can see her lovely face again!

You can do a lot of neat things with lighting, and the effect will differ depending on things like your selected filter, location, weather, and time of day/night as well. It can completely change the mood of your environment, so experiment!

Or you can just torment your victim subject like me.

The possibilities are endless.

And those are what I consider the basics of gpose knowledge! There are other things to play with as well, but the majority of them are simply extras for personal preference. There’s no such thing as a ‘perfect’ way to do it, just play with things and see what strikes your fancy!

rambling thoughts on games i been playin

husband has always been a wow guy. he goes hardcore-- as much as one can when working a full-time job and being a supportive partner and excellent co-parent, anyway. he is GOOD. he knows so much and improves constantly and bro if it weren’t for the aforementioned obstacles homeboy could easily be on liquid or some other rwf team.

i grew up with wow-- fond memories of my dad logging in and instructing us to level his fishing/mining/herbalism while he was at work lmao. i’ve played it on and off and always enjoyed it-- it’s just impossible to do so when the kids are at certain stages. and that’s fine with me.

not fine with husband who misses gaming with me.

i started playing ffxiv in early 2021. was Super Done with wow and blizz as a whole because of Everything, and it wasn’t fun or getting better. this so-called ‘weeb game’ is fucking life changing and has made me howl with laughter and sob at my desk.

husband still views it as a ‘wow competitor’ and dislikes it, despite being a HUGE HUGE FF nerd. this guy plays randomizers of ffv and ffvi at least every other month, and our wedding invites had cecil and rosa sprites on em.

i can play ffxiv (have even done current content and raids) with one hand-- the other hand holding a baby. thank you, gaming mouse.

i’m a sucker for those sweet brown eyes tho and gave dragonflight a try a couple weeks ago. slowly going through the msq and doing every sidequest i find. really liking it so far. definitely need 2 hands to play tho. mentioned to husband that if he wanted to i can try raiding with his guild in a few months when the youngest is older (he is 19 months rn and into everything).

a) i love u bb, u know my limits and b) why are you around them, then? they make you upset, you have a meltdown at least once a month vowing to quit the guild because you don’t have fun when playing with them and feel heavily held back, also c) the whole reason you wanted me to play was to play with you????

like, wow is okay. but ffxiv has my heart. i gave in and re-subbed for the patch and the sheer joy that welled within me at seeing these characters i genuinely adore... brightened my mood for the whole day if not week.

i want to find a static or fc to just hang out in, once baby is older and i can focus on a game in my free time. i think it’d be chill. no Boys Club bullshit. just people having fun. i miss that community.

i wish he would give it a solid chance. he’d fucking love it, because i KNOW him and the stories and games he adores. he’d find friends there who wouldn’t make him feel like shit/ignore him when he’s online.

but i let my husband be himself, and he lets me be me. i just want him happy.

Each letter was finished off with her signature, each one held her heart in their words, each one was special to her, and she just hoped that they would understand. The story she started with all of them, the love she had and continued to have would never leave. In thinking back on the letters she had let time fly, it kept her mind from where she was going till she was finally there. Had it been a day? Had it been longer? She wasn’t sure. My wishlist for Dissidia NT (in order of game titles) (Spoiler warning for various games)

Preface: No inclusions of characters that were already playable in Dissidia 012 as there's a very good chance they'll come back (slightly worried about Laguna, but we need more daddy/son bonding time)

FFI: Princess Sarah. I don't think sticking in one of the six playable jobs would really fit since The Warrior of Light is supposed to be all of the playable characters at once (who knows how, but there ya go). Alternatively, Chaos could be bumped up to playable here as well.

FFII: Minwu. Shoot things and blow himself up. Good times.

FFIII: Xande. Again, similar situation with WoLly, throwing in another Job that appeared in III would be weird. I don't think Cid would work (I mean specifically III's Cid if that wasn't obvious. I only mention this since Cid is used in Theatrythm), but a strong case can be made for Xande. He can probably pull attacks from his FFXIV incarnation as well.

FFIV: Rosa or Zemus. Rosa could draw more heavily on her archer aspects, but I don't think that would capture her character very well. Zemus could draw upon the power of his four fiends and his powered up form like Garland does.

FFV: Faris or Galuf. Faris is more popular, but I, personally, have a stronger emotional connection to Galuf. They would probably play similarly to Bartz, but they would draw on different Jobs than him.

FFVI: Celes or Leo. Strong cases could be made for either (though I'm not familiar enough with FFVI to picture how they'd fight. Maybe they'd be a physical version of Terra - as in, they pause between attacks to passively build up a charge to use on their next attack)

FFVII: Aerith. Hey, she wasn't technically playable in Dissidia 012, so she counts. She'd probably be team support heavy, and I think she could really work in that regard.

FFVIII: Rinoa. HP attacks are her Angelo Limits. EX Skill is Angel Feather - I mean, it practically writes itself.

FFIX: Garnet "Dagger" or Vivi. I think either would do really well, though I think Vivi would more easily lend himself to a fighting game than Garnet, ironically. Vivi could be the "caster" version of Cloud (as in, he charges up his attacks to launch them [Terra has to stop attacking to charge]).

FFX: Auron. I mean, it's kinda obvious - popular character, samurai based attacks... There's not much to say here.

FFXI: (I don't know enough about this game FFFFFF-) I guess one of the villains? Shadow Lord? Eald'narche? *shrugs shoulders*

FFXII: LARSAAAA *thrown off of cliff* Okay, fine. Vayne. HP attacks are Bahamut attacks, EX Skill is the Bahamut firing on the stage. S'all good. Then there's also Ashe (you know, THE REAL HERO OF THE STORY) and Balthier (the self-proclaimed hero of the story).

FFXIII: Snow or Hope. I think Snow would lend himself better as a fighter since Snow has Commando and Ravager as two of his default roles (the third being Sentinel, a tank), while Hope only has Ravager as one of his default roles (the other two being Medic, a healer, and Synergist, a team buffer). However, Hope could be interesting as no other character uses a boomerang as a weapon. And, like Lighting, both would probably use their personal summons' attacks as their HP attacks.

FFXIV: HOLY SHIT, I WANT A SUMMONER ALPHINAUD LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. Unfortunately, I think he would have been more likely if we were still in the Heavensward timeframe since, although this is a fighting game, is does also act like an advertisement, meaning someone who's Stormblood related would likely have more of a shot. That means it would probably be Lyse (because more fanservice) or Zenos (because he's on the box BUT BY GOD HE'S SUCH A BORING VILLAIN UUUUUGH). Besides Alphinaud being an outside shot, I think Estini-hogg could be super interesting. Also, RED MAGE ALISAE WAT UUUUUUUUP!!

FFXV: (Again, I don't know enough about this game fuck meeeee) I mean, I guess Noctus and Ardyn?

Spinoffs, sequels, and etc: Zack (FFVII: CC, focuses on his EX skill granting him a random buff), Serah (FFXIII-2, also drawing upon Commando and Ravager for her skills with HP attacks instead being monster attacks), Layle (FFCC: TCB, gravity powers? Gravity powers), Ceodore (FFIV: TAY, his attacks would probably be his various Band actions while Awaken would be his EX skill or a buff he freely triggers), Agnes (Bravely Default, probably canceling attacks to make her next one stronger)

– ten  /  Inspiration for Muse: BOY, uh. Let’s see. Rosa was very very loosely inspired by another character of mine from WoW, Rosalinde. Development led in a very different direction between them, and now they’re almost nothing alike, lmao. She has bits of inspiration from anime characters like Usagi (Sailor Moon), Tohru (Fruits Basket), and Yona (Akatsuki no Yona). The kind-hearted ones with unyielding spirit suit her well.

Incidentally, her current IC circumstances kind of mirror Sixth Saint Astraea from Demon Souls as well, which I wasn’t familiar with until I saw tags on a reblog of one of my recent photosets. So that was cool to learn as well!

– eleven  /  Dream Job: That’s a bit of a sore spot, right there. There was a time I really wanted to pursue voice-acting, and I had even gotten started in that direction, enrolled in a community college and everything. But family circumstances and other things going on at the time prevented me from continuing. There are other things that really interest me too, like photography, cultural research, and archaeology, but there’s another slew of brick walls there, namely mental health and financial limitations. So I’m unsure what’s in my reach nowadays.

Pretty much if it’s not mentioned as a no go on my rules and it doesn’t make me or my rp partner uncomfortable, I’m up for it.

✧ HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE ?

Hmmmmmmm for me, I think the cutoff would be around 8 years. Usually. And that’s only if both characters are 18+ and human. If they’re 18+ and not human, then it depends.

✧ ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING ?:

Yes and no. I need to see the possibility of chemistry first and foremost. But honestly? If ship’s in line with my rules, I see chemistry, and I’m comfy about it, there’s pretty much a 90% chance I’ll ship it.

I’m more selective with shipping Neve and Sofia though bc they’re. so hard to ship with I swear. And with E’kusye, she doesn’t really understand what monogamous relationships are so?? there’s that.

Ummmmm. I don’t really ship Rosa and Serah with anyone aside from their canon love interests right now. Same with Lorcan. For Alya, there’s multiple! Israel/Alya with @piecesofacrow​, Zidane/Alya, Noctis/Alya and I’ve started shipping Aymeric/Alya thanks to playing FFXIV... honestly any ship with alya is just. Good Stuff.

Since I’m not caught up with the main story in FFXIV yet, I don’t have tooo many ideas for other possible ships with E’kusye right now, but the other possibilities that could work with plotting: Aymeric, Thancred and Y’shtola.

In terms of Neve.... hmmmmmm ngl ignis/neve sounds interesting but aside from that I’ve got nothing for either her or Sofia, pls do change my mind about that tho because they deserve happiness.
