Chimera Rising AU: Master Post

This is an AU based off of a mix of 2012 and Rise, but ultimately has its own story and lore. The turtles are chimeras because the experiments they underwent both before and after hatching, giving them a multitude of animal dna, along with some human dna. Beautiful black tile decorated the bottom half of the coffee shop, windows making it clear that the inside and the floor followed the same theme. A nice pastel yellow filled the other half of the walls. Nice dark oak chairs and tables decorated both the inside and out with seating. Quaint, and the theme matched with the name.

“Honey Bee’s, sounds more like they���re selling honey than coffee,” Donnie comments, his brothers ignoring his comment as they enter the empty cafe. Looking around expecting to see… well, anyone.

I have a self insert related thought-

Why aren’t there religious y/n’s?

I understand that it sounds cringe, and it kind of is, but I think I’m at a point in life where I want to see people struggle with religion in my media. Like the whole struggle of being in finding their own conflict through something harmless or in someone they care about and just watch it blossom into something that the doctrine they were raised with teaches may be either divine or demonic. I want that so much. (Specifically, if it’s Christian extremism slowly being broken down. I would advocate for other religions but I do not know much about the extremes.) The best part being when it’s neither- it’s just a fact of life. So I continue to munch on this thought, and I realized that I wanted it so badly in the TMNT fandom.

To my fellow, self shippers, think of the amount of angst and slow burn we could get out of this concept! Regardless of the interaction!!

You ain’t telling me that a person who is born and raised in the church meets one of the turtles and say “oh yeah, that’s completely normal.” Fuck no! If they’re in so deep that theyre “holier than thow” types they sure as shit are contemplating what the fuck is going on to the point of getting on their knees or paralyzed in prayer. Although I it would be fucking hilarious if Casey Jones bags someone, and immediately after they’re done the premarital sex- they’re having a revelation. And then Raphael or Michelangelo knocks on Casey’s bedroom window with a fucking Domino’s Pizza shouting about the preplanned movie night.

Or- if you’re into April, the same shit can go OR If your into the flavor of her with ninja or phycic powers- depending on how it is played out it could be glorious. I’m thinking friends to lovers for the me at school or on a job and you slowly develop April as a character and the person in question thinks oh my God this person is so perfect. I want nothing but the best for them I have feelings for them, they confess she’s into it. (Bonus points if it’s lesbianism btw) and things go good and then suddenly foot clan attacks or some shit. She knocks out her powers and just as the fights over and she’s nearly done the fucking turtle show up- GOD DAMN. Is the one to knock you off of the pedestal then these fuckers are!

I don’t know man I just really want someone to make this. I’m too tired to make it myself rn.

OKAY! so (im sorry unu) but Drax wont be a huge part in the story. Though in regards to who he is, he's kind of a carer for the general community. Ofc he still has his mystic abilities for alchemy and such, but he spends most his time studying plants and remedies.

He spends a lot of time around Splinter as they have known each other for a lifetime of years, and have become surprising friends regardless of the difference in "status" (though that's not really a thing here)

NOW AS FOR SPLINTER :D AHHHHH MY DARLING OLD MAN <3

He is mother nature himself, or father nature depending on how he's feeling lol. The heart and soul of the forest. Mans been keeping this show running for many centuries now. He created the guardians within the last few hundred of years (that will be explained more in a comic later) to help out as he finally begins to show signs of ageing (that, and he was a little lonely). Without him, all sources of natural life would collapse. A lot of responsibility for one rats shoulders, but him and his gentle heart keep it going through its cycle despite all odds.
