#basic rule of thumb is two year olds are expected to be able to use TWO words in a row.#some can do more. some can do less.#but please assume that if a child is under three they are not speaking thoughts more complex than 'I want that' or 'I am [sad/hungry/mad]'#Occassionally you'll hear a pretty complex thought like 'It's snowing outside!' but that's only certain kids#If they draw your attention to something it's usually just the word 'LOOK' and a bunch of pointing#If they're upset words go completely out the window and you'll just hear crying/screaming. possibly the word 'no' or 'Mama' or 'Daddy'#Kids tend to say 'mama' or 'daddy' even if those people aren't in the immediate area#Tho I have had the hilarious experience of hearing an angry kid loudly scream for his older sister#are there exceptions to the rule? yes of course#also: most kids understand social cues before they can actively participate in them#So for instance when I put on my coat they all start yelling 'Bye Maggie!' even if I am actively having a conversation#They also know that it's typical to greet someone when they come in the door but they don't know WHEN or HOW#which results in them just. Yelling your name at you when you come in the room. Sometimes they'll say 'MAGGIE HERE.'#When the phone rings they yell 'HELLO??' at it.

I’ve been reading some fanfiction and came to the conclusion that I need an AU where Jason meets his “siblings” way before they officially become part of the batfam. Well not only them, but all people that will become important to him in a future. And that somehow makes the timeline a bit more peaceful and family oriented but spoiler - he’s still dies. i was gonna say it's fun to go through old art and be like you know what that was pretty good, but i think it also inspires feelings of "could i even do that anymore." but clearly i was capable of coming up with these ideas and drawing them at some point so it can't be impossible.
two of these were fake editorial illustrations for articles i absolutely don't remember the topics of anymore, and the middle one is an illustration for a chapter from invisible cities. from 2016-17 I think.

#a n d going by past trends ch10’s preview should be up on monday midnight (jst)~~~~~~~~~~~~#since it’s released part by part online on line every 2 weeks#and since this is a spyfam week it means it’s also a kawaigomen week (<-keeps track of biweekly releases this way)#but really thoughhhh~~~~~~~ i wonder how long the chizuchan manga will go on for#i’d totally thought that it’s be 3 vols long but~~~~ we’re 9 chs in and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of the hallway fight#since the drama that happened so far all involved her jobs (in general) in some way (and not chizuchan as her present self at school)#it’d be very. *very* funny if they were all like ‘oh ya i fought with my bestie at school a few weeks back but we made up so all’s good now’#and basically turned the climax of the [redacted] anime into some noodle incident but it’s highly unlikely#since the only windows for that were during the ch6-8 [spoiler] and the short transition between ch8 and 9…#but it’s really reallyyyyyy unlikely since they weren’t wearing their usual maid outfits at the time…#but ig it’d be hilarious if this entire manga was just a huge fever dream a la ‘this is what would happen if chizuchan had work friends’#and it abruptly ends with chizuchan waking up and going ‘oh lol so renren was all just a dream… now then. gotta get kawaii for lxl concert~’#and *then* she turns to the person next to her in the audience of the front row at lxl live a n d#looks into the eyes of the literal guy of her dreams (renren) and that’s how the story ends#but i dunnooo~~~~~~~~ this story could go *anywhere* tbhhh. the sky’s the limit for this crackery. i want it to go on for at least 10 vols.#what if april fools kawaigomen wasn’t a lie. what if the manga ends with old lady chizuchan still being kawaii (ft. old man renren)#[kicks rock] i hope we get vol 3 some time soon… by my earliest estimation i think we could see it between. like. november(?) & december(?)#or maybe even late sep-oct if we’re *very* lucky…#maaaaaannnnnnnnn~~~~~~~~ i miss renren~~~~~~~#what do you think will happen first? vol 3 release or renren mv—

Description
James Montague was Yeoman Rider to George III before joining the stable of the Prince of Wales in 1778. He is shown in the Riding House at Buckingham House, built for George III (1763-6) and now incorporated into the Royal Mews. It must date from the time of its completion (1765-6).
Montague rides a grey horse, in profile to the right in a riding school, wearing a dark blue coat with gold trimming over a red waistcoat. To the right the flag of St George and the Red Ensign are suspended from posts; a red and beige drum is visible below the left post.
