New update 23/11/24

I can finally announce that *drumroll* chapter 2 is like 99% finished. There are a lot of things to report, so here is the most important stuff first:

Added the rest of the scenes to ch2 on every route

I, uh... made a decision that will probably be quite unpopular. Narmer can't be romanced by late teen MCs. I was trying to make it work, but the scene just felt... off. Until I realized I already wrote down the answer to the problem in this ask. So, yeah. Sorry about that. I adjusted the age warnings in the beginning of ch2 accordingly.

If you played the previous update, you'll notice that some of the previously greyed out choices disappeared. That's intentional because:

I felt like an extra scene in the tavern with Tabiry was unnecessary because you'll talk to her right after it anyway

I felt like it was unfair to the non-RO companions to appear together with the ROs where you have to choose between who you want to spend time with on the boat. Let's be honest here, everyone will choose the ROs anyway lmao. So I decided to put the non-RO scenes somewhere else in ch3 where you won't have to choose between them. If you are playing a no-romance route, then you'll just get the friend-only scenes anyway with the ROs.

Next week, I'm going to tidy up the code a bit, and put some more variations in the ch2 scenes because I noticed that some were lacking. I will also edit some scenes that I wasn't satisfied with.

After next week, the regular weekly updates will move to patreon (which isn't open yet but I'll work on that next week too). However, I will still update the public demo! 😌 I think maybe once a month, or when enough new content collects to make a nice hefty update.

The cogdemos website introduced local saves this week. That means that you don't have to be logged in to make saves anymore. In fact, you can make an infinite amount of saves like that because you can export them into your own device, and you can also restore them the same way!

I'm also starting to see the end of the move-in to the new apartment. I'm still elbow-deep in wall paint, but I think I can slowly return to my regular schedule.

Old saves in the game should work, as long as you saved before the new content (so around the time you step on the road to Abydos at the radish field).

Edit: NO I'M WRONG! Saves made in CH1 after 15th of Nov will work. CH2 saves will always tank. Sorry 💀💀💀

For your fan continuity, I have to know how Ultra Magnus fucked up.

In this continuity, Orion is lower class and is a miner while his older brother, Magnus, (they are brothers in this one) tries to earn as much money for him and lil Orion as he can. He manages to get a somewhat well paying job under Tyrest and becomes a rookie officer/enforcer. We all know how Tyrest is…

Ultra Magnus, however, is willing to do whatever job he is put through if it meant saving him and Orion from the slums and Orion out of his mining job. Well, there is an open spot in the council (the people that work directly under Sentinel, kinda like the Supreme Court) and Shockwave(pre-empurata) decided to run for the position, while also being of a lower class. They let him into the council, but reluctantly since Sentinel knew that riots would start if he didn’t. He had a plan though….he decided to frame Shockwave for a crime he didn’t commit so officials would be “forced” to remove him from office.

Who did they pick to arrest Shockwave, you ask? What about the poor rookie nobody who will roll over like a dog if you asked him? Magnus is fed a fake story about how Shockwave was caught stealing currency and government documents from the council. So, he acts as the officer he was and lays down the law.

However, as Shockwave is wrongfully held in a waiting cell, Magnus catches a private conversation with Tyrest, Sentinel, and Pharma(who was also a part of the council). Basically saying the plan is going smoothly and they were to make an example of the poor Senator. Now…Magnus catches onto what they were going to do to the innocent mech and the thing is…he was afraid. He was worried about the future, what would happen if he let Shockwave go or confronted the council. Would anything happen? Would he be fired? What would happen to ORION?? So, he was silent. His whole world view of “with enough hard work, people will listen to you” crumbled. In that moment he realized he never mattered to any of them class-wise. That he was used, and he fell for it.

Pharma preforms an empurata on Shockwave(which was technically illegal at this point in the story) and this causes many people to speculate, especially Megatron. After the arrest of Shockwave, he posts many essays about his thoughts on the matter. His writing begins to get popular and he then makes the first decepticons (which were around 7-10 people at this time). Megatron finds out through Orion(who wasn’t told about the false arrest) that Magnus did an arrest the same night Shockwave was taken in, and this acted as sort of Megatron’s full break in trust of officers and upper castes people, and more importantly the start of his loss of trust in Magnus and Orion by association.

What I tried to write Magnus as is sort of an opposite to Orion/Optimus. While Magnus would rather stay in the comfort of familiarity, not wanting to cause any unnecessary or inconvenient confrontation for him or his brother, Optimus would rather die than let others feel as if they never mattered. He was willing to fight the powers in charge and then Megatron in order for all to be equal.

Jack & Joker - Ep 7

This episode was extremely hard for me to watch, because it's like someone took the tropes I hate the most and decided to put them here one by one. Lack of communication, misunderstanding, saying something horrible about a loved one when don't mean it and they hear it, a love triangle, a love triangle with a girl in a BL series, noble sacrifice, noble, stupid and unnecessary sacrifice, being mean for a "noble" purpose to protect a loved one by rejecting them, heartbreaking fights, jealousy, the pain of rejection, suffering alone. I hate every single one of these things and a series that I like so, so much decided to throw them all into one episode, at once. So it's easy to imagine that I'm not having a good time 💀

So many bad things happened in this episode that I started crying at the end, it was just too much. What really depressed me was that many of these things were unnecessarily bad, and there was a kind of malice in them that was hard to watch on screen.

I had some understanding (not excuse - understanding) for Save in the last episode, but then I didn't know all the facts. Now I have only contempt for him, because he is simply stupid and cruel in what he does. Save didn't even arrange something specific for Hope, or even for himself, which is exceptionally stupid, since he literally sold his soul to the devil - as it turns out, for nothing. On top of that, he didn't have to include Joke in his schemes, my jaw just dropped when after everything he did to Jack and his grandma, he himself, without being asked, says to Boss that there is one more dude who can mess with your plans, like bitch fr? Save dangerously plays god, messing with people's lives (in grandma's case - her LITERAL life) and for whom, for his boyfriend who works for the mafia and openly says that he actually likes doing it and unlike Jack - is a real loan shark who beats people (his behavior radicalized Tattoo). Hope was beaten, which is a risk of the profession he does, he wasn't beaten up randomly on the street for money, or bullied at a regular job., ffs! But what Save will never earn my forgiveness for is that for the sake of unclear privileges for his boyfriend 1) he could've killed an innocent person 2) he destroys the lives - and I want to emphasize this - LITERALLY DESTROYS THE LIVES of 3 innocent people. And not that I like Rose, but it also affects her life. Thus, grandma, Jack, Joke and Rose are just pawns, a colateral damage in his plans, for his own personal gain.

SAVE IS LIKE TEE FROM DFF. Sorry, but just as I had no sympathy for those guys, I have no sympathy for Save. He doesn't have to do this, he doesn't have to do such cruel and plainly evil things, he doesn't have to be so zealous, such an "employee of the month doing 200% of the norm" lol. It's very interesting that Save, instead of persuading Hope to leave this job and even run away, since he's oh so worried about him, directs his efforts to protect him, by harming others - others who are in the same or worse situation as he is.

This whole marriage plot is so silly and soap opera and that's how I decided to treat it, so that I could still like this show 😅. Gods, it's just so stupid and when Jack initially didn't agree, I was so happy that finally, a voice of reason, and yet.. I don't know how Boss and Jack imagine doing this? I mean technically and.. just… generally???? How Jack plans to marry a woman he doesn't care about (with potential sex? children????) and at the same time follow Boss's orders, while being, you know, himself??? Not to mention that there is a whole ass person in this puzzle: Rose? And I'm not even mentioning Grandma, who is not stupid - how will she feel knowing that Jack literally sold himself for her health? From Jack's words in this episode, I gather that he is more or less aware of Joke's feelings. And I'm a little upset about the fact that Jack hurts him so much, knowing this. And his "noble motives" do not excuse him, because Jack leaves scorched earth behind him, destroys people around him and HIMSELF. And it will get even worse, because there will be no way out of this situation, in which he is digging himself deeper and deeper, which is what Joke was trying to tell him. Jack does something I particularly hate: he "sacrifices himself nobly" but he is really selfish in this sacrifice, because he doesn't ask if anyone actually wants his sacrifice it's The Sign all over again, fuck. And the fact that he does all this alone, officially, to protect his loved ones, shows that he really doesn't trust those close to him, that they can either help him, or that they could decide for themselves. And although I don't like Rose, Jack is ready to marry her without love, for his benefits, which is... suddenly not so noble, right Jack?

I know that all this is the law of slightly exaggerated TV romances, because if Jack had trusted Joke and his grandma and talked to them, maybe together they would have figured out another way to get money for her treatment, but then again, there wouldn't have been all this drama 🙄

But Jack didn't even try.

And he's really getting to the point where even if he wanted to stop, he wouldn't be able to, and even if he somehow managed to, there would be nothing to save, because everyone would be too hurt by him to forgive him. And he's so blinded by fear and the belief that he's doing the right thing that he doesn't even see it.

The approach of Save, Jack and Joke to situations when they feel they have no choice is very interesting. Save sacrifices others without hesitation, Jack sacrifices himself (consciously) and others (unconsciously), Joke sacrifices himself. Joke is truly selfless in all of this, because he is able to humiliate himself in front of his father for someone he cares about, work for pennies, but legally, as Jack wants, when things are very bad, he still feels duty towards the grandma - a person, who was kind to him. Whatever he does, he's alone in it, he doesn't involve others, any harm falls only on him. Apart from that, he blames himself for everything...

Despite everything that the series has shown in tis ep, and which I actively hate, I cannot but praise the series for a few things:

the actors gave it their all in this episode, especially in the micro-expressions on the faces of Jack, Joke and Save, when you can see that they are trying to hide what they are going through

as always, I have to praise the incredibly accurate socio-political-economic background of the series. That there is always a bigger shark in the pool, the total detachment from reality of the rich and that they do NOT WANT to know this reality and that they don't really care. How easily the poor fall into a spiral of debt, a system of dependency, passivity caused by constantly hitting a wall and helplessness in the face of constant adversity (how Jack did not even consider other methods of obtaining money, but went straight to Boss)

that in reality it's so easy to manipulate the poor, who ultimately harm themselves and each other, which is exploited by the elites. The elites know that it's enough to set people against each other and they will jump at each other's throats, doing all the dirty work for them, while they feast on exquisite dishes in beautiful interiors, in expensive clothes. Tattoo, Save, even Jack, do what is expected of them on their own, and their actions negatively affect… themselves and people like them. This is a very brutal and gloomy conclusion to this series, unfortunately also very realistic. Because the rich, the elites know that a divided, depressed society that lives in fear is easier to manipulata and control. Becasue if Jack, Joke, Tattoo, Hoy, Save and Hope joined forces, they would probably be able to oppose Boss, to come up with something for themselves. And so from the beginning we see how their various selfish actions throw themselves and others like them under the bus. Because really, as sad and awful as it may sound, neither Boss nor even Rose could have done anything if not for the significant "help" from Tattoo and Save

Finally, the most beautiful scene. I really appreciate the choice of shots in this scene, especially when only the hands are framed and the focus is on them, without showing the face… 💖

since i’ve hit level 8 on my all rogues run i want to finally yap about the builds i have going and how much fun they are. i’m having such a fun time. playing on honor difficulty custom with only single save disabled and camp cost adjusted (though reducing the camp cost has proven unnecessary i’ve long rested like 4 times)

salix (durge), swashbuckler: i’m going for a duellist rapier build (with the infernal rapier later and ultimately duellist’s prerogative),—luckily swashbuckler makes a rapier more viable than it was pre-patch 8, but i still wasn’t sure how to increase his damage output (aside from the very helpful bonus action attacks).

i gradually started accumulating thunder gear on him and once i got the drakethroat glaive to give to wyll it really came together. with the extra d4 thunder damage added to each rapier attack activating the gloves of belligerent skies, the thunder kit is extremely effective at stacking reverberation and landing dazed. the caustic band is just some added numbers for now, i might switch it out but i’m undecided as to what. i also gave him martial adept with pushing and disarming attacks so he can get some extra damage on a hit once in a while.

he’ll get the bhaalist armor in act 3 as well. he has expertise in all cha skills except performance and in sleight of hand because it’s convenient for the pc to be the lockpick.

wyll, thief: a version of my favorite hand crossbow build modified for rogue, sharpshooter and crossbow expert for effectiveness in melee range. this one still needs a lot of gear to come alive (hellfire hand crossbow and the +2 crossbow from jannath’s estate, plus it’ll ultimately be a critfish build—i’ll swap his weapon with lae’zel’s shortswords eventually), but it’s decently effective as is.

his biggest issue is actually landing shots, since he doesn’t have the risky ring, but graceful cloth to get his dex to 20 mitigates that somewhat, and he’ll get legacy of the masters in act 3. the deathstalker mantle gives him a boost there as well. he does also have the amulet of restoration in case i’m really desperate (the negative int mod makes it… not very effective, but he can get someone off the ground and still have a bonus action left). thief makes good use of the dual crossbows and it’s working well enough so far.

because of human versatility allowing perception proficiency, he’s my Perceiver—i gave him +3 wis and expertise in perception and survival. i also have the drakethroat glaive on him because being human gives him proficiency, but he does have 10 str, so the proficiency doesn’t really do much… his and lae’zel’s weapons will get shuffled around like i said

karlach, arcane trickster: this is like top 3 bg3 builds for me, it’s so much fun. there are three (3) two-handed/versatile finesse weapons in the game: phalar aluve and lareithan’s wrath (longswords), and the dancing breeze (glaive). she has phalar aluve currently but will switch to the dancing breeze in rivington.

the ability to wield a two-handed finesse weapon means great weapon master rogue is viable (sneak attack only applies to finesse weapons) and my god is it fun. gwm + booming blade (from arcane trickster) has a crazy damage output, and her zariel tiefling smites add an extra punch. she uses str instead of dex for attacks (though the dex gloves still get her to 18) and uses strength potions. additionally has the diadem of arcane synergy for an extra +3 damage from her int mod (usually using booming blade which counts as a condition) and the amulet of misty step/disintegrating night walkers for reliable reusable misty step so i can hoard her spell slots for… some reason. force of habit.

she also has a raven familiar for blindness. if i remember to summon it 💀. when i have to rely on scrolls, it’s usually her or salix casting spells (both +3 int). i don’t actually use her arcane trickster spells much, but chromatic orb has been useful for taking out scrying eyes, and hold person is always handy. longstrider is also a lifesaver. i do keep forgetting about the mage hand though i know you can do shenanigans with it. i also gave her sentinel which i have yet to really figure out how to maximize usage of but she has it

lae’zel, assassin: pretty standard titanstring archer build with strength potions, gloves of archery, and sharpshooter. it’s tried and true, it’s effective, it comes online in act 1 and stays that way for the rest of the game. she makes excellent use of arrows and generally is the one to initiate combat due to assassin being insane.

all of the party member choices were intentional based on abilities/proficiencies, and i chose lae’zel because she has medium armor proficiency from being a githyanki and can utilize the yuan-ti scale mail and later the armor of agility. the speedy lightfeet give her a couple extra points of damage via lightning charges if she uses a cunning action, which is nice, and the risky ring and marksmanship hat increase her accuracy. i do keep forgetting she has the amulet of branding but she can definitely do numbers with that

i did 3 paragraphs for everyone else but honestly lae’zel’s build is just really straightforward. for further feats/asi she’ll probably max out dex and take alert. uhhh titanstring bow is busted everyone try a titanstring build it’s fun

most fights are over within one or two rounds because of the sheer damage output but with certain fights i have to get creative (see: my banishment and polymorph scroll shenanigans on that lava elemental in grymforge)

this party does especially struggle with fights with a lot of enemies considering the only aoe damage they have without using scrolls comes from elemental arrows and karlach’s shatter. scrolls have been a big help though—ice storm is my all-time beloved (ask me about my ice sorc tempest cleric wet combo) and you can’t go wrong with fireball or glyph of warding (always funny to put enemies to sleep with a glyph). i am dreading that fucking shambling mound and its piercing immunity but i think i can do it

Drake fucking with Xaden has got to happen more often. I have this plot in my head, that Drake will just be "innocently" talking with Vi, and Vi knows what Drake is doing but plays along with it bc it annoys Xaden. Drake feels like that annoying older brother that just wants to fuck with the younger siblings in a good-natured way

Love me some DrakexMira moments... or well Drake staring at Mira and her not giving him the time of day. That's one of my favorite tropes ngl.

Xaden is so open and free with his smiles around Vi and I am equal parts disgusted and happy for him. I love and hate them your honor!!!!

Let me tell you, when I was screaming at poor Vi in canon when she skipped around in Warrick/Lyra's journals (I don't blame her, shes like what 21??? and stressed out her mind and everyone is also like in their early 21s) BUT I'm glad that in SITQ she started from the beginning.

The way I audibly GASPED when the guard was like "your mother is here". I was literally thinking a minute before, when the venin was threatening Violet, that theyre going to use her mother to lure her out (not that, that isn't in the realm of possibility) but I was worried for Liilth's health and safety after that threat. BUT MAMA SORRENGAIL IS BACK AND IM HERE FOR THE DRAMA.

(Disclaimer: i am ignoring every part i found stupid or unnecessary. Also i have a picture limit 😔)

Duke obviously met Batman/Wayne first but I’m skipping that. So he met Alfred secondly, in an uncharacteristic particular way. (As much as I’m confused as to why Alfred, someone who’s against Bruce being Batman would employ child soldiers himself, and I believe in the self motivated movement of children, this is technically canon).

Alfred made a deal with Duke to do vigilantism and he’d help him do it (he also promised to help find his parents but Duke managed it himself). Alfred saved WAR from an Owl assassin with a tank. WAR was very distrusting of being lead by a mysterious man, so they eventually stopped listening after they stopped a school shooting Alfred ordered not to. Eventually Duke reveals he figured out Alfred’s identity, linking back to Duke’s puzzle solving trait. Now the Robins: Dick’s first interaction with Duke is him chastises children wearing his symbol. Dikc, speaking like the truly privileged man he is, acts like WAR is childish for trying to help out. Now, is WAR irresponsible? Yes. Solid advice although ominous. It’s just extremely impersonal to their feelings and lives and motivations.

Since the first interaction Duke ever has with the other Robins, it was Damian that had a very particular dynamic. Damian hated the We Are Robins movement.

If you don’t already know, Damian’s primary characterization is his insistence that he must inherit his honour. One of primary reasons why he takes up the Robin mantle is because he believes it is his right to do so.

Another interesting dynamic was Jason’s and Tim’s reaction to WAR

Notably, Jason Todd was fully on board for WAR on the basis of it’s outside influence from Batman. Understandable considering Jason’s tense relationship from Batman, and his anti-hero status. Tim Dranke on the otherhand, doesn’t have any say to WAR’s existance, as his opinion is interrupted by mentioning Dick’s plot. Or more likely, he doesn’t have an opinion to comment on, which is why he only mentions facts of like the location of where the Robins are.

Again, Jason Todd is extremely supportive of WAR and Damian is not (inbred is a bit much 💀). But Tim Drake still insists on trying to better understand the WAR children, taking a neutral and outsider understanding of the situation. Tim does not support WAR immediately. In fact, despite Tim’s insistence to understand WAR, he never gets the chance to.

This the last and only time Tim ever even tries talking with WAR, during a sneak in. Apparently he couldn’t have done this during his time training the Robins, but doing it while working is fine. His terrible conversation starter gets interrupted, and that is the last and only time Drake ever tries connecting with WAR. Apparently monitoring their private lives was not enough information, all he knows is somebody can play the piano. So much for trying. (Tom King wrote this part tho, so I feel he was supposed to be the one to make it happen, which didn’t happen, so Tom did a horrible job). (I’m ignoring the scene where Tim downplays Izzy because Izzy was OOC).

Dami beat up the WAR members and agitated them into battle. Another show of Dami’s honor culture, but what was so fascinating was how Duke and the WARs fought back to prove themselves although not wishing to fight.

Skipping to when Dami and Duke get captured, they funnily enough get put into the same cage as Duke insults Dami in his mind while having a reasonable outer dialogue which i found fun.

Despite the weird court of owl part, Duke’s dialogue was a great way to finish off the tension between the official Robins and the WARs. Duke realizes how personal Robin is to Dami, how the symbol is not just about justice, but the ties to Batman it comes with. Y’know what Duke does? He cuts it off. He refuses to sacrifice himself to become a symbol.

They end off on good terms after that. With Dami reclaiming the title of Robin (and WAR’s disbandment), the conflict is gone. But I think it’s worth noting just how much Dami’s influence on Duke’s view of Robin might’ve been. Being Robin kinda sucks. So out of pity, Duke realizes Dami needs some loving support.

(Not a batfam kid but she was in here and I’m working by chronological order). Kate and Duke have a small interaction but they definitely met. Plus I think Duke was retconned to have known Luke through his dad and I think that’s a great addition.

Skips ahead where Jayson seems to train with Duke, their sass competitions tho 💀 Also, Jayson considers Duke as one of his brothers 😆

Classic Alfred advice talks

(You’ll notice that the writers decided to skip showing Duke’s development, this is why we need fanfiction thanks). Basically, Duke started hanging out with Cass for seemingly no reason, but they are a really fun dynamic. Plus Duke got to know Babs first through Cass. (I'm ignoring when Riko met Babs as batgirl and when Babs as batgirl defended WAR cheerfully).

Cass and Duke also train together (i really like the illustrator here aaaaaaaaa Duke and Cass are so cute here 🥺).

This storyline was bad but it really pushed Cass and Duke together as Cass was there when Duke got his new shadow powers and Duke was there when Shiva was being a jerk to Cass for some reason?? They coordinated attacks as a duo so that was nice. Plus, Duke thinks of Cass as his sis. (Is this specifically catered to me? Yeah, yeah…. I’m tots falling for the putting the minorities together thingy like a sucker, but themmmmmmmm!!! 🥹)

Duke and Kate actually teamed up in action once (offhandedly 😔) so that’s neat.

i'm sorry for my absence in posts and replies, life has just been hectic lately & ive been feeling crappy 😭

first of all, thank you very much for the response on the night drive story posts, as an avoidant writer it means a lot 🥺💖

i felt motivated to write more, so this weekend i worked on my Amir x Dani Smut Story #2. i was looking at all my cc projects and just feeling very bleugh about them so i decided to take a break from that.

i went thru my google drive and i realized i wrote this smut draft one year ago. my brain is fully rotted by my ocs at this point. since i can never make things simple for myself, i had to write an Angsty Emotional Plot for it as well. no they can't just get straight to fucking, that would be too easy. 🙄

i got about 50% of the scenes done (intro and foreplay). i'm really happy with how it's coming along because i got all hot and bothered while taking the pictures so i must be on the right path. i just have to do the rest of the scenes... and then do some post-editing and cutting unnecessary pics... then rewrite the script to fit the captions... 💀

i ended up fully decorating amir's sunset valley rental apartment so hopefully this week i can take some pictures and give you a tour of his place.

Ah yes, another overhated Zelda game that is in my top three. I’ve played this game on the switch and I will say, it’s so much better than the Wii, so if you haven’t played it yet, try to play it on the switch.

Anyways this is one of the few video games that have made me cry. The story is so good and it makes me SUPER emotional. The Link is probably one of the few Links with so much personality poured into him, his relationship with Zelda is super sweet and fun, and the characters and world of skyloft is incredible. The side quests for gratitude crystals is not only wholesome but gets you closer with the residents, so it feels like an island where you grew up with these people. There’s so much to do in this game and I just… AGH I adore it to DEATH.

Groose is easily one of the best characters in Zelda with his incredible development. He’s so complex and insecure about himself and seeing him work through his issues in the game and become good friends with Link is so incredibly wholesome to me. Impa is a strict but sexy awesome character who’s entire story and character is insane to me.

And Fi… she is such an overhated character. Link in this story is super animated and full of personality meanwhile Fi is cold and distant, and these two complement each other so well. And even though she seems to lack personality, she has some moments here and there where she’s being a character, and those moments are amazing. Her saying goodbye to Link affected me more than Midna because you could just feel the bittersweetness. This character is with you through every game with the master sword. And despite not feeling emotions, Fi was happy with Link, and she truly cared about him, just like he cares about her. And I sob everytime. I love Fi she’s one of my favorite companions ever and I wish she wasn’t hated on so much because she doesn’t deserve it.

And let’s not forget Ghirahim, one of my fav characters of all time. He’s such a fascinating and well written villain who rivals Link perfectly! And most bosses in this game are relatively easy to me. But Ghirahim is one of the few bosses that is very hard. He’s not one of those villains that talk a lot of crap and then die in five seconds. He’s a challenge! You’re definitely inexperienced and he’s clearly just toying with you in the beginning! He actually works hard against you in this game instead of sitting around, and the final battle with him, he is truly giving his all, regretting not killing you in the beginning. When he said “what are you?” To Link after being defeated is INCREDIBLE. There was actually a character analysis about him and Groose so I really can’t talk about their characters without talking for five years lol. But yeah, Ghirahim is a GOOD character. And he actually succeeds in what he’s doing! He revives his master! That’s how you know that he’s a genuine threat! Gosh he’s so good

Now for the flaws, alas. The sky isn’t the best? The loftwings are underutilized (Link’s loftwing isn’t even named :/), the world is very small and limited (except for Lanayru, they put all their good ideas into there fr), and there’s a lot of fluff. Like hunting down the song of the hero is just unnecessary to me. Faron is an idiot for not trusting you despite saving her life, then Eldin is just, completely forgettable, and Lanayru is fine. I just don’t like the song of the hero part that much. But of course when you unlock it, that cut scene is incredible.

Another thing is Demise. He sucks. He’s such a boring character to me and he’s way too easy as a final boss fight. Like you see Ghirahim giving his all and then demise just dies immediately 💀💀 but the final boss is the most cinematic boss fight ever so that def is a plus. And I also don’t like the introduction of Hylia. She makes the lore so much more boring and confusing and I wish she didn’t exist. Same thing with demise. Having them there was… a choice that was made and doesn’t answer any questions about Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Heck, Ganondorf really shouldn’t be included with them. Sure he’s a reoccurring villain, but he’s the same guy everytime, he’s never reincarnated like Link and Zelda. Unless you want to count that as Ganon but I don’t like that whole idea. Idk, it complicates the lore a bit and I can understand why people didn’t like that.

But otherwise a fantastic game that impacted me SO much.

I will never get commenting on how much stuff people get at the grocery store. I understand it's the person trying to make you laugh or start a conversation- but I dont know anyone who finds it funny and it also never leads to a conversation?? like last night i went grocery shopping and i didn't even get that much stuff but this lady looked at my cart and was like 'wow! save some for the rest of us.' and she didnt' even say it in a jokey tone so it made me feel even more awkward.

I have no problem with someone looking inside my cart and wondering where I got something or being like 'ooh i always wanted to try that!' but when it's just like 'damn you're getting a lot!!' I just don't quite get commenting that stuff to someone.

sounds like they should work at dutch bros 💀 some people are just horrible conversationalists. but agreed that commenting on how much food someone's getting is just unnecessary. i've had people be like "ooh having a party?" about my normal grocery haul and they're probably just begging for time to pass faster but i always get a little defensive lol

What is one scenario you would want to explore with your ocs in writing or art? Why?

See, now that's an interesting question because... funny truth is, I've explored everything I wanted already LMAO. Just not in English, and not in a fully polished writing format. That said, I do wanna slowly but surely transfer all of that into something more substantial! Be it a series of chronological one-shots detailing meaningful moments in all their stories, or something else. I definitely wanna improve my art skills, too (my current project is whipping out proper character sheets for them!), maybe dabble into creating animatics/comics for them one day. We'll see!

That said, I'll go over some of my favorite stuff I love to explore with them :) As always, lots of text bellow, I just can't keep things short.

(Edit: just Natasha alone made me write up like ~ 1.5k words, so I'll just leave her here, since I don't want this post to be... like, 10k words or something if I was to go over all of them 💀 That said, if you are interested in reading on some of my other oc's, you are definitely free to let me know! I always feel like I talk too much is all '^^)

With Natasha, since we're talking about their pov specifically, I'd say what I find the most interesting for her are the bootcamp arc and the vendetta arc. They are... sort of similar in what they mean for her development. The bootcamp arc has her struggling - and eventually overcoming - a lot of her inner fears and anxieties. She's left feeling isolated and weaker than most of her peers. Leon is giving her the cold shoulder or is outright ignoring her, Krauser makes his opinions on her potential (or lack there of) pretty clear with no sugarcoating, and she has a hard time connecting with anybody else.

She has no idea why Leon suddenly treats her like a total stranger. She was genuinely excited when she first saw him again, pretty eager to train together after their time together during the RC disaster, even if the circumstances... weren't ideal, to put it mildly. She's someone who tends to focus on the good side of things, even when the situation is looking pretty grim.

For Leon, though, while obviously it was a relief to know she survived, it was also like a punch to the gut. He has no real animosity or grudge against her, but...

He left her there, after all. It wasn't his fault, they both were so sure that she was going to die there, and neither of them could have known that she would be saved by pure lucky accident. She told him to leave her and go after Ada. But still, for Leon, the thought of him leaving her back there to die alone, scared, in pain, and cold, when she apparently could have been saved? It's just another horrible failure on his part among many during that cursed night.

Natasha is a walking reminder of his past mistakes, and he can't just let go of that. Not when it's all so raw and painful. Especially when he gets brief glimpses on the scar etched across her abdomen. So, he pulls away from her.

Natasha is the smallest character I have (physically speaking). She's short, petite, and looks fairly weak at first glance, especially at this point in time, when she doesn't have much experience under her belt. It's easy to underestimate her. She's going to deal with that her whole life, but it very much starts here. Krauser is not cruel to her on purpose, either. From his standpoint, she'll literally get killed off on her first assignment, be it her being too soft emotionally, or too weak physically. What's the point of having more unnecessary deaths? So, he does everything he can to either show her that she's not meant for this, or at least harden her just enough to keep her safe on the battlefield when that day comes.

Still, it's hard when you are constantly treated like an underdog. She works harder than most of her peers. Natasha was always a hard worker, she puts everything she has into anything she does, even to her detriment sometimes. Instead of resting, she goes and continues her training solo, sometimes exhausting herself to her very limit. It's frustrating. To be working twice, if not thrice as hard as everybody else, and only get half as far.

That's when she meets Chaewon. To say she was baffled to meet this tiny woman ruthlessly going through an obstacle course over and over again in the middle of the night, would be an understatement.

Chaewon may seem unapproachable at first, but she respects any hard worker, and she doesn't stand for any injustice she encounters. She's the first to help Natasha off the ground and scoff - not at her, no - but at those who put her into this position in the first place. She shouldn't have to run herself ragged. She shouldn't have to train alone on top of what she does already. And she definitely shouldn't have to be made to feel like a failure.

She's not fond of Krauser as her mentor, as you can probably see.

So, that's where their nightly secret training sessions begin. A helpful alliance that eventually turns into mutual feelings of affection. Chaewon is rough, but she's not judgemental. When Natasha stumbles, all she says is 'try again' instead of 'that's what I thought'. She has some tough love on her, like calling Natasha's tears over Leon's unexplained change 'dumb as hell', but it's followed up by a hug and an unexpected kiss to the crown of her head.

'...I don't want you with any guy stupid enough to ignore you, anyways.' - is what she says.

Truth is, all that Natasha needed was someone in her corner, someone who believed in her. One person may be a small number, but sometimes, that's all you need. And she does get better, significantly so. She may not be super strong or naturally skilled, but she is, as I said, a hard worker. And it pays off. She may not become the best of the best, but she can certainly hold her own just fine.

It's just a shame that Krauser never sees just how far she comes in the coming years. Some people take a little longer than others to bloom. And that's okay. That's the main thought behind this specific arc for her.

The Vendetta arc is a direct continuation of the RE6 arc before it, but RE6 focuses more on Leon and his feelings, while Vendetta has more development on her side, so I'm picking that one. By this point, these two have been close friends and work partners for years. Leon is... well, with no sugarcoating, he is the second most important person in her life by that point, after her mom. It's nothing bad or codependent, just a genuine friendship built on many mutual experiences. But hey, if I go into breaking down their entire dynamic, we'll be here forever: just know that they are very comfortable and at ease with each other by this point.

Vendetta arc is about her finally coming to accept and realize her feelings for him, as well as opening herself up to someone fully for the first time in a long while. Natasha wasn't there with Leon during that disastrous mission in DC. That's probably for the better, considering what happened, but she also wasn't there for the aftermath.

See, shortly after the events of RE6, she's been called in to work on multiple cases in collaboration with the BSAA. By this point, while she is not anywhere on the same level of importance as Leon is - certainly no friendships with the president there lol - she still made a name for herself, and she is a fairly respected agent in her own right. She's been growing increasingly doubtful of her position for a while now, and this brief but tumultuous experience of working with the BSAA has given her lots to think about.

The BSAA also has many people she cares about. She becomes very close friends with Chris, her and William have always had a close relationship after he saved her during the RC outbreak, and Aruna with Rebecca are a great pair of friends to her who help her feel more confident in her own skin.

You don't have that same sense of camaraderie working in the DSO.

She actually gets an official offer of transferring over to the BSAA headquarters shortly before the events of Vendetta unfold. With Chris Redfield himself recommending her. It's basically all she has ever wanted: to be acknowledged and respected for her hard work among people she cares about. But she's doubtful. I think you can guess why that is... her Vendetta arc is about her finally untangling all her complex feelings towards Leon, but it's also about her figuring out her place in the world.

Things happen a tad bit differently than they do in canon, and Patricio doesn't show up immediately. Rebecca actually calls in Natasha to show up when they fail to get much out of Leon during the first attempt at conversing with him (both because he's drunk off his ass, and because of the whole borderline fight that happens between him and Chris).

Natasha, who had no idea about the whole DC incident, and is very much in shock when she sees the state her partner is in. After all, he hasn't been this bad... ever! It's harrowing. And it immediately makes her confront just how much she actually cares for him. To the point where just seeing him the way he is makes her want to cry. It's... something she would rather not unpack for a while.

But she ends up basically living at his apartment for about a month after the events of Vendetta. She says it's to help him out around the house because of his broken arm, but... In reality, she just can't bring herself to part from him after seeing him at such a low point. And she's simultaneously trying to figure out whether she wants to take that offer with the BSAA or not. Leon is not aware of that one, though. He doesn't push back against it much. In Leon's case, his realization of 'oh shit, I love this woman', happened during RE6, so... his main issue is mainly trying to not make things weird.

....He makes things weird.

Granted, it was a long time coming, but come on! Having the person you're very much in love with, and who's also kind of one of your closest friends, sharing a living space with you like you're a married couple, is bound to end in some kind of accident. So, his patience runs out. He confronts her front and center on why she cares for him this much. Is he really just a friend to her? Or is there... something more there? Because there is for him. And, frankly, they are both far too old to play this 'will we/won't we' game.

Being put on the spot like that and pretty much hit over the head with your own feelings is not the best way to admit that you love someone. But it's what happens with Natasha. They end up sleeping together on that night, one hasty thing leading to another, and so she wakes up in the same bed with him the morning after, skin pressed to skin. (It was charmingly awkward, considering his arm, but hey, no first times are ever perfect)

It was also the night she came to her decision. Not the right one, when you consider all the circumstances. But she just couldn't bring herself to part from him. So, she chooses to reject the offer and stay in the DSO. For no reason other than for Leon's sake. It's not a good decision, as I've said prior, and it'll come back to bite her in the ass during DI. Let's just say that Leon is not going to be very happy when he finds out about her basically neglecting her own happiness for his sake.

But that's another chapter of their story I won't get in to, as this is... already very long LMAO

This is so random but I swear it's been eating away at my paranoid anxiety filled soul for the past two days 💀 (I accidentally made a long post. lots of swearing too because I'm so pissed about this)

I literally cannot put into words exactly how much I despise AI generated content. It's.. I dunno, offensive, rude, cruel, unnecessary, dumb, and makes me incredibly uncomfortable. A few years ago I wouldn't have even thought that I'd end up saying something like this about something that has to do with AI, considering that I really like robots. Quite frankly I feel like this is abuse of artifical intelligence. (Which makes me even more upset, oh my goodness these fuckers are so stupid I hate them-)

As someone who puts my heart into creating things—in general, not only art—I'm offended that people try to imitate the hard work of people like me. I'd call it cheap, but I think some of those programs they use are paid, but I guess they wouldn't care because they make shit money from it anyway. Ugh.

AI art, AI songs, AI writing, AI videos, AI whatever, really. Its soulless and I hate it because it feels like blasphemy. My art might be shit, my singing might be shit, but at least I put my heart into it. I'll be damned if people start making AI games or something, comeplete with AI "art" from AI "artists" and AI "music" so fucking beautiful fuck you stupid wannabes, why don't you just fucking learn how to use your heart—and your brain. What, is it impossible? I can't believe some people think soulless content is better that something made with passion and creativity.

Honestly, I feel bad for the AI programs that "AI artists" use for their nonsense. It's abuse, if you really think about it. The AI makes the art—not even aware that the data it's being trained by is stolen—and the person who literally just typed some words gets all the credit.

I'm uncomfortable looking for art nowadays. I miss the time when you could look for fanart and not have to second guess that it was made by someone who puts value in creating art, even if its in a really goofy way. I have a collection of fanart that I saved in before AI "art" broke loose on the internet, it just feels different knowing for sure that an artist made those than looking at the art that is circulating now. I didn't realize this was how things were going to turn out, and I wish I took the time to look for more art and artists back when we didn't have to sift through everything with a keen eye.

Now I'm scared that people will try to use my content for AI slop (or just steal my creations in general), maybe when I gain more reach online, or maybe even now since people hardly know me and it would be (maybe) impossible to trace back the original artist. If some wannbe tries training an AI model off of my stuff, I WILL make a fuss. Call me immature, but if they don't feel any remorse at all even after I've expressed how upset I am, they've got a problem and they're gonna get the shit talk from me. You've gotta be a loser to pick on someone who's creative but has trouble expressing themselves yet still tries anyway.

People are so fake, especially now, and I wish I didn't have to look for lies. They'll try to get to me eventually, as they'll try to get to everyone else as well. I hope I can scare them away, but bullies never take a disturbed person seriously. They'll just laugh about it.
