okayokayokay after getting really depressed i think i've figured out what i'm going to do... both my beautiful sweetie genius Anka and beautiful sweetie genius friend Snail think i should use what i have so far (50 pages!!) as part of a pitch packet. so i'm going to do that, and, i'm going to keep making it, because i think it's a story worth telling. what i'm also going to do, though, is slow my roll on that as much as i can and for sbox i'll instead make a shorter, dreamier, shaked n baked version of the story that's an AU of the canon proper, exploring similar things but really narrowing the focus and giving the characters different roles to play. i'm choosing this so that it functions almost as a pilot, a story in its own right, an OVA adaptation, if you will, that hopefully in its scope and length won't take away from the larger comic— hence obscuring and repurposing the characters/subject— as i mean to tell it in full.

i think... hope... i can do this. the challenge, aside from the obvious (time) is in not diminishing any of the nuance i've given the characters and their narratives and making a genuinely Less Good story lol. i want it to be sort of self-contained but i also want it to very intentionally have the dreamy unease of déjà vu. i want to compound that by letting it all fall away bleeding brightly into the incorporation of stuff from [nour story; prose version] to make it feel like this is all A Possibility.

My housemates and I finally ordered equipment for paranormal investigation and it arrives tomorrow! We've been wanting to do this and start a YouTube channel for it for years now. Once it gets here, we're gonna get everything working and go investigate a local place that we've been to multiple times for investigation. But this will be our first time having actual equipment.
