i think i made a post describing smth similar a while back (i cant for the life of me remember when, but i know it was before i saw that post from gooseworx, which i think is funny) but like. i dont think pomnis SUPER quick to attack. but shes not afraid to, and she is not above fighting dirty, she would do ANYTHING to get the upper hand

if shes fighting shes going to FIGHT and the same way she operates very much in a 'frantically doing anything she can as long as it means survival' sorta manner (i dont think shes Literally concerned about survival if she were to think about it but its the same mechanism) i imagine if someone makes her feel the need to fight shes gonna be fighting from a place of subtle 'i need to fight in order to survive,' which is probably the worst possible thing for another person to be up against

+ i have my own hc? theory? im not sure what itd be called, but i think the whole 'sharp teeth' thing is a like. effectively a visual shorthand on her models part of a fight response, which is why i think it didnt happen in ep 3 despite being in a frightening situation.... if she doesnt think she could win a fight i dont think it happens. but i dont think it needs a specific target (like in the pilot- i think shes physically ready to attack someone after seeing the computer, but theres no one there). if she feels like she needs to attack smth i think thats why it happens. so i think its funny that it happens in ep 2 with jax LMAOOOO

i absolutely hope we get to see it in the series itself... i imagine they wouldnt have shown it in the commercial w jax and pomni if it werent something shes willing to do in canon and im eagerly awaiting the moment she physically attacks him or literally anyone and does far more damage than anyone expects of her

(esp cus the commercial is 100% noncanon, and she was alone when she was freaking out in the pilot, and her being like that in ep 3 would have sadly been forgotten... so i dont know if anyone realizes the sheer amount of carnage shes capable of HAHA)

just had someone comment on a post I made talking about one of my characters with "uhh whats the gender? you literally can't be male and female. how on earth are people THIS confused in 2025. china did a number on you folks with tiktok" as if being both male and female hasn't existed in human history for thousands of years. as if you can't find plain evidence of people living as both a man and a woman at once in dozens of cultures across dozens of time periods. as if the modern term for it hasn't existed for a MINIMUM of 40 years. also I have never used tiktok in my life so I'm very baffled as to why she brought that up. hard to believe I know, but genderqueer people exist in real life too! not just online!

having sally yell at baby percy feels so fundamentally wrong. i didn't mind when she got frustrated with him in the pool because that was just one instance of sally losing her temper but now it's like oh. this is just how the show version of her is.

like. idk. one of sally's defining traits was that she never got mad at percy. that didn't mean she was weak. that was her strength. that she could pull through tough times by putting a smile on her face, so that she didn't scare percy, so that she could protect him.

i just feel like it would have been a much more well-defined scene if we got to see how sally manages to talk percy out of the car by. being nice?? coaxing him??? explaining the situation in a way he would understand instead of just saying "there are things i have to do that you don't understand" (if you say that to a kid they are 100% not going to listen to you bc. yeah they don't understand!! so you have to explain it in a way they WOULD understand!!)

if sally had already been dating smelly gabe at this point, she could have leveraged this. she could have put a funny spin on it and said "i'm just trying to get you away from smelly gabe's stinky gym shorts." if she wanted baby percy to not feel like she was abandoning him and separating him from the rest of society, she could have said "the kids in there are just like you." she could have given him a keepsake, to show she will always be with him. there are SO many ways the writers could have spun this and they just didn't. they went the easy way out.

all of these flashback scenes are painting a very unfortunate picture that percy didn't actually have a good relationship with his mom. and i know that's not the vibe the show is trying to go for, but they've got to understand!! that not everyone who's watched the show has the read the books! we don't all automatically know that sally and percy have the bestest mother-son relationship ever! if you only show sally being frustrated at baby percy, we start to think oh dang, maybe this whole time percy doesn't actually have a good relationship with his mom!

random headcanons my brain has served me about Tissaia:

she loves sweet things, including but not limited to any kind of chocolate (except bitter/black chocolate, which she actively dislikes).

she has OCD (supported by facts in the books)

takes great care of her hair.

her signature scent (whether it's her Chaos or just perfume is up to interpretation) is pine and bergamot. A really wintery scent.

she can hold her liquor, but once it gets to her head, she's so messy and hilarious.

she can do polymorphy, although unlike Philippa she does not prefer it. Her chosen form is an arctic fox.

she's asexual demiromantic. Has no gender preference, and she's sex-repulsed unless it's with someone she trusts very very much and is very close to, otherwise she hates the mere idea.

this is more of a general Aretuza headcanon, but all mages are required to master a physical weapon of their choice, to be able to defend themselves even if they can't use magic for whatever reason. Tissaia's chosen weapons is a collection of sleek throwing daggers that she conceals in her sleeves and straps around her thighs.

shoutout to the girl at jorvik stables who invited me to a group so i assumed we were going to do the group races and accepted, but then she started the show jumping race for some reason which i had already done but i didn't think much of it, just did it, and i beat her by quite a bit bc i am level 25 and she was level 15, so then i started the first group cross country race and felt bad bc she seemed younger so i did the whole race at a slower gallop and let her win and when we got back, she laughed at me, left the group, and ran away????

Rachel and Bianca do not deserve the insane amount of hate they get from the fandom. Rachel had a crush on a boy who was (kinda) showing signs that he was interested in her. Just because a random blonde girl that she barely even knew liked him too (and even then she backed off after they started dating) doesn't mean she was going to immediately back off. She had a crush and went for it. Afterwards she backed off. Does not deserve the hate. Bianca, for all she could remember, had to take care of Nico. Her life she remembered after the Lethe revolved around Nico's well-being. She instantly felt suffocated with that responsibility. Even when she had the boarding school she was in, they both had to dip because their lives were on the line. A place she could be separate from Nico was gone, so when she was met with another opportunity to live a life of her own and be her own person. she took it. Gods forbid she-a fucking 13 year old-have her own feelings too, right?

It pisses me off how both Rachel and Bianca are heavily disliked. You can criticize their actions, its not wrong to think of bianca's actions as selfish, but at the end of the day they're both teens and both were faced with opportunities that would benefit them. That alone doesn't mean they deserve to be dog shitted on.
