The only problem is that a series of mysteries keep getting in the way!

And lots more. I love this cast to bits.

Make deductions and decisions. Puzzles have multiple solutions, some of which may please your neighbours more than others.  What path will you choose? Who will you enlist to help you?

The Red-Headed League

After Watson’s statement in “A Scandal in Bohemia” that he had both married and settled in practice, the rest of the stories create a very contradictory entanglement of facts. The Doctor’s marital affairs are confusing, to say the least. In “The Five Orange Pips”, he refers to a wife, although the events take place before their first meeting. Mrs Watson is then granted a few occasional scenes but is more often conveniently out of the picture, and she disappears completely post-hiatus, although a later mention of an unnamed wife is made in the Holmes-penned “The Blanched Soldier”.

Watson’ medical activities are even more puzzling than any number of wives we choose to marry him to. In “The Stock Broker’s Clerk", he tells us he purchased a small practice shortly after his marriage that he dedicated himself to restore to its former glory, as by the time of the Boscombe Valley case he has a “fairly long list” of patients. But the events of the League take place shortly after, and he confesses his work “is never very absorbing”. The Doctor’s habit of pawning off his patients to his neighbour(s) when Holmes engages him on a case of interest surely did not help to retain them. Watson might have found, like his literary agent Dr Doyle, that it is difficult to pursue a career as a doctor while trying to gain success as a writer.

About that one Sherlock podcast you’ve drawn art of, do I need to listen to it in any particular order or is it like the books where it’s episodic in format?

I would say it’s similar to the books where they have adventures with multiple parts that are technically contained stories you can definitely enjoy! However I would recommend listening in order (or at least starting with the first case for intro reasons)! Definitely give it a listen if you have the time though!!! It’s a lot of fun :)

the only reason Tim Drake and Damian Wayne don't get along is because if they did the writers wouldn't be able to come up with a plot contrived enough for them to struggle with.

they would be the ultimate team if they could just work smoothly together.

My ultimate nemesis is the guy on the Beyblade Burst TVTropes page who consistently downplays Shu’s entire arc and instead decides that Lui wasn’t that bad, he just (checks notes) tried to gouge a kid’s eye out on live TV, no biggie. I swear to god, seeing this would have been enough to make younger me hate Lui’s guts by proxy.

Some examples of whatever the fuck this is:

Reducing Shu’s motivations to “Oh he just lost to Free and Lui and is mad about it and also the very blatant possession was just him pretending” is atrocious behavior and I hate that I share a fandom with this guy. I’ve been sitting on this hatred for months now and I almost forgot just how bad it was.

I don’t genuinely hate a single character in this show (aside from maybe Pax), but god, character development later in the series does not a goody-two-shoes make. I’m almost equally as mad on Lui’s behalf.

i would like to talk abt the WHAT EVEN WAS THAT of tewkesbury being shot???? by his grandmother???? this is, of course, is The Conclusion / missing puzzle piece / what-have-you to the original mystery AND YET it’s simply never addressed again. not to be “oh my blorbo” posting but that would be so insaneeeee to conceptualize trauma-wise and, moving forward, in building new relationships and distrust within existing ones. how do you recover from that? besides the obviously cracked ribs and sternum and whatnot lolZ
