Bayonetta 3: Viola Rewrite
(Just me screaming into the void on how I would fix Viola)
Part 1: Viola, but better
Long, long ago, there was nothing. Then there was Omne. Out of nothingness, she crafted around her a universe of Light, and the shadow of Darkness surrounding that light. She created every plant, animal, and angel. Such a grand act of creation was taxing, which lead to her eternal slumber. Without her divine will, the highest angels grew prideful and chose to rebel against her will. This rebellion lead to the first Armageddon, forever separating the world of Light from the World of Darkness. From the fires of that battle also came the World of Chaos, ruled by a feeble imitation of Omne's divine will called Æsir. The angels stayed in the Light, the humans were severed from reality in the profound World of Chaos, and the demons fell to Darkness... but not all of them. Half of the fallen ones clung to the World of Chaos. It was in the gaps of Æsir's order that these Fairies created worlds Twilight for themselves. And so it was that the Universe was split between the Trinity of Realities: Paradiso (Light), Inferno (Darkness), Purgatorio (Twilight), and Chaos.
Within every reality of the World of Chaos exists a prophecy that the union of Light and Dark would bring calamity to the World... but this is only the incomplete version of the true prophecy: the union of Light, Dark, and Twilight would signal the beginning of the end for the whole of existence...
(TLDR: Bayonetta having kids with Luka condemned the entire multiverse to destruction)
Ok so, Singularity is now Cernunnos, the King of the Winter Fairies and all of the Homunculi are called Unseelie now because they are all fairies now. Cern really wanted to take over the World of Chaos but Æsir stopped him from doing that... then main universe Bayonetta killed Æsir.
Seeing his chance, Cern rallied his his Fairies to wipe out the human race and take over. During his take over, Cern realized he could exponentially increase his power by killing and absorbing Bayonetta (who is still the Arch Eve in every universe). He also killed a lot of Lukas (who is still the Arch Adam in every universe) but didn't absorb his power because there was literally no need to (Luka is weak lol).
Cern comes across Viola's universe where he A) kills Jeanne, B) kills Luka, and C) kills Bayonetta in front of Viola. Instead of simply being unable to catch her, Cern allows Viola to run away because he sees her as simple "junk data" (In this version, Cern is still technologically advanced while still being a magical fairy).
Viola runs into main universe Bayo, and the two of them along with Jeanne set out to stop the Winter King. Along the way, Viola meets with Fortitudio and forms a "pact" with him in order to stop Cern from destroying Paradiso and Chaos (Fortitudio just wants to manipulate Viola lol).
After that the stuff with Strider happens and this causes to transform into her fairy form, but this time her fairy form has a Angel Wing and a Demon Wing. After the fight, Viola realizes that there must be more to herself and she wants to figure out what that is.
Viola then fights Strider for the last time in France and she ends up in Avalon Forest (the domain of the Spring Fairies). In the forest, Viola meets... Queen Mab! Instead of that stupid "conversation" with Lukaon, Queen Mab reveals to Viola that she is not only the princess of Purgatorio, but also the "Arch Seth Origin": a being that signals the beginning of the end of all things. This conversation bumbs Viola out a bit, so Queen Mab gives Viola Mab Dachi (Viola's starting Weapon is Shuraba now because I said so) and she makes a pact with Viola so they can fight the Winter King togather and save the multiverse.
The final boss fight with Singularity is basically the same as before, but instead of "Dark Eve" Viola fights "Dark Cernunnos" which is literally the same as Singularity but with a dark filter.
At the end of the game, Viola becomes Violetta and not Bayonetta because that's not who she is :)
Game play changes
Weapons: Shuraba > Mab Dachi (After French Chapters). Bull's Kiss is replaced by Pistols (the same thing as the shoot buttons pistols)
Demons: Cheshire <> Fortitudio (After Chinese chapters) <> Queen Mab (After the French chapters)
*Dodge button now functions the same way as Rodin's shield, activates witch time.
Part 2: My version of Viola
This version is a Bayojeanne kid because F you
Forget literally all of that old lore because it's gone now, Fairies don't exist. Luka is not the reincarnation of a magic fairy prince and he's not Arch Adam Origin. Strider is not real, he can't hurt you. Also in this version Luka is the one that goes on spy missions to rescue Sigurd which kills him.
This version of Viola is more like a fusion of Jeanne and Bayonetta (but leaning on Jeanne's side) personalities and appearances. In her universe, the war against Singularity happened years earlier and claimed Jeanne's life when she was a little girl. The Bayonetta from that universe wanted to keep Viola as far away from the fighting as possible, but Viola went against her orders and made a pact with Alrune so she could become a Umbra Witch.
From that point onward, the plot is still really samey: Singularity kills Viola's mom, so Viola escapes to the main universe and goes on a quest with our Bayonetta. This time around, Jeanne is adventuring along with them.
Instead of the Strider boss fights, Viola spars with Jeanne to prove that she is ready to be an Umbra Witch.
At the end of the game, Singularity stabs Luka in the back. Then he stabs Jeanne in the back. Then Bayo beats him up like three times. Then at the last second Jeanne swoops down and Bayo, Jeanne, and Viola all team up together to take down Singularity and Singularity calls the three of them "Arch Maiden, Mother, and Crone Origin".
Bayo summons that one demon that keeps killing everyone and it kills Bayo. Jeanne willingly goes into Inferno along with Bayo while leaving Viola behind.
Viola then fights Dark Eve, and claims the name Bayonetta!
Game play changes
Weapon: Alruna (Viola can also use all weapons in the game)
Demon: Alrune (Chesire is written out. Viola can control Alrune)
*Viola activates witch time by dodging she can only dodge two times in a row.
*She also has beast within (Cheetah/Raven/no bat within equivalent)

Bayonetta 3 question

Was G.O.R.C made by Singularity?
I feel like the Gobal Obersvation and Research Center is a confusing thing that was just added without much thought.
I have to assume their not the same as whoever made singularity from the alphaverse.
What if?
I was wondering what G.O.R.C it would be like they always were a thing keeping track on the destruction the angels cause in bayo 1 and 2 with building.
Would they figure out the gateways and what happened in space with bayonetta 1?

Currently playing through Bayonetta 3, no spoilers in replies please, but damn the Egypt world got to me.
Was hoping that since Bayonetta got the Chaos Gear before the boss that the Egyptian versions would live, and then that Egyptian Bayonetta might survive because Bayonetta did the super demon summon already and they built a little arc around her and she has a contrasting design with main Bayonetta. Nope, the formula sticks.
I found the glimpses of Chinese and Egyptian Bayonetta's worlds interesting, made me want to learn more about them and feel disappointed they got erased just like that. Bayonetta as a general is an interesting prospect for example, would have loved to really see how that distinguished her from the other Bayonettas.
At the very least it helps me feel motivated to use the other weapons in the game, as a way of honoring the other Bayos and continuing the fight for them. Don't think I ever really bothered with the other weapons in the first game.
#Bayonetta 3#Bayonetta 3 spoilers#The spider demon is one of my favorites so that makes up for barely getting anything on the Tokyo world#Also putting it down now that I think Singularity is either Alphaverse Luka or Sigurd. Maybe Alphaverse Baldur. Money is on Luka.

The Best Games of 2010 | Only Bangers
I started this project back in March by covering the year 2004 with the commitment to doing 15 years worth of top 10 lists. It's been super fun and I'll stick with that commitment, but I'm starting to see some trends or predictability in the formula. I guess that can be expected from an era of games that thrived on annual releases, but I fear the redundancy is making the content bland. Maybe I'm overthinking it, and even if it is a problem, as I get closer to the present day the problem will likely fix itself. We'll see.
As always, this list is written as if it were published in 2010, so there will be no references to future games, better sequels, etc. Imagine this was released by your favorite gaming website and that you care about my opinion, :).

#10 - Vanquish
Vanquish is a flashy, high-energy, action shooter dripping with style. The smooth combat and stunning visuals make me wonder why it wasn't pushed harder from a marketing standpoint. Sure, the story and characters feel like an off-brand sci-fi series, but being original and not a licenced piece should be praised, not cause to ignore. Right? Who knows, find a copy of Vanquish and play it, it's rad.

#9 - Singularity
It's easy to look at Singularity as a high-quality Bioshock rip-off and in many ways that is what it is, but just like with every creative endeavor, imitation is a form of flattery. The game's Russian setting and fancy time-bending mechanic give the whole experience an old nostalgic Cold War feel. Raven Software put together a story campaign, mechanic, and setting that are all well-tread territory, yet created a wholly unique experience. Much of the games' pitch feels like it came from an improv troop's scenes from a hat. It shouldn't work but turns out to be more than the sum of its parts.

#8 - Alan Wake
Alan Wake, the game, is ambitious. It has truly revolutionary lighting mechanics and mind-bending level design, but stumbles is some of the more traditional areas like acting performances and control fidelity. Despite its shortcomings, Alan Wake gets a lot more right than it gets wrong. Remedy's tongue-in-cheek FMV sections and their complete commitment to the "Twin Peaks, but a video game" bit, make this game well worth your time. If you find yourself getting frustrated with it, put it down and come back to it, it's not hard, it's just kinda janky.

#7 - Mass Effect 2
I did not play the first Mass Effect. I heard it was good, but seeing the sheer number of RPG elements in the gameplay really turned me off. Mass Effect 2 is still an RPG, but Bioware has done a great job of video-gaming it up. It feels like a traditional shooter, and any under-the-hood dice rolls are obscured enough to leave the player feeling like they have complete agency. What it does best is empower you to step in the shoes of a space hero who is building a team, and in that process consequences that truly matter are around every corner.

#6 - Limbo
From Playdead, Limbo is a stunning and brutal 2D platformer with a visual style unlike anything you've ever seen. Minimalistic, raw, and dreamlike, Limbo immerses you in a vibe that holistically swallows you. It seems silly to be frightened by a game so simply animated, but the first time a spider enters the frame and your character is brutally murdered, I'd argue is the scariest thing I've experienced in years. I play many "Indie" games, yet they aren't often on my list. Limbo is an exception I can stand firmly behind even if the player's time with it will be short.

#5 - Darksiders
Darksiders, like Vanquish feels like a bootleg version of a classic already-established franchise. Part God of War, part Devil May Cry, and part Legend of Zelda, Darksiders wears its influences on its sleeve. On its own it's not better than any one of those series, but with the setting pulling directly from the biblical tale of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, a nice niche was found and a truly original premise was born.

#4 - Bayonetta
Bayonetta is the second Platinum Games title to hit this list this year and while the first, Vanquish, had style and speed, Bayonetta has more of basically everything. More style, more attitude, more boobs, more hair, more sass, more combos, more gun-strapped heels, more everything. It's an unapologetically Japanese thrill ride, that draws heavily from action fighters like Devil May Cry. At first glance, the absurdity of the characters and over-the-top action seem cheesy, but once you buy into the gimmick it's selling you, there's next to nothing wrong with this modern beat-em-up.

#3 - Super Mario Galaxy 2
Landing in the same spot on this list as its predecessor, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is every bit as charming and eye-popping as the original. The gravity mechanics have gotten bigger and more brain-splitting and this game that started as an expansion on the original turned out to be a robust surprise second entry in a vibrant Mario series. To be fair, I 100% missed having a homeworld to return to, but adding Yoshi as a rideable power-up helped ease the loss.

#2 - Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Brotherhood also places on this list in the same spot as its predecessor AC2. In nearly every way, Brotherhood is a measurable upgrade from last year's game. From the more engaging story to the secondary brotherhood mechanics, this game is the game the original AC promised us back in 2007. Desmond's modern-day plot is coming to a head and getting to continue Altiar's 12th-century shenanigans helps establish Assassin's Creed as the newest major player in the annualized sequel game.

#1 - Rock Band 3
No surprise here, Sergio loves Rock Band. Rock Band 2 was #1 in 2007 and with so many new features and ideas crammed into it, Rock Band 3 is the most compelling plastic instrument game to date. While Guitar Hero has turned into an annual track factory, the team at Harmonix has found compelling ways to take the familiar formula and add meaningful layers of change. Pro mode is cool, and the keyboard is neat, but the real winner here is 3-part harmonies. Your Rock Band just exploded from 4 players to 7 and that's not even taking into consideration online mode. Rock Band has become the premiere video game music platform, but one has to assume a plateau is fast approaching. How many plastic instruments can you flood the market with before players get bored? Only time will tell.
Notable Omissions.
Red Dead Redemption - I played Red Dead and I hated Red Dead. I don't know if it was the clumsy controls or the fact that I really hate Westerns, but I vividly remember being super bummed when I crossed the river into Mexico and realized I still have too much game left.
Fallout: New Vegas - As I've said many times, I'm not an RPG fan.
Call of Duty: Black Ops - This is another CoD game that is squarely in the 11 spot.
God of War III - A fine addition to the God of War series, just not standout enough to make the list.
Halo: Reach - See description of GoW3.
That's it!
Cheers

I was wondering if you can specify what Cyprus looks like more? I wanna draw him but I don’t want it to be inaccurate 😭😭🙏
Part one of Cyprus's story
Definitely masculine. Has a short, smart haircut, like he has a great hairline so he doesn't need bangs to cover them. His face is clean shaven, but if he doesn't shave regularly, he might have a growing stubble. He wears titanium, rectangular glasses like how Bayonetta does except his frames are like silver instead of black.
Okay i think I may have screwed up on the description of his scar. It's actually two scars, one that cuts through his thick eyebrow and another that cuts through his full lips. But if you see tha angle of the scar, you can tell that it was made by a singular slice yget what i mean
strong jaw, pretty sculpted face and a strong nose, like pretty masculine hell yeah and he has a resting bitch face that's for sure
Dark haired, pretty muscley, tanned skin. His eyes are sharp and upturned (positive canthal tilt??), he has double eyelids that's for sure but it doesn't make him look sleepy. Just makes his eyes look huge. Has grey irises tho and super long eyelashes, almost like he's wearing eyeliner but it's just his eyelashes
and definitely them signature cauliflower ears

Mark grayson x Bayonetta reader GN
Ok please note that this is my first time ever writing a fic and also posting tumblr so stay with me now yall😭
Prologue- 1.1k words
Ok to set the scene this little “fic” will take place in the second season of Invincible, the reader is also the same age as him during this time but obviously the world is your oyster. This will also take place after Bayonetta 3 with a different outcome Jeanne and all the other Arch-eve’s are dead along with the Arch-Adam’s, and Viola had also died; but the reader being Bayonetta will have lived after killing Singularity for one reason, you had gotten a mystery box like item as a gamble from Rodin and you were not able to know what it was until the right time. Luckily the item that you had purchased was a red hot-shot able to save you from the brink of death. Also too if you’ve never heard of bayonetta that completely fine I will do my best to explain the parts of bayonetta that will be in the story but it will still be an Invincible fic
As you were lying there soul out of body struggling at the hands of demons from Inferno trying to drag you down to wander Inferno for all eternity, unknowingly to you, Rodin wouldn’t let that happen not just yet.
He came into the world that was slowly being consumed after the death of Singularity and had placed your broken Umbran Watch on your chest and injected the red hot-shot into your body returning your soul to your body.
While you had been dealing with the whole Singularity ordeal the GDA had finally figured out who and what was causing all these strange “anomalies” all over Europe, and New York.
As well as them figuring out that you were the cause of them they also figured that you were also the cause for the destruction that was soon to come to the world being Singularity coming to kill you and take your soul via the plot of Bayonetta 3. You had also met a few of the heroes as well while meeting with the GDA, and Viola to discuss what was needed to end this madness. The heroes that you had met were Invincible, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, as well as the new guardians of the globe.
After you had finally risen from your dead-like slumber after almost dying, you were surrounded by some of the heroes you had already met and a few others, as well as a few GDA workers including Cecil, Donald, and nameless doctors. You had woken up discombobulated completely until you had remembered everything that happened, Luka and Viola dying shortly after saving you from your last demon summon Gomorrah Devourer of the Divine.
You needed to get out of there away from everyone, instantly you healed your body of any remaining wounds and pushed anyone out of your way as a few doctors and hero’s had tried to ask you were you were going the second you had turned out of the door you had vanished into Purgatorio the space between where only the Umbra, Lumen, and the creatures of Inferno and Paradiso may exist; Nobody had seen you after for hours. That is until you were sighted by one of Cecil’s drones back home in New York.
You were standing drowning in your own thoughts on the crown of the Statue of Liberty, until you were confronted by the Hero invincible. He had also saved you from one of the monstrosities that Singularity had brought into your world so you were a bit more open to him. He talked to you a bit before handing you the only gun left from your best friend, and Umbran sister Jeanne. The GDA had found it in the Remanence of the island of Thule where she had been killed. You had already kinda explained how some of your powers worked and had told them that your guns can only fire with the power of an Umban Witch for them to work.
The GDA knowing this figured that you should have it being the friend of Jeanne as well. This had only strengthened your relationship with Invincible not quite friends but mutuals which for you being the sassy bad ass that you were was a start, especially since all of the people you had really gotten close to were now dead. This would also mean you are the last of the Hellish Umbra witches and heavenly Lumen sages.
The GDA and a handful of heroes had watched the entire fight with Singularity via your request if you had died. Meaning that the ones who had watched it happen know the extent of your powers and all you can accomplish. Being able to summon the most unholy abominations, destroy buildings like their made only of glass, able to put out so much force into a singular punch that can equal to megatons, and what seemed like an infinite amount of powers you wield.
They also knew that you being this powerful had for some reason made your very being connected to all of reality meaning if you had died fighting, the reality of your origin would have been wiped out completely from existence; and Singularity’s would have been the only one left for his definition.
The GDA had talked about sending The Guardians and anyone else who they thought might even stand a slight chance against you to imprison you for your destruction that you would leave. Since they figured out how to stop your summons from watching Jeanne try to recover Sigurd from that government building and be unable to summon anything. But as they were talking they came to the conclusion that if Jeanne still managed with no problem against the abominations of Singularity even without her summons and you being even stronger than her it wasn’t worth it. Plus he was also sure that if they even tried to you would still unleash literal hell on the world.
If you were also on their side helping them then it was better this way, having one more hero to stand up to the upcoming threats of the Viltumites especially one as powerful as you. They weren’t even sure if Mark would be enough to take you down, after all, you managed to change events that were already defined in reality. So for now all of the crimes, paths of destruction, and halos you had left behind in your path were forgotten.
The GDA had half a mind to see if you would join The Guardians but seeing how you handled even having to work with only Viola, they didn’t bother. Not that you would have joined either if they had asked. So for now they know of the last remaining history of the Umbra Witches, and the Lumen sages—the witch of Genesis Bayonetta.
—
Chapter 1
Ok so ik that most people don’t really have a clue of what bayonetta is so don’t worry i’m not really gonna make this about the games or anything the only thing is that the events that had happened through the first 3 games had already happened so if you haven’t played the games dw bc im not really gonna go in depth of them only thing i really will is the bayonetta reader being their powers and then little flash backs with explanations of them too so it shouldn’t really be confusing and also too if you have played the games then pls note the bayonetta character will have the weapons of “Color my world” and personally when i think of how they will look i think of tokyonetta but obvi you can make them out to be how ever you want the world is your oyster and just a quick little definition of what the bayonetta reader is pretty much a half witch half sage being who is extremely strong and can summon demons from inferno (hell) along with so many more powers if you have any questions too about the fic id love to answer them too💖 I’m also posting this to Ao3 same user too the title is “A Spark Of Genesis”

The Good Ending
Hear me out but in a good and sweet way, These two but as really good Friends.
[Click for better quality]
{Some Headcanons and Explanation under the cut}
It may be a bit sudden but am I the only one who thinks that Jeanne and Singularity would be very good friends if all the events had never happened? Still find it a bit bittersweet that Singularity in origins was really worried about seeing Jeanne die again (at first I thought he was bluffing...but why would he even mention it and even so melancholic too??). He may have posed as Dr. Sigurd to gain the trust of the group and killed Jeanne shortly after to complete his plan, but I'm really thinking the whole time...what if Singularity saw Jeanne as a human who wasn't treating him like a weapon of the government but more like a living willing 'creature' which he actually is? The guy was probably used all his years as a bioweapon or toy that humans can use or even throw away whenever they want and the interaction with Jeanne was probably his first normal communication he was allowed to have with a human. Also find it very interesting that in the cutscenes it was often said that Singularity was 'lonely' but he often contradicts it.
Still love the little AU of mine where Singularity and Jeanne get along so well that Singularity honestly tells Jeanne everything that humans had ever done to him as they fly to the Thule island and Jeanne doesn't do the typical 'oh you're the bad guy I have to kill you now' but really listens to Singularity's concerns. What happens after that? Singularity has restored all the worlds he had absorbed and all the people who had died come back and the main cast is absolutely confused because Jeanne and Singularity have now become besties.(Also imagine Jeanne protecting her bestie from the Alphaverse government because they want their bioweapons back lmaoo)
I also love the Headcanon that Singularity was the one who gave the homunculi names, he named them after cloud Formations which is kinda sad bc he dont really have a 'name' either and maybe the homunculi were the only creatures he had a bond with, my god these beings are mindless weapons but also were the only creatures in the lab with him(also bc Im Sure that Humans are way to lazy to give them actual names and gave them more like Code numbers, you know kinda government stuff)
I swear since I'm doing a Bayonetta 3 Pure Platinum Run so many Ideas and concepts for each character is flooding my mind, some of the characters really need a fleshed out personality...bc the Game itself don't really fleshed them out enough. I know that some Fans don't really liked Singularity but I somehow really liked His personality, a sassy AI with His own will who wanted to destroy first to then create his own world and life.

Singularity still drives me up the walls all those years later bc he COULD'VE been an interesting and appealing villain with a cool and properly menacing powerset to fight against multiple Bayonettas and Jeannes. The thing with him being a super advanced A.I. with an army of infinitely multiplicating clones is cool as hell.
But then they had to put the phenomenal affirmation shit and the arch-eves and all that stuff and oops now it sucks balls. Phenomenal affirmation is one of the fucking stupidest powers i've ever seen. It's not reality bending it's this invisible thing that just makes him win bc yes. It's not even "he's a superhuman intelligence able to predict outcomes based on ultra-advanced math" it's a fuck you button that just doesn't work fully on the main Cereza. It drives me nuts how bad it is as an interesting power for a villain to have.
They also forgot to give him like charisma but THIS is probably the thing that makes me feel the most insane.
#bayonetta#bayonetta 3#2 years later and i'm still deeply mad at this game#i swear to god kamiya better make good on the okami sequel or i'm hunting his bald ass down

In a perfect world where Bayonetta 3 is good there would've been a scene where Singularity tries to "bribe" Bayo prime to stay out of her way by dropping her in the perfect universe: a world where the Umbra and Lumen clans are still around and her parents are still alive
Bayonetta ofc refuses and asks how Singularity could think she'd want that only to reply "Because it's what I would want" and then revealing Singularity to be a Lumen Bayonetta

"This...is unfathomable!" I think it's pretty within fathom also you just threatened Jeanne with not dying until 500 years later
#sorry I'm watching the ending even though I know I shouldn't be#everything with Morgana was SO GOOD this is dumb however#I'm not 100% about it jelling as Bayonetta's origin story but you know. Morgana is a really good and cool villain#the final boss fight is extremely hype#the singularity encounter however cheapens everything about these characters#like I get it more generally 'you will die protecting Cereza' but Jeanne swearing this oath as a child doesn't hit for me actually!#especially with us not really exploring their friendship beyond generic 'I don't care if I die for Cereza!' stuff

ABOUT DEMONS IN BAYONETTA 3
It's so weird that some demons in bayonetta 3 don't come back, like the six arms, they were cool, and had development: in the first game they tried to play volleyball with the golem and failed, while in the second they actually do it! So proud of them but where are they??? Like, it would have been so cool to see them back...
Also, the train could have been replaced by scholopendra, I really miss that guy.
And the kraken could have been replaced by the hydra since they are so similar in use...
Or queen Sheba. Now, I know that most people don't like the ending, and they are right as hell. It would have been so cool if the three Bayonettas in the end summoned queen Sheba together and kick singularity's ass and as a reward for finishing the game (maybe only in infinite climax?) You get her weapon and her summon, even if it was just a recolour of Madame Butterfly... (I would prefer it to be her own demon tho)
I don't get why Alrune returned instead. In the lore there is only one version of the demons. Rodin is the same in every universe, and so are other demons. In Bayo 2 Rodin kills her and uses her to create the whip, so she shouldn't be alive, right? Instead she is. Weird.
Rodin being summonable is so fucking cool, I wish they gave us post game where Cereza uses his powered up form like with Gomorrah and Madame Butterfly and Baal Zebul. I just wish there were more of those fights tbh. The clocktower and the big split bats never got any action, while Madame and Gomorrah were summoned about three times... I get that they are fan favourites, but I really wanted to see other demons too...
The clocktower is so cool btw, it can give you witch time whenever you want, or can turn into a mech that can beat Rodin's ass easily (see my previous post), or it can slap big enemies, or make bombs rain on the battlefield! How cool is that??? All while being a clocktower! That's so cool. I admit that when I saw it for the first time I thought it was just a demon to fill the roster. But when Bayo used its witch time bell in a cutscene I audibly gasped (mostly because I didn't even try using it) like, how cool is it to be able to use witch time with the fallen clocktower of the umbra clan infested by the spirits of the fallen umbra witches??? The clock that symbolizes Rosa's death! It was a big deal that it was destroyed according to the previous games' lore, because a lot of witches died in it, and it was the same day that Rosa died (in the main universe)! And you get it by shooting Rosa and killing her as Cereza! That's so fucking good! I love the clocktower so much.
Gomorrah is underwhelming tbh. I expected something more powerful. Like, Madame is good during all of the game, but Gomorrah is just, kinda there??? I love it, but I rarely use it. If I ever used it at all, actually...
BAAL IS SO PRECIOUS. I love her so much! Little (not so much) frog that sings! And when she sings it's such a good attack too! It hits everything and some people use her against Rodin too. She just wants to sing for her master, and when she finally does... Oh boy! That was an amazing scene! The rhythm game was hard tho... So I kinda killed the mood by taking some damage and I am so sorry. The little hands coming from hell with glowing sticks to vibe to her music is so funny, and both of her designs are so appealing. One side is "hehe royal froge" And the other is "queen of opera". Anyway she uses her tadpoles as bombs and that's fucking hilarious, it's like, a dragapult situation, the kids just explode!
The two big bats are cool I guess... They didn't get much screen time and are useful only in like, three situations, which all involve a barrier that makes enemies invisible. And if you squint hard enough you actually see the enemies on your own when they attack so it's not that useful. I like that they separate when they attack but Labolas does that better.
Labolas are four good kitties and I would die for them.
Madame Butterfly is so fucking funny for no fucking reason! She does a kamehameha and kicks butts while taking a nice bath, what an icon. Maybe they overused her a bit along with Gomorrah.
The war train is... Underwhelming? Is that the right word? Idk... Like, you have all these flashy fights but then time stops so that you can place binaries on the battlefield... Baal's song does it's job better. If you wanna hit multiple enemies at the same time use Baal. Basically useless in any boss fight and awkward to use in battle. A shame, really, because I like the concept of throwing a fucking train in someone's face.
Cheshire Is cool, as much as I hate playing as Viola, Cheshire is so goofy and silly when he attacks. He's a good kitty.
Phantasmanereae is cool, but I preferred the black version in other Bayonettas... It's still cool, don't get me wrong, it's just... I don't know. It's cool that it can use webs to imprison enemies but I don't use it much. I prefer its weapon. I like to walk on walls.
Malphas crow is actually so cool in white, and it looks so smart! That's a smart boi right there, I am sure. It has so many eyes! So cute! I wanna pet one.
The kraken... I don't use it much. Similar to Gomorrah, but it's not as iconic so... Meh. I know there was a glitch where people used it to win against Rodin but it's been patched before I started playing so... Idk. Cool that it's basically both the first and the last boss I guess? Gives me that sweet ringkomposition feel I like (and I don't like spelling). I like the ink theme, but I never really use it's summon or its weapon unless it's for using all weapons.
I think that the demons are over? There is Jeanne's version of Madame Butterfly, but I never use Jeanne because i like witch time a lot. And it's basically the same demon.
(Yes this post has become a review of the demons mid writing, thanks for noticing)
