234. Maia wolfing out because Jordan is triggering her makes me so sad. this dude 1. shouldn’t be here, 2. shouldn’t be acting like he and Maia are okay, and 3. should be leaving Maia alone. I know she said it’s fine and didn’t mind if he tagged along but the dude that stalked, abused, and abandoned you isn’t going to be doing any favors for Maia. I’m sorry but her general storyline with this- I’m not a fan of and I don’t think they did it that well. and maybe I’m lowkey triggered and taking it personal, but it could’ve been handled so much better

236. it’s so heartbreaking to watch these Maia scenes. I’m getting sad and teary eyed thinking about it. it’s hard work putting shit behind so you can move on, and then to have the trauma come and swing at you, it’s almost impossible to process

237. I will never forgive the writers for ending Saia just so Jordan can die peacefully knowing Maia forgave him. SERIOUSLY SOMEONE TALK TO ME ABOUT SAIA PLEASE

238. don’t get me wrong, I love Izzy but to give them zero development that Saia worked so hard on was a massive fuck you. I don’t care but it was. there was no reason to permanently end this relationship

239. and maybe if they ended Saia some 10 episodes or so ago and actually worked on sizzy, I could appreciate sizzy but they don’t. and it can’t be helped if they got cancelled- I don’t blame them for that- beside the writing, I do blame them for that. but to have all that work for Saia and then put sizzy together in a few episodes felt a bit forced to me

I think I have three parts to edit. I did an extra Alec appreciation because I did see a request for either Malec/Magnus miniseries collection but I wanted to add it specially for them so I focused on that. but we’ve got Maia, and Magnus for today ✨ but thankfully this episode is almost done but the next one will be way worse but I’m getting these finished asap 🥹

Eh, sure. Might as well leave a basic idea for doodle potential.

So basically, some time after they resolve their deep-rooted issue's with each other, Scraps makes the very slow process of getting to know the new kind of Shrimpo.

Shrimpo, understanding why she's taking everything slow with even building the idea of a friendship, just lets her do her thing. She tries talking to him normally and works.

There's still sparks of the Shrimpo she's used to hate layered under all the new stuff, but for some reason, the old habits felt more endearing than annoying. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Especially when Shrimpo recognized them and apologized even when he didn't do anything wrong yet. So, all that fester for a while, past the point when she can comfortably say they were friends, until one day eventually she realizes, "Oh no, I actually like this guy," and goes into complete denial about it.

That's how imagine it from Scraps' POV, anyway.

Okay. I just finished the chapter with Max in the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy for the first time and... oh my god, the FEELS! I just loved the way all these people are now part of Magnus' life. I love how Alec is now so comfortable with Magnus, that Magnus can even joke around even if there are other people around.

The funny stuff? Simon suprising poor Alec and Magnus in bed? Alec was so mad, I completely understand him. :D Robert asking if the baby is created with a magic? Oh no! :D

And Sizzy now works so perfectly. I am in heaven. :D Now... All I need is to finish the book and start the Lost Book of the White!!! I cannot wait! :3

Sizzy Headcanons: Married with Children

A/N: I saw someone be disappointed about the lack of Sizzy content and as its the best TMI ship (as I explained in my Unpopular opinion ship post), I cannot help but agree so I am hereby writing some headcanons for them!

-Are the go-to couple to babysit Max and Rafe when Maryse is not available as Magnus trusts Simon more then Jace with the kids. -Their wedding was more grande then Alec and Magnus' because they had a far longer time to plan. -Catlovers for life. They grew up with their cats (I'm counting Church okay?) and so will their own children. -I think they will have about 3 children like the average Lightwood. -Simon bought his own fancy place not too far away from the Institute and handles most of the paper stuff regarding their home. Having grown up as a mundane, he doesn't needs to be as secretive as the average Shadowhunter and basically continued using his mundane ID and driver's license. -They keep things as much of a secret around Simon's mother, but Becky knows most of the stuff that's going on around the place. She's a dotting aunt towards their children and visits them often. -Because of that, Isabelle decided Becky might as well become a permanent member of the Shadow World and actually hooked Becky up with a werewolf. -Jace loves telling embarrassing stories about Simon to the children, like the time he got drunk on spiked blood. Simon as revenge, started telling his own children cringe stuff about Jace and rubs it in Jace's face every time he beats him at video games when the kids are present. -Isabelle is a wonderful mother to her children and definitely a protective momma bear. -Simon, as a recruiter for the Shadowhunter Academy In Exile, often pops by on Luke's farm once his children decide to attend. A lot of the students look up to him and some can be a little jealous of the Lightwood Lovelace children. -Isabelle and Simon are very supportive parents who are there for their kids throughout every stupid mistake they make. Simon knows exactly when to crack a dumb joke that will cheer up the children and Isabelle falls in love with him even more every time he does it. -Their kids know as much about geek culture as a mundane nerd would. These kids grew up watching Star Wars and hearing Simon roast whatever Disney puts out relating to the IP. -Speaking of that, any joint event with the Herondale-Fairchild kids likely involves watching some adventure shonen anime like Attack On Titan together. -At least one of Simon and Izzy's kids have embarrassed themselves when they were young by doing the Naruto run. -They celebrate their wedding anniversaries by going on a cute picnic. It reminds them of their first succesful date when Simon went to the Shadowhunter Academy. Simon never lets Izzy prepare the food though, he does it himself. -Being married to Isabelle, Simon actually learnt how to cook because her cooking skills are a biohazard. -Whilst he'd never let Isabelle alone in the kitchen, he actually doesn't minds her helping him out with cooking. At least once, they ended up having a food fight.

skoodgeisms dependent on company:

skoodge with zim: fully open and way too eager (genuinely has fun, silly business) doesnt actually salute to zim, ive noticed. he respects him but i think that respect is the kind that puts them around the same level as each other. (doesnt mean skoodge Doesn't put zim on a figurative pedestal -- just that he sees him as more 'equal' than, say, the hobo sergeant or the tallest) funny little guy with funny little words :3

(added the entire danceghost segment here because i love it dearly. look at him. panic boy ultimate. supreme.)

skoodge with irkens/irken-adjacent (squad sergeants/commanders/figures of authority): quick to salute fun words (hoo-ah) and out of place body/hand motions happen only when he gets in over his head/too excited. feels a lot more plain and "conformed" (as though attempting to fit in?)

even with zim involved, skoodge is... kinda dramatic throughout hobo-13 in a way that he isnt in any of the unfinished episodes. like. serious-dramatic. trying too hard to be a stone-faced irken brute that he thinks everyone else thinks he should be.

(Yes sir! I am your loyal- [gets his ass punted and sent careening down a cliff])

... kinda like how he is with the tallest during battle of the planets!

So Zim involvement does not override other-irken-company involvement, but it does override other-not-irken-company. so say, skoodge is with the other invaders on conventia during the assigning and zim walks up next to him -- he quickly and quietly backs away because that is a public space, and doing anything to imply that he might have somewhat of a cordial relationship with zim would put him on... hot burning coals. to put it lightly.

and when skoodge is with the hobos, he treats zim with respect, but that's because zim is the leader of the group -- skoodge is probably at least somewhat aware of the fact that the tallest (and others) are watching him right now. he is treating zim... a lot like a stranger. curt words and mostly not talking to him directly unless addressed or thinking his skillset might be useful to zim.

... at the end, though, you see some of his actual personality start to leak through!

(Zim -- I escaped from the canyon -- I made it! I'm aLiiive! [immediately gets crushed by the sergeant])

(seeking validation -- he didnt need to come all the way out here, to say that to zim, specifically. he was still doing the test for the tallest the same as zim was, yes, but youd think if anyone knew to keep their mouth shut around zim for the sake of their own luck/lives/whatever, it would be skoodge. and yet! he doesnt!)

im feeling like... the adrenaline high from running through the entirety of the hobo-13 course, with a hogulus still chasing after him, probably made him a little excitable and lose his cool composure.

anyways that was a tangent. uh.

when skoodge is with other company. he is. awkward. (see: ghost scientist scene). though this is undoubtedly because of the situation (undercover during a supposed mission) hes still noticeably different from how he behaves on hobo-13! i think maybe this is just because earth is foreign territory that hes yet to learn. still thinks of it as a hazardous filthy wasteland of a planet with threats he hasnt properly assessed.

i think... if he were with company, not irken, and without the looming threat of being discovered and dissected (earth, humans, blorch, rats) then he would still be plain and awkward, honestly? kinda like sizzy when he fails to match zim's energy ('i wasnt laughing?') lots of ums and awkward silences and coughs and flies buzzing and crickets chirping.

Anyways onto updates: we got confirmed what there better in black story will be about a couple of weeks ago:

Now opinions on this??? I actually really wanted them to get like, an all brand new story HOWEVER; I am almost known as the biggest complainer that the sizzy engagement story was about Clace SO she did this for me and I’m also REALLY excited no matter what I thought it’d be haha. My cuties deserve everything in the entire worldDDDD also I can’t wait to see Simon propose LOL, like that’s the thing I was so upset we didn’t get to see in the short story!

It’s gonna go something like:

Simon: will you marry me??

Izzy: what did you just say to me

HAHAHA I don’t like I’m sure she will be really confused for one second and than Simon’s gonna go “omg nooo I didn’t mean it” and she will be like “DUH I’ll marry u” and than BOOM happy and joyous stuff.

As for current Sizzy thoughts?? Most my thoughts have been elsewhere BUT I feel like Simon is having a lot of fun playing marvel rivals and I think he gets Izzy into it and she goes absolutely ham on the game, IK she’s maining pyschlocke!!!

1. Percabeth (Percy and Annabeth from the PJO & HOO series by Rick Riordan) the first ship I ever shipped I want a love like theirs

2. Locklyle (Lucy and Lockwood from Lockwood & Co series by Jonathan Stroud) I love slow burn couples in book series where you see the characters evolve over the years and where the romance isn’t the main plot

3. Herongraystairs (Will Jem and Tessa from the the Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare) always thinking about them in some way shape or form I want a love like theirs

All these ships are my Roman Empire btw they all share the top spot there’s no ranking

4. Pip and Ravi from AGGGTM by Holly Jackson - badass intelligent talented girl x supportive funny guy who loves her like it’s breathing trope you will always have my heart (funny that seems to be a consistent pattern with these ships lol)

5. Malec (Magnus and Alec from the Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare) yes I know they’re everyone’s favorite along with Herongraystairs I’m basic bla-bla-bla but have you considered that they’re popular bc they’re such a top tier ship? All the ships I mentioned are ships I could write an essay or multiple essays about just get me all the books they’re in so I can quote stuff and around ten to twenty hours and I’ll write an essay of 292749299171883902883 words about how much I love them

6. Pandalily (Pandora Lovegood and Lily Evans from the Marauders fandom loosely based off of the HP series) I’m writing a fic about them I have to put them in the top 10 even if I’ve been relatively inactive in the fandom and when it comes to actually writing my fic (sorry I’ve been busy with school and existential crises lately)

7. Wolfstar (Sirius Black and Remus Lupin from the Marauders fandom especially from the fic All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 because in that fic the angst and the slow burn are unparalleled)

Jegulus (James Potter and Regulus Black from the Marauders fandom, especially from the fics crimson rivers by bizarrestars, only the brave by solmussa and art heist baby! by otrtbs) not the biggest shipper bc i read too many fics of them in too short a time and got jegulus overexposure and needed to take a break from reading fanfics for a while but in those three fanfics especially crimson rivers and only the brave they’re incredible

9. Dorlene (Dorcas Meadowes and Marlene McKinnon from the Marauders fandom) I want to write a fic about them next. In my head they’re sooo imgonnagetyouback by Taylor Swift coded

Kanej (Kaz and Inej from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo) soulmates in my opinion but not in the “they were destined for each other” SJM way but in a “their souls fit together like pieces of a puzzle and everything falls into place perfectly because their love is just so cosmically powerful, they weren’t destined for each other but they loved each other so much from now on they will meet and love each other in every lifetime” kind of way if that makes sense (same goes for all the ships here especially Herongraystairs)

11. Herondaisy (otherwise known as James and Cordelia from The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare) the unrequited lining the angst they’re just so perfect

12. Kitty (Kit and Ty from The Dark Artifices and soon to be The Wicked Powers main couple by Cassandra Clare) I love angst and pining and an excruciatingly long slow burn so you know I love Kit and Ty

13. Nick and Charlie from Heartstopper by Alice Oseman - it seems like your typical teenage love story but it’s actually so much more than that at the same time, I want what they have

14. Everlark (Katniss and Peeta from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) a beautiful love story

15. Sizzy (Simon and Isabelle from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare) I love them so much

16. Firstprince (Alex and Henry from Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston) RWRB is perhaps one of my favorite romance books ever and I love the “exchanging love letters” trope

17. Helnik (Nina and Matthias from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo) I knew Matthias was going to die bc of spoilers from before I read SoC but it still hurt so much

18. Solangelo (Will and Nico from HoO, ToA and TSATS by Rick Riordan) the sun and the star wasn’t one of my favorite books of the year but I still love them

19. Ruegard (Clarisse and Silena from PJO by Rick Riordan) I joined TikTok this year and discovered they were shipped by a pretty big part of the PJO fandom and now I need to reread PJO.)

20. Eva and Celeste from It Goes Like This by Miel Moreland - I highly recommend this book it’s abt a queer sapphic band who get broken up and now they come back together to perform one last time. The main couple, Eva and Celeste have such a beautiful story I don’t want to spoil anything

21. Teo and Aurelio from The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas - they got together too soon in the second book in my (very very biased towards excruciating slow burns) opinion but I loved them in the first book

22. Kit and Theo from The Pairing by Casey McQuiston - the fact that we have two Kits and two Teo/Theos on this list but in different ships (also two Wills) is kinda funny. I really loved their story and I want a love that’s so profound but also so fun like theirs.

23. Thomastair (Thomas and Alastair from The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare) I love them so much

24. Ghostwriter (Lucy and Jesse from The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare) they’re a big part of why Chain of Iron is one of my favorite TSC books but also their relationship conflict in CoT about not being able to kiss for a weird illogical reason was just not believable

25. Gracestopher (Grace and Christopher from The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare) some people ship them but in a platonic way some people ship them in a romantic way I understand both sides and honestly as long as we got to see the two of them develop a close bond based on love and trust it doesn’t entirely matter. Unfortunately CoT broke my heart

26. Ineffable Husbands (Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens) I watched Good Omens at the end of 2023 and read Good Omens the book at the start of January 2024 I still think of them from time to time and I’m not really up to date on s3 news but apparently s3 is going to be much shorter 😢 again that thing I said about loving excruciating angst and pining

27. Rosekiller (Evan Rosier and Barty Crouch jr from the Marauders fandom specifically in the fic “I’m not going to teach him to dance with you” by greensenne (not 100% sure I haven’t messed up the name of the fic but 100% sure that’s what the fic author is called if ever you want to check it out. It’s a no Voldemort AU with lots of Speak Now by Taylor Swift vibes) they’re Wolfstar but evil/morally gray Slytherins depending on the fic basically)

28. Jurdan (Jude and Cardan from The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black)

Fierrochase (Alex and Magnus from Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard by Rick Riordan) I discovered the TSC fandom bc I kept reading Pinterest posts with “Magnus and Alec” in them and thinking huh I don’t remember that part of the story from Magnus Chase and also why is there consistently a typo in Alex’s name?? I love their dynamic so much I NEED to reread MCGA next year

30. Edwin and Charles from the Dead Boy Detectives TV show on Netflix (why does Netflix keep cancelling shows I love? I watched it and then right after Netflix cancelled it)
