You Haunt My Dreams (You Saved My Soul)
A/N: content warning for implied/referenced suicide and torture
At first, he thought he was in the Dark Castle’s dungeon. The room had no windows, and the only light came from a furnace whose flames burned a sickly yellow. Familiar implements of torture were spread throughout. A basket of pokers sat between the furnace and a table of flaying knives, pliers, rattan canes, tawses, and other implements of pain that were too blurry for him to see clearly. Floggers, ranging from a single tail to a cat o’ nine, were mounted on the wall.
But then, he noticed the birch rod, the hoods, the glass bottles filled with shimmering water, and a cleric shouting from a tome at a person bound in manacles and suspended from the ceiling.
“Cleanse the darkness that hath taken root in this poor soul! Repent for the deeds acted upon thee and forsake the devil that thou once served!”
A piercing wail echoed through the chamber as another cleric materialized out of thin air and struck the hanging figure, a woman with tangled, greasy hair as dark as the finest ale and sea-foam eyes filled with tears—someone he would recognize even in his dreams.
“B-Belle?”
“Begone, foul creature! Thou shalt not claim our Lord’s kin. Fear not, tarnished one, for we will purify thy soul and rid thee of the Dark One’s influence.”
“Belle!”
He summoned his magic to turn her tormentors to dust—no snails or roses, not for their ilk—but his magic did not respond. He tried again with a stronger spell, but once more, nothing happened.
The man behind her raised his arm to strike again. Unable to use his magic, he lunged at her tormentor and collided with an invisible wall.
He frantically searched the room for ruins, magical objects, squid ink—anything that could be used to trap him—but found nothing.
With no other option, he slammed against the barrier. It didn’t break, but a flash of light caught his eye. He glanced up and saw the flames from the furnace reflected above.
Was he being held back by glass?
Suddenly, he saw himself from a distance as if he had cast a Seeing Eye spell, despite the absence of any animals to serve as a medium.
A twisted version of himself was trapped inside a dressing mirror.
His yellow-green scales were as large as armor plates. His sharp nails curved like the claws of an apex predator. He had more teeth than a human, each fang sharp enough to rend flesh and crush bones. His eyes were dark pits devoid of light, reflecting his soul.
Was that monster him? No. No, something was wrong. He had changed. He wasn’t that beast anymore!
“What’s going—”
Like smeared paint on a canvas, the world shifted.
He was standing on a balcony atop a tower.
How did he know it was a tower?
His beautiful Belle—his brave maid, his True Love, his wife—stood on the ledge.
Since when was Belle his wife?
Her tattered crimson chemise fluttered in the night breeze.
He was sure she didn’t own any red underthings. He spotted ruby droplets dripping from her gown, vanishing over the edge, and realized what was wrong.
“It’s blood. You're covered in—"
“I’m sorry.” Impossibly, her tear-stained eyes cut into him, even though he stood behind her and she gazed outward toward the horizon. “I can’t take t-this anymore. Y-You were right, Rumple,” she sobbed. “You are a monster.”
She jumped off the ledge, and he wailed. He couldn’t reach her. He was still trapped—always trapped, trapped in poverty, trapped in marriage, trapped in war, trapped in his own skin.
As she fell, Belle’s voice grew louder until the tower began to crumble.
“You killed me. You killed me! You killed me!! You killed—”
“Rumple! Rumple! Wake up!”
He bolted upright, his eyes snapping open, a scream caught in his throat as he struggled to breathe between rapid gasps for air. The covers on the bed flew across the room, slamming against the far wall.
It wasn’t only the bed sheets; the bedside lamp, the wall decorations, their clothes, and even the bathroom nightlight swirled around the bedroom like a tornado.
“Rumple—Rumplestiltskin! We’re in Storybrooke. We’re safe!”
Startled, he turned toward her voice. Belle was sitting in front of him, dressed in her favorite nightgown, the one he had hand-embroidered with purple flowers because being a spinner was still a core part of him, and the poor man inside wanted to provide pretty things for his wife to enjoy.
“Take deep breaths with me, in and out. There you go. Can you tell me three things you can see?”
“Y-Your eyes, the f-flowers on your n-nightgown, t-the shut door.”
“Good, now can you tell me three things you can hear?”
He closed his eyes, “W-Wind, r-rain, thunder.”
“You’re doing great. Last one, can you move or touch three things for me?”
He patted the bed. “The mattress.” He twirled a loose thread around his fingers, a familiar nervous habit even after centuries. “My nightshirt.” Finally, he wiped the tears off his face. “My tears.”
His gasps for breath gradually ceased, and once the panic subsided, all the objects swirling around the room dropped to the ground.
“There’s my husband.”
“B-Belle, there was a tower and clerics. They were—” He couldn’t say it. “You were hurt, and then you,” his voice trembled, “f-fell.”
She was tortured because of her association with the Dark One. No one believed she was merely his maid. Everyone assumed the Dark One had ravished the Beauty. She was hurt because of him. She had jumped because of him. She had died because of him.
“Stop that.” She slapped his cheeks. “Regina lied. She may have kept me locked in a tower, but there were no clerics. I was not tortured, not—not with pain—isolation, maybe, by this realm’s standards, but not what you’re imagining. You had a nightmare. Sweetheart, it wasn’t real.”
Belle leaned forward and kissed him tenderly. His fear faded as he knew she was safe in his arms, and he would burn the world down to keep her that way.
A crack of thunder startled them apart. With a frown, Belle looked at the rain hitting the window. “I was going to suggest a walk to clear your head, but it’s a bit too much like one of those ‘dark and stormy nights’ from Henry’s books for a midnight stroll. How about I make us some tea instead?”
“That sounds lovely. Just—” He looked away, whispering, “Leave the door open so I can hear you, please.”
He didn’t need to see her face to know she was smiling as he revealed another weakness—no, not a weakness. During his and Belle’s last appointment with Dr. Hopper, Archie explained that expressing his needs to his partner was not a weakness, and with open communication, expecting them to be fulfilled was not unreasonable. Everything Milah taught him about marriage was wrong, and they were working to undo the damage—Archie called it trauma—that his early life had caused.
Belle left the door open as she went downstairs. With a minor enhancement spell, he could hear her in the kitchen. He closed his eyes and listened to the familiar, calming sounds of Belle making tea.
He opened his eyes just before Belle returned with a tea tray in her arms. She served him tea in the chipped cup. It was his most treasured possession, along with Bae’s baby blanket.
They drank in companionable silence, the chamomile tea soothing his frazzled nerves. He spoke, intending to compliment the tea, but instead, what slipped out was a question that had haunted his dreams ever since Regina told him that Belle threw herself off a tower.
“How can you love a monster like me?”
Belle set her tea down and straightened her back—she had a spine of fucking steel—like she always did when she was determined to make him listen.
“I will say this every day for the rest of our lives if you need me to. You are not a monster, Rumplestiltskin. A monster would not feel remorse for their actions or fear their monstrosity. You have always been a man who makes bad choices. But, Rumple, making mistakes is part of life. Everyone, hero or villain, has regrets. I know the Dark Curse’s effect on your mind is lessened here, but even if we were still in the Enchanted Forest, I would help you fight it. I love you, and True Love, Rumple, doesn’t mean everything’s perfect. It means that we support each other through the good and the bad. If we work together, we can achieve our happy ending. After all, love is the most powerful magic of all.”
His lip wobbled as he placed the chipped cup on the bedside table before collapsing into his wife’s arms. She held him as he wept for the beast he once was and for the man he aspired to be, the better man he believed he could become, with her support, with her love.
He could do anything with Belle by his side.

UR SO PRETTY N FEMININE, literal definition of bimbo barbie 🤭 please give the girlies some tips on make up, skincare, and overall being more girly! thnxs🌷
-🐶
hey girlie!! THIS IS SOSO SWEET AWEE!!! here are some tips i have n some of my secrets!! ૮꒰ྀི >⸝⸝<꒱ྀིა 🧁☁️🐇🌷
1. finding the vibe🧸
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's not hard to be hyperfeminine or a bimbo, do a lil research n see what you like! i mean there are 100s of popculture bimbos to follow after (elle woods, karen smith, regina george, blair waldorf, holly madison, cher from clueless) and with the modern hyperfemininity movement you can really be any type of girlie.
i listed above my fav bimbos above! i personally hyperfixated on different things in each of their personalities or lifestyle! i wanted a girlie room like maddy perez, elle woods intelligence, blair waldorf and regina georges fashion nd confidence, holly madison's...just everything, etc. just observe and manifest! writing this all down in a journal about your new feminine lifestyle may help you concentrate on ways to make you more feminine!!
2. skincare and makeup🧼
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
now let's start with skincare!
cleansers: i love a double cleanse! an oil cleanser will remove sebum and other icky stuff in your pores it also helps remove makeup after a day of wear. foam cleansing is next this go deep into the pores in more hard to reach areas or used to take care of any acne
toners: i love how plump and soothing toners are! i prefer toners that hydrate my skin and provide a layer of hydration making toners the perfect way to prep for serums!
serums: by targeting acne, dark spots, dry areas, etc with serums boosts your skin youth and complexion. just remember retonoids on dry skin, exfloxiators like aha and bha on dry skin before hylaronics like peptides, snail mucin, etc. ampoules are after serums to lock in all other products
treatments: tretnoin is my lifesaver! along with aha/bha! those masks should be washed off well or bleaching of the skin can occur especially with benzoyl peroxide!
moisturizer: depending on your skin type and concern your moisturizer will be different but remember you want non-striping or exfloxiating ingredients, otherwise it won't work! at night locking these products in with an oil or ointment like snail mucin oil or aquahor!
fav skincare brands: anua, cosrx, beauty of joseon, centella, and innisfree
bodyyyyy🍡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
smelling good makes you feel good! pair different scents together makes you feel amazing and will let ppl become intoxicated with you. this goes with dressing you body type! personally i believe pink goes on everyone but if you want you can go by you undertones to find the right shades and colors will look good on you along with dressing to your comfort.
pretty mini skirts, dresses, paired with a lotioned body smelling of cake and fruit...perfection!
princess treatment🛍
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here are some misc.d tips i put together for you! hope this'll help more
treat yourself like a princess, go shopping, relax in bubble baths, keep your room clean, spoil yourself daily...you deserve it!
style your hair, whether it's dying it or curling it have fun! showing off how pretty your hair is allows for focus to also be on your pretty face! that means taking care of your hair is important too!
search for different makeup styles, like gyaru, korean style makeup, baddie makeup, soft glam, etc each style will provide a different image or facade. just find what works for you and facial shape, but that doesn't mean you can't adjust different makeup style to fit your features.
keeping track on your journey of being a bimbo! write down milestones, different products you choose to use or different styles you want to try. remember this is all fun!

My *Updated Winter Skincare Routine + Some Tips 🎀
I have tried out some new products and have found some new personal favorite skincare items for the winter! I figured I’d update on my current morning and night skincare routines and add in some tips (based on things I’ve been doing that have been working for me). I am not a dermatologist or professional, these are sino,y my routines and what works for me!
🩷 Morning Skincare Routine
Wash my face with Cerave Hydrating Face Wash and cold water
Pat dry with a paper towel
Apply Jumiso Vitamin C Serum
Follow up with Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream
Use sunscreen, Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics SPF 50
that’s my simple little morning routine! I love it so much more for than my super complicated routine because sometimes it’s nice to just get in and get my skincare done for the morning.
🩷 Night Skincare Routine
these two things stay the same every night, but the rest differs by night
Oil cleanse on dry skin with Anua Pore Control Cleansing Oil
Follow up with using the B.Lab Matcha Foam Hydrating Cleanser
Monday/Wednesday/Friday - Exfoliating
Use the Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner
Pat in the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence
Use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyalorounic Serum
Next, I pat in the Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum
I use the Cerave Eye Repair Cream on my under eyes
Lastly, I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream
Tuesday/Thursday - Retinal Eye Cream Days
I use the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner
Next, I’ll use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Serum
Then I’ll occasionally use the Skin 1004 Centella Asiática Ampoule serum
Then I Pat a bit of the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Cream under my eyes
Lastly, I lock it all in with my Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream
Saturday - Basic Day
I’ll use the I’m From Rice Toner on this day
Then I’ll use the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Followed by either the Anua Peach Nicain Serum OR the Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum
I’ll Pat the Cerave Eye Repair Cream into the under eye area
Then I lock it all in with Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream
Sunday - Full Self Care Day
Before double cleansing, I use the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Face Mask (I love her)
Then I double cleanse
Then I’ll use the Anua Toner Pads
Then I use my Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence
Then I use either of my Hyaluronic Serums depending on how I feel
Then I’ll use the Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum
Cerave Eye Cream of course
Then I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream
Every Night -
I pat a little Hyaluronic acid serum into my lips and seal it with Vaseline
a lot of products, yes, but I went crazy and bought a bunch of skincare and now I’m using it and my skin loves all of it honestly! My skin is not super sensitive so I use everything within reason in a way that won’t irritate it. For me, I know what works for my skin and what doesn’t, and that’s been the most helpful thing. Now, for some tips,
🩷 Skincare Tips
Apply vitamin C to dry skin! I’ve heard this helps with absorption and the way the serum works!
Pat face dry, do not rub! Rubbing irritates the skin and pulling on it aggressively like that isn’t good long term
Use clean paper towels! May be a bit wasteful but it’s a lot cleaner then using a face towel that you wash once a week
Apply Hyaluronic Acid to damp skin for better absorption!
Apply all serums to your clean fingers to pat into skin as dragging the droppers across your skin can collect bacteria and what not
Always use sunscreen! I myself sometimes forget or I skip it and that’s just not good for your skins health long term
drink your water!!! Hydrated skin starts from within, lovelies
Use products that work for your skin type! Avoid fragrances if you have sensitive skin, avoid snail mucin if you have a dust allergy, etc
Cold water in the morning to refresh your skin and wake you up
if I've washed my face + done my skincare the night before, I do not wash my face in the morning. I simply splash with cold water and do my morning routine.
learn your skin type! this will help you determine what products will be beneficial for your skin type and goals. My skin bounces between oily and dry depending on the weather, if I did skincare, if my pillowcases are clean, etc.
don't touch your face, at least not with dirty hands. always make sure your hands are clean before touching your face
don't pop acne! not only with this leave the chance of scarring, but it spreads the bacteria from one pimple to the rest of your face
brush your teeth before doing skincare. when you brush your teeth after, you may rub off the stuff you've applied or mix it in, which is not the best for your skin
those are all the tips I currently use in my everyday life regarding my skin! I hope this was useful!
til next time lovelies 🩷

What's your skincare routine currently?
I actually spent the other week taking stock of how my current routine was working and deciding if I needed to change anything, so I have a lot to say on this
AM:
Wash face with water
(extra step for wintertime) Avène thermal water
Serum with antioxidants and niacinamide: just switched from facetheory Colloidal-C Anti-Redness Toner, which I got in hope of reducing redness (did nothing for me) back to facetheory’s Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner, which actually makes my skin look great. It has 5% niacinamide and a vitamin C derivative, which is what I want – I just would like extra perks (anti-redness). An alternative I’m considering is the Isntree Onion Newpair Gel cream.
(extra step if my skin is feeling very dry i.e. what I use during winter) hydrating serum: I’ve just finished Avène Hydrance Serum which I found very hydrating though too light weight (i.e. not good for winter for me) and honestly it lasted so little that I won’t buy it again. My go to instead is snail mucin: Mizon’s Snail Repair Ampoule (best formula but not so much product, what I’m currently using); or COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence (best bang for your buck, though my pump was really bad)
Alpha-arbutin: most recent addition to my skincare & it seems to be making a difference when it comes to discoloration (PIE). I’m using Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum, mostly because this was the only product I could find here in Norway.
Caffeine for my undereye: I’m using The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream – while I can say it’s infinitely better than what The Ordinary offers (because why would you use a dropped for something that goes around the eyes!!), I can’t tell if I’m seeing results or not, despite using it for almost three months. Maybe?
Moisturizer: Eucerin 5% Urea Repair, my holy grail of all time. I buy this by the litre. Since I entered my mid-20s, my skin has turned dry. Combined with drier winters and the heating I have to put on to survive winter, this is the only thing that makes my skin stay intact.
Sunscreen: probably controversial, but I actually don’t wear sunscreen everyday, as the amount of light I get is ridiculous (though I do in the summer or if there is snow). Over the past year, I tried several ones and my top two choices are Beauty of Joseon Sun Relief (cannot fault a single thing and I found it to be good value for money based on how long it lasted me) and Isntree Onion Newpair Sunscreen (jury is out on whether the onion extract actually helps me, but I found the texture to be perfect for me and it actually ensures I apply a proper amount since it’s not too runny)
Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment: amazing!! This has been so far the only thing that helped with redness. I haven’t worn foundation in a year and it’s only because of this. I don’t even think it’s that expensive because I spent 30£ for a 50 ml jar which lasts me six months of daily use. Love it.
PM:
My routine is the following:
Double cleanse: I’ve been liking a lot the Beauty of Jonseon Cleansing Balm – so far the best cleansing product I’ve tried. Micellar water is a no for me, as I don’t like using cotton pads. Oils are mostly ok as an alternative, with iUnik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil being my failsafe (but it doesn’t remove 100% of my mascara).   Next, I use a foaming cleansing gel. My go-to used to be Neutrogena Clear & Defend, but it keeps being sold out, so I’m now using  CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. It works fine. My main criteria here is price tbh.
facetheory Exaglow serum: the daily base, with tranexamic acid, liquorice root, and a vitamin c derivative, this in combination with whatever active follows has helped me reduce my hyperpigmentation so so much
An active (see below)
Moisturizer: Eucerin Urea repair, again.
Actives is when things get more complicated, because I rotate weekly between (combinations of) them
Differin (adapalene): game changer, I tolerate it very well and I recently increased it to three times per week  + Azelaic acid: I love it and over the years I tried so many different products (available in Europe). I find that for me 10% works just as well as 20%. Usually, a higher price tag gets you better texture (i.e. less grainy) but not better results. Isispharma Metroruboril was very smooth, but a more basic one works just fine for me – hence why I keep going back to The Ordinary’s 10% one. It’s not an area where I feel like I should be spending a lot.
Kojic acid: I’m using Dermaceutic’s Radiance, which works fine in combination with my overall routine. + Retinol: bit of a controversial combination, but because I’ve been using retinols for so long, this works fine. I’m using A313, which is v gentle. I bought it in Paris and it has a too thick texture in my opinion, so once I finished the tube I’ll go back to my fave L’Oreal Revitalift (amazing fragrance, great texture, very hydrating too)
An exfoliant: while some of my products have small percentages of lactic acid in it, so I never felt the need to have a dedicated exfoliating step up. However, I thought I could benefit from it and started using  facetheory’s Glycolacsal which has glycolic acid (8.5%), salicylic acid (1%) and lactic acid (0.5%).  I use it twice a week and it’s really good.
In addition to all of this, twice a week I do a face mask with benoxyl peroxide in the shower which helps tons to keep acne at bay BUT is infinitely better than using the cream, which has bleached all of my towels. The cream used to be a must in my routine but now that overall my acne is under control, I don’t need to use it as often.
This ended up being extremely long, but I love skincare and I feel like I learnt so much about my own skin and how to work with it and what products work in the past few years. I’m testing new things but in a calculated manner. And I don’t know. Skincare is nothing static and the whole process of figuring things out can be fun (and necessary).

Achieving a Radiant Complexion: A Simple Nighttime Skincare Regimen
In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to overlook the significance of a proper nighttime skincare routine. However, dedicating a few minutes before bedtime can make a world of difference in achieving healthy, glowing skin. Let's delve into a straightforward nighttime skincare routine that will leave you feeling pampered and your skin revitalized!
Tumblr media
Cleanse: The First Step to Radiance
The foundation of any effective skincare routine is cleansing. Before heading to bed, ensure your face is free from makeup, dirt, and pollutants that have accumulated throughout the day. Opt for a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Gently massage it onto your face using circular motions, focusing on areas prone to oiliness or dryness. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to preserve essential oils.
Recommendations:
Aprilskin Carrotene IPMP™ Hydromelt Cleansing Balm
JUNO & Co. Clean 10 Cleansing Balm 10 Ingredients Makeup Remover
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser
Exfoliate: Unveiling a Fresh Canvas
Exfoliation is essential but limit it to 2-3 times a week to avoid overdoing it. A gentle exfoliant will remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and enhance the absorption of your skincare products. Look for products with natural exfoliants like jojoba beads or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
Recommendations:
SkinMedica AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator
Paulas Choice--SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant
Tone: Balancing the pH
After cleansing and exfoliating, toning comes into play. A toner helps balance the skin's pH levels and prepares it for better absorption of serums and moisturizers. Choose alcohol-free toners with soothing ingredients like rose water, chamomile, or witch hazel.
Recommendations:
PCA SKIN Nutrient Face Toner
THAYERS Alcohol-Free, Hydrating Lavender Witch Hazel Facial Toner
SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner
Serum: Targeted Treatments
Serums are packed with potent ingredients that target specific skin concerns. Whether it's fine lines, hyperpigmentation, or dehydration, serums offer a concentrated boost of active ingredients. Gently apply a small amount to your face and neck, letting the serum work its magic overnight.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence
Paula's Choice CLINICAL 1% Retinol Treatment
Derma ProGenix Advanced Anti-Aging Skin Care Serum
Eye Cream: Soothing and Refreshing
The delicate skin around the eyes requires special attention. Apply a nourishing eye cream to help reduce puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. Use your ring finger to dab a pea-sized amount around the orbital bone gently.
Recommendations:
IMAGE Skincare, VITAL C Hydrating Eye Recovery Gel
Dongyu 5% Caffeine Eye Serum and Under Eye Roller Cream
QOI Dark Circle Eliminator
Hydrate: Locking in Moisture
Moisturizing is crucial to keep your skin hydrated and plump. Select a night cream or moisturizer that suits your skin type, whether it's gel-based for oily skin or thicker for dry skin. Massage it into your skin using upward strokes to promote better circulation.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Moisturizer
Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance
PCA SKIN Collagen Hydrator Night Cream
Lip Care: Soft and Supple Lips
Don't forget to show your lips some love! Apply a nourishing lip balm or treatment to keep your lips soft and supple throughout the night.
Recommendation:
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Overnight Mask or Face Oil: Nourishing and Repairing
For an extra boost of nourishment, consider using an overnight mask or face oil. These products provide intense hydration and repair your skin as you sleep, waking up to a fresh and revitalized complexion.
Hands and Feet: Extending Skincare Love
If you have a few extra minutes, pamper your hands and feet as well. Moisturize them with a rich cream and put on cotton gloves and socks before sleep, allowing the products to deeply penetrate and hydrate the skin.
Recommendations:
Paula's Choice Radiance Renewal Night Mask
LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
Beauty Sleep: The Ultimate Secret
Finally, the most essential part of any nighttime skincare routine is a good night's sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted rest to give your skin and body the time they need to repair and rejuvenate.
Remember, Consistency is Key!
The true magic of any skincare routine lies in consistency. Don't expect overnight miracles; instead, practice this easy nighttime skincare routine regularly and patiently, and you'll soon notice a radiant and healthy complexion that makes the effort entirely worthwhile.
So, go ahead and treat yourself to a little nightly skincare ritual – your skin will thank you for it!
P.S Highlighted are my personal favs

Current skincare routine
i have sensitive skin that leans oily
Morning:
Cleanse - cetaphil hydrating cream to foam cleanser
Tone - cosrx propolis synergy toner
Serum - vitamin c serum - brand varies as long as its a liquid
Moisturize - cera ve for normal to dry skin
Eye cream -Bondi sands eye spy (i love the brightening)
Sunscreen - Australian gold botanical 50 tinted mineral sunscreen
Evening:
Cleanse as above
Tone as above except 1x per week - Paula’s choice BHA/AHA toner - skip retinol on this day
Retinol serum - previously used cera ve now using pixi - will prob try something ‘stronger’ next since i tolerate these very well - some nights i will just use A313 on dry toned skin and skip the rest
Moisturize as above
Eye cream - any (they don’t do much - i grab whats on sale)
Sleep mask - about 3x per weeks - leneige water sleep mask, doppeltree, trying leneige cica mask next
Lip mask - carenel berry
I tried cosrx snail mucin and was in denial that it was breaking me out 😔 also tried oil cleansing with burts bees oil cleanser and my skin does not seem to like any excess oil. I use jojoba oil to remove my makeup and for gua sha before cleansing and that works well
Skincare is very trial and error for me due to my sensitive skin and this is what seems to work best right now and i can say that i feel like my skin is kept in great condition. If i add too many new things, it freaks out

heyyy
i'm so boredddd
time for random questions
what's your🫵 skincare routine? 🧖‍♀️
what products do you🫵 use?🧼🧴
(might go around asking these questions at random avatar writers hehe)
🫵🫵🫵
hiiii my 🫵 anon hehe. how are you love?
ooohhh i love sharing products! i’m gonna preface this by saying i have very oily, acne prone skin so 😀 and i’m gonna say my skincare n makeup routine bc why not!
1. to cleanse in the am, i use garnier micellar water on a cotton round (i’m always running late/never have time to do a full face wash lol)
2. then, i like to use panoxyl’s oil control moisturizer (has spf 30 which is great, i kill two birds with one stone using a combined moisturizer/spf). if i know i’m going to be in the sun for longer than 30 min, i also apply the skinscience sunscreen (it’s very glowy tho so i’m not positive it’s great for my oily skin lol)
3. i recently purchased the elf power grip primer (the new pink one with niacinamide) and it’s nice! so i’ll use some of that and press it in, don’t rub since it has that tackiness feel to it and you don’t want the product to pill
4. then i’ll either spot conceal if i’m in a big rush w/ the dior forever skin correct, or if i have time, apply charlotte tilbury’s beautiful skin foundation (it’s pretty lightweight which is nice, especially in the summer)
5. for brows, i love the nyx eyebrow pencil. it’s a staple for me, i’ve been using it for years now. for contour, i also recently picked up the elf halo glow contour beauty wand, and it’s a very good dupe for the charlotte tilbury contour wand. dare i say better?
6. for mascara, honestly any drugstore mascara is good. i also like the little mini “travel” sized ones from sephora, since you’re supposed to replace mascara every month anyway. might as well spend $13 on the mini instead of $28 for the full size one since it’s getting tossed at the end of the month regardless!
7. for powder, maybelline fit me (the loose one) is great, and givenchy makes a good loose powder too but it’s $$. setting spray i like urban decay’s all nighter, but i don’t use setting spray every day.
8. at night, i always double cleanse. it is essential. i use an oil cleanser from the dermatology group i belong to, it’s pretty nice. it removes all the mineral spf that’s sitting on top of the skin, as well as makeup. then for cleanser, i like cerave’s foaming facial cleanser, or their acne control cleanser. both are nice.
9. then i use the advanced snail 96 mucin power essence after cleansing, slimy yes but it makes your skin look dewy and glowy. and after that i apply a moisturizer & retinol from the derm group i belong to :) and then eye cream & lash serum!
wowee that’s a lot hahaha sorry for info dumping i just love talking abt products, this was such a fun ask <3

How Japanese and Korean Skincare Routines Want Your Attention?
In the modern global beauty industry, perhaps the most widely discussed comparison is the Japanese vs Korean skincare regimen. Both skincare giants have revolutionized how we approach beauty, bringing attention to gentle maintenance, prevention, and sustainable results. Whether you're shopping for the best products from Japan or trying to perfect the multi-step Korean skin care regimen, these two skincare philosophies are fighting for your vanity shelf—and for good reason. They provide more than just products—they provide tried-and-true techniques that result in healthy, radiant-looking skin.
Tumblr media
The Underlying Philosophy Learning about Japanese vs Korean skincare starts with the cultural mentality behind the routines.
The Japanese skin care routine is minimalism, purification, and prevention. Based on ancient traditions that date back centuries, Japanese skincare is dependent on natural ingredients and soft treatment. It is more about respecting consistency, routine, and overall health than it is about chasing trends. Brands such as Hada Labo and SK-II embody this subtle yet strong philosophy.
Conversely, the Korean skin care routine lives on innovation, hydration, and personalization. Popular for its 10-step process, K-beauty makes users layer products to fight several skin issues simultaneously. From snail mucin to fermented extracts, Korean skincare is fearless, playful, and constantly changing.
Both sets of methods concur on one: Your skin needs time, care, and devotion each day.
Step-by-Step Comparison: Less vs More Let's look at how each culture builds its skincare routine:
Japanese Skin Care Routine (usually 5–6 steps):
Oil cleanser
Gentle foaming cleanser Hydrating lotion (like a toner) Essence or serum Moisturizer Sunscreen (AM only)
Korean Skin Care Routine (up to 10 steps):
Oil-based cleanser Water-based cleanser Exfoliator (2–3x a week) Toner Essence Serum or ampoule Sheet mask (2–3x a week) Eye cream Moisturizer Sunscreen (AM) or sleeping mask (PM)
Whereas Japanese skincare is cleanse, hydrate, protect, Korean skincare is layering treatments for dewy, glowing finish.
Key Benefits of Japanese and Korean Skincare Routines Both routines offer unique benefits that deserve your attention:
Benefits of Japanese Skincare Routine: Promotes long-term skin health over short-term fixes
Uses natural ingredients like green tea, rice bran, and seaweed
Encourages minimalism for less irritation and more balance
Known for high-quality formulations from top Japanese skin care brands
Benefits of Korean Skincare Routine: Focuses on intense hydration for plump, glowing skin
Includes innovative ingredients such as snail mucin and propolis
Permits customization according to the needs of the skin on a daily basis
Presents quick results with noticeable differences in texture and tone
Both are perfect for individuals looking for non-toxic, high-performing skincare that transcends surface-level outcomes.
The Ingredient Breakdown: Nature vs Innovation The fight between Japanese skincare vs Korean skincare becomes even more apparent when we examine their ingredients.
Japanese skincare products tend to be augmented with age-old, natural ingredients like:
Green tea – anti-oxidizing and calming
Rice water – brightening and moisturizing
Camellia oil – deeply hydrating
Fermented ingredients – aid in skin rejuvenation
Korean skincare, on the other hand, is loaded with innovative ingredients like:
Snail mucin – regenerating and anti-aging
Niacinamide – brightens and minimizes inflammation
Ginseng – energizes and firms skin
Hyaluronic acid – deeply and immediately hydrates
This variation in formulation enables customers to select between old-school purity or new-age science, or mix both for the best outcome.
Visual Aesthetics: Classic vs Playful There is also a visual contrast in how these regimens look.
Japanese beauty products tend to be packaged in tidy, minimalist containers that mirror the wabi-sabi philosophy—beauty in simplicity and imperfection.
Korean skincare is known for its fun, colorful, and trendy designs, which appeal to younger generations and skincare enthusiasts.
Whether you’re looking for the best Japanese cosmetic in glass bottles or an adorable Korean sleeping mask shaped like a fruit, your aesthetic preference plays a role.
Availability in India: Getting the Best Products Due to international demand, Japanese skincare items in India are now easily accessible. From well-known Japanese skin care brands such as Shiseido and DHC to affordable brands such as Hada Labo, Indian skin care enthusiasts can readily find top-quality imports.
Korean skin care brands such as COSRX, Laneige, and Innisfree are also among the most common items on Indian beauty store shelves.
Whether you want the best Japanese skin products for hydration or a K-beauty serum to give you that glow, there's something available for all budgets and skin issues.
Why Your Skin Needs This Attention The international skincare revolution is heading in the direction of routines that are thoughtful, tailored, and goal-oriented. The Japanese and Korean skincare philosophies are a perfect fit for this trend.
They instill patience—your skin gradually gets better, not overnight.
They focus on intentional layering—not mere use of random products.
They present consumers to quality rather than quantity.
That is why Japan peels and K-beauty regimens are worth taking note of: they approach skincare as self-care, not appearance.
Conclusion: Which Skincare Routine Should You Choose? It isn't a question of whether Japanese vs Korean skincare is superior—rather, it's what will work for you. If your skin yearns for simplicity, nature, and gentle care, use the Japanese skin care routine. If you adore layers, hydration, and experimentation, the Korean skin care routine could be right for you.
Or, better yet, blend them together! Use Japanese skin care products such as a moisturizing lotion and rice cleanser during the day, and apply a Korean essence or ampoule at nighttime. The blended method ensures that you can experience the best from both worlds.
Whichever you do, make your skincare regimen reflect self-respect, patience, and love. Because your skin doesn't just require care—it deserves it.

♡Weekly Chronicles♡
Tumblr media
Good afternoon babesss <3 THANK YOU FOR 100 FOLLOWERS! this week wasn't that interesting but reaching this milestone was so nice love all 108 of my babesss<3
♡Mental♡
This week I've been resting I spent my time sleeping and sipping my smoothie for my cleanse. I had my period this week so I was a little sad here and there but now it's over so I'm in a better space. I hate having a period lol it makes you emotionally unstable at times. I created my vision board this week and it's super cute and pink. I hope all of you created your vision boards for this year. I plan on restarting The 12 Week Year this upcoming week<3. I planned out my 12-week year using this notion template. I highly recommend this book it helps you achieve your goals in a much more effective way.
♡Physical♡
I was super sickkk the first half of this week I don't know what happened but I got cold out of nowhere and it affected my sinuses which was not fun. After Wednesday I started feeling better. The cleanse I've been on has been going so well! My bloating went down. I'm so snatched right now love ittt. I plan to start Pilates again this week. I can't lift weights for a while which is sad because I enjoy the thrill I get from it lol. I haven't worn my corset in 2 weeks but my waist doesn't seem any different I usually wear it for an hour a day 5 days a week but I was so bloated when I came back from my trip that I wasn't comfortable wearing it and this week I was tired and wanted to pamper myself.
My sister introduced me to some really good Korean skincare products that I have been using and have leveled up my skincare routine. She tends to gatekeeper so keep this a secret between me and you lol.
Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner This toner is so good. Before this, I had not been using a toner in my skincare routine and it's crazy how much dirt was in my skin even after washing my face with my foaming wash cleanser. The alcohol in the toner isn't harsh but do your research especially if you have sensitive skin.
Anua Peach 70 Niacin Serum I use this after the toner and it just adds this cooling effect from the alcohol in the toner. It smells so good too but it isn't a strong peach scent which Is perfect for me.
Bio-Oil this recommendation is not from a Korean skincare brand my cousin Yasmeen recommended this to me. Her skin is so flawless right now and she told me this is her holy grail. I'm here to say she was right this is so good not only for hyperpigmentation, and discoloration but also for stretch marks my mom used this oil and said it worked very well for her. I use this as my moisturizer.
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence & COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Moisturizer If you want soft glass skin these two products will do ittt. I love COSRX they have such great products and they work. The only warning I'd give is if you have a shellfish allergy then I would not recommend you get this product.
I gave you babes my whole skincare routine lol I left out some products but these are my must-have.
♡Plans For The Weekend♡
My cousin reached out to me she wanted to go see the color purple. I've been wanting to see that movie for sooo long. But I can’t go because it was such a last-minute invite. Plus “I'm broke” lol I'm doing a 3 month no spending challenge. I can post a blog post on my 3 month no spending challenge if you girliesss are interested<3. This weekend is going to be simple nothing interesting happening at all just watching YouTube, reading and Duolingo lol.
Comment your plans this weekend and how did your week go?

Scraping K-Beauty, J-Beauty & Western Beauty Product Data
Tumblr media
Introduction
The global beauty industry thrives on cultural diversity, with K-Beauty, J-Beauty, and Western Beauty leading the way in setting trends and consumer expectations. Each segment brings skincare, makeup, and wellness innovation shaped by distinct philosophies, ingredients, and aesthetic values. By Scraping K-Beauty, J-Beauty & Western Beauty Product Data, businesses can analyze the nuances in formulations, packaging, and brand messaging. Whether it's Korea's skincare layering, Japan's minimalist purity, or the bold innovation of Western brands, these categories reveal evolving beauty ideals. Companies aiming to compete globally must Extract Korean, Japanese & Western Skincare Product Data to understand customer preferences and stay ahead of the curve. Furthermore, to gain deeper insights into global market dynamics, it's essential to Extract US and Korean Beauty Product Informationuncovering cultural influences, ingredient trends, and product positioning strategies that resonate with modern consumers across different regions.
K-Beauty: The Art of Ritual and Innovation
Tumblr media
K-Beauty has become synonymous with innovation, accessibility, and a holistic approach to skincare. Rooted in South Korea's cultural emphasis on flawless skin as a marker of health and beauty, K-Beauty products prioritize hydration, gentle exfoliation, and long-term skin health over quick fixes. The iconic 10-step skincare routine—cleansing oil, foam cleanser, exfoliator, toner, essence, serum, sheet mask, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen—epitomizes this philosophy.
Data Scraping US and Korean Beauty Products helps analyze routine adoption, product popularity, and global influence. K-Beauty formulations often feature novel ingredients that have captured global attention. Snail mucin, found in products like COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, is prized for its hydrating and healing properties. Centella Asiatica, or circa, dominates soothing creams like Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream, calming irritated skin.
US & Korean Skincare Brand Data Scraping reveals how brands leverage these ingredients to build trust and scientific credibility. Fermented ingredients, such as galactomyces in SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, enhance absorption and efficacy. These ingredients reflect K-Beauty's blend of tradition and cutting-edge science, often backed by rigorous research and development. Data Scraping Korean Skincare Prices provides competitive pricing insights across mass and luxury product lines.
Packaging in K-Beauty is a feast for the senses. Brands like Laneige and Innisfree use pastel hues, playful designs, and compact containers to appeal to younger demographics. Data Scraping US and Korean Beauty Products supports packaging trend analysis and market segmentation strategies.
K-Beauty brands also excel at affordability without compromising quality. Etude House and The Ordinary's Korean counterpart, The Face Shop, offer serums and masks at affordable prices. Luxury K-Beauty, like Sulwhasoo's ginseng-infused creams, caters to premium buyers. US & Korean Skincare Brand Data Scraping helps track how pricing tiers resonate with global consumers.
J-Beauty: Simplicity Meets Timeless Elegance
Tumblr media
J-Beauty, Japan's contribution to the beauty world, contrasts K-Beauty's exuberance with a minimalist, disciplined approach. Rooted in centuries-old traditions and a reverence for natural beauty, J-Beauty emphasizes the prevention of overcorrection. The philosophy is simple: consistent care with high-quality products preserves the skin's natural radiance. Scraping US Makeup Products Price Data can help benchmark J-Beauty's price-performance positioning against global counterparts.
Where K-Beauty revels in multi-step routines, J-Beauty often distills skincare to essentials—cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer—focusing on efficacy over excess. J-Beauty's ingredients are often tied to Japan's natural resources and cultural heritage. Extract Health & Beauty Product Data to compare ingredient sourcing, formulation types, and claims across different regions.
Green tea, rice bran, and yuzu are hero ingredients that reflect purity, tradition, and performance. J-Beauty pioneered cleansing oils like Shu Uemura's Ultime8, emphasizing deep cleansing without damage. Web Scraping Health & Beauty Websites support tracking unique innovations, helping businesses monitor evolving product formulations and consumer sentiment.
J-Beauty packaging leans toward elegant simplicity—sleek frosted glass, clean lines, and minimalist branding. This understated luxury reflects the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which values beauty in imperfection. Scraping US makeup products Price Data reveals how J-Beauty's luxury appeal compares to premium Western alternatives.
J-Beauty appeals to value-conscious and discerning consumers, with prices ranging from budget-friendly to luxury. Products from brands like Kose, Kanebo, and Pola cater to both spectrums with an equal commitment to quality.
Extract Health & Beauty Product Data to map this diverse product range and understand market gaps for new entrants.
Western Beauty: Diversity and Bold Expression
Tumblr media
Western Beauty, encompassing products primarily from North America and Europe, is a broad category defined by diversity, bold innovation, and inclusivity. Unlike the ritualistic focus of K-Beauty or the minimalist precision of J-Beauty, Western Beauty celebrates individuality and versatility. Skincare and makeup here cater to a wide range of skin types, tones, and concerns, reflecting the region's multicultural consumer base.
Western skincare often emphasizes targeted solutions. Retinol, a gold-standard anti-aging ingredient, dominates serums like The Ordinary's Retinol 1% in Squalane and SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5. Vitamin C, for brightening, appears in CeraVe's Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum. Hyaluronic acid, a hydrating powerhouse, is ubiquitous across brands like Neutrogena and La Roche-Posay. These ingredients are formulated for maximum potency, often with clinical studies to back their claims, appealing to consumers who prioritize visible results.
Makeup is where Western Beauty truly shines. Brands like Fenty Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury offer foundations in 40+ shades, catering to diverse skin tones. Bold lipsticks from MAC and highlighters from Becca encourage self-expression, while Glossier's "no-makeup makeup" trend taps into the desire for an effortless glow. Western brands also lead in clean beauty, with lines like Ilia and Drunk Elephant avoiding controversial ingredients like parabens and sulfates, aligning with growing consumer demand for transparency.
Western Beauty's packaging is as varied as its products. High-end brands like Estée Lauder use weighty glass jars to convey luxury, while indie brands like Herbivore favor recyclable, Instagram-friendly amber bottles. Drugstore giants like L'Oréal and Maybelline opt for practical, colorful designs that pop on shelves. This diversity reflects Western Beauty's adaptability to different markets and aesthetics.
Pricing spans a vast spectrum. Drugstore staples like Cetaphil cleansers cost under $10, while luxury creams from Crème de la Mer can exceed $300. Mid-range brands like Paula's Choice and Sunday Riley offer professional-grade products at accessible prices, bridging the gap. Western Beauty's inclusivity extends to its price points, ensuring something for every budget.
Comparing the Three: Philosophy, Trends, and Appeal
Tumblr media
While K-Beauty, J-Beauty, and Western Beauty each have distinct identities, they share a commitment to innovation and consumer satisfaction. K-Beauty's strength lies in its playful, trend-setting approach—think cushion compacts and lip tints that double as blush. Its multi-step routines appeal to those who view skincare as self-care, though the time commitment can overwhelm busy consumers. J-Beauty, by contrast, offers a streamlined alternative, attracting those who value efficiency and heritage. Its focus on prevention suits mature skin or minimalist lifestyles but may feel too restrained for trend-chasers.
Western Beauty's greatest asset is its inclusivity. By addressing diverse skin concerns and offering bold makeup options, it resonates with a global audience. However, its emphasis on quick results can sometimes overshadow long-term skin health, a cornerstone of both K- and J-Beauty. Ingredient-wise, all three overlap—hyaluronic acid and niacinamide are universal favorites—but their applications differ. K-Beauty layers them for hydration, J-Beauty uses them for balance, and Western Beauty targets specific issues.
The packaging reflects cultural priorities: K-Beauty's whimsy, J-Beauty's elegance, and Western Beauty's versatility. Price points also vary, with K-Beauty leaning toward affordability, J-Beauty balancing budget and luxury, and Western Beauty spanning both extremes. Trends show cross-pollination—Western brands like Glow Recipe adopt K-Beauty's glass-skin aesthetic, while Japanese brands like Shiseido incorporate Western-style serums. K-Beauty, meanwhile, borrows Western inclusivity by expanding shade ranges in BB creams.
The Future of Global Beauty
Tumblr media
As global beauty markets merge, K-Beauty, J-Beauty, and Western Beauty increasingly influence each other. K-Beauty's innovative formulations inspire Western brands to explore new textures like gel creams, while J-Beauty's emphasis on purity and quality contributes to the clean beauty movement. Western Beauty's inclusive approach pushes Asian brands to expand shade ranges and cater to diverse consumers. Sustainability is a shared focus, with all three regions adopting eco-conscious practices such as refillable packaging and natural ingredients. Businesses seeking to understand these shifts can Scrape Cosmetic & Beauty Product Data to uncover trends, product evolutions, and consumer preferences shaping the future of skincare and makeup.

Tumblr media
I’ve long been a fan of Korean skincare products because they prioritize hydration and use gentle ingredients, which is exactly what my skin craves as I get older. Unlike many Western brands that rely on strong actives and harsh treatments, Korean beauty focuses on keeping your skin healthy and protected for the long haul. Their products are packed with moisture to strengthen the skin barrier and brighten dull skin, making them perfect for women over 50. I’ve spent some time testing out Korean skincare on my own mature skin, and I’ve found some products I really like. If you’ve been curious about K-beauty but don’t know where to start, use this as your guide. You can find more of my favorite beauty and skincare products for aging skin here. The Best Affordable Korean Skincare for Aging Skin The Best Korean Cleansers for Mature Skin One of the biggest mistakes I see women over 50 making? Using a harsh cleanser that strips away moisture. As we age, we want to focus on gentle, hydrating formulas that clean the skin without leaving it feeling tight or dry. HARUHARU BLACK RICE CLEANSING GEL This HaruHaru Black Rice cleansing gel has a slightly acidic formula that includes fermented black rice, which is highly moisturizing. Rice water is known for its anti-aging benefits, helping to brighten the skin, boost collagen production, and improve elasticity. It is rich in antioxidants and amino acids that support a healthy skin barrier and promote a smoother, more radiant complexion. The gel is formulated with natural surfactants extracted from coconut that leave my face feeling clean and soft without making it feel tight or dry. Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam This Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam contains Korean ginseng, which helps to boost circulation and brighten dull skin. It’s a bit of a splurge, but reviews say a small amount goes a long way, and the results are worth it. COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser This COSRX Gel Cleanser has a non-stiping formula that keeps your skin barrier strong. If your skin feels reactive or easily irritated, this is a great choice. Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm This Banilla Co Oil-Based Cleansing balm is terrific for removing makeup and other impurities without drying out your skin. The Best Korean Serums for Firming and Anti-Aging Serums are where K-beauty really shines. These lightweight but powerful treatments are designed to target fine lines, sagging, and dullness, which are all major concerns for women over 50. Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum This Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum helps with skin elasticity, and the retinal helps smooth fine lines, while the niacinamide soothes and brightens. It’s not irritating to my sensitive under-eye skin, and it makes my skin feel nice and hydrated. COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The key ingredient in this best-selling COSRX Advanced Snail Mucin serum is a longtime favorite in South Korean beauty products. I know it might sound a little gross or off-putting, but it’s actually an incredible hydrator that helps plump fine lines and repair damaged skin. The brand states that snails are not harmed in the harvesting process, which I suppose makes it a cruelty-free option. I did try it but did not like the stickiness, which is the whole point of this product. Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum This Innisfree Green Seed Serum is a great budget-friendly option if your skin is dehydrated and dull. It provides a moisture boost without feeling heavy. Green tea is also loaded with antioxidants, making it great for preventing further aging. The Best Korean Moisturizers for Mature Skin Moisturizer is non-negotiable, especially as our skin loses moisture faster post-50. Korean moisturizers are deeply hydrating yet lightweight, meaning you won’t feel greasy or suffocated under your skincare. Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb This Belif True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is a long-lasting moisturizer that delivers deep hydration without feeling heavy. If your skin always feels dry by mid-day, this is worth a try. Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream You’ve probably heard of this Korean skincare brand, especially since they have several viral lip products. This Laneige Water Bank Hyaluronic Cream moisturizer is formulated with micro-hyaluronic acid, meaning it penetrates deeper into the skin to plump fine lines. Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Barrier Cream If your skin feels irritated or reactive, this Pyunkang Moisture Barrier cream is packed with ceramides, which help repair and strengthen your skin barrier. More of the Best Korean Skincare Products for Aging Skin Purito Essence My introduction to Korean skincare was this Purito Essence, and it has completely transformed my skin. Fermented skincare, like this essence, is especially great for women over 50 because it boosts hydration, helps improve elasticity, and enhances absorption, making other skincare products work even better. The fermentation process breaks down ingredients into smaller molecules so they penetrate deeper and deliver more nourishment. This essence has become a must-have in my routine. I even have it on auto-ship and always decant some into a small bottle when I travel to make sure I am never without it. PURITO RE-BARRIER CREAM Since I’ve had great luck with other Purito products, so I knew when I saw this Purtito Re-barrier cream that I wanted to add it to my lineup. This cream is both an emollient and humectant with exceptional moisturizing benefits. It helps strengthen the skin barrier and serves as a protection against environmental stressors. This is a high-performance ingredient that soothes the skin, providing instant relief to redness and irritation. This cruelty-free Korean line is affordably priced and never irritates my rosacea. PURITO SLEEPING PACK I often layer this sleeping pack over my serums and Retin A at night. It feels like I am bathing my skin in moisture, which it needs! It’s loaded with lots of beneficial ingredients and leaves my skin incredibly hydrated. Black Rice Airyfit Sunscreen I usually go for physical sunscreens, which are gentle on my rosacea, but this HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Airfit Sunscreen has totally won me over. It is non-greasy, leaves no white film, and has an SPF50++++. Its airless packaging helps keep the unused product protected from oxidation, and the tube collapses as it empties, so you get every last drop out of the tube. It’s loaded with niacinamide to soothe your skin, with a reef-safe formula suitable for even the most sensitive skin. BIODANCE BIO COLLAGE MASK This Biodance Mask is worth trying if your skin needs a boost of hydration and firmness. It’s packed with bio-collagen, peptides, and plant extracts to help plump fine lines and improve elasticity. After using it, your skin will feel soft, smooth, and refreshed. Have you tried any Korean skincare products? Let me know your favorites in the comments. I always love hearing what works for you. You May Also Enjoy Source link

Current Skincare Routine(s) 🎀
I have a morning skincare routine and two separate night routines depending on the day of the week and what skincare products I use. For example, on a night I use my AHA/BHA toner, I do NOT use my retinal eye cream. I'll also include some tips that work for me at the end!
My skin type leans more towards Oily-Combination!
🩷 Usual AM Routine -
If I washed my face and did skincare the night before, I simply splash my face with cold water and pat dry with a clean towel. If I did not do my skincare the night before, I wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash. This is the only face wash my skin likes, but I'm still looking for alternatives for my night routine!
Once I dry my face, I use the IUNIK Centella Asiatica Calming Gel Cream moisturizer. My skin loves this moisturizer. It helps with my redness and makes my skin feel so nice.
After that's soaked into my skin a bit, I rub in a layer of the Beauty of Joseon Rice and Probiotics SPF 50 sunscreen. I put this on my face and neck!
I typically apply a 2nd layer after the first one drys for some extra protection if I know I'll be outside for a bit during the day.
Cocoa Butter Vaseline or Blistex on my lips for some nice, not chapped lips before I do makeup and/or apply lip gloss/lip stick.
My morning routine is super simple and quick because I usually just want to get it done and move on with my morning. I still enjoy it, tho, because it makes me feel accomplished early on in the day!
🩷 PM Routine: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat
I have an app that breaks down my skincare routine so I'm doing this off memory and what I remember from my typical routine for these days, but I do know these four days are different from the others for sure!
Occasionally, I will double cleanse and use my Hiemish All Clean Balm to remove sebum and oil impurities, but I'm not sure how I feel about this cleansing balm yet.
I wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash using warm water and do a final rinse with cold water. Of course, I pat dry with a clean towel. I am looking for a water-based foam cleanser to follow the oil cleanse, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know!!
I then use two cotton balls to rub some Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner along my face to remove dead skin and then I spray some of the toner on my face, patting it in gently with my hands. I have to be careful with my eyes cause it will burn them if I get it in my eyes.
While the toner is still a bit damp on my face, I pump some Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence onto my cheeks, forehead, chin, and a little on my nose and pat it in gently.
I let the essence dry a little bit and then apply some Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum while it's still damp. I pat this in as well, as it's better for absorption than just rubbing it in. I used to use the ordinary brand one, but omg, the Good Molecules one is so much better, in my opinion!!
I need to buy a new one, but occasionally, I'll use a niacinimide serum on my forehead, nose, above my upper lip, and chin as those are my more oily areas. I used to use The Oridnary Niacinimide, but I want to try to Good Molecules niacinimide.
Next, I use my Cerave Eye Repair Cream (the blue one) under my eyes for extra hydration while the hyaluronic acid absorbs into my skin.
Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll use either the Cosrx All in One Snail Cream or the Etude Soon Jung 2x Barrier Moisturizer to lock in everything. I usually choose the Cosrx Cream as I prefer it, but it again depends on how I feel!
A little bit of vaseline to end the routine so I can wake up with soft lips!
I feel like this night routine is more complex then my other night routine but it always depends on the products I use.
🩷 PM Routine: Tues, Thurs, Sun
I do not oil cleanse and instead just wash my face with the Cerave Hydrating Face Wash, patting dry after rinsing with cold water.
I then use some of the I'm From Rice Toner, patting it into my face. I layer this one on twice, being careful with my eyes cause this one will burn them like crazy.
I follow up with the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, patting it into my skin.
Next is the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum.
After the serum dries down, i apply a quarter to a half pump of the Beauty of Joseon Retinal Eye Cream underneath one eye and another quarter to a half pump to the other undereye areas, patting in gently while avoiding my actual eyes. If there's any leftover I gently pat into the surrounding areas. I'm not sure how my whole face will react to retinal so I'm careful with this one.
I then rub some Cosrx All in One Snail Cream over my face to lock in all the other skincare products and moisture.
A little bit of vaseline to the lips to ensure smooth, soft lips when I wake up!
I haven't noticed a difference with the retinal yet due to my inconsistent use but I do like how it feels the first few times after I use it, so I plan on continuing it.
Now, for some Tips:
Pat your face dry, never rub it with a towel. Rubbing it causes friction and pulling on the skin while patting is way more gentle on the face.
Initially wash with warm water but always final rinse with cold water. A while back I heard this helps with your pores, so I've just always done it and it makes my skin feel nice, especially in the morning!
Try to use either paper towels or a departed face towel (not your body towel) when drying your face. I myself use a separate towel for my face that I wash 2x a week and my skin doesn't typically break out.
Brush your teeth before applying skincare! This way, you don't disrupt the skincare surrounding your lips when brushing your teeth, flossing, or using mouthwash.
Always wash your hands before starting your skincare routine to minimize bacteria getting on your face.
Always try to patch test and figure out what works best for your skin, never just use what's viral or popular because not everyone has the same skin type. I feel lucky that my skin typically likes most products, but my skin is very picky with cleansers. I haven't found a cleanser besides the hydrating cerave one that my face likes. (The B.Lab Matcha Foaming Cleanser was so stripping my face turned red and peeled in certain places, a definite no go for me.)
Korean/Asian based skincare typically focuses more on hydrating the skin, while Western skincare tends to focus more on drying out the acne. I personally, as you have read, love Asian based skincare. Most of what I use is Korean skincare, and I'm still looking to expand my skincare collection because I love it so much!
Do your research! When I find a product that interests me, I watch pintetest and tiktok reviews, read the reviews on the actual shopping app, and read as much as I can on the Asian Beauty subreddit before making a purchase. I also like to read ingredient lists, application directions, and details on products, and I always Google what products can and can not mix together. it's helped me determine what to buy and what not to buy, and so far, my skin has loved it!!
Try to wash your pillowcases at least once a week and avoid touching your face with dirty or greasy hands. Also sanitize/disinfect your handheld devices/audio devices (cellphones, iPad or tablets, headphones, etc), eye glasses/sunglasses, and really just keep anything that touches your face as clean as possible. All of this helps to minimize how much bacteria and dirt make contact with your face.
Research different things that may help with improving skin. Ice rolling, gua sha, silk pillowcases, physical exfoliates, face masks, etc. Look into stuff that might help your skin or make a difference in your skins appearance and health.
This should've been higher up, my apologies, but drink your water!! Staying hydrated on the inside definitely shows on the outside, and being hydrated is an essential component to health overall!!
Wear your sunscreen!! Apply it in multiple layers to both your face AND NECK, as both are exposed to the sun for long periods of time and can suffer from prolonged exposure without proper sunscreen application. Along that line, don't be afraid to apply skincare to your neck!! I've seen photos of older individuals who took care of their face and not their neck and the difference between face and neck skin was astounding, so I personally like to rub excess hydrating serums and moisturizers into my neck as well.
Don't pop your acne! If you do get pimples, which I used to get all the time tho it's slowed down a lot, use a warm/hot washcloth or something similar to apply heat to the pimple. This will help it pop naturally, although popping your pimples may allow for the oil, dirt, and sebum to spread to other areas which may cause more acne. Popping acne with your hands may also cause scarring.
Love your skin!!! Skincare results take time, and there's going to be ups and downs while trying to find what products work for you, so try to love your skin throughout the process. Acne and other skin issues are caused by things sometimes out of our control, such as genetics, hormones, climate and weather, etc, so try not to be too hard on yourself!! Things will improve, and if they don't, after some time, seek out a reputable and trustworthy professional for an opinion and better direction on how to care for your skin!!
Wishing you all the best!! Does anyone have any experience with ice rolling or Gua sha being extremely effective? I haven't tried either, but I am looking into it as I feel like ice rolling, especially, might be beneficial, but I'm unsure. And can anyone recommend any Asian beauty water-based foam cleanser that I can use after an oil cleanse? I fear that my cerave isn't enough to fully remove all the cleansing balm residue from my face, which might end up being detrimental to my skin health.
Also, let me know your skin type and products or tools you recommend, as I am always open to including new things into my routine!! I love doing things for myself so expanding my skincare routine is definitely an interest of mine!
Til next time, lovelies 🩷
