Another thing that gets overlooked about the Donavan thing is that while yes, it was self-defense, it was not nothing to Stiles. He actively did not defend himself to Scott because part of him thought he deserved it, that he was a murderer. Once everyone knew the facts, it was Stiles who was most upset by what he did. Scott easily dismisses it as self-defense and so do Malia and his dad (with the latter two also being accepting if it was more akin to murder.) Theo is using it as part of his goal of corrupting stiles, he desperately wants him on his side, but as scott said at his lowest when he thinks he has been betrayed by all his friends, Stiles would never fall to Theo's level. But none the less Stiles is haunted by this for the rest of the season. It is something that taps back into his insecurities about remembering how good it felt to kill as the nogitsune. He wanted donavan dead. He didn't murder him, but he didn't know that he wouldn't have. What hurt him the most was not Theo lying and Scott believing. It is the fear that Theo was telling the truth.

Do you think the paladins regret not spending more time with Allura and get to know her better than just a princess?

I definitely think there's an interesting divide between "Princess Allura" and just "Allura".

It's clear that the Paladins saw Allura as some kind of leader figure, you know, being the princess of Altea and all that stuff. That being said, I think the loss of "Allura" to the Paladins was a two-way struggle.

On one hand, the Paladins kind of blocked out Allura as being more than a leader pretty early on. We can especially see this in the earlier seasons, where they will do activities and stuff without her present (I think "Space Mall" is a great example of this). I don't think this was done intentionally, but Allura's death forced them to confront this fact.

On the other hand, I think Allura also contributed to this divide. She had a lot on her shoulders, not only being the leader of a dying race, but also the leader of Voltron (in the sense that she was teaching the Paladins how to be Voltron). She was their space guide, their sense of security, and they put a lot of trust on her word.

That being said, she also made a lot of mistakes as a leader, and I think she put the pressure of those failures on herself. So she built this sort of persona of herself to the other Paladins. Leader first, then her second.

To answer your question, I 100% agree that the Paladins regret not spending enough time with just "Allura". They were so caught up in their own needs for a person to fall back that they failed to realize Allura had her own troubles as a person of authority. They cared about her, of course, but I think as a found family a lot of characters had trouble showing that they care.

Idk, maybe after Allura's death they try to come up stories about her outside of missions, and they just. Can't.

the federation could take control of him so easily its insane. he would truly do anything for her, and the fact that he hasn’t been letting himself grieve or heal further shows just how far he could go

and oh my god no one else knows how bad it is. no one else knows he much he’s suffering and he doesn’t have a super close ally so oh my god the federation could fully take control of him and if they did it right. no one would know

learn from jaiden and cellbit and how other people got in the way or stopped the federation from being able to hold control over them

I think this was very very present in every arc. Like from beginning to end if ANYONE who wore the Fairy Tail emblem was hurt or injured - "Let the World Burn until they're back home safe"

If ANYONE ever claimed to be in Fairy Tail who wasn't (and it was done for malicious purposes) or badmouthed the guild - A city gets wrecked for such an offense.

If a whole other guild threatened their guild? DECLARATION OF WAR lead by a Titan of a Master, and woe to anyone unfortunate to get lost in the crossfire.

Another example being when Mest threatened that the Magic Council was gonna call for a seige of the island (or worse an Etherion blast) to take out Grimiore Heart and Acnologia. And Natsu??? He was *PISSED*

In fact I think the prime example of this mentality is Tenrou arc. The next contenders being Tartaros and Phantom Lord

Now if you mean you wish more characters were openly selfish like this apart from Erza, Natsu and Makorav? Then that I can agree with. But unyielding Loyalty to the Guild no matter the cost was definitely a sentiment held by all members.

An underrated aspect about Fairy Tail I wished was explored more was how selfish the guild can be.

Natsu, in the very first chapter, makes mention to Bora that he doesn't care if he's good or evil, but the simple fact he made the guild look bad was what sent him over the edge.

Or how, during the Moulin Rogue Omake, Erza makes a similar statement where she did not care about Bisca's struggles or that she stole stuff from others. But was only pissed at her because she damaged Fairy Tail's name.

There are other examples like the guild disregarding the guild civil war law when Phantom attacked 3 members, or how they basically stripped all of Edolos of their magic because the king targeted Fairy Tail. Or even Erza straight up telling Lucy and Gray to their faces to abandon the demons cursed in Galuna all because they betrayed Makarov's trust. There's a lot more examples I can think of during early Fairy Tail.

Stuff like those made me appreciate the cast more (and reminds me a bit of the Straw Hats), and I really wished we saw that more often. It made Fairy Tail just a bit more unique on that front.

You can tell by the reaction people have to Penelope asking Colin to kiss her whether they ever experienced being a wallflower/insecure fat girl at a party or not.

Because you say it's pathetic, I say it's relatable, no matter how desperate it may sound. If you've never had your insecurity eat you up from the inside (but also the outside, as Portia literally told Penelope that she was delusional for thinking she was gonna find a husband in her third season out) to the point you genuinely, wholeheartedly believe no one will ever love you unless you physically change, then obviously the scene is off to you.

But Pen literally told Colin she felt stupid for thinking she's gonna find a husband (she just started believing what the ton and her mother said) and that she knows no one would want to kiss her. And for a romance girl like her, do you think the thought of never having a kiss, never experiencing that passion, would be easy to bear? I can so relate to being the most romantic of the bunch but also being the loneliest and aching for physical and emotional romantic love.

She is so vulnerable and so real in that moment but y'all gotta bitch about it because it doesn't make sense to you. It doesn't make sense to me either because she's gorgeous, but that's the thing - no one ever told her she's gorgeous and actually meant it. And even if they did, there must be 10 more people who didn't that keep that insecurity in her, specifically her sisters and her mother.

Nicola said this one was for the wallflowers, and it truly is, so if you find scenes like this cringe, you just don't relate to the character enough to feel it and recall moments when you had the same thoughts as her.

The file with “sex: fluid” definitely got a bunch of people unfortunately. While that just translates to either intersex or “shapeshifter who can have any body they want”, I think it’s reasonable to say he’s also canonically genderfluid though.

I mean, the writers/directors/Tom have talked about his genderfluidity several times- and while I’m positive the majority of them don’t actually know what genderfluidity is or the difference between gender and sex- given that him being openly genderfluid in the comics is such a big part of his character, I think it’s pretty reasonable to use their statements as confirmation.

I don’t even really mind that they worded the file the way they did, because I love shapeshifter loki content & the idea of loki being intersex. I just wish they’d also included something a bit more substantial as far as gender in the series. Like it wouldn’t have killed anyone to have one off handed line about “well sometimes I’m a woman” etc.

Smth that's been bothering me about the Loki fandom in regards to Loki + the series is the fact that Loki isn't technically genderfluid - he is canonically intersex. Which can be possible at the same time, but it is fundamentally different. Genderfluid is in regards to gender/presentation. Intersex has to do with the actual biology side of it.

Idk it just feels a little bit like the continuous circulation of misinterpretation of canon and mild erasure of the actual identity confirmed. Not intentional, at least I think, but still unfortunate.
