Martin, as the spiritfarer, is a white man with half-long reddish brown curly hair with a white streak at the front. He wears fogged over glasses, black trousers, a blue sweater, and a mint green capelet with the everlight as a clasp.

Jon, as one of the spirits, has a moth like appearance. They have brown skin, long black hair with grey streaks, and brown moth neck fuzz, antennae, and wings. He also has four arms, and glowing green eyes. The green of their eyes also appears in his moth wings, and is the colour of Martin's everlight clasp. Jon is wearing a grey skirt and a green sweater over a white shirt.

The sprites are simple, and based in shape on the human sprites from Undertale. On the right of the canvas the artist's signature reads "Moss and Pebble '23". End ID

I have never appreciated metatags so much as I do now that I’m in the batman fandom. If I had to OR filter my searches for any possible fandom tag I’d read from it would take forever to do and possibly some literal research.

This is half an ao3 appreciation post (tag wranglers, i love you, you are the true heroes of this world), and half a psa for people who don’t know about OR searches or parent/metatags (there’s probably a better explanation for metatags, but this was my favorite of the ones i could find).

ao3 puts an incredible amount of work into making sure users have a lot of control over what works they do and do not want to find and i love them for it

Bulk downloading tools for images

I've been obsessively bulk downloading Twitter artists because of how uncertain the future of the platform is. I've also gotten into bulk downloading images as a faster alternative to my usual saving methods. I figured I might as well share the tools I use! I'm a Mac user, so all of these tools are both Mac and Windows accessible.

WFDownloader

An absolutely excellent bulk downloading tool. This app handles many more websites than gallery-dl, and it's particularly good for downloading entire Twitter pages. What's more, you can still download images from sites that aren't technically supported via the crawler feature. WFDownloader also gets major points for having highly detailed tutorials and a very responsive, helpful dev you can email for assistance.

Gallery-dl

This is a command line program, so it requires a bit of tech savvy. Most of the steps are outlined on the Github page. This program allows you to bulk download things like Pixiv pages, Tumblr blogs, Deviantart galleries, Instagram pages, etc. Some websites (like Pixiv) may require user authentication; the GitHub page outlines the steps each authentication process requires.

ESUIT

A Chrome extension that lets you bulk download Facebook galleries (something the two aforementioned tools don't do). The only drawback is that the free, basic version only lets you download the first 300 pictures in an album; you'll have to upgrade to a paid membership if you want to bulk download more than 300 photos. However, it's still a very helpful tool, especially if you're only planning on downloading smaller albums.

These are the 3 bulk downloaders I can personally vouch for, although many more exist. Feel free to recommend your own.

Go through the big exploit archives. Star in the 1990s. Look through exploits. Figure out how they worked. Turn the clock forward to the modern era, so you slowly accustom yourself to newer exploitation techniques.

Get really good at x86 assembler, and learn IDA Pro and OllyDbg.
