Random 2012 hcs I have in no particular order:

-Leo is blind as fuck and no one (including him) knows it yet

-Raph is color blind

-Mikey had a lazy eye as a kid (“use both ya eyes”)

-Splinter determined who was the oldest by who lost their black alien eyes first and got normal eyes (they had completely black eyes as babies)

-Donnie has gotten multiple stern lectures from different adults (Fugitoid, Rockwell, Bishop, and even Mr O’Neil) on how ass his lab safety is (genuinely this boy needs to be supervised, I’m a STEM student irl and that shit is INSANE)

-each of the turtles is allergic to some kind of food to different degrees but doesn’t know it because they are mostly worms and algae their whole life; Leo = kiwi, Raph = soy, Mikey = peanuts, Donnie = shellfish (Leo and Donnie have the most severe reactions which is basically to just keel over and ascend/descend to the afterlife respectively)

-Donnie is allergic to bees

-April gets really bad seasonal allergies

-Casey is dyslexic

-Donnie has multiple burn marks and scars from blowing up his lab

-Casey’s family is lowkey ass and that’s why we don’t see them in the show

-Dr Rockwell gives Donnie constant shit for his lab procedures

-Donnie makes anonymous YouTube videos on IT topics and gets in arguments with people in the comments

-Casey is a trans guy

-Leo is cheating on the team with another Mazes and Mutants (D&D) group (where he plays the stupidest joke characters he can think of)

-Casey and Donnie drink near-fatal amounts of caffeine

-Casey smokes (both weed and cigarettes)

-Leo’s little healing hand trick can go way further and he can also practice other forms of magic (but once it’s discovered villains 100% go after him to abuse it)

-Both Casey and April fell behind in school as the series progressed but Donnie helped bail them out

-during the whole Broken Foot thing Leo lowkey stole a bunch of Shredder’s cash and found a way to put it in funds under April and Casey’s names (he found it very hard to justify stealing but he did it anyways)

-Casey is like 90% titanium rods like Jackie Chan

-Raph and Mikey bond over their love for animals a lot

-Casey has wanted a pet raccoon his whole life

-Whenever Casey insults Raph he will push back Casey’s bangs to reveal a comically large forehead

-Leo got lost in the sewers multiple times as a kid

-Miley got stuck in random places multiple times as a kid

-Donnie has a secret folder full of instructions on how make bombs

-Donnie 100% tracks everyone’s location

-Eventually after enough incidents they all started wearing little body cams Donnie made

-Donnie hacked into local banks databases and erased Mr Oneil’s debts

-The turtles all REALLY like strawberries

-the boys have the DNA of multiple humans aside from Splinter and other animals since they made contact with them in the pet store

-there are WAY more mutants in New York than what is seen in the show

-Mikey and Casey sprayed themselves in the face with spray paint multiple times

Arizona’s End of the Year Roundup

Hey, besties! This has been a fucking year, let me tell you, and life really decided to throw me some curve balls over this last month just to keep me on my toes.

2024 was a year of new journeys—I started my new life of official singledom, I cut off all of my hair, I quit the best job I’ve ever had to start a new one with better opportunities, I got healthier both mentally and physically, and lost 50 lbs, I got many new piercings and tattoos, I made new friends, and for the first time in probably my entire life, I got to be happy and focus on myself. Things weren’t always smooth; there were definitely hiccups along the way, but you know what? I made it, and you did, too.

I just wanna thank everyone for their love and support. All of the comments and asks I got this past year, really kept me going, and you have no idea what they meant to me. I LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️

My favorite thing I wrote: Javi’s bit about grief in chapter 32 of LTL. I was battling my own grief at the time, and it was very cathartic to go on a similar journey as Cielito, and for her to have someone so loving and supportive.

My least favorite thing I wrote: It’s only because it’s fighting me and the words aren’t coming as easy as usual, but chapter 35 of LTL. Love the content, hate the difficulty.

The thing I’m most surprised I wrote: Columba. I saw one preview for Gladiator 2, heard his voice, and I was done for.

My guilty pleasure that I wrote with me in mind: but he’s the one I want. DBF!Joel has me in a chokehold right now and I maybe, possibly might be writing a follow up…

Bienvenidos a Psicología de Alta Consciencia

Mi nombre es Juan Manuel, creador y administrador de este blog, soy Psicólogo Clínico y me dedico a la consulta privada. La primera publicación que realicé en este espacio con fines didácticos en Psicología fue el 9 de marzo del 2014 con una breve frase de mi propio cuño:

“El cuerpo es la prueba viviente de que la mente influye sobre la materia”.

Dando inicio así a esta etapa de publicaciones en psicología y filosofía con vertiente en el Budismo y en el Advaita Vedanta, así que este blog surgió con un corte espiritual, mas no religioso.

Como dato curioso, en principio este blog no lo abrí con fines psicológicos ni filosóficos como actualmente es, sino que en el año 2010, cuando decidí crear un blog en esta plataforma, lo hice con la idea de publicar fotografías de estílo gótico y con el nombre de "Dark Gothic Wave", y no nació como Psicología de Alta Consciencia.

En ese entonces me encontraba estudiando el 5° semestre de la maestría en Filosofía, la cual fue muy demandante, así que abandoné este blog durante un par de años. En esta fecha aún yo no tenía ninguna relación con temas espirituales ni orientales, incluso estaba por completo enfocado en los rigurosos lineamientos de investigación y práctica psicológica, muy lejos de asuntos espirituales.

Posteriormente en el año 2012 tuve el tan llamado "despertar de consciencia", justo en la fiesta de cumpleaños de mi hermana que ese día cumplía años. ¿Un despertar de consciencia en una fiesta de cumpleaños? Bueno, el despertar es cuando es.

A partir de ahí, más por curiosidad que por ser alguien espiritual, comencé a investigar más acerca de este ámbito, encontrando mucha información, libros y maestros, y acercándome a algunos de ellos que aún estań en vida, como por ejemplo mi Maestra Eva que tuve en mis inicios con el Advaita Vedanta (no-dualidad), con la cual aprendí muchísimo en esos años por el 2014 y 2015.

Sucesivamente seguí aprendiendo y desaprendiendo por mi cuenta en mi propio recorrido, actividad que aún realizo, un recorrido que nunca termina. Como dijera Gautama Buda: "Cuando llegues a la cima de la montaña sigue escalando".

Ya en este punto, decidí borrar todas las publicaciones de estilo dark y gótico que tenía en este blog, quedando completamente limpio, le cambié el nombre al actual Psicología de Alta Consciencia, y como nadie me seguía decidí usarlo de blog de notas personal, donde escribía notas de mis propias ideas y pensamientos acerca de Budismo, Taoísmo, Advaita, etc., con la finalidad de tenerlas disponibles para mí cuando yo quisiera. Mi sorpresa fue que mucha gente empezó a seguir mi blog, fue entonces que me surgió la idea de continuar publicando pero ya no nada más para mí sino también para toda aquella persona que le interesara. Así nació este espacio, aunque el concepto "Psicología de Alta Consciencia" lo acuñé desde el 2012, cuando abrí mi sitio web. Pasé de tener 0 seguidores a un tanto más de 49,000 hasta hoy junio de 2024.

Gracias a todos, y este blog seguirá hasta donde tenga qué llegar, después de ello quedará para la posteridad mientras siga existiendo Tumblr y el internet.

PIZZA RAMEN!!!

Wanted to celebrate the upcoming crossover of TMNT and Naruto, hehe. 2012 gave us pizza gyoza, so of COURSE I had to try pizza ramen. It was (possibly surprisingly) really good!! It's cool because it still had a distinctly ramen flavor, not just pizza in ramen shape.

Recipe under the cut, if anyone wants to try it fshaklghkld

BASE

28oz can of diced tomatoes (this could probably be crushed or sauce, too, idk. Or fresh tomatoes)

1 cup of broth (I used chicken broth)

2 Tbsp of miso paste

1 tsp of ginger

1/4 cup of soy sauce

Fresh basil, idk it was like 7 large leaves? Maybe 2 tbsp of chopped-up basil

I basically cooked the tomatoes, soy sauce, and ginger in a soup pot over medium-high or a little bit. This is probably more important if you use fresh tomatoes? Like 2ish minutes, then I added the broth and miso. Brought it to a boil, reduced to a simmer, and cooked it while I did everything else. Added the basil about halfway through.

Thin out with water as needed. I also tried blending the tomatoes, but I was kind of lazy with it. I think next time I'd rather get tomato sauce and then like, a single fresh tomato for some chunks.

Looked like it made enough for 6-8 bowls of ramen? We'll see though :P

TOPPINGS (all optional, but I recommend at least the mozzarella, garlic, and a protein)

Mozzarella (I used the pearls)

Ramen egg (just soft-boiled, marinated in mirin and soy sauce, there's a bunch of recipes online lol)

Roasted garlic cloves (set oven to 400 F. Peel cloves of garlic, put them in aluminum foil with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Scrunch up the top of the aluminum foil to make a little bag. Cook for 20 minutes

Cubed ham steak (just cooked on the stove with a little butter so it was browned)

Pepperoni (also crisped up on the stove)

Sauteed mushrooms (I used shiitake)

Black olives

Sliced green onion

Chocó es una mujer campesina, negra, en la plenitud de sus veinte años, lleva a cuestas una familia de dos hijos menores y a Everlides, su esposo, un músico que sólo sabe tocar marimba, beber biche y jugar dominó. Bullerengue - Wikipedia

El bullerengue o bullarengue es un ritmo musical y una danza del Caribe Colombiano1​y de la provincia de Darién, Panamá.

El bullerengue se caracteriza por ser un baile cantado,​cuya danza es de mujeres solamente, de ancestro africano, al parecer desprendida de las costumbres rituales del Palenque de San Basilio, formando parte de los actos de iniciación de las jóvenes a la pubertad, tomando como referencia a Cartagena​

En Colombia es ejecutado principalmente por los actuales descendientes de los cimarrones que habitaron el Palenque de San Basilio.​ En el país, "bullerengue" o "bullarengue"4​significa "pollerón" (falda grande, usada especialmente en fiestas).
