Pile 1 I'm sorry, the first thing I noticed was that my eyes kept forcing themselves to shut down for some reason it's like when you are thinking about someone and you sort of force yourself not to that's the vibe. long rambling about Kevin smh, but this thoughts been bothering me for a bit, sorry if it’s unorganized.

Y’all can we stop reducing Kevin as a single celled organism 💔, he’s his own character with numerous traits, why do people reduce him to “Kevin boy failure!!! So cutie patootie skunkle-bob skinny twink man!!!!! He’s absolutely die if we was by himself!!”, like vro what 😭

I haven’t done a full character analysis on Kevin, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I very much do NOT believe that “he’d kill skid and pump if given the chance!” Like what??? No he?? Wouldn’t??? He’s a normal man??

Kevin is a human being, not a monster. He doesn’t hate them (not a lot anyways, I assume), he gets very irritated with them and it’s very understandable why he does.

Skid and Pump, in all honesty, need to learn basic manners and like, not cause several crimes. You can say that “they’re just kids! They don’t know any better!” But I don’t know anyone who had a childhood where it involves messing up several stores, causing problems for the employees, committing damage to private property, and assault (if you’re counting when they got possessed by Moloch.)

But back to the main thing, Kevin would NOT kill them! He’s tired of working and I get that, he’s tired and most likely underpaid, being the only one to work there at the CandyClub each day so he’s tired, underpaid, and Skid and Pump make his job and mental health worse. He’s not some “twink” who would kill two kids, he’s probably in his mid 20’s trying to get a date somewhere while also trying to pay his rent, afford food, afford clothes, and pay for all his entertainment needs (streaming services, WiFi, etc). He wants to be happy just like anyone else, and he wants to get money the LEGAL way.

He wants to be happy, and despite people saying “he’d kill skid and pump!” he DOES care about them. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have asked that question in episode 6, “and why is an old dude hanging around kids?”, if he didn’t care, he wouldn’t have asked. Kevin cares about those kids, like he cares about anyone else, even though it was his first day in the shirt and he snapped at them, I don’t entirely blame him for it.

Two kids came into your store on your first day, asked you for free things and when you declined they mess it up so you end up giving them free stuff anyways. I understand why he snapped, and me personally, I would have too. But that doesn’t mean he hates the kids, it was his first day and he just didn’t wanna be fired!

I also gotta love how society sees a man interested in more than one gender and go like “OOOOOOO YESSS. Let’s get rid of his ENTIRE character traits and EVERY theory, and lets mold his character into ONE singular shape and lets only use him for bad angst and shipping purposes!!”

Kevin is MORE than a side character used for shipping purposes, the man’s had a prophetic dream of all things and you all are focused on the fact that he’s into every gender possible?? Can we get some theories about this man? Cause where are those at??? I don’t see anything about that, and it all depends on where the timeline is for the Kevin short.

“I had nightmares you two!”, was a line he said in episode 5, so if everything they’ve done was true, shouldn’t he technically be able to guess what happens to himself and the town? And possibly the WORLD???

You all can have your headcanons and see Kevin in your own eyes, but we need to STOP reducing cool characters as a single celled organism who revolves around “twinks twinks twinks twinks. Ooo gay men. Twink twink twinks.”

Oh this one! This is a never completed WIP I wrote while waiting for DATV to come out. It is Solavellan hell at its finest. This features my Inquisitor Yavna Lavellan. Enjoy a little snippet, but I don't know that I would ever finish this after the way things played out in DATV.

Many things had to be adjusted in the years as the Inquisition transitioned from their own independent organization into the security forces of the Divine. Inquisitor Lavellan had slowly adjusted to her new life and her new role. It was decidedly slower compared to the days when the Inquisition was at its largest and most influential. Most days she missed the busyness that her old life had given her. During her regular chats with Dorian via sending stones she would lament how droll things were now. And he would remind her with that oh so knowing tone in his voice that she’d been drowning at several points in the Inquisition days. She would roll her eyes despite knowing he couldn’t see her and then he would inevitably ask the question she always hated.

“How’s your pain dear?”

“It comes and goes, like it always does, like it has for years, Dorian,” she replied with unmasked resignation.

“You know I have to ask. What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t?” he huffed in frustration back at her.

“The kind of friend that is smart enough to know that it’s been nearly 10 years, if it was going to drastically change it would have done so by now.”

“10 years is plenty of time for things to change, to degrade.” The way he carefully placed the word degrade into his sentence made her think of her hunting days with her clan. The word was clipped ever so gently like pulling back the snare of a trap just taut enough to snap shut when the prey was properly placed, but not so much the line would break rendering the whole process useless.

“Don’t we all degrade over time?” she said wistfully.

“I don’t,” she could practically see the smug look on his face, “I still look just as youthful and pristine as the last time you saw me.”

“I have it on good authority that you’re going gray at your temples,” she teased.

“Which proves just how timeless my beauty must be!”

She laughed, heartily, like she always did during these talks. They would catch up on the hotly debated topics of their respective ends of the continent, gossip about their friends from the inquisition days, and mercilessly tease each other until inevitably one of them would start to yawn and the conversations would come to a close. This evening it was Yavna’s turn to begin the ending of their conversation.

“It seems I’m keeping my elder up past her regularly scheduled bedtime,” he remarked, though she could hear the trace of exhaustion in his own voice.

“One of these days I’m going to haul my arse up to Tevinter and we can decide which of us has aged the most poorly.”

“Dear, don’t do that to yourself. I thought you were past engaging in self destructive behaviors.” His joke fell flat as she felt the sting of his words fall too close to her heart.

“Just like the pain it comes and goes,” she tried to joke in reply, but no laughter came from the stone in her hand.

“That was cruel, I’m sorry my friend,” he said softly.

“It’s fine, it’s late, we’re both tired. I should be able to joke about these things by now shouldn’t I?”

“Everything in its own time. Yours is not exactly the most typical of wounds.”

“Please take care of yourself, and stay safe,” she insisted.

“I always do, and you do the same,” he replied.

The vibrations of the magical connection in her palm ceased and she placed the stone in its cherished place on her nightstand.

22. Are there certain types of writing you won't do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

tbh for me a lot of stuff is never say never! i like to think i'm willing to try anything once because i like a challenge sometimes :) HOWEVER. with that being said. there are two things that i did in fact try once and will almost definitely never do again: write in present tense, and write from paul briggs' perspective. one of my wips 'something's in your eyes' is written in present tense bc i was like hehe silly fun challenge!! it is not silly or fun i'm being dragged across hot coals #girl help. as for writing from briggs' perspective (for the wip polyamickfic) that is once again me being like ooo it'll be fun NO!!! he is so STUPID and COMPLICATED it's so difficult I HATE HIMMMM😭

my style is definitely character and emotion driven!! like. those r my little freaks and i love making them feel things. it's as shrimple as that <3

OOOOOOO okay tbh i know some ppl like to burn canon at the stake and that is very necessary for balance in the ecosystem of course. but i do not live that life. every time i directly reference or quote canon an angel gets its wings bc those moments are always soooo gut punching to me and it's soooo fun. it's a reminder of the fact that i am building off of a preexisting entity and when i move pieces of that entity into a different context i am still carrying all the shit that comes with it!! kamala harris voice u did not just fall out of a coconut tree u exist within the context etc etc and so on and so forth like in trial by fire i used the mikepaige fox trap metaphor because like. that specific canon conversation they had DEEPLY informs the choices they both make in that fic!! while i deeply respect fics that take characters completely out of canon, PERSONALLYYYYY canon and i are kissing with tongue #SORRY. my favorite kind of fics to write are fics where i change ONE thing from canon and delve into all the changes that ripple out from it.

Era: Post-Saint in a different facility entirely during a drought period induced by most Iterators dying out. Food is scarce, and there's no rain - only suffocating heat.

Diet: Batflies, Blue Fruit, Baby Centipedes - Each fills only one fourth of a pip. Larger amounts of food cause shock due to how overeating after starvation works irl. Four pips, no spillover. (OOOO|)

Abilities: Can starve one more cycle in a row before death. Always statistically considered to be in a starvation state. Can play dead.

Iterator: Calls Upon the Sea / CUTS, a lonesome Iterator whose facility acted as a giant lighthouse. Desperately pleading their siblings in their Local Group to say something, anything, unaware that they are the last one standing.

DRAGON SLAYER (anti-Refugee)

Era: Post-Pacifist, Pre-Riptide

Diet: Carnivorous. 1.5x pips from Lizards, 1/2x from any other creatures. Same amount of pips as Artificer. (OOOOOO|OOO)

Abilities: Same combat capabilities as Hunter. Deals 2x damage to all Lizards at the cost of always being fatally bit by them and locked at the lowest possible reputation with them. Bad swimming and balance due to lack of tail. Same mass as Gourmand.

Iterator: N/A. Avoided by Overseers due to attacking them one too many times.

MOTHER

Era: Post-Monk, almost immediately so. Outer Expanse is flourishing with Slugcats.

Diet: Default. Same pips as Artificer, in addition to two sets of three pips to also attend to. (OOOOOO|OOO + OOO|x2)

Abilities: Has a pair of Pups that they absolutely must take care of, or else they must repeat the cycle. Average stats. Can carry both pups on their back at once. If implemented in-game, players two and three are their pups when using Jolly Co-op. Combat stats are buffed if one or both of their pups are in danger.

Iterator: N/A. Too focused on keeping their pups safe - cans are dangerous!

SCHOLAR

Era: Pre-and-post-Martyr. Their first journey is to collect colored pearls for their Iterator before the heat burns them out, and their second is to deliver a message to CUTS.

Diet: N/A. Pips represent current charge (OOOOOOO|) and space for pearl storage (|OOO) respectively. Nap, hibernate, or interact with sources of electricity (Centipedes, Zappers, Electric Spears, etc) to charge. Charge slowly drains as they move and act. The heat will make them overheat if they spend too long outside between hibernations.

Era: Undetermined, possibly before The Great Ascension. Maybe Technomancer mod era?

Diet: Carnivorous. Incapable of consuming Black Lizards. Same pips as Spearmaster, due to the slow metabolism of underground creatures. (OOOOO|OOOOO)

Abilities: Blind. Mechanically, this means everything has the Shaded Citadel or Filtration System filter. Edges of terrain are illuminated as if with Monk's Citadel assist effect to represent the Covert relying on sound and touch. Sources of sound are illuminated better, and all non-ambient noises have their volume increased. Faster tunneling speed than any other.

Iterator: there's a nonzero chance only LttM exists here

STARFALLEN

Era: Paradoxically before Spearmaster and yet after Saint. Rubicon is present.

Diet: Carnivorous. Not sure on the pips.

Abilities: Capable of holding and producing a charge similar to Centipedes. Immune to stuns or damage Centipede and Jellyfish shocks, instead entering an overcharged state that gives them mild contact damage and stuns to enemies susceptible to electricity. Can charge Electric Spears and electrocute creatures via mauling.

Iterator: Sixteen Shooting Stars, a strange Iterator whose can is only accessible in Rubicon.

REFUGEE

Era: Immediately after Monk.

Diet: Same as Monk, including the pips. (OOO|OO)

Abilities: Weaker and lighter than Monk, but also swifter. Lizard taming odds are doubled.

Iterator: Looks to the Moon, like their other siblings!

GATHERER

Not created with playability in mind. Basically a cross between Gourmand and Hunter, their parents.

WEAVER

Not created with playability in mind. An unstable cross between Rivulet and Spearmaster, their parents.

*As the Oyster-Caviar family's boat settle in the middle of sea, Bubble Pearl looked out the sea. She was lost in thought, worried about tonight.*

Sorbet Shark: OooOoooooO?

Bubble Pearl: *snaps out of it* Huh? *looks at Sorbet Shark* Oh! Sorbet Shark! Sorry about that. I was just thinking about tonight.

Sorbet Shark: Ooo? Oooo OoooooOooOoo?

Bubble Pearl: Just a little. I'm not sure what to do. *pats Sorbet Shark's head* But don't worry. I'm sure it'll work out.

*Sorbet Shark nodded and ran over to Captain Caviar and Puffer. Bubble Pearl looked back at the sea.*

Bubble Pearl: (No need to worry about tonight. Just like mother said, if tonight no one catches my interest, we won't worry about it. Especially if...)

*Before Bubble Pearl could finish that thought, Oyster called to her.*

Oyster: Bubble Pearl. Are you ready?

Bubble Pearl: Oh! Yeah! Coming! *walks next to Oyster* Okay, I'm here.

Oyster: *smiles* The sea is beautiful today. Perfect for a swim.

Bubble Pearl: *eyes shining* Really?

Oyster: Of course. It can help ease nerves for today. Let's get going.

*Two minutes later, Bubble Pearl, Sorbet Shark, and Oyster were standing on the railing. Captain Caviar and Puffer were standing behind them.*

Captain Caviar: If anything happens, break up to the surface. We'll get ya out.

Oyster: We will. But it should be fine. I don't think there will be any problems. *looks at Bubble Pearl and Sorbet Shark.* Ready?

Sorbet Shark: OooOOoo!

Bubble Pearl: Ready.

*The three jumped into the water and transformed into their mermaid forms. Oyster and Bubble Pearl twisted themselves to see their gray-white tails.*

Oyster: Even after doing this so many times, it's still a sight to see these tails.

Sorbet Shark: Your tails are so pretty!! They could rival a Gem Mermaid's tail!

Bubble Pearl: A Gem Mermaid? What's that?

Sorbet Shark: Merfolks that have a gemstone given to them and have powers that were gifted by the Sea. I think Grandma Black Pearl is one of them.

Oyster: Really? Mother never said anything about that. That's a question for her next visit.

Sorbet Shark: Sounds good! But until then, race ya! *quickly swims away*

Bubble Pearl: Hey! Wait up! You little cheater! *races after them*

Oyster: Oh dear. *swims after them* Where are you going?

Sorbet Shark: To my favorite coral reef here! You guys are goona love it!

*Unknowing to them, three little jellyfish start following them. From a distance, a giant ship with a star flag sailed toward the direction of the Crème Republic, about to cross the family's path.*

I actually haven’t, it would not load on my computer and I fully gave up lol, but honestly you know what I think is funny? I like to do tasks I really don’t want to do by pretending like they’re genshin side quests (“fold 5 pieces of clothing”) and it actually really motivates me. I know that has literally nothing to do w playing the game in actuality, but I thought it was funny and wanted to share. BUT YEAH I heard it was a huge huge mess because people didn’t like a lot of things. Do you still play? Also, I’ve been watching a lot of gameplay about Resident Evil, and I wish I could play but I’m too broke. Have you ever played?

HAHA, I have two good friends who do comp sci and I agree that it’s the biggest love hate relationship. I grew up surrounded by computers, so I am familiar with more of the hardware side, but I always wish I could learn how to code. It always overstimulated me and I’d get frustrated so fast. Are you planning on majoring in it? (Or however your school system works, not sure if it’s different)
