I translated the trailer before those subtitles went up on the official channel. Also, I am promoting the official channel everywhere and trying drive as much engagement to the official sources. I also made sure not to cross social network paths so am not on insta or tiktok and my YouTube is 6yrs old. Established way before this remake.

I do understand your concern but am also in tricky spot because I want the remake to succeed but people also need to know that it exist. Hence why I went pretty hard on the promotion of it. Across all my networks and other skam influencers like AllOfSKAM. Being an old guard Skam vet we just have a bigger presences in the fandom.

No matter what tho we will translate the season mainly because allofskam uses my translation for the official remake site and in the past they tried using the one provided by a remake and got flagged by the remake for copyright as they own those translations. But maybe I can do like a delay drop so the official channel gets all the initial viewerships. so maybe drop all the translate clips once a week like an episode. I doubt the Shibs will have any issues at all with current ice dance content even in the short time they’ve got before US nationals. They were good at lifts, and the tech requirements have been watered down beyond recognition since they were active. Choreo elements are never actually marked on execution.

It’s conditioning and relearning how to manage competition adrenaline that might be more difficult.

oh i don't think the issue will be with their skating ability, more that their programs aren't exactly the style that has been more popular lately. They have Scali on their side though so that will help.

For what it's worth, a source that i fully trust said they heard rumbling about the shibs coming back at skam 2024, and they said the shibs have been serious about training for 8-ish months now. But they've also been traveling a lot and Alex had an awkward blonde phase. Anyway I guess we shall see.

I am happy that Maia is healthy enough to train at this level. Life is extremely fleeting, so to feel good enough to train and compete is good for her.

I wish they would do smtg about their RD programme, they're great skaters and they can do lotsa things and it makes me wonder like why they feel a lit bit reserved when it comes on doing the actual thing. Their last 2 RD has more life into it! I used to thing to myself that idk this sports and how its being judge (the points) but as a fan i feel like they're being let down.

There's no time to make any big changes to either program before Skate America, unfortunately. I don't know how long it takes them to learn something new on the ice and get comfortable enough with it but when Bella has talked about it I don't recall them making any big changes so close to a competition specially after coming back from one.

The only thing I would change for SkAm is his pants (to a darker blue or black) because I get what some folks have been saying about her blending into him.

I like so many parts of this program but this time around, even with the costumes, I'm struggling to love it. I think it's because (to me) there's no cohesion between the songs so I don't know what the vibe is supposed to be plus it seems like they're doing a lot of dance moves they're not comfortable with. Hopefully they can smooth out this program a bit as the season progresses 🤞🏽

i was a skam hater at first because it started when i lived in norway (the first time) and i hated it here so bad, but then when i moved to england and i saw people get into it around the globe i was like ok fine i'll watch it. it's really good! though i think my favourite part of it all was flexing on everyone having to wait for translations every time there was an update which is probably why i never got into any of the remakes lmao

My heart really went out to Maël here. His journey to this point was so emotional, and he's still not completely to terms with it, and then he essentially got verbally smacked in the face for simply speaking his truth.

And when you look at some of the other survey results in the same study, it's easy to see why.
