i'm one hundred percent certain that after percy and annabeth made out underwater. and he wanted to make their relationship official. the question was not "will you be my girlfriend?" but "can i be your boyfriend?" i don't care what the canon says. percy gave annabeth the space to take the lead in the relationship. because after a lifetime of being abandoned by everyone she dared to care for. and then watching her on the brink of a panic attack at the thought of losing him the last four years. he wanted to honor a new beginning between them by follow her lead and moving at her pace.

Yes Pete has great character development in the desconstructing of toxic masculinity department but can we talk about the development from episode 1 Mr. "I should have 20 kills by now at least" opening scene goes to "Does giving a cursed suit away make us....bad people" Pete u r so sweet and so stupid ily

Also the pattern that sun (grian), stars (scott), and flame (cleo) are the three things to really make a point of defying Their endless gaze.

Who are the observers with many eyes to tell the sun not to rise, not to show itself upon the world and be seen, to give the gift of sight to those under its glows? Who are they to tell the stars not to guide the lost and confused through the night, not to spread the hope of their steady unshaking glow? Who are they to tell fire to only burn how they wish it to? Who are they to tie the sun to earth and expect it to only shine only for it? Who are they to think they can order the fires out of the stars?

They are observers, eyes upon eyes through which to see, but just because they are sight does not mean vision exists for them. Light does not bend at the will of the observer, will not be contained or regulated, will not bend for the amusement of one observer when there's a whole world to shine upon. Sight itself is a gift from the sun, from the stars, from flickering flames. They exist to be witnessed for all their endless will and strength, but they are not owned by their observers, they are the ones who grant sight.

Do you guys see my vision? I'm so normal about this symbolism.

YA AMAR?!?!? my eyes have been opened and also soooooo true about sun damian/moon jon. I’m curious about the thoughts you have on the dynamic because most go with the “the moon can’t shine without the sun” thing but idk if it’s fully applicable here

i love damian having such a sentimental side. he does not want anyone to know but that boy is so damn sentimental deep down.

also SUN DAMIAN MOON JON!!! i agree i don't think the whole 'moon can't shine without the sun' thing works for here necessarily but i do think there is still something to say about jon reflecting damian's light back. like damian's an important person in jon's growth as a hero, jon sees damian as someone so bright and good that it overcomes the surrounding darkness. nothing shines on the sun, it has to get its fire and light from within, and light up the empty space around it. I think on some level jon doesn't think he can really reach the level of a shining star, he's trying so so hard to emulate the goodness of his dad/other heroes. but he grows as a person and hero and sees damian's shining, unapologetic in his heat and light, and decides if he can't shine like his dad he can try and reflect damian.

for damian on the other hand, I think he finds Jon's light beautiful and bright. Damian's known Jon from the beginning of Jon's journey, he's seen Jon's changes (moon phases?? am i reaching??). Damian doesn't view Jon's inspiration/'reflecting of other's light' as not being able to shine on his own or reach something else. The moon takes all the light around and refracts it, bends it, shines it down on earth and turns it into something beautiful and romantic and aspirational. people want to reach the moon. and also jon doesn't need to light the world around him, he's surrounded by light and good, and instead of just keeping it he shares it. he spreads it around to everyone he can, even if he doesn't think it's enough. damian loves that about jon.

of course neither jon or damian are aware that the other thinks this way about them, because jondami is the most fun when both of them are in their head and deliriously self-critical.

happy halloween! you may have seen these silly little guys running about trick or treating! if they missed you, they got tuckered out 😅 little bodies have little batteries after all!

they had a lot of fun today! and I had a lot of fun these past couple of days too!

i'll catch up with some more of you tomorrow, i just have... another day out of my cave tomorrow 🫠 so i gotta go sleep now!

After spending all of her time within the underground, Jill Valentine preferred not to be blinded by the sun when it showed itself. Coming to the top wasn't common for her — once in a blue moon, really — so it would have been strange to most to see the goddess leaning against the doorway of the train station. Savoring the open air for a moment or two, or maybe she was just curious to see what it was like, up above.

Concealed within shadow, Jill didn't bother to approach. The glint of her necklace caught the moonlight just so, and only the faintest silhoutte could be seen, until she shifted her position ever so slightly. The cold of the snow didn't seem to bother her — she was used to warmth, down below, but her jacket protected her from the elements.

"Hell of a place to be, then."

This station wasn't meant for exploration. It was distinctly different from others — there was only one road this one travelled, and the train was waiting for her eventual return to the underworld, just within.

It begged the question of just why Cass found herself here.

Something that I find pretty intriguing is the fact that Startouch elves are bright due to the fact that they are, in fact, stars, which have incandescent light, meaning that they emit light as a result of intense heat.

So Aaravos (and Leola) could've actually been very hot to the touch because of their naturally high temperatures! ✨

Buuut...that again leads me back to when Aaravos was mourning—when he lost his one deep truth, the one that kept him burning brightly, did he feel...colder?

Anyway I'm not trying to make anyone sad today lol (even tho angst is guaranteed with him). The big takeaway is that pre-fallen Aaravos was probably a huge cuddly heated blanket + nightlight!! 😍💞💖

To be honest, I feel like it didn't turn out as well as Moon's, but I like the final result better! Our favorite knight teaching the little star how to fencing, only one of them has a real sword and the other a wooden one 😅

YN TURNS INTO LIKE A 2 Y/O

in one of Moon's classes he taught them a spell that turns people into babies or tots whichever.

Then one of the boy's accidentally fired it at yn

His face paled as a puff of smoke surrounded the princess and when it cleared, the princess was a two year old.

She stumbled on her feet and plopped, bottom first on the tile. The princess didn't react, only blinking in confusion.

(basically the spell also reverts the person's mind to a toddler as well)

The boy's eyes slowly glanced at his teacher who was glaring up a storm at him.

Everyone, including the boy ran out of the classroom for break time.

Moon didn't have the chance to be angry as the (now) little princess stared at him, practically swimming in her shirt that used to be just her size.

Can't imagine how happy (and concerned) Sun and eclipse would be abt this xD

So basically the spell can only be reversed by the person that cast it and the boy obvi doesn't know the reverse spell so it'd take a while turn yn back

So while Moon is teaching him the reverse spell (and punishing him) Sun and eclipse would take care of lil yn and I imagine reluctant to change her back too soon xD

And if this happens to present yn I imagine ESPECIALLY eclipse would be in absolutely no hurry WHATSOEVER to reverse the spell

So basically

Moon: *angy protective Papa Bear noises*

Sun + Eclipse at first: concerned

Then after it is explained that yn is not hurt or in any pain and she's completely fine:

Sun + Eclipse: ...BBY AGAIN :DD

Also-

Sun + Moon: *talking*

Eclipse: *jus holding bby in his lap and letting her play with his finger, smiling VERY happily cuz he sorta got his bby back to the way it was before*

ALSO U CANT TELL ME THAT THEY WOULDN'T ENJOY THIS IMMENSELY BECUZ EVEN WHEN SHE WAS LIL THEY DIDN'T GET TO HAVE YN WHEN SHE WAS A BBY

Eclipse coos as you bring one of his fingers up to your mouth to angrily gnaw on it. Your adult teeth long gone and now only your gummy gums remained. And they were starting to hurt.

Normally Moon would be helping you with teething, using his mana to chill his fingers so that they might help ease your pain. But he was in the middle of helping Sun redesign your room to fit your new...situation.

Sun nods along with what is being said, one hand sifting through countless room catalogs while his other hand wags a plush bunny plush/blanket hybrid in front of you. "What if we went with this one? This was one of the trendiest pieces this year."

Moon shakes his head, "The colors are too harsh for her young eyes. It might over stimulate her new senses."

He picks up one book, flipping it over, and handing it to Sun, "How about this room? The colors are very calming and it still has that crib you like."

Sun's eyes sparkle and he squeals as he takes the catalog, "Ooooh! This looks too CUTE!"

He beams at Eclipse and turns the book in a way so the Automatron could see, "What do you think love?"

Eclipse smiles at all the plush stars, the secure looking crib in the middle of the picture, and the sun and moon mobile hanging above it. It was perfect for their little star.

The Emperor looks down at you and lifts you closer to the picture, "What do you think, precious comet?"

You whine and huff, kicking at the picture. All three laugh at your angry pout.

Moon reaches his arms out and Eclipse hands you over to him, "Looks like someone is still a little grumpy at their adorableness~."

Sun holds his cheeks while cooing at you, "Precious sunbeam...You know that your papa still needs time to make a remedy. Just hang tight and allow us to spoil you silly~."

Moon nods, cradling the back of your head as he lays you on his chest, "We weren't able to be with you during this stage of your life before. So we are a tad ecstatic about the whole thing~."

You let out a huff before Moon brings the end of his hat into your line of sight. The belly was shiny and the perfect size for both your tiny hands. You babble to yourself as you grab the small ball, eyes widening when it makes a small *clink* sound.

You start rattling it around while Moon laughs.

Eclipse sighs and leans back in his chair while watching his small family be with one another. They had made the right call with delaying the making of the remedy. Now you can be a child again. And they can fix their mistakes.
