July: Blue Redux + Green Redux

I Have Found It (Kandukondain Kandukondain) / Aishwarya Rai as Meenakshi and Tabu as Sowmya

When I first designated the theme for July, I knew I had to include shots from this sequence, probably the most gorgeous riot of blue and green I've ever seen on film. I am including wide shots of most of the scenes to show the costumes of the chorus and extras as well. Note that when the two sisters are onscreen at the same time, the background characters divide themselves up so that those in blue are on Sowmya's side and those in green are on Meenakshi's.

(This is an adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, by the way. Sowmya is the equivalent to Eleanor and Meenakshi is Marianne.)

🦇 Simply Vampiric Legacy Challenge 🦇

This is a short legacy challenge focusing on the Vampires Pack. I made this to motivate me to play through all of the vampire aspirations with each generation having a bit of lore. Some of the rules and requirements are inspired by The Sims 4: Vampire Legacy by sims4lizzyuk!  You can find the image version of the rules here.

• Start your save in the fall • Move into one of the unoccupied lots in Forgotten Hollow  • Each generation must complete and max out their given aspiration, skills, and career. • All coven leaders must max Vampire Lore • If any of your vampire sims die you may not resurrect them and must keep their graves on one of your lots in Forgotten Hollow • You can only travel outside of Forgotten Hollow at night unless you have the sun resistance trait or drink the sun resistance cocktail • Only vampires are allowed to live in your household. If any of your children aren’t born vampires you must either turn them or banish them. All partners who live with you MUST be turned.

🦇 The Coven 🦇

If you have Get Together use the club feature to create your coven. The first “leader” should be your first sim’s spouse. When a new heir is chosen they become the leader of the “coven” when they age up to a young adult. You must fill up all club spots for each generation with their immediate family and sims that they’ve turned. You must have a dinner party every time a new sim is turned to celebrate the occasion.

Most of the vampires have been lost to a centuries-long war with Spellcasters. Your partner is the leader of the coven and although they’ve been doing an adequate job it hasn’t been enough to preserve it. You take it upon yourself to breathe new life into this desolate town and persuade your partner to appoint you as the new leader. Other vampires question your aspiration to become the new leader of the coven and wonder if you’re stuck in an old fashioned way of thinking. They begin to push against your leadership. How can they believe  being friends with humans is acceptable? It’s like playing with your food! You’re able to subdue the coven’s apprehension of your newfound leadership with your charismatic personality. The question is how long will they be under your vampiric charm?

💜 Generation Two 💜

You’ve been trained in the dark arts since you were a child, however, you plan to make changes to the coven for the better. You truly believe that humans and vampires can live in harmony. After decades of trying to perfect your plasma pack recipe you’re finally able to go out with humans without feeling an unquenchable thirst. With your expertise in human anatomy you become a doctor at a hospital that’s out of town where you meet your partner. You’re aware that being in a career where you help humans is tabu enough. The coven would question your authority if you knew you were in love with a human. Your partner asks you if you’ll turn them into a vampire even if it goes against everything you believe in to be able to stay together. You’ll do anything for the love of your life. After all, a love like this only comes to you once in an eternal lifetime. Can you live with yourself knowing you took your partner’s chance at a “normal” life or will you give up on true love and marry someone from the coven?

You’ve only read about the way humans live, meanwhile, they read the stories in your books written of vampires you’ve published as “fiction”. You wonder if there’s more to life than just… living. One day you come across an ancient vampire tome which speaks of a cure to vampirism. You’ve been given a great task as the new leader of the coven and feel great loyalty to them but is your need to live amongst humans more important than your family, and more importantly, are you willing to give up your eternal life?

I would like to tell you about an event called #NakedDuckWeek. As the title implies, #NakedDuckWeek is a time of art and/or fanfiction of Disney Duck characters (specifically DT17) in their bare tailfeathers in a SFW manor. That's right, I said SFW. Nudity is admittedly a pretty tabu subject and is usually related to lewd content but the goal with NDW is to have more innocent, tame and possibly even comedic nude content of these characters in the world (the way these characters are designed, that shouldn't be too much of a challenge). I would like to invite you all to join us in creating some artwork or one shot fanfics for the event. You can use any character(s) you want but try to avoid making it too sexualized. If you don't feel comfortable with this event, that's perfectly understandable, participation is 100% optional. If you are interested though, it will be held on most social media and an art site or two from September 2 until September 8. We hope to see your amazing works there!

Crew: Kareena Kapoor & Tabu's Refreshing Take on Ageism in Bollywood

I. palhaço branco: Um tipo de palhaço certinho, inteligente, que não vive sem o bobo, mas também está sempre pronto para enganá-lo. Antigamente, usava maquiagem branca, lantejoulas e chapéu cônico (1). Use a estética antiga do palhaço branco para compor um estilo dark, de terror ou simplesmente preto e branco!

II. vampiro: "Um fantasma sugador de sangue ou um morto-vivo". Popular em diversas crenças e no gênero do horror, existem vários tipos de vampiro e seu simbolismo está comumente ligado ao que é considerando tabu, refletindo os medos e conflitos da sociedade, como: a sexualidade, o sexo, doenças, problemas raciais, LGBTQIA+, solidão, religião, etc. Se inspire nisso para criar um edit vampirecore de primeira!

III. gótico: Se considerarmos o quão abrangente o tema é, chamá-lo de "amplo" é pouco. Logo, considere os seguintes sentidos e se aventure pelo mundo dos góticos:

1) conotativo: duro, bárbaro, coisas distintas e excêntricas.

2) literário/figurativo: gênero de prosa ficcional que envolve histórias de mistérios e terror, ambientes lugubres (castelos arruinados, passagens secretas, etc), fantasmas e entidades sobrenaturais.

3) movimento artístico: caracterizado como arte de catedrais, teve a arquitetura como principal meio. As construções eram verticais, bem iluminadas (com bastantes vãos e janelas circulares), como também tinham vitrais coloridos, arcos ogivais e abóbadas com nervuras. A escultura estava intimamente ligada à arquitetura, uma vez que eram usadas para decorar os exteriores; aqui surgiam as esculturas de gárgulas em grandes monumentos.

IV. lua: "A lua sabe..." Observador dos amantes, catalisador dos lobisomens, o sol dos vampiros e por aí vai. A lua sempre faz parte do palco das histórias de mistérios e horror, logo, destaque o astro em um edit dark, melancólico ou romance ligeiro macabro alá Tim Burton.

V.doppelgänger: palavra alemã que significa "duplo ambulante", refere-se a uma sósia não ligada biologicamente a uma pessoa viva. O famoso "gêmeo do mal", um alerta de mau presságio e por aí vai. Mas também há lendas que dizem que essas duplas estão fadadas a arruinar a vida um do outro... Ish, que edit sairá daqui?

VI. piratas: qualquer coisa para obter riqueza ou poder, seja com a ajuda de um grupo autônomo tão marginal quanto o capitão ou sendo um bando de um homem só. Há vários mistérios pelo mar, sereias, maldições e demais seres marinhos, mitológicos ou não, há sempre uma boa história de terror no mar.

This strangely starts off with a short shot apparently set in Southern California, then we see two similarly dressed girls hitchhiking, but it's in Germany. A car stops and they tell the driver they want to go to Möslingen, but tells them he has to detour to Potzhausen. They girls hit on the man immediately and they go to his pad, where they challenge him to have sex with them. And then a vigorous threesome ensues until climax.

I'm assuming they used a stag movie from the US and shot some extra hitchhiking footage, with two similarly-clad girls, to give it context and sell it in Germany.
