The thing about Jayce and Mel is that like. She does not view him as an investment. That is just certifiably false. You have to skip over all her scenes to believe that.

In the beginning she does! She absolutely does! She conceives of their relationship as a business one - where she makes profit off his inventions, and he profits from her business and political acumen, both monetarily and powerwise. And overall, she believes she's fulfilled her half of the bargain.

It's only when he comes back to her after Viktor gets sick that she realizes he believes this is something deeper. And it's notable that she responds to that emotion - she opens up about herself too, comforts him, and expresses real emotionality about it. It's then that we see his ideals start to influence her - especially reawakening in her a desire for nonviolence.

Wanting to do things peacefully is something that's been with her since she was a child. It is what guides her away from Noxus, because her pacifism just does not fit there. It's why she loved Piltover so - they aren't a violent expansionist empire, which is a really low bar, but that's what she's grown up in.

She never finds the violence in Zaun, because she never goes looking for it. This is her fault, and her flaw, let me make that clear. She has some of the most power in the city, and should know about what kind of violence is holding up, and work to resolve it, truly. But she doesn't, because she's focused on her own exploits, and has so insulated herself away from the class struggle that it does not register for her until it grows to violence.

And then, once that violence comes, she maintains that pacifism with an iron grip, more than Jayce himself. It is Jayce who constructs (almost) all the HexTech weapons that are used in the Undercity, in Caitlyn's police squadron. He betrays the oaths that he's made to his partner, where Mel keeps the promise she's made to her's. She is the only politician left to try to tamp down on the worst of Ambessa's instincts, and her removal from Piltover is what marks it's descent into militarism.

She is ultimately a complicated woman, with a bunch of interesting relationships to Piltover and Zaun. I think you can divide Piltover as a city neatly between her, Jayce, and Caitlyn - each of them standing for some of Piltover's best instincts, and some of its worst.

A little while ago you said that you have nuanced feelings on Clem x Louis, and I think that’s how I’d describe my opinion on the ship as well. I was just wondering, what makes you feel that way? Personally, I think they’re romance scenes are cute and sweet, but the whole situation with Marlon makes me unable to see them as anything other than friends. I think they both mean a lot to each other, but the idea that they’d want to date so soon after that whole ordeal’s a bit of a stretch to me.

the stuff with marlon and the vote is Definitely the biggest thing that influences my opinion about their romance. i always forget just how Cruel he is in EP2 😭 like im on your side dude what aj did was wrong can we just talk about this 😭 but he votes to kick them out. like his reaction about marlon doesnt bother me, its his insistence on kicking them out that does 😔 my clem will always forgive him for it, i believe him when he says he regrets it, but its gonna take some time for trust to build again. for both of them

having only one scene between his apology and the lock in was just not gonna happen for my clem. she was mad at him for it. aj almost died because of it. she might be doing better now but she still has trust issues and her trust was broken just as much as his was. he was fine with never seeing her again, sending her and aj out to their deaths because he struggled to accept his confused feelings about marlon. that pissed my clem off shdfksd she is barely keeping this child alive let alone herself. her face when ajs kicking the wall bro she was like "its so fucking over" 😭 cmon bro look at her shes dead inside have some compassion. and he still hits her with the "i dont know [if i want you to stay]" even after aj gets shot like cmon man...... Cmon.........

and while shes waiting for louis to finally be ready to talk about what happened with marlon (which my clem apologizes for in the dorm, she does genuinely feel bad about it), her and violet are only growing closer, focusing on preparing the school together for the bigger problem. clem knowing vi has her back is a huge source of relief in everything thats going on, and that means a Lot for my clem, who appreciates the idea of having a partner she can rely on. my clem is already sure of her feelings for vi by the time louis apologizes. but she appreciates his apology, and is looking forward to being friends again, because she did genuinely appreciate his friendship at the beginning. but her heart was really truly Broken about everything with marlon and the vote and i think thats gonna take more time to heal. depending on player choice some clems might not even forgive him (some others might say he was right and that clem didnt stop it but... i do not agree with that.. like how could she have... aasim calls mitch a hypocrite for saying the same thing)

the other less important thing is just his general blasé attitude. my clem takes things seriously, but that doesnt mean she doesnt know how to have fun. she Wants to. she just Cant. she has a child to take care of first, and she cares about the survival of the group. its why my clem is looking for someone she knows she can rely on. she never wanted any of this, and she just wants a little support, someone to help take the weight off so she CAN relax. shes so tired 😭. playing with louis while aasim hunts by himself made me feel Dirty 💀 (i literally couldnt do it the first time i felt so bad AASIM WAIT UP). and while i can understand and appreciate his "there might not be a tomorrow so enjoy today" outlook, it cant come at the expense of the group. louis i feel eventually learns this, finding a balance between the two, and Becomes someone clem can rely on. but his change doesnt begin until like.. after the raiders take everyone (because we have to get through the marlon stuff first). and if you save vi, you dont get to see any of it 😔

the thing about these two problems is that, if you were to take them out of this setting and throw them in like, a modern au, suddenly these are not issues anymore. no more life or death. the stakes are a lot lower. so i can see them dating in that scenario and having fun together. they do have cute moments!! but also due to less stakes, theres less to motivate louis to change. and i think they would fundamentally just not click on their worldviews. clem while she can have fun, ultimately takes things seriously, and louis doesnt. that doesnt mean they dont care about each other, and clem definitely appreciates his energy, but its why i see them still ending up as friends instead of romantic partners (esp if vi is around IM SORRY 😭 they just Click too well for me 😔 this is why my messy au exists 💀)

i also understand this is mostly personal preference and some people might like them for these reasons 😭 but the dynamic that they have i prefer as friends personally. theyre supportive of each other and deeply care about each other, just not romantically imo. especially not after the stuff with marlon. and thats ok!!!! i see it a lot like louis' relationship with vi. not romantic. but they Love each other regardless. honestly the reason why i like clem vi and louis as a trio so much is that clem slots between them really well. louis who doesnt take anything seriously, and vi who takes things Too seriously. clem exists between them. knowing having fun is important but also understanding the weight of responsibility. she helps louis become more responsible, and she helps vi chill the fuck out. she brings balance :)

Varys’ words to Kevan Lannister about Prince Aegon are so interesting because of the overarching insinuation that the boy has had a slew of advisors and teachers who have carefully and extensively prepared him for the task of ruling. His listed examples to that point are rather peculiar, however: a knight to train him in arms, a septa to train him in the faith, and various tutors to train him in history and languages.

Now there’s nothing inherently wrong about Aegon’s educators but one has to ask, what do these people even know about actual ruling? What have they seen about the nature of ruling and the nitty gritty of it? What experience do they have? And if they themselves don’t really know what it means to rule, what does that say of their young prince’s education?

It’s an important question to ask when we consider Aegon’s narrative foil: Jon Snow. Jon does not have the expectation of ruling. In fact, as a bastard, he knows that he can never ever get a lordship let alone a crown/throne. Yet Jon has, unlike Aegon, a crew of experienced tutors who have shown him the nitty gritty of ruling. Every single one of his on-page mentors is either a ruler or a leader of men; in addition to the other tutors he had growing up.

So I wanted to take a look at Jon’s mentors and the positions they have held to contrast their experience (and thus the validity of the lessons that they give Jon) as opposed to the lack of experience in Aegon’s crew.

Ned Stark - Jon’s first and (arguably) most impactful mentor. While teaching Jon important lessons about rulership, he was serving as the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North; thus making him one of the most powerful men in the entire realm. He then went on to serve as Hand of the King - the most powerful official save for the king. The irony is that Ned didn’t teach Jon as a successor. Robb was the one meant to succeed him. Yet Jon absorbed his lessons all the same.

Benjen Stark - we don’t actually see much on-page mentorship from Benjen, yet he still is one of Jon’s many father figures in the series. He is a a man of the Night’s Watch so he is sworn to hold no lands or titles. Yet as First Ranger, he is undoubtedly one for he highest ranking officials in the Watch and potentially a skilled warrior. He takes on the role of the knight or leader of men among Jon’s teachers.

Tyrion Lannister - despite being an ‘outsider’, Tyrion comes to hold considerable power. He is an exceedingly learned and intelligent man and managed to impart important life lessons during his short time with Jon. He rises to become Hand of the King and later Master of Coin. Though he doesn’t actively teach Jon how to rule, he’s still an important part of Jon’s character development.

Maester Aemon - one of the anomalies in this list. Yet his impact on Jon’s life cannot be understated. He is a teacher to Jon; we have various references to Jon going to Aemon for advice on how to lead. Aemon also gives Jon advice meant for kings: “kill the boy and let the man be born”. What makes Aemon an interesting addition is that he is a would-be king. And an interesting contrast between Jon and Aegon is that both parallel Aegon V; Jon more organically, Aegon rather artificially. If we remember, Aegon V was a hidden prince who ultimately became king. This is the very same trope that Jon and Prince Aegon are following. And it’s interesting that Aemon, Aegon V’s brother, gives advice on governance to Jon; the same advice given to the unlikely king. So it’s Jon who is carrying the torch of kingship from Aegon V, not Young Griff.

Jeor Mormont - one of the most direct mentors in Jon’s arc. Not only is he a surrogate father to Jon, he does what Ned never did: he directly grooms Jon to be his heir. Jon gets to watch Jeor actually govern the NW as his steward but it’s interesting that he shadows the LC through servitude. Though Jon is intended to succeed the Old Bear, he has to humble himself; he has to follow before he can lead. It’s a contrast to Aegon who would hold power over most (if not all) of his tutors.

Donal Noye - the other anomaly save for Maester Aemon. He is a humble Blacksmith. Yet he has been in the service of kings (having served the Baratheon boys who would all end up as kings). He plays an important role in bringing Jon’s ego back to earth and helping him sympathize with those less fortunate than himself. Despite his humble origins, he does briefly take command of the Wall during Mance Rayder’s attack and then transfers that command to Jon, purely because he believed in Jon’s ability to lead (and he was right).

Qhorin Halfhand - another who takes on the role of a skilled master at arms for Jon. He is an undoubtably powerful warrior. But he is also a leader of men. He teaches Jon important lessons on leadership during their time together beyond the Wall - e.g., to lead your men you must first know them. And in true ‘fridged mentor’ fashion, Qhorin dies so the young prince can take over and grow as a leader.

Mance Rayder - the King Beyond the Wall and one of the most important leaders in the books despite spending all his time in the North. Mance’s role as a mentor for Jon is doubly important given that he also takes on the role as a Rhaegar proxy. Despite Jon coming to him as an (undercover) enemy, he’s still able to impart powerful lessons on how to command an army and wrangle support from different factions of men. Jon learns a lot about diplomacy from observing and being under the KBTW. Mance is a skilled warrior, commander, and politician. A charismatic and gifted man - the picture perfect king for Jon to emulate.

Tormund Giantsbane - a leader of the freefolk who rises to become an unlikely ally for Jon. A skilled warrior and proven leader (we know that he took charge of a couple of thousand of freefolk), Tormund becomes important when there’s a transfer of power from Mance to Jon as leader of the freefolk.

Stannis Baratheon - by law, he is the rightful king of the seven kingdoms. According to prophecy, as Melisandre says, he is the promised messiah. Despite a less than ideal personality, he’s still an important part of Jon’s political arc in ADWD. Arguably a man of immense administrative potential, Stannis is also one of the most successful military commanders in the series; which is great for Jon since he also learned from Ned, who ran an undefeated streak as a battle commander.

The total count now comes to: two kings, two Hands of the King, a ruling lord, three warriors, one wise maester (who has counseled a king), and one commander. That quite a resume for Jon. All these men have some experience leading men and commanding armies, however big or small. So Jon’s preparation has been quite thorough.

What a stark contrast between the two boys, then. Varys’ words give us a roadmap of a “perfect ruler” (or as perfect as one can be) yet when we actually take the time to examine what we see in the text, Aegon is not at all suited for that role - Jon is. In fact, not a single character in ASOIAF has had the intensive preparation to rule that Jon has.

It’s beautiful irony. The prince, the one promised to rule, is actually quote underprepared for the task of it. Meanwhile the bastard, who is at best promised a life of servitude, is the one with the most preparation (and experience) for rulership. It’s the way Aegon, as a narrative foil to Jon, acts as one who validates Jon’s journey. There are certain things needed of a ruler. Jon has them, Aegon doesn’t.

Winds isn’t out yet so we don’t yet know for certain where these two boys will end up. But I’m almost sure that young Prince Aegon is doomed and though he may hold the throne for a while, he will not be the king at the end of the story. And it just might be his inexperience that ultimately dooms him. So what does that say for Jon then? Aegon can’t hold the throne as he’s unprepared for it, but what about Jon who is?

Seu parente divino te reclamou de imediato ou você ficou um pouco no chalé de Hermes sem saber a quem pertencia? assim que eu atravessei os portões o símbolo de apolo brilhou sobre a minha cabeça. talvez o sátiro já tivesse um palpite, já que eu passei o caminho quase inteiro até o acampamento curando meus colegas quando éramos atacados por monstros... de qualquer forma, ele não disse nada e também não demorou nada para eu ser reclamada. talvez eu tenha chamado a atenção do meu pai, não sei.

Fale um pouco sobre seus poderes: é bem simples, eu canto e as pessoas se curam, consigo até neutralizar venenos e curar feridas fatais, mas isso é tudo, se alguém já tiver morrido... eu posso curar suas feridas físicas, mas é impossível trazê-la de volta, a alma já se foi. e se eu usar demais, eu fico sem voz.

Quais suas habilidades e como elas te ajudam no dia a dia: uso meu canto de cura no dia a dia para ajudar os semideuses que se machucam e vão para enfermaria, de forma moderada, afinal, não quero ficar sem voz e nós temos outros recursos para ser usados pelos curandeiros, como néctar. em emergências é outra história, mas espero que não tenhamos uma dessas tão cedo... além do canto de cura, tenho fator de cura acima do normal, acho que por influência do meu próprio poder. eu não engajo tanto em batalha, mas certamente ajuda se curar mais rápido, afinal, se o curandeiro morrer, todo mundo morre. minha outra habilidade é previsão... acredito que seja o que me ajuda a ser mais cautelosa e focada no dia a dia.

Você lembra qual foi o primeiro momento em que usou seus poderes? ...... foi no meu aniversário de 9 anos. a comemoração foi feita na escola, minha mãe não tinha dinheiro para uma festinha, então as tias da escola juntaram um dinheiro para um bolo e reuniram as crianças depois da aula no parquinho. um dos meus colegas se machucou enquanto brincava, o joelho dele abriu e sangrava muito. ainda me lembro do quanto ele chorou, e então eu cantei pra ele... era o que eu fazia quando queria me sentir melhor, então achei que fosse ajudá-lo. e ajudou até demais. quando eu terminei de cantar, o menino tinha parado de chorar e as tias, meus colegas e minha mãe me encaravam com um misto de surpresa e confusão. de qualquer forma, o joelho dele estava novo em folha.

Qual a parte negativa de seu poder: primeiro, é preciso mais energia a depender do tamanho e da gravidade dos ferimentos e eu fico sem voz quando uso muito energia. consigo usar em um grupo de pessoas, mas a efetividade da cura individual diminui quanto maior for o grupo. isso sem falar nos abusados que querem usar minha voz para qualquer coisa, até para um arranhão pequeno. também não consigo curar doenças genéticas ou condições como o alzheimer, só aliviar alguns sintomas.

E qual a parte positiva: posso ajudar os semideuses a voltarem para o combate de forma rápida e efetiva, além de conseguir evitar tragédias — como alguém morrendo — é um processo de cura completamente indolor. e acho que ouvir uma boa música também ajuda a parte emocional, enfim, de toda forma é um poder muito útil, especialmente para uma curandeira, como eu.

Você tem uma arma preferida? Se sim, qual? eu gosto de arcos e flechas. por motivos óbvios, acredito, considerando minha descendência divina.

Acredito que tenha uma arma pessoal, como a conseguiu? o meu arco é bem normalzão, eu não sou uma guerreira. peguei ele no arsenal, onde ficam a maior parte das armas comuns e sem nome do acampamento.

Qual arma você não consegue dominar de jeito algum e qual sua maior dificuldade no manuseio desta? lanças, acho que pelo tamanho da arma em si, tenho problemas com o balanço delas no combate corpo-a-corpo, mas consigo usar como arma de arremesso.

𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝟒: 𝓶𝓲𝓼𝓼õ𝓮𝓼

Qual foi a primeira que saiu? alguns meses depois que eu entrei no acampamento saí em missão para ajudar um sátiro a trazer um semideus ao acampamento. acaba que meu poder de cura é, de fato, muito útil. na maior parte das missões em que saí, eu desempenhei o papel de suporte.

Qual a missão mais difícil? acho que nada vai conseguir topar minha jornada de chegada ao acampamento meio-sangue, mas teve essa missão de resgate a um outro grupo de semideuses que já estava em missão. eles tinham sido cercado por monstros, dois manticores e uma harpia, para ser precisa. os semideuses conseguiram barricar um local, mas estavam encurralados. tudo o que eles puderam fazer foi esperar até a nossa ajuda chegar. a batalha foi difícil e, no fim dela, havia muitos feridos, tanto na minha equipe quanto no grupo que viemos resgatar. deu tudo certo, no fim, mas passei três dias sem voz.

Qual a missão mais fácil? foi uma entrega, hermes precisava de ajuda com esse pacote por algum motivo. não me pergunte o que era, antes da missão ele nos deu várias instruções e uma delas foi para não abrir o pacote em hipótese alguma e eu e minha equipe o obedecemos. não encontramos muito problema, honestamente, acho que o único monstro que tentou nos interceptar foi uma dracaenae, mas quando ela se aproximou da gente ela simplesmente recuou e fugiu com o rabo entre as pernas. não sei bem o que houve, ela deve ter ficado intimidada com algo. com o quê eu já não sei te dizer, comigo é que não foi. enfim, depois disso, completamos a entrega com sucesso.

Em alguma você sentiu que não conseguiria escapar, mas por sorte o fez? não, eu consigo me manter segura em missões, especialmente porque nunca fui em uma sozinha. é possível evitar confronto direto com monstros graças ao meu arco, e é do interesse da equipe que eu permaneça de pé para ajudar eles a escaparem.

Já teve que enfrentar a ira de algum deus? Se sim, teve consequências? não, eu sou uma pessoa muito sincera, mas não tenho nenhum rancor particular com relação aos deuses. consigo ver a distância que existe entre eles e os semideuses, e eu simplesmente os respeito. às vezes eu gostaria de sentir que o respeito é mútuo, mas sei que é difícil pra eles, então eu relevo.

Qual divindade você acha mais legal, mais interessante? acho que meu pai, mesmo. ele é o sol por um motivo, sabe.

Qual você desgosta mais? acho que ares, sinto que ele se acha muita coisa só porque está saindo com afrodite e ele é muito... temperamental. suponho que esse apenas seja o rolê dele, né, deve ser por isso que os filhos dele ficam putinhos por tudo.

Se pudesse ser filhe de outro deus, qual seria? se eu não fosse filha de apolo eu simplesmente gostaria de não ser uma semideusa. mas, tudo bem, eu mordo a isca. se tivesse que escolher outro deus como parente divino acho que escolheria dionísio, ele é um pai legal e até presente levando em conta os outros deuses.

Já teve contato com algum deus? Se sim, qual? Como foi? Se não, quem você desejaria conhecer? já fiz uma missão em que tivemos um breve contato com hermes, logo no início, porque era ele quem ia nos das instruções. achei ele um cara bem tranquilo, mas muito atarefado, suponho que até o mensageiro dos deuses precise de uma folga de vez em quando. e, particularmente, eu gostaria de conhecer meu pai, já que, apesar de ter me reclamado muito rápido, eu nunca o vi pessoalmente. eu só gostaria de vê-lo pelo menos uma vez. em termos de família de sangue, além dos meus meios-irmãos, eu só tenho ele, mas eu sei que não sou a única semideusa nessa situação. eu não sou especial.

Faz oferendas para algum deus? Tirando seu parente divino. Se sim, para qual? E por qual motivo? às vezes faço oferendas para ártemis, tenho um grande respeito por ela e sei que nem sempre meu pai foi o melhor dos irmãos. já considerei entrar para as caçadoras, mas não acho que esse seja meu chamado. de qualquer forma, espero que a deusa saiba a admiração que tenho por ela.

Qual monstro você acha mais difícil matar e por qual motivo? cães infernais. são cachorros. cachorros grandões. eu nunca mataria um cachorro.

Qual o pior monstro que teve que enfrentar em sua vida? harpias. elas são irritantes demais, são rápidas e ficam voando direto. além de sempre tentarem te agarrar 'pra levar voando. se são irritantes para mim, que uso arco e flecha, imagina pro pessoal das armas corpo-a-corpo.

Dos monstros que você ainda não enfrentou, qual você acha que seria o mais difícil e que teria mais receio de lidar? uma hidra. eu sinto arrepios só de pensar na quantidade de cabeças... ugh e elas ainda crescem de volta quando são decepadas. podre.

Estaria disposto a liderar uma missão suicida com duas outras pessoas, sabendo que nenhum dos três retornaria com vida mas que essa missão salvaria todos os outros semideuses do acampamento? sim. eu me movo de acordo com a necessidade, então se fosse requisitado que eu liderasse uma missão, eu o faria, acho até que me sairia bem, porque atuo bem sob pressão. eu faria qualquer coisa para ajudar alguém necessitado e ainda mais se for para salvar o acampamento inteiro.

Que sacrifícios faria pelo bem maior? existem destinos que são piores que a morte. acho que a pior coisa que poderia acontecer comigo seria perder meu dom de cura. todo ele, incluindo minha aptidão com medicina. mas se fosse para salvar alguém, ou pelo bem maior, eu abriria mão dele.

Como gostaria de ser lembrado? não sou uma pessoa ambiciosa, só ser lembrada por aqueles que eu amo, exatamente como eu era em vida, é o suficiente para mim.

a adrenalina percorrendo a corrente sanguínea fora de maneira instantanea enquanto adentrava a floresta junto a sua equipe de patrulha; as correntes estavam prontas para serem usadas, todo o corpo trabalhando nas musculaturas, as tornando mais flexíveis. contudo, nenhum deles estavam esperando para o que os esperava; no início, fora como um afogamento, a neblina espessa consumindo os pulmões, liberando algo que logo mais, ela rotularia como um alucinogeno. em seguida, a dor física, todo o corpo contorcendo-se sem que saísse do lugar, até que não houvesse mais nada, até que a mente fosse como um buraco negro e flutuasse no centro, perdida entre as imagens que rondavam sua consciência, seus medos.

o cheiro que preenchia o lugar era de bolo recém assado, havia o som de uma televisão ligada mas ninguém assistia; todos estavam no centro da cozinha, as vozes abafadas enquanto circulava em torno da cena que conhecia: seu meio-irmão com uma faca em mãos, pronto para matar a própria mãe. a katrina de anos atrás sorria, divertida com tudo o que acontecia. até que a cena mudou, katrina estava embaixo de um viaduto, bebendo água de um córrego, uma pequena fogueira acesa dentro de um túnel, até que um homem se aproxima e a toca de maneira ousada e enquanto o ato repugnante acontecia, a mente desligou-se em um click, percebendo tudo o que poderia ter tido. seu pai sorrindo a entregando o diploma da faculdade, sua madrasta sorrindo e lhe fazendo um bolo em seu vigésimo aniversário, seus irmãos abraçando-a… os dígitos buscaram no chão algo que pudesse ajudá-la, um caco de vidro sendo usado para cortar a garganta do homem, o sangue deste caindo-lhe no rosto, dentro da boca… luis sorria, estavam no mundo dos sonhos mas logo ele se afastava, observava os dois corpos que katrina carregava, os dois semideuses que morreram por sua culpa. um soco lhe era dado no rosto. kitty caminhava em sua direção, os braços abertos até que hesitou, percebendo que katrina era a responsável por colocar sasha em uma situação ruim, mesmo que não fosse de propósito. outro soco, agora sangue escorria do nariz. tommaso a oferecia um cigarro, rindo alto de alguma bobagem que katrina o dizia, mas logo gritava com ela, a dizia o quão era imunda ao perceber que a amiga sentia-se bem demais diante da morte do irmão dele. lá estava, a incapacidade de ser amada, de fazer algo ruim para aqueles que se importava. os dedos das mãos foram quebrados, a dor insuportável a atingindo por quem estava com o seu carrasco. o homem que a tocava outrora, não estava sozinho; seus amigos agora faziam justiça por ele, enquanto o fogo que antes a mantinha aquecida, lhe tocava a pele. a sensação de pavor era muito maior que a dor das queimaduras. conseguia sentir a pele derretendo por debaixo da roupa, conseguia sentir cada parte do seu corpo implorando por ajuda enquanto se contorcia, consumida pelo que a deixava assustada. os olhos marejaram até que fosse o suficiente para transbordarem, o medo a abraçando enquanto a morte caminhava em sua direção, mas fora capaz de perceber a sombra de éris de longe, rindo e dizendo-lhe o quão fraca era. katrina tentou gritar, não por ajuda mas por raiva, porque não havia nada pior do que perder a única coisa que tinha: a vida.

quando os olhos abriram-se ainda estava na floresta, mas havia um grito entalado na garganta, o rosto estava molhado pelas lágrimas e todo o corpo tremia, como se uma avalanche de sentimentos que reprimia, tivesse a atingido. sentia-se suja pelo toque do homem desconhecido, sentia-se imunda por saber que um dia, todos os seus amigos a deixariam como sua família havia feito e mais ainda, sentia-se quebrada por reconhecer que toda a merda que outrora passou e ainda passaria, fora unicamente culpa sua.

comfort clothing: hmmmm context is important here. she uses clothes as armor in general, so different clothes are comforting in different situations. broadly speaking, she loves a good set of fishnet stockings, they're just... reliably the thing she's going for. safe-enough-to-be-vulnerable comfort clothes is 100% sweatpants paired with a tank top though (+blanket cape.) she also likes zippered hoodies.

comfort show(s): this is not really a show per se but i think. those old(? old? do people still do this?) tv blocks where the whole program is just like, listings of things. sometimes antiques sometimes it's more like a Home Show but on tv- the very consistent and pleasant vibes of those are weirdly comforting and great for low volume background noise (especially in unfamiliar places.)
