Ok, I finished Cory's SCP series and honestly it's okay. I can see the enjoyment in it but I think because I didn't follow it as it came out I don't have much of an attachment to it. And probably because Cory is there like less than half the time after a few seasons.

Final thoughts: you can really tell when the writers realized they had to keep going and were like..well shit. Things are given reason because they wanted to end it early but then didn’t, and characters brought back when you could have just kept them dead, wait I think that was only ruby.. nevermind. It was just underwhelming but I think I had so much hype for it in mind because of the fandom carrying it so much. It was pretty okay though, glad I didn’t watch every single episode because in all honesty it is just scp stories told in Minecraft and with the added bonus of the characters in the series.

My top 5 favorites tho because I kept going on about that:

1. Cory, obviously the baby

2. Uni,,, I’m really biased guys sorry

3. Iris, she’s so fucking silly I love her

4. Alice, queen I bow down you deserved so much more screen time

5. Triana, her or Laura but Triana at least got development

If you don’t count Uni then actual #5 would have been Dr. Bright, they got me back on the Bright propaganda with that backstory episode.

I really am glad that my brain decided that Splatoon shall be my online competitive game that i can get good at (I'm at S+ tehehe).

I swear to god every other online multiplayer gaming community is so vile and toxic and just so insane.

I've been binge watching videos about Overwatch 2 and man, the community is just constant complaining, over and over and OVER AGAIN! I get why but man, it seems so unfun. COD has always been toxic and racist and sexist and all kinds of bullshit. Fortnite is mid af and started the whole battle pass fomo shit that i despise. Counter strike as well seems incredibly toxic, crazy take i know!! Valorant too. I could go on and on and on and on about online shooters because a lot of them are just.... yuck community wise.

But with Splatoon? it's less toxic which is good!!!! There are bad eggs ofc duhhh. But it seems like there's way less of it. The community seems to be a lot more positive and happy and excited, rather than whinnying and screaming and getting mad all the time. There is still the vocal minority of players who complain about Splatoon and constantly complain about the game when it's really not that bad. "Oh Splatoon 3 has a lack of content!" yeah when you put in over 500 hours and have bled the game dry yeah it can seem like the game has a lack of content lmao. Sure you can complain about the catalogue system and yeah i agree there needs to be changes like instead of 3 months it should be 2, and more updates and patches would be nice. But it's not as bad as some people say come on guys.

I remember getting Splatoon 3 at launch and seeing ALL the content that was on offer was overwhelming! WHICH IS GOOD! It has the most amount of content out of any Splatoon game, let's not try to kid ourselves here.

Also the Splatoon community is very diverse too which helps reduce the toxicity, the community is mostly very accepting of other people's race, background, culture, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, etc. And it helps too that the main Idols of the game reflect this diversity in the community and there's a character for everyone to get attached to, it's awesome.

Although there's racist shit going on and that needs to get resolved asap.... You know what I'm talking about... ugh....

When she woke with a start she noticed her skin was clammy. The tendrils of her dream were still clinging onto her, like a fog over the ocean. Her heart raced in its panic as she took in her surroundings. Her things were strewn about with loose articles of clothing tossed over the furniture in haste. The moonlight lit it up in a soft silver glow, the surroundings becoming comfortable and familiar once more. 

She sighed, rubbing her cheeks with her palms, trying to shake her achy feelings and ignore how her hands trembled as they touched cool skin. She could still smell seared flesh, see how it bubbled and remember how it felt under her touch. Hear the screams turning into bloody gurgles, the way the room burned. 

A soft snore tore her out of her thoughts, and she was grateful for the distraction.  

She’d almost forgotten about the man in her bed, curled around some of her pillows, sleeping with his lips parted ever so slightly. 

Miloš looked so sweet like this, the crease between his brows all smoothed out. He looked so much…younger, when he was sleeping. He carried the weight of his world on his shoulders, she could only assume how heavy of a burden it was, especially knowing her own. But sleeping like this? Surrounded by her comforts and near luxury that she spent years cultivating because she had a soft spot for anything soft and plush?

He was so…normal. Soft. 

She caressed his cheek with the backs of her fingers, shifting to rub the puckered skin and stretch marks with the pads of her fingers. His nose twitched at the touch, but he settled into it as much as a sleeping man could. 

He was beautiful drenched in the soft moonlight, all dreamlike and soft. 

It was so…human of him. Sleeping with his mouth open and snoring softly. Seeking out the warmth of her body from her place in the mattress, subconsciously. He cuddled into her legs, still snoring softly. 

Sitting there, watching him sleep, she was suddenly overcome with this…strange intense sort of affection for him. She could stay like this with him all the time and she would be happy, she thought. It was a sweet thing, to be let into something so small yet so intimate like this. 

His eyes fluttered under their lids. She pushed his hair away from his face, trying to memorize the way his cheeks sloped into the softness of his lips.

She wished they could stay in this little bubble of their own creation forever. She was finally starting to feel cold again, goosebumps erupting along her bare skin. His nose wrinkled. Her hair fell over her bare shoulder in knotted waves, still caressing his temple with her knuckles.

Her hands moved to his hair now, scratching soft circles into his scalp. His nose smoothed out and he let out a tiny snort, humming a tad. He was a very vocal sleeper, she thought to herself with a small smile. It only aided the budding feeling in her chest. 

She bent over to kiss his forehead, whispering something softly to his skin. She wormed her way back under the covers again, tucking one of her arms under his shoulder, warmth seeping into her veins at the way he instantly attached himself to her side. His face tucked itself into the crook of her neck, sighing softly into the clammy skin. 

She pulled the covers up higher, staring at the gauzy fabric that shielded her bed from much of the world. 

She thought she could love him, blushing at the thought. It was hard to say, their relationship being a…complicated one. From lingering looks at work, to stolen kisses in the back of the library, to stumbling trysts in her skeleton of a practice. 

Would he want to feel that way about her if he knew what she had done to someone she had loved once? Was her love forever tainted by that moment? Would it happen again?

She thought of bubbling skin and burbly sobs. To curtains set ablaze and a broken vase by her feet. To the blood that had run down her face. 

She didn’t want this love to be like that, she wanted something new, something different. He already felt different, shyer, sweeter. Less like the monsters from her past and more…human. A stumbling, bumbling human.

She knew he had something to hide as well and it was there in her bed, the light of a hazy dawn shining through her windows that she realized that she didn’t…care. She just knew she wanted him here, now, and mistakes of the past wouldn’t change that. 

She kissed his exposed temple. 

“I killed my past love,” she whispered to him. “I burnt his face after he threw a vase at me, and I set his house on fire. I murdered him and I liked it.” Her chest grew tight and the words kept spilling out of her mouth. “I would do it again if I had the chance. To watch the life drain out of his eyes.” A shuddering breath. “Would that change things for you?” For them? 

He didn’t respond, unsurprisingly. Just shifted closer, mumbling something from his dream into the slope of her neck. Her smile was soft, just lifting her lips at their corners. 

“I want to love you,” she murmured after another moment, pressing another kiss to his head. “Would you like that if I did? Would you love me in return?” She didn’t know if she wanted to hear his answer, grateful that he was a deeper sleeper. “I don’t know why I am asking you this like you can hold a conversation,” she said with a light laugh. “It’s all rather silly, isn’t it? I should try to go back to sleep.”

She pursed her lips. “I see him in my dreams. It makes me wonder if I killed him after all. I don’t know what would happen to me if I didn’t.” Anxiety made home in her ribs. “I hope he’s dead.”

He had to leave in the morning and she didn’t want to watch him go. She pressed a kiss to his hair again, still scratching at the base of his scalp. She was being foolish, and silly. She was a stupid silly girl, murmuring sweet nothings to a sleeping man. Confessing her sins to him like he was a Shrouded Priest and she was a lowly sinner. 

He looked holy in the light of the incoming sunrise. 

She settled onto her pillows, eyes fluttering closed. She swore she dreamt soft kisses to her neck and the softness of words, too lost in a drowsy haze. 

She almost hoped he heard what she had to say.

Now they're just wandering around Jubilife, the idea of how to turn it into a walkable and balanced town sometimes pops into their head.

And whenever Ingo talks about trains, even if Gris isn't interested in public transportation, Ingo just speaks with such conviction and passion and even with his spotty memory he makes up for it with other words to express how expanse and wonderful subways can be and also above ground trains too, that Gris can't help but listen because Ingo doesn't look so tired or ragged in those moments and looks alive and passionate.

But Ingo forgets that he's not just talking to a random pearl clan member or survey corp person, so when he unfocuses he realizes that he was rambling on and on and probably boring Gris since most other people just think he's a weird outlander but it's the exact opposite and Gris also thinks it's very cute that he got embarrassed over something he enjoyed talking about, but also is shocked that he'd think he was annoying them when he was just enjoying talking about stuff he liked.

So Gris, wanting to make Ingo feel comfortable and also valid that it's okay to chat about it, brings up aspects of what they know and related to trains and city/town planning. Basically nerding out with him <3

And then Ingo remembers that this isn't a random pearl clan member or guardsmen, it's his new best friend (that he feels very fuzzy and warm around and makes him smile even without trying wink wink) and he relaxes and gets to listen about a whole new topic he wasn't aware of. Like sharing video essays from memory as a form of love language with your best friend that you're totally not falling in love with basically ya know ya know.

Remus Lupin. 10/10. Still fixated on him and his complex character. Hate JKR and her stupid terfy face and literal racism and the way she ruined some of her best characters. (Definitely not salty about tonks and her entire character becoming obsessed with Remus) RIP, bbg. You deserved a better author and less mischaracterization from the fandom.

Cedric Diggory. 8/10. The fixation didn't last long, but it was fun. I think I clinged to him because hes one of like 8 Hufflepuffs mentioned in the books and IM a Hufflepuff.

Percy Jackson. The icon. 9/10. Love that sassy mfer AND HES LOYAL TO ANNABETH?!?!? perfect. Had 9 year old Izzy in a chokehold.

Klaus Boudelaire. 7/10. He was smart, and little Izzy had a fixation on smart boys who would read. The actor who played him also looked like my third grade crush and 8 year old Izzy was smitten. I would've been best friends with him fr fr. Count Olaf can catch these pale hands.

Sebastian Michaelis. 9/10. Still fixated on him. -1 for almost dying multiple times. Black Butler is STILL my shit. It was the first anime I was really into. First Manga I ever read. William T Spears. 8/10. I don't know what it was. I just liked him a LOT. The mental illness was taking over.

Kusuo Saiki: 10/10. Looking back on it, he's literally so me core. Would we be friends irl? Probably not. I think my intrusive thoughts would take him back and he'd be like '...what the fuck??' So yeah. But also yeah. He's literally so me. He just wants to be left alone but ALSO SECRETLY ADORES HIS FRIENDS!!!! Had middle school me in a deadlock. Jumin Han (Mysmes). 8/10. He was the first good ending I got between him and 707. Had me stressing. Does Jumin Han Is Gay? (Maybe). Had 12 year old izzy questioning things.

Julian Devorak. 10/10. He was the only route I've finished on The Arcana and I love him with all my heart. Lowkey wish there was less smut about him. I wanna give this tall ginger man a bone crushing hug.

So. Everyone seems to agree that Dive Back in Time is from CXS's POV, but I don't really think so?

SO. UM. IT HAPPENED. THE THEORY EVERYONE HAS BEEN GOING APESHIT FOR.

And THAT's where I think the song is no longer meant to be in CXS's POV. I think it never was tbh, but it was always LG's song. I'm no interpreter (God I wish I was one of the theorists of Tumblr) so I'll just go through a few obvious points in order through the lyrics.

1.

"Without you, I don't know if I could take this road", "if only I had got it right before". While I think everything screams LG's POV these are the main-sentences in this part. W now know LG really cannot take "this road" (the timeline he was in) without CSX by his side. And the second one shows he's prolly very regretful for letting CXS die. Foreshadowing to it being his fault maybe? Hope not!!!

I'm not talking about the "chase you to the end of the world" lines, bc they're obvious enough. Come on.

So... haha I hope it's not a surprise I'm a shiguang shipper.

Moving on: these lines are the main reason I thought the song is LG's. While the line "I'm always late to my fate" is kinda CXS coded (he's late to dying bc LG keeps saving him haha get it), the rest just screams LG and his silent love (be it wtv kind of love. Like even if you don't ship it you can't deny he loves him in some way. Would you rip the literal fabric of time and reality for someone you don't love).

"Here's to all the mistakes I never made" is pretty on the nose: he's gone back and fixed the stuff that caused CXS's death node to appear.

Now, the part that made me clarify I'm a shipper: "If it ain't for your misguided taste, I'd turn out so ordinary, fabulously un-addictively bore out my own brain". We all know LG's considered to be the more stoic rational one of the pair, and has probably always been like this. I believe CSX entering his life had such a big effect on him, he actually relaxed in some way or smth. I do not know the words to express this properly in English nor do I have any evidence of this, so I hope it makes enough sense.

Now this doesn't have to mean anything for the ship but I like being delusional.

I believe he's saying this words to CXS when he's dead. He's probably like "well, I know I told you you shouldn't be messing with time and I'm gonna be a hypocrite but don't feel sorry for me I'm fine with anything as long as you're alive" (hence "I'll love where I'm going now"). " 'Cause I'm about to lose my mind" is simply him going apeshit for CXS's death to the point where he's decided to go back in time. You can't change my mind have you SEEN THE ANGER IN THIS DUDE WHEN CXS GOT SHOT ISTG-

I know I said I was going in order and then left the chorus for the end but this screenshot has the last chorus so it counts :)

I think this is the main reason ppl believe it's meant to be CXS, and this is probably meant to be deceitful. We didn't know Lu Guang could go back in time after all, so it made it seem like it was CXS's words. Especially with "something secretive hidden inside your mind", which I don't truly have a theory for tehehe. But let's get back on track.

"All the heartaches and the smiles never faded, I know you'll be by my side when we make it" kinda seems like LG's telling that everything is fine after he's gone back, doesn't it? He's rewound CXS's existence, wich got him back to happy times; but he hasn't really moved on. His heart still hurts when he remembers what's gonna happen.

"I know you'll be by my side when we make it" is simply him being hopeful that the whole going-back-in-time plan will work. And maybe foreshadow to a happy ending? (please)

swam in an ocean? yep! swam is a strong word though. i've been in and bobbed up and down! i usually run from the tide.

been vegan/vegetarian? both! at different times. it was very much part of my friend and family culture growing up.

gone skinny dipping? yes, in my exs best friends dads girlfriends dead uncles pool :) honestly 10/10 swimming with clothes on is so random? i think its so beautiful how people look under the blue wavy water of the pool.

gone skiing? no i am scared of the snow since learning about crevasses in year 4 and almost falling off a ski lift at a very young age. i do love the cold and the ski lodge episode of gmw though.
