Hi Angel... ^^ Since we recently hit 5K Discord members, I've decided to release Day 5! You can now play it earlier than everyone else by joining the 14DWY Discord server — but please be aware that it's only for 18+ folks, so you'll need to verify your age to get in!

Don't want to join? That's okay! Day 5 will be released to the public after a week! This is just for those who want to skip the queue!

For those who've already joined the sever: you're free to make content (videos, TikToks, memes, etc.), stream it (privately, on YouTube, Twitch, etc.), and share spoilers outside of the server, but make sure to use #14DWY Day 5 spoilers so that people can easily blacklist the tag! Warnings: nightmare, PTSD, hurt/aftermath, hurt/recovery, hurt/comfort, caretaker and whumpee

Caretaker was groggy. They weren't sure what had woken them. It was still dark and their alarm clock read 3:22am. Why had they woken up?

The soft moaned, "Please," next to them had them rolling over.

Whumpee's face was sweaty, their hair clinging to their forehead. They gripped the blanket tightly in their hands as they thrashed wildly. "Please," they moaned.

Caretaker's heart twinged. Another nightmare. Whumpee had terrible nightmares of everything that happened. Had them every night. Caretaker put a gentle hand on Whumpee's shoulder. "Whumpee," they murmured.

Whumpee thrashed violently. "PLEASE!"

"Whumpee, darling," Caretaker continued, "wake up. It's just a nightmare. Please wake up, Whumpee."

Whumpee's eyes shot open, their chest heaving. "A nightmare? It felt so real. I was....I was...." they began to cry, their words becoming unintelligible.

"Come here, darling, I've got you. You're safe. I've got you," Caretaker said as they hugged Whumpee close. Whumpee sobbed and sobbed and Caretaker held them tight. Would hold them tight until Whumpee drifted off to sleep again. Even then, they wouldn't let Whumpee go. Whumpee only felt safe in the circle of their arms. And so they would make sure Whumpee felt safe enough to sleep and get some rest.

"Ouch," Villain winced as they eased themself down onto the couch. They had been moving very stiffly and carefully. Hero knew they had to be in tremendous pain.

"How bad is it, Villain?"

Villain gave Hero a crooked smile. "I've definitely had worse."

Hero frowned. Villain had fought off Other World Creature after breaking out of some power suppressing cuffs. Hero knew it had taken a great amount of strength to do both. And that Villain had been seriously hurt by Other World Creature's attacks.

"Don't lie to me. I know they hurt you. I know you jumped in so I didn't have to fight."

"Sweetheart, I couldn't let you have all the fun. Besides, my power lends itself to physical fights. Yours...well, it has its uses." Villain attempted to lean back and grimaced. "I will admit I am a little sore."

"How about I run you a nice warm bath and put those fancy epsom salts in it that you like."

Villain smiled at Hero again. "That sounds amazing."

"i could just invade your dreams in a blood-soaked gown and follow you around like freddy krueger." the daughter of hades does her best to suppress a smile - especially when her father is giving her his signature stern look. her attempt failed - a quick smile if given to both her father and brother as she brings a spoonful of fruit to her lips.

Like I'm no Lucas apologist, but the way people want to compare the Carter-Lucas crimes against humanity...

like Carter was his teacher! That's a 15, recently turned 16 year old boy! That's a power dynamic 2 different ways, already. That's not comparable to a 15 year old bullying, hitting, and verbally attacking his 16 year old peer during adolescence where he was also being manipulated.

To add points for the difference that was shown and how Lucas IS better than Carter,

• Lucas could've led on Frankie, a (mind you vulnerable) girl when she tried to kiss him. He didn't.

• Lucas actually meant whenever he has apologized to Dillon (more than once).
