She was in a bit of awe when she saw the newest very rare exotic flower Alfred got bloom under the light of the full moon, revealing beautiful crystallized like petals blossom, only for her widening eyes to take noticed of a tiny little pixie like child to pop his little head out of the center of the flower.

His hair was unnatural white fluff like a dandelion in her opinion, eyes glowing an otherworldly green, freckles that sparkle like the stars themselves, ears a bit long and pointy, wearing a odd clothing with a needles strapped to his back, that she could barely catch in camera, the static buzzing sound from her cameras was making it a bit difficult to hear what sound the tiny little fairy boy made as he floated above zooming around the garden a bit like he was excited.

It made barb's inner child squeals, screaming, flipping her tiny princess table at the possibly of Nederland being possible.

Curious little bug, floating around like the fairies in Disney like except of the Glow pixie dust like she seen on the movies, he left a trail of blueish green light that faded away rather quickly with the way he was flying into the slightly opened kitchen's window...

Wait a goddamm minutes..

Barb immediately switch cameras to the kitchen, looking around, only to see it went through the hallway already, switching cameras again, checking the living room, the hallways, only to catch a glimpse of trail glow zooming around.

Crap crap. OK, no need to panic Barb. What do curious pixie like fairies out in the human world.. bring the season right?!, play with children like that Bell fairy did? Finds and take lost things and secretly repair lost things?..! Fairies are weak without pixie dust, they don't live long without it, each fairies has a different part of the seasons, and if you don't believe in them then they immediately die and that cause imbalance in the world without their influence unless you truly believe in fairies to bring back one fairy.(she went through a whole fairy obsession phase as a kid, she still mourns the lost of the create your fairy open world game)

The fairy must've Found a new type of pixie dust to fly without wings if she could recall that one sequel with the new pixie dusts colors thing..?

It was like a game of Where Waldo except where the little mythical fairy boy that couldn't possibly- no no barb don't think about the taboo words, if you think about it and this poor mythical being dies due to your words then the guilt will haunt you Forever.

3 hours in the catch the glimpse of the fairy boy, flying back at to his little flower holding a tiny cube of sugar, a shiny tiny object that she can't get a clear of, and a plump blueberry the size of his little head as he lands in the petals that were closing around him. Crystallized back close as if to guard this little fairy being with its own life.

Right when the full moon glimpse was gone out of the sight of the garden from the sky when the smog cloud from the city covering once more.. Barb is writing that down in her notes..

Somehow there's this glitch where everyone lose their eyes and it's hillarious yet terrifying. They have no eyes

abhfbyourae For those who don't know, something got Fucked Up when the Twst JP server updated to include Relax in Room Ruggie. This is how Ruggie exacts his revenge on The Rich/j Anyway, this resulted in a ton of buggy messes with the live 2D models of all the characters, mostly in the eyes and mouths. In some cases, they were entirely missing and in other cases, only partially loaded. (KJLABLHDBOIYARBI EVEN THE TSUMS WERE AFFECTED...)

It’s like one of those zombie apocalypse or infection AUs… 😭

chsjvejwjwkw Malleus missing his horns reminds me of the German girl in the Black Butler Emerald Witch arc… It’s anime adaptation is airing right now, and there’s a scene where she sits in a chair with massive horns. It’s giving “she claimed dragon!Malleus’s horns as ornaments for her furniture” 😭

Then there’s the cases where the eyes are entirely sclera (the white part)! These ones didn’t bother me as much because it’s a pretty common animanga trope for the eyes to go white and blank when you’re in despair, shocked, or panicked. It suits the characters in some cases. For example, Vil being appalled by his peers’ lack of grace, Jamil being scared of a bug, and Idia freaking out over socializing.

for as long as i can remember i've had this deep-rooted conviction that various people in my life are secretly mad at me, and whenever i voice this fear it almost always gets a response of "don't be silly, why would they be mad at you?"

Ik everyone is like, "They've confessed so many times already, why aren't they dating!" But the thing is, internalized homophobia is a fun beast 👀, and this is not easy for Wine.

So when Wine prevents Faifa from confessing here, I honestly feel him. Coz, like, the kid barely came to terms with the fact that he's gay, and that it's okay to be gay. Just because he's ready to accept that doesn't mean he's ready to date yet. Because accepting you're queer does not simply prepare you to date a guy. Hell, it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of it!

And he recognizes it on a certain level too. Thankfully, he's ready to set the boundaries to figure it out without (hopefully) breaking anyone's heart. He seems so nervous when he asks for time because he knows it's not fair to ask someone to wait for him to be ready.

But this is not just someone! This is Faifa (loml I swear). Which is why I love so much that Faifa's immediate response is acceptance.

Much to Wine's surprise, clearly.

He says we can keep doing this how you're comfortable. He allows them the chance to figure it out together. He lets Wine define their relationship because he saw Wine struggle with his sexuality and probably understands this would not be easy for him.

And that is why this feels earned...

It's a confession Wine knows will not be misunderstood or taken for granted. It's one he knows Faifa deserves and one he will treat preciously. And Faifa, to his credit, absolutely does!

He doesn't push; he doesn't demand. He accepts the uncertainty with a smile.

Because what Wine needs time for is not to accept Faifa. It is to accept himself. It is to accept this new life for himself. And that 👏🏽takes👏🏽 time👏🏽

But Fa also makes sure Wine knows that he's special.

Fa has his own struggles, and honestly, that might be the reason both of them are willing to learn and try for each other. Because they know they'll never demand more than the other is willing to give. It's trust that they helped each other build.

The best part- They laid this out for us from the beginning of the episode!

sorry don't hate me but I don't think I'm alone in saying that I mourn Soulless Spike sometimes. ATS s5 Spike, while some of his decisions about not contacting Buffy are quite odd to me, is proof that Spike could have been this in BTVS, but it was too soon and not enough had happened yet for him to return to his full identity.

but besides that. so much fanfiction I read is about preventing the need for Spike to find a soul. and I think that's so interesting because truly, like how Spike's demon fell in love with Buffy, we all fall in love with Spike the Neutered Vampire. If it wasn't for the chip in his head, everyone would be a goner (lmao no buffy would stake his ass but you know.)

But something the show goes into a little when he's soulless is that after years of abstaining, he no longer wants to bite or hurt people. In 6x09, when he thinks his chip has stopped working, he does immediately go to kill someone, but he sort of has to hype himself up to do so. He has to remind himself that he wants this. He wants to be a monster. One episode earlier, we learn that without his memories, Spike doesn't feel the need to bite anyone as a vampire and assumes he helps people because he doesn't want to.

This is about Buffy so it's a little less significant because Spike not wanting to kill Buffy makes sense because he's in love with her but in 5x07, in a fit of rage he is loading his shotgun and tells Harmony that he's going to shoot her through the searing pain, which accidentally reveals that Spike has had the ability to kill her or anyone this entire time, but he's never really wanted to in the last year, not enough to go through the pain.

And even when he points the gun at her (which, in a joke in season 4, shouldn't be possible because he points a fake gun at xander and he gets a headache), nothing happens because he wasn't going to shoot her.

Don't get me wrong, Soulless Spike loves to kill. Souled Spike gets a rush on it too, but he transferred all of his killing and passion towards demons and Buffy that his desire to kill humans has poofed and he's too close to them now.

And the writer of The Initiative episode calls it the episode Spike gets a Clockwork Orange'd and BTVS touch on the point that what they do to Spike is inhumane in itself, but dude oh the possibilities to get into with the question of how this inhumane act is what puts Spike into a position where he slowly becomes a part of human society as well as vampire society.

But fuck, what an arc. I understand that it isn't a supreme message to say any old vampire can be soulless and good (even though they sorta did that) but I mean, that's why his good actions always meant more. Him protecting Dawn meant so much because why on Earth did he grow so close to her? And we know that vampires can love, if not wisely, and fuck I don't know.

The show does get into this, also, the whole thing about how separate the soulless and the ensouled are because a soul is implied to be a filter for morality, an ego, and Spike's filter for morality is based on how it affects Buffy, and I understand that that's not sustainable, but. I don't know.

It's weird because I don't want to separate the Spike I loved for 4 seasons from s7 and ats s5 Spike because late season 5 and some parts of season 6 soulless Spike are good even without a soul.

Like yes, no morality, evil, bad, not a long term thing. But the show never completes the question of Buffy and Soulless Spike's relationship, like obviously they wouldn't have become so good without the soul, the show argues (and sure that makes sense), but like hey! show can you tell me why they are like that then and the significance of that before you give me New Spike?

so what do you think the autumn court’s political system actually looks like?

feudalism !! i think that system fits well for a few different reasons:

canonically, we already know that beron parcels out the land for his sons to rule over in his stead. a feudalistic system would explain why he decided to have so many children to begin with — more sons = more vassals to swear fealty to him, ones that he can better ensure the loyalty of than those of other bloodlines. this further helps to cement vanserra reign. with seven! sons!! he can effectively bump all the other non-vanserra nobles who oversaw parcels of land down the hierarchy, ensuring all are beneath not only him as high lord but also beneath another vanserra lord to boot. it also explains why the younger vanserra boys are so antagonistic towards one another, even knowing the unlikelihood that they will actually become heir — with their brothers out of the picture or just out of their father's favor, they have the opportunity to accrue more power by expanding their provinces or even taking over one another's.

we also know the common folk are suffering while the aristocracy is flourishing. if none of the land they tend actually belongs to them and all of their profits eventually find their way to beron, whether it's coin for rent or the crops they harvest that will ultimately be sold, in exchange for protections that are rarely actually received, this lends more credence to a discomfited autumn court population that is too disenfranchised to do anything about it.

plus there's more fun political drama amongst the vassals and nobles this way! everything has to move up and through this chain of command, which means the corruption can be systemic and spread beyond beron's rule. makes it even harder for eris to enact widespread reform. yummy.

autumn land is always fertile. i guess that's a personal hc more than anything canon, but i feel like that makes sense. anything can be grown, no matter the season, and the soil is always rich, even after a harvest. feudalism is the easiest way to ensure all of the land is being utilized to its fullest, most profitable extent without beron having to overextend himself as a ruler.

while this makes it more difficult for widespread reform, feudalism would give eris more room to maneuver in his own province. in the same way that there's more opportunity for corruption, there is also more opportunity for him to enact positive change — as long as he is coming up with enough coin / crops / what have you to meet quota, he can largely rule as he sees fit without beron's scrutiny. plus, with the land parceled and an isolated sect of nobility beneath him, it's easier to keep any differences in the way he rules compared to his father or his brothers contained. it even fits in with the respect and loyalty he has for his own guard / soldiers versus those of his father — they come from his province, they are his people.

a feudalistic system also gives beron an even better reason beyond just being power-hungry to want to expand his territory in acosf by allying with briallyn. he needs more land to make more profit! and spring might not function exactly like autumn, but it is no doubt the closest when it comes to fertile and bountiful land.

It feels so insane to me that TVA was released 10 years after QOTD. The DM chapter feels like a direct sequel to everything in TVA. It’s bonkers.
