Necrogender / Gendermortem:

(NEH-crow-jehn-der / JEHN-der-mor-tum)

Necrogender/gendermortem is a gender for trans/nb and nd people connected to corpses, cemeteries, rotting flesh, gore, and anything and everything undead, as well as the presence of death and resurrection.

Not to be confused with corpsegender or zombiegender, Gendermortem is a gender related to any and all things dead. Not just normal people, but also animals, plants, fungi, and all variants of undead creatures. Anything dead that was once living can tie into Necrogender.

It’s specific neopronouns are:

cor/corpse

fly/flies

rot/rots

necro/necros

mort/morto

wilt/wilts

⚰️/⚰️s

🧟/🧟s

but it can also be associated with: flesh/fleshself, gore/gores, maggot/maggots, 🩸/🩸s, and blood/bloods!

What it means:

Olive green: rotting flesh, the feeling of rotting

Purple: Dying, wilting, resurrection, and life after death

Dark Grey: Blurred and Obscured Binaries

Necrogender / Gendermortem is typically a neutral gender, but can be masc or fem!

Before they took Eve out of him, Adam was something both. He was Adam but he was also Eve. “Male and female He created them.” He was both then. Even if it was only one rib of Adam that was Eve, how could Adam have ignored such a part of himself? How could all of womanhood have been stored in one man’s rib and he not notice? He had no concept that she would one day be somebody else. That womanhood was his. His originally. His at the formation of man. A grain of womanhood, inside his chest. A man seeded with a feminine side so powerful it would grow the vast diversity of women. There’s no way he didn’t notice. There’s no way he didn’t see that seed, that rib, as part of who he was. After all, he was made in God’s image then.

When God said “Let us make man in our image,” He made Adam in all his bothness. Adam’s rib was like God’s rib. Adam’s womanhood was like God’s womanhood. Adam’s rib was taken out of him. Did he miss it? Did he feel an emptiness there? Or was seeing it grown into a unique creature of glory all its own so divinely delightful he had no time to mourn his little rib. Did the first man ever miss his bothness? God never took out His own rib. That womanness is still in there. God’s bothness is intact. Where is God’s rib now?

Ed not only being Non-binary but also transitioning along the story is really cool and something i have barely seen in other media (esp fem presenting nb) but i think deep down their current stance is just a culmination of their wish to being "someone else" while also being unable to

They were "adopted" by the Guerras yet after the divorce Angel never cared for them, he only has Isabel's custody and doesn't seem to be bothered for this. Francisco calls them a freeloader and they never call any of them "family" even if they legally are

Yet they're still asked to fill the "older brother" role for Isabel

This has led to Ed seeing Isabel has their only link to their family, even if they hadn't realized it yet. With that in mind their mental breakdown in chapter 5 changes a lot. It's not about "losing a friend", deep down it's about not filling the only role they've been asked to.

When they aren't asked to be"the older brother" then they're "the Burger's son", a living memento and reminder of their parent's disappearence

Bruce and Gwen don't really mean anything to Ed since they were too little to remember them, but they're asked to be on a constant mourning, Spender remembers all of the club members yet the only thing he can share about Ed is that they're the Doctor's child and what it means to his relationship with the doctors

This roles are no problem for them, they like to fill the mold that people assign to them after all

But they have become a core part of their identity. And when Ed starts questioning their gender identity they start to question why they can't fill those roles too.

And the wish has come true! they're someone else! they're smart and cute and aren't lacking anything in particular! They've broken the mold!

But that "someone else" is still the kid who wishes to fill the "Isabel's sibling" and "Burger's child" because Ed has entangled those concepts so tight to their identity and self that they can't imagine a version of themself without them.

Ed's identity as a whole has been what others have built for them and they have just accepted to be the reflection of that, realizing they're non-binary and be open about that (even with a big push from the wish) has been the first step to unbuild all of it, but they still need a lot of reconstruction to do which i think they're currently not smart enough to see.

Smitten and Damsel now, gotta get my designs in before the next contest and princess week (which is in august but theres so many princesses)

Smitten:

Avian - so very pink, it was rare even in the time that avians lived for them to be brightly colored. usually designated for aristocracy... not that any one alives remember that

He/she - likes most feminine terms except when it comes to like Knight and prince. would be prefer to be called damsels Aletheas dashing prince or her galant knight, otherwise shes Alethea's wife/girlfriend/lady lover etc

Beguiling Voice - when he speaks people listen and he can get anyone to do anything, kinda like charm person, friends or bardic inspo from dnd depending on the context

he has no memories of the HEA path but does have nightmares abt it the most. Alethea remembers it perfectly tho but isnt gonna bring it up in case it upsets him

when they both meet up w the rest of the voices and vessels, shes very overwhelmed in the other princesses presences. trying to balance the love he has for all of them and the belief he needs to be completely devoted to Alethea causes her a lot of insecurities. none of which he talks to alethea abt cuz she doesnt want to upset them

cant fly v well but pretty good at gliding and using her wings to gain more air during her jumps

Damsel Alethea

Human - Mage, specifically a soul mage where as Prism was a arcanaic mage. the big difference is prism pullz on the threads of reality already there where as Alethea pulls on the threads within them. its harder it control and far more volatile. obvs fire themed

They/them - projection beam go, it takes them so long to figure it out, another voice has to tell them gender is bullshit. up until then when it was just them and smitt they felt they had to be the woman in all this

fire form and beguiling voice - similar to smitt but theyre less aware of it for a while and take even longer to figure out how to stop

the first vessel and voice pair they meet is nightmare and paranoid bscause they werw in the ballroom of the palace. then cheated and razor soon after that. followed a little while after by Cold and Lethe.

Nightmare fucking hates them, and everything they represents, tries to kill them by pushing them in a spring they camped near once. Razor doesnt really hate them (it cant really hate anyone) but does love drama and hurting people. Para had to pull alethea out because they dont know how to swim. afterwards para yells at nightmare and theres a whole drama w that thatll be outlined in their post

Lethe finds them interesting and with their firey soul she can possess them with out them getting hypothermia. cold was expecting to not like them or at most think they were dumb, but on a scouting mission it learned to see them as something wiser than they let on around others. he likes them after that

While cheated and para were the ones who helped them with their gender, they actually got their name way before that when they read a diary in an abandoned house. it was diary of a woman and mentioned her daughter named Alethea who became a knight a long time ago

Thorpe Pride Stickerssss

So! Since Pride Month is upon us, I have decided to make pride stickers of my silly thorpe guys to hand out on park this month!

I was intending to have a Bi in the mix but I had to leave it out for now since I couldn't think of anyone and I kinda wanted at least the majority done before monday so I can actually get them printed and such.

I'm gonna be on park on the 3rd {so this Tuesday!} and the 23rd of this month so if you want one then track me down! Just keep an eye out for dog collars, bandannas and/or a grey messenger bag with a big |-/ badge and a red plush dragon on it!
