i absolutely love your tags on my post about the mysterious woman, it's nice seeing someone who's as passionate about her as me ❤️

Hehehe, thank u, I’m pacing around all happy about it rn (>.< ). I love Simon’s Quest and how genuinely odd everything that happens in it is.

And the Mysterious Woman doesn’t get talked about very much and y’all are missing out!!! She’s so so so fun to speculate about!

I ran into I think it might have been an old conversation on like Gamefaqs or some other comment section somewhere and there were a surprisingly large amount of people in the conversation who said that when the game came out they assumed that she was meant to be Selena, and that’s just aaaaaa so so interesting to me. And it wasn’t just American fans either, there was someone from Japan who assumed the same. It’s so awesome getting to see the perspectives of people who were there when the game was new and this theory has me going nuts sometimes lol. On one hand it makes sense for the ghost woman in the Belmont family graveyard to be someone from the family, but on the other hand is she really “mysterious” anymore if it’s someone Simon would know?

And why did the Mysterious Woman not mention the Tooth of Vlad and only the other five pieces that she knew would partially summon Dracula instead of the intended burning, burying, and breaking of the curse? Especially if she’s meant to be Selena/Simon’s wife or if you interpret her as Sara? Simon’s Quest really went for the twist of having the call to action character and the one to get Simon out of whatever rut he was in for 6 years in the first place be the first person to lie to him. Which is just so!!!! Aaaa!!!!!!!!!!! This also raises the question: is the Mysterious Woman actually a force of good? Or did she just know that Simon was desperate enough to believe what she was saying to him? I’ve seen some people theorize that she was some kind of Dracula cultist or even a possible form of Death because of this.

Or was she completely right that summoning and killing Dracula is the only way to break the curse? After all a lot of other games in the series that revolve around curses end in Dracula being brought back and defeated. But this is also a strange option as usually when Dracula is resurrected it’s by cultists or Death or whoever else and it’s not a good thing and is just for the purpose of having the evil dark lord do evil things. So that would make this game one of the few scenarios in which Dracula’s resurrection is justified which is so weird I just— thinking about Simon’s Quest to hard is gonna kill me one day lol X,,,,,D.

She also says that one line of “within your own heart, you might be able to defeat the evil if you wager your own life” and thinking about that along with the ominous vagueness of the endings all having different eulogies so similar that you could genuinely make an argument for any of them being the canon ending and the fact that almost all of Simon’s symbolism is related to self sacrifice and martyrdom is uh… interesting. Also a lot of people forget that the area around Castlevania is also cursed, not just Simon. The swamps are messed up, the towns get less saturated in color more empty the closer you get to the castle, and there’s monsters everywhere, this wasn’t entirely a selfish endeavor to save himself.

Anyway, the Japanese manual also talks about the Mysterious Woman in specific ways, appearing and disappearing with the mist. And maybe this is a way to keep her as mysterious as possible, but it’s an interesting choice of words. They could’ve said she walked away into the mist, but they specifically said “disappear”, which is an awfully ghostly thing to do. And it’s also weird cause we kinda do see another character suddenly appear out of thin air in a graveyard in who I like to call the Garlic Guy. The Garlic Guy is also massively under appreciated like what the heck is up with that whole interaction 💀💀💀. Go to the graveyard, only at night, and some hooded figure will suddenly begin to exist in front of you if you lay garlic on the ground and then give you a bag. And then like most things it’s completely unexplained and you just have to keep moving on. I’m thoroughly convinced Simon is just as confused as we are lol. And in a way she is also treated the same way as any other NPC: she does something unexplainable and is never mentioned or important again. The way the game is written I swear it’s designed to make you feel anxious and rushed, ya know like a guy who is actively dying would feel.

And the fact that none of this is ever explained is just so ominous. It adds to the tension of the game and themes of not being able to trust anyone. Nobody trusts Simon, Simon can’t determine who’s trustworthy, there’s NPCs that you don’t even get to know who or what they are, sometimes even the hint books aren’t particularly helpful, things happen and you just have to keep going as to not waste any time.

Hopefully any of this makes sense lol I ain’t reading all that again to check cause I gotta go have lunch cause I forgor about it whoops. Anyway I am very normal about Simon’s Quest and every character in it, please everyone play this game it’s good I promise— (;w; )

I'm still brewing my Sonic AU in the background despite the Master Emerald thing. I cant really help it <XD I like the brotherhood that I wrote for the main trio, and they're so fun to draw!

In my AU, Sonic and Miles (that's what he prefers to be called in my AU) are like Knuckles' little brothers. The chaos energy they all have makes them incredibly tough, and allows them to rough house and toss each other about without much pain or injury.

They love to climb all over Knuckles and push his buttons. Knuckles acts annoyed but in reality he is having a lot of fun. He's never had friends that can handle his strength and play style before.

I'd like to draw more of this AU, but I think I have some studying up to do on color theory first 😅 I wanted this comic to be fully rendered but I couldn't get the background colors right. This is probably the first post in a while that I pulled back on the quality of because my art ability was limited. I gotta fix that asap! 😤🏃‍♂️‍➡️

one interesting thing about the solas crestwood catastrophe is that:

if we look at the relationship from solas' perspective, he knows he's already... permanently altered lavellan with his magic, in a way that they didn't consent to/fully understand the ramifications of. oops! that was accidental, and he didn't even know them then, so presumably he manages to get over the guilt enough to have somewhat of a normal relationship afterwards.

but then, let's assume that he did stick to his plan to tell the truth... then he essentially:

altered their physical body with magic.

lied a LOT by omission.

drew them in with friendship/affection before dropping a Huge Moral Burden onto them.

can't REMOVE the magic in his current state, until he gets the orb back.

if the explanation goes badly, and lavellan ends up hating him/disagreeing with his plan, they wouldn't even be able to tell him to fuck off permanently. bc the anchor is still slowly killing them.

if lavellan agrees with his plan in theory, then... they still have to accept the deaths of most people they knew and cared about. which even if they're ok with for the Greater Good™, will horrifically change their personality and ruin their life.

if lavellan agrees to help with the plan, then... they're basically solas' agent afterwards, and will have to personally bloody their hands even more. and the power differential only gets Worse.

so he's... a bit mythal-esque in his approach, by accident, isn't he? RIP! mythal is of course, the Best Of The Evanuris™ and a girlboss, but that's presumably unsettling to him when he realizes it. it seems like he had thought his confession through up to the point of "hm, maybe if i explain it really well, they'll accept me as the dread wolf, and the necessity of my plan? and we'll be together :)" without planning any further steps fhsjsgjf

so then he goes "oh, fuck. nevermind. what if i just stay as solas the Normal Apostate™ a bit longer. but, i need SOME pretext about why we're even here, or what 'the truth' is that i'm telling them. uhhhh... the vallaslin are... removable?" out of reflex.

then that's, once again:

lying, and with the expectation that he'd have to keep lying even longer.

encouraging lavellan to change an integral part of themselves, when they trust him deeply.

which is STILL very mythal-esque, or possibly dread wolf vs his foes type of behaviour, and it's towards someone that he loves! even when he's trying to be solas the Normal Apostate™. incredible. then solas either takes off the vallaslin, and realizes that he's altered lavellan further on false pretenses; or lavellan refuses, and he realizes that he's asked them to change themselves, still on false pretenses. and then he decides that it's Joever and there's no way to remain in the relationship that preserves his ethics. presumably, the fact that he killed felassan for showing 2% of this emotional bias towards mortals, is also weighing on him throughout.

BUT. then he does say afterwards that "everything will be made clear once corypheus is defeated". which is a pretty douchey thing to say if he expects to take the orb, and then for lavellan to like... die in the veilfall immediately? hdjsjfhsf. so to me, that seems like he had an intention to retake the anchor, and then tear down the veil and reveal his identity, and expected lavellan to still be alive afterwards to see it. and then they would no longer be magically attached to him, so at least that would equalize the situation a bit.

but then the orb breaks too! so, he has to slink off with 0 additional clarity to lavellan beyond saying "ough... what we had was real 🥺" before going to kill mythal himself. absolute trainwreck of a breakup.

So... Anyone else headcanon Buggy as Vivi's long lost uncle?

No? Just me? OK...

Disclaimer: Do I actually believe this is canon? No. But do I want it to be? Yes.

My reasoning for this is fairly simple:

Blue hair.

I did my math, and King Cobra is about eleven (11) years older than Buggy — which is a pretty big age gap but we're not focusing on him — we're focusing on his wife, Titi, who Vivi is apparently the spitting image of.

Queen Titi is the one responsible for Vivi's blue hair, and thus she is the one who I'm headcanoning Buggy to be related to.

And, as it is entirely common for couples to have age gaps of a few years or so... Titi can help to close that afformentioned age gap.

Whereas King Cobra might be eleven years older than Buggy, it's not unreasonable to assume that Titi could've been five or so years younger — shortening the siblings' age gap to a measly five or six years — which is not nearly as unreasonable!

Hell, we might as well throw Franky in there as well! He's got similarly blue hair and he's only three years younger than Buggy!

I last looked up these ages like a day or two ago so here's hoping I didn't remember any wrong!

Now, how could they be related if they all grew up in such different places?

Answer: Their parents are unknowns! For all three of them!

If I'm remembering right, Franky's parents were said to have been pirates who abandoned him.

Buggy's parents are a complete unknown since, unlike Shanks, Oda hasn't told us anything about how he wound up on the Rogers' ship.

And Titi? We don't know much about her at all.

So it is entirely possible that Franky wasn't the only kid his parents abandoned...

Not to mention that Alabasta and Water 7 are fairly close to one other.

And we have no idea where Buggy is originally from, but "somewhere in the Grand Line" is a pretty safe estimate.

So. One wound up in Alabasta, another in Water 7, and the third got picked up by Gol D. Roger himself.

Water 7 has a lot of incoming and outgoing ships, right? So it's not that hard to believe that they all could've been abandoned there originally, but two wound up on outgoing ships...

Titi, the oldest, snuck aboard a ship bound to Alabasta as a stowaway.

Buggy, the middle child, got kidnapped by Roger who pointed at him and said, "Is anybody gonna take this?" And then didn't wait for an answer.

And Franky, the youngest, never left in the first place.

Edit: OK, so I checked out Franky's backstory and here's how it apparently went:

Cutty Flam, originally born in the South Blue, was yeeted by his pirate parents at a young age — literally. Those jerks actually threw him off their ship and into the water — for some godforsaken reason.

He was then rescued by Tom the Fish-Man, legendary shipwright.

At some point Tom saw Cutty assemble a cannon out of scrap metal, and after that he decided to take him on as an apprentice.

Iceberg, Tom's other apprentice, decided to nickname him "Franky" because apparently "Cutty Flam" is too weird a name. Pot, meet kettle.

And that's all the relevant info.

Hmm... Now what can we do with this?

Well, if his parents were just yeeting kids off the ship as they go... That makes things a lot easier, actually.

How did they end up on different islands, all split up? Easy! Their shitty parents were literally just yeeting them off the ship whenever.

First one to get yeeted got picked up by a ship returning to Alabasta, who took mercy on the innocent child and brought them home. (Maybe it was the royal family returning from the Revelry? That could explain how Cobra and Titi first met...)

The second child to get yeeted was rescued by Roger and his crew, who conveniently were already on the hunt for a playmate for their first child — Crocus and Rayleigh were very insistent that it's extremely important for a child's development for them to have friends their own age growing up...

The third child got yeeted somewhere in the vicinity of Water 7, and was saved by Tom; His story after that follows canon.

Why were they yeeted in different locations and at different times, you ask? My answer: Consider their ages.

I don't know what kind of scumbag pirates yeet their own children to their supposed deaths, but perhaps it's the same kind who have children for nefarious reasons...

Perhaps they had some kind of use for a young child — fake hostage? bait? tax break?! — but once they reach a certain age... Suddenly, the kid's not so useful anymore.

And so they get dumped, just in time for their asshole parents to give birth to a new heir.

And rinse and repeat...

And so we got Titi, and Buggy, and Franky — all born a handful of years apart and dumped in different locations after they were no longer useful for their parents' schemes.

If we give Buggy & Titi the same age gap as Franky & Buggy then Titi would've been 40 pre- and 42 post-timeskip, a total of eight (8) years younger than Cobra. Not unrealistic at all!

Then again, she was their first child so it's entirely possibly they held off longer before giving in and having another child to replace her — not because they cared about her, but because they would've been reluctant to have to start all over again with raising another noisy, annoying baby, and would've preferred to keep running the scam with her, seeing as she was already trained and fairly self-sufficient.

So maybe she's a little older. A year or two perhaps? That would be one year to dilly-dally, and one year for the new kid to be born.

Let's make it a total of three extra years: two years they spent convinced they could get the scam to continue working even as she got older, and then the one year it took for them to have baby Buggy after they gave up hope.

So that makes Titi six years older than Buggy, nine years older than Franky, and five years younger than Cobra.

If she had been alive during canon events, she would've been 43 years old pre-timeskip and 46 years old post-timeskip.

Drabble:

As the first and oldest, Titi was well aware of her parents intentions to replace her.

And while as a child her first priority was to survive... As she got older and eventually had her own daughter, she might've found herself wondering about her possible siblings...

What happened to them?

How many were there?

Were they still alive?

Had they been dumped and abandoned as well?

Where were they now?

...And could she find them?

Late at night she would have trouble sleeping, frequently thinking of the other children like her that she never got the chance to meet...

Her husband, Nefertari Cobra, would notice and ask her what was troubling her, and she would confess her regrets...

And Cobra, sweet and kind man that he is, would promise to do his very best to find her siblings for her.

And later, when she passed, he never stopped looking.

Until, one day...

You're probably thinking something along the lines of, "but there are a bunch more characters with blue hair! What about them?"

I hear you, and my response is this:

Not like this. Sure, Buggy and Vivi's hair aren't colored exactly the same — but compared to everyone else with blue hair? The only ones that get close are Franky (who I actually ended up slipping into this headcanon) and that one guy from Wano whose hair is dyed, so... He doesn't count.

(And even past the hair color, there's also the similar texture and shape that becomes extremely apparent when Buggy and Vivi have their hair styled the same way — as shown clearly in the images above...

I mean, they've got the same waves and everything! For god's sake, even their hairbands are nearly identical! Like, c'mon!

Coincidence? I think not!)

Deltarune CMYK Theory

One of the most glaringly strange aspect of Deltarune is Kris for some reason being bright Cyan , its often brushed off ,

However , we feel Kris being Blue / Cyan is a big key to Deltarune in understanding what exactly is happening .

We've personally haven't seen anyone mention CMYK aspect of Deltarune , so this theory is entirely our (@5thcloud) own theory and take .

[Start of Theory]

Color has always been part of UTDR , Undertale as color SOUL traits and importance of color association

And here in Deltarune , the importance of Colors is stronger than ever , more than what you can possibly imagine .

1 . How CMYK and RGB Models works and Ties to Deltarune

You may know CMYK from printer ink and RGB to something like LED lights , its because they're the Primary Colors for their respective Models .

However , they do not work separately , instead they work as one . They create each other and are equivalents of each other , they cant exist without one another , just as the idea of Lightners and Darkners , and how Darkners have equivalent objects

(Red , Yellow , Blue are considered outdated colors for paint as they cannot make all colors , however of course it can still be used)

And either way if its Subtractive or Additive Model , Color is light itself , if theres no light then theres no color . The Models are only used for How the color is being created or achieved .

As to why we feel Kris is Cyan , its so that the main trio creates a sort of corrupted CMY model , Cyan being Kris , Magenta being Susie , and Green / Yellow being Ralsei / Noelle ( will get into this part in sections 2 and 3 )

Also , yes this does mean Cyan and Blue ARE considered different colors on this post and in these Color Models despite both generally being seen as just different shade of blue .

Its also fun note that the color question while making the vessel does mention Cyan separately , we do feel its still poking fun at fact that "its literally just light blue and blue is already here" as well as reference Kris

But this is stronger gesture at these Models as , along with Cyan , the other answers are "Red , Green , Blue" , the 3 Primary Colors of Light

It also important remember that Undertale also counted Cyan and Blue as different things for the SOULs , being Perseverance and Integrity

2 . Additive and Subtractive Models for Lightners and Darkners are swapped Despite being Lightners , Cyan (Kris) , Magenta (Susie) , and Yellow (Noelle) are of the Subtractive Pigment Model that mixes to Black , they aren't the primaries for light .

While Ralsei , who is a Darkner , is Green which is part of the Additive Light Model that mixes to white , he Is light .

( Though it is noted that Kris can actually be seen as both Blue and Cyan addressed in Section 4 , we also arent addressing Berdly as he never joins party to confirm his color associations as of Chapter 4 , as Noelle is more of a Pale Green-Yellow in Dark World , yet is associated with Pure Yellow without Green )

The Cyan and Magenta can also be "mistaken" colors , as they Are lighter than Blue and Red , but reason why the primaries of Subtractive Pigment is lighter is because they mix darker , thus starting lighter helps ,

Think of paint , how you'd mix lighter shades of paint in small parts instead of going too much at once as it can get dark n muddied fast

‼️So in other words , they Appear to be "light" , however in actuality its so they can mix to darker more vivid colors .

How we would more specifically word it is that , the Lightners are named that Not because they're the bringer of light or are light , but because they start as light in color and also of course because they reside in light

But truly , Lightners bring darkness

And the opposite is true here , Darkners are not bringer of darkness or Literal darkness , but instead start as dark and reside in dark , and become light .

Darkners are bringers of light .

3 . Ralsei's Green and Noelle's Yellow are equivalent Yellow (pigment) and Green (light) are equivalents of each other .

Ralsei is Green and his association is of Pacifism , while Noelle is Yellow and strongly associated with the Weird Route (ie. deltarune's no mercy route equivalent) .

They both draw ties to each other in both idea and color , they both are support , associated with prayer , magic , with same heal spell , and so far in story , Noelle and Ralsei dont appear in battle together

So whether its Ralsei or Noelle in party , or if Kris is either Blue (light) or Cyan (pigment) , the party will still make a corrupted form of CMY

Also , because Green isnt part of the CMY Model that Kris and Susie are part of , it can be extra reason why Ralsei's room is entirely blacked out . His color isnt part of the trio

Its also noted that the depiction of the Deltarune symbol in Kris' room , its the Green triangle that points away

Additive Light Colors start dark , and mix to light .

4 . Kris' Cyan , Blue , and maybe Black of K .

In the Additive Model , you mix Green and Blue to get Cyan , Kris' color . Its been noted at start of game that "the green crayon is missing" , green sweater , as well as Asriel's possible association with Green and Ralsei's resemblance to Asriel (even though he isnt Asriel)

In Subtractive Pigment Model , Yellow and Cyan together makes Green , colors of them in Light World

To make Blue in Subtractive Pigment , you mix Cyan and Magenta , which are already the other colors of Kris in dark world .

The colors they are mix into themselves to create more of their own colors .

- Do also note that , even if feel these are too specific , Kris also inverts into Blue and Cyan , which is another reason why they could be Blue / Cyan

Another thing that more of a stretch , youll see that CMYK acronym , Black is abbreviated as K as B is taken by Blue (K being taken from last letter)

Kris' name is more generally spelt more like "Chris" with a C , it can be seen as "changed to K to make more original or differentiate from Chara" which we dont doubt is the main reason or the only reason

However , K is represented as Black and is of course part of the Subtractive Pigment Model . Considering Kris' strange association with the Roaring Knight as well as opening Dark Fountains , its certainly something !

Why Kris specifically ? The Dark Fountain is often colored Cyan / Blue ( their colors ) as well as Black , the Prophecy is depicted Blue and Cyan

Black too is also a rainbow of all colors just as White , just that all colors together in a Subtractive Model will become Black .

To us , Blue / Cyan is a very interesting choice for Kris cuz as far as we personally know , they're not associated with anything Blue in the Light World ,

But in both CMYK and RGB , Hues of Blue are present in both Models undeniably , while Magenta - Red , and Green - Yellow are seen as very much different colors ,

many people especially non-artists will see Cyan - Blue as the same just different shades ( goes back to the vessel creation joke of both Cyan and Blue being listed as possible favorite colors )

Not to mention here with Black being K because B already taken by Blue , so Kris (to us) being associated with Black , Cyan , and Blue , hell even possibly White because of the odd save point , its a really powerful thing .

They're part of both Light and Dark .

Blue and Cyan are powerful .

Extra note , Kris portrait is Very Oddly a very noticeably different shade of "Cyan" , which more strongly reads as "Blue" , which is odd outlier as rest of characters have portrait colors very close to their HP bar

However if color pick their portrait , it says it's still "Cyan" , however we argue that this is simply for accessibility as "True Blue" is very dark and doesn't appear well on Black , As well as lighter tones of "True Blue" WILL appear Purple .

And imo after testing colors that keeps the Brightness and Saturation and just changing the Hue ,

the Color used for their Portrait is closest to Blue as can be while being Saturated and clear on a Black Background as a small sprite .

Remember , Colors are subjective as all eyes and interpretations are different

So even if it does sound like a cheap excuse to consider them Blue part of the Additive Light Model despite portrait "really" being more Cyan ,

it doesnt change fact that their portrait Specifically was made into a different shade that strongly reads as Blue instead of Cyan , and nowhere near the same Shade or Hue as their HP bar unlike the other characters .

5 . In Pigment , Magenta and Yellow creates Red In Subtractive Pigment Model , Magenta and Yellow mixes to get Red . Magenta and Yellow is associated with Spamton , as well as him referencing being on puppet strings in relation to Kris too

Though , our Spamton association with Magenta isnt perfect as his pink is more so of a Red-Pink while Magenta is instead more on the side of blue , however hes been at least drawn One time with specifically Magenta so , yeah </3

Magenta and Red are Equivalents and more interestingly to us , Magenta (pigment) and Red (light) are equivalents to each other , which is something think about as the Player is given several opportunities to try and sway Susie .

Not to mention , Susie's secondary color is Yellow , being her eyes , teeth , etc. , and heart detail on her belt

Not only that , Susie parallels the idea of the Player , that being of Control . At the start she is the one to echo "You are not in control" , idea of control is often represented in Red

So for Susie's Magenta to be Equivalent to Red , for Yellow and Magenta to mix into Red , for the Player to also be prompted to sway her , its ... wowie .

In Light , Blue and Red creates Magenta Self explanatory , Blue of Kris + Red of Player or Kris' SOUL , itll mix to Magenta

So color wise , Magenta and Red are very strongly associated

Magenta in Trio Magenta for the main trio has always been an interesting color to us

Despite the trio being mostly monochrome , Magenta is shared across the whole trio , with Susie being mainly Magenta by default , Ralsei's scarf being Magenta , and Kris' cape having Magenta stripes to reference Frisk

Even more drawing to this is how Ralsei's battle portrait is only one with a 2nd color , being Magenta .

Noelle Doesn't have Magenta , however she does keep her Red nose , again Red and Magenta are equivalents .

6 . Why Might Kris' Save Point Light be White ?

In Additive Light Model , Green and Red mixes to Yellow , giving the Undertale's signature Yellow save point . If you add Blue into it , itll become White as its RGB all together .

White is also all colors combined , the full rainbow

It can of course also be just interpreted as "all light together" instead of specifically "yellow light + blue light"

7 . Dark Sanctuary's Hue Shift

To quickly cover , in Dark Sanctuary of Ch 4 their colors Do change , however we dont know how much this proves or say anything about our theory

At first glance it feels like it Must say something , however its simply just a color shift of all colors to one direction (in this case , clockwise)

it Is interesting as this only place so far in story where their colors are different , Ralsei becoming Blue , Susie being Yellow-ish plus Green secondary color ,

While overall Kris practically stays the same . This goes with the idea of how Blue and Cyan are still Hues of Blue

So despite having the roughly same amount of shift , they still appear as their own color unlike the others .

Blue and Cyan are powerful .

Also interesting note , despite Ralsei's and Kris' Magenta being Extremely close in color in their usual form ,

Here in Sanctuary , Ralsei's shifted Magenta to Orange looks much more Yellowish and lighter , lot softer . While Kris' shifted Magenta looks much more of a harsh Red-Orange

Not about Deltarune Theory but more just Color Theory relating to light , despite being a simple hue shift with some extra adjustments , we feel this is a great example to show how colors of light and rainbow Arent perfectly spaced even ,

some colors of light take up much more space such as Green , while others like Yellow take up little space (but does blend lot with Orange to Red)

So when shifted , despite our Susie edit overshooting the Green , it still lands on green ! If this was somewhere else on the wheel , itd easily land on a completely different color

This whole theory can very much be "looking too hard" ,

but it just feels too uncanny to us with how , to us , it so strongly explains why Kris is Bright Cyan , and why Noelle's color association is Pure Yellow despite being a Pale Green-Yellow in Dark World , all this Magenta , and also the Deltarune's White Save Points being able be explained with Additive Light color mixing

As well as , these are still VERY specific colors chosen , they couldve been Any color , yet they all specifically line up with CMY + Green (and possibly Blue , both still part of the RGB Light model) , and CMY not being of Light primaries .

We dont have any doubts that it Can just be "these colors look good together" or more of a small reference to these models thats not serious , but you never know

Reset the series: episode 1 clown theory

Yes, I have a theory. Yes, already. Yes, it is based solely on what we've seen in episode 1. Yes, it's 97% made up by my brain. Yes, I should probably just call it a fanfic idea.

Let's move on. Spoilers for episode 1 ahead.

Let me propose: 3 timelines.

#1: the actual original timeline, which we have not seen yet in the series and which my brain totally just made up,

#2: the original timeline in episode 1, where we first meet Armin the jaded actor with his massive mansion and cheating boyfriend,

#3: the timeline that Armin gets sent back to in episode 1, when he wakes up in his 20-year-old body.

So! Timeline 1: Armin and Thada meet, fall in love and are happy together. Armin is an aspiring actor rising to fame. Thada is Mr CEO of Crown Enterprises, family issues included. Revenge/scheming leads to an attempt at Thada's life - but Armin, who has yet to fulfill his dream of becoming a famous actor, steps in front of Thada and takes the bullet for him - and dies. (which is foreshadowed in the one line scene where he takes the bullet for First's character)

Thada, a broken man, wishes for a second chance, steps into traffic - and gets RESET.

He wakes up in timeline #2, heartbroken and guilt ridden. He blames himself for Armin's death, and decides to support Armin from behind the scenes without ever actually meeting him (which would explain how he can know Armin before he becomes famous and become his first fan). Thada watches as Armin rises to stardom, finally accomplishing his dream of becoming a famous actor - but from the distance, Thada cannot see how empty and joyless Armin's life at the top has become.

Queue; the award, the drugged champagne, the cheating boyfriend, the fight on the balcony, Armin falling to his death to the flashing of cameras - and so Armin gets RESET.

We see him wake up in timeline #3 in episode 1, and he starts to see the potential of his "second" chance. He retains his memories from timeline #2, but here Thada does not retain his full memories of #1. He is simply... drawn to this man who seems so familiar to his heart.

And so the events play out. Armin navigates his twenties with his memories from #2. He falls for Thada, who is already smitten. He climbs to fame faster than ever, while Thada supports him... and tries to keep his family's scheming in check.

And so, the events of #1 repeat themself - Armin takes a bullet for Thada and dies (yes he dies in every timeline don't psychoanalyse me ok?)

He wakes up in a hospital - and realises that he has been RESET again. Only this time, he is back in #2. He is once more the famous factor with a massive mansion and an award. He didn't die, but has been in a coma. Meanwhile, his cheating boyfriend and backstabbing friend have been charged with manslaughter. First and Winner (what were their characters called?) are being investigated because of the drugs. And Armin... Armin now knows who "T.D." is.

He seeks him out, his lover from a different timeline, who he now knows has been watching all this time. They meet up (probably with Armin dramatically storming into Thada's very fancy office) and quickly realise that though their memories together are from different timelines, their love is true.

And so the bad guys get punished, and our boys get to spend the rest of their lives together, slowly reconnecting and getting to know each other again while figuring out how their timelines differ - probably over fancy dinner, expensive drinks and sexy baths in the private pool.

And that, my dears, is my clown theory based on Reset episode 1.

Could Rayleigh and Shakky be Crocodile's parents?

So the thing is, I was gonna post about this like ages ago, but then I canned my original post. Because I realized that based on the timeline we have, for this theory to be true Shakky would've had to become pregnant at age 17 and given birth at 18 while Rayleigh was like 31. And needless to say, that's gross as hell. So yeah, I cancelled that original theory post because of that.

But then I realized that between Oda repeatedly treating 17 year olds as """not children""" in OP (see: Dragon literally saying Luffy isn't a child anymore at age 17), and other shit like how 16 year old Pudding was almost married to 21 year old Sanji

Like shit's creepy as hell. But alas, because Oda is Oda, it would actually fit in-universe. Like the theory is still fucking viable. Because fucking Oda, man.

And god fucking damnit the thought just keeps on haunting me. Because I am unironically curious whether or not this could be a genuine, viable theory. So yeah. I just need to get this theory out of my system. Let's just get it done with, alright

So what kind of started off this theory in my mind was remembering Buggy's off-hand comment/joke about Rayleigh being Luffy's uncle

Because that got me also thinking about some other, vaguely related theories, and like... Like we all know these theories, right;

that Luffy's mom is a Kuja (people speculate that's why Kuma sent him to Amazon Lily, that Luffy had a connection to the island)

that Crocodile has Kuja heritage (the Missing Empress is pretty much debunked but it is a popular, related and vaguely relevant theory too)

that Crocodile is Luffy's other dad

And I could not help but to wonder if these theories could somehow be combined together into one Giga Theory

And the funny thing is, we know that Rayleigh did marry a Kuja Empress, Shakky. Which actually does mean that the four theories could be mashed together. Like sure the other three theories could already be combo'd together but Buggy's theory would somehow really complement the other theories and bring them all together???

Of course, if Crocodad is real and Rayleigh turned out to be Crocodile's dad, then Buggy's comment wouldn't be fully accurate, since Rayleigh would be Luffy's other grandfather, not uncle. But it'd still be funny as hell in its own right, since the two would turn out to be blood-relatives. Like how the fuck was Buggy onto something there. Not to mention, as of now, two of Buggy's predictions in the Summit War Saga have already turned true (him becoming a Shichibukai and then a Yonkou, the only one that hasn't come true yet is him becoming Pirate King)

But indeed, if Shakky and Rayleigh were Crocodile's parents, then that would mean Crocodile would have Kuja heritage, it would mean Luffy's birthing parent was (technically) a Kuja, Buggy's joke would be kind of true and, yeah, Crocodad Real. That would be insane. We got a full fucken bingo over here

But then we have all these details to considder;

We know Shakky quit being the Kuja Empress and a pirate 42 years ago, when she moved to Sabaody and opened her bar. We don't know why she did this move, especially because at this point Rayleigh should've still been adventuring with Roger's crew

At that point, Crocodile would've been 4 years old

Based on Baby Croc's art, he isn't wearing Kuja clothes. If he had been raised in Amazon Lily then surely he would've been wearing their clothes*, but if he moved to Sabaody with Shakky and was raised there, then his get-up would fit in just fine

The trivia books claim Crocodile is a Grand Line native; regardless of if he was raised in Amazon Lily or Sabaody, both would add up

*(To be fair, if Oda had drawn Baby Croc in Kuja Clothes, that would've been a MASSIVE SPOILER to drop in an SBS. And Stampede did go out of its way to NOT include Baby Croc in the credits when all the other Baby Shichibukai were, so like, Baby Croc's art isn't Absolute Lore or anything, it is subject to change)

Indeed, if Shakky had decided to move out of Amazon Lily and went to Sabaody specifically knowing that if Roger's crew ever passed by then that would make sense, since it would mean she'd have an increased chance at seeing her husband again (if only briefly). It would also make sense if she moved out with her child and/or because she had a child, since it'd make it easier for her to ensure her child and the father could maybe get to meet and spend time together, as staying on Amazon Lily would've meant Rayleigh wouldn't have been able to enter the town even if he DID swam all the way there. (Also her options would've been to either leave her child behind or bring the child with her, and if she didn't want the kid to grow up in Amazon Lily for whatever reason then this would've been the perfect opportunity to remove that child from the island)

If Crocodile grew up in Sabaody then it could explain things like Baby Croc's serious expression and how he has a gun; there are dangerous people in Sabaody, the kid would've had to learn to defend himself from a young age (and I'm sure Shakky would've been happy to teach her child how to fight, since the Kuja are fierce warriors and being powerful is beautiful etc). It would also explain Crocodile's racism towards Jinbei, since anti-Fishman racism is a common issue in Sabaody. He would also have grown up in a place where slavery and other shit is a commonly known and seen thing, as well as the crimes of the Tenryuubito. This would explain a lot about his general attitude towards the World Government

Also, if both of Crocodile's parents were pirates, and his dad also happened to literally be on the ship of the Pirate King... Yeah it would explain his career choises. And why he had gone to Roger's execution too, since that would've been not just the Greatest Pirate In The World, but also his father's captain

And if these two were Croc's parents, it could explain his title; he could be "Sir" Crocodile because he is the son of an empress, or it could be a fucked up abbreviation from Silvers (note: it doesn't work like that in Japanese, since "sir" is like "saa" while "silvers" is "shirubaasu", but that's why I said "fucked up abbreviation")

Either way, his fullname would then be Sir Silvers Crocodile

A fitting name for a silver medalist, is it not

Also I'll throw this out there; don't want to put too much money on the whole "they look similar" thing due to Oda's same face syndrome, but there is an argument to be made about Oda's fem!Croc looking quite similar to Shakky, while if you squint your eyes, a younger Rayleigh could kinda look a bit like regular Croc (they even have the same haircut, awe), though it's hard to judge since we have so little art of young Rayleigh and old Rayleigh is, well, visibly much older than Crocodile

Really the only things I can think of that COULD debunk the idea are that Crocodile is MUCH TALLER than either Rayleigh or Shakky, and his bloodtype doesn't match (the two are A/AB while Croc is O). And my normal instinct would be like "if they were related then surely these details would add up because Oda is insane", but also. They are minor details. IDK man

Also, Crocodile aside. Shakky and Rayleigh have known each other for a long ass time, and Rayleigh's tendency to sleep around, it is entirely possible the two could have had a child at some point. And that really would explain why Shakky quit being an Empress. Like it doesn't even have to be Crocodile, it would just make sense if they had a kid and if that kid became the reason to Shakky quitting. The question is, who could that child then be?? And what happened to them??

Don’t look too close at the faces, had to speedrun this so I could actually motivate myself to finish the entire lineup. Definitely not my best work. Clothing was a pain to figure out and I’ll definitely change some things in the future as I’m still not entirely happy with the general aesthetics of some sets. Zuri and Efe were the worst to figure out, their clothing styles were very modern in comparison to what I’m going for with Ancient Ruins so it took me a while.

But first of all, what is a NeoBuilder?

Lore entry Ahead, body horror warning, nothing too extreme I wouldn’t say, but the concept definitely isn’t the prettiest.

“NeoBuilder” describes a category of individuals that appear to be within the homo-genus (Artisan Family.).

The dissection of a deactivated individual showed (us) they are made of about 85% mechanical components, most of which consist of copper and iron. Organs however remain fully functional and can be traced back to Ancient Artisans in origin through DNA sampling. Blood vessels aswell as a large portion of their flesh has been replaced by machinery, activated regulated and moved through restricted soul energy coursing through their veins as blood would on a fully biological human.

The change of energy source makes them effectively immune to the green plague, which is transmitted through blood. In place of a heart they have a still unnamed chamber (Ch1), acting akin to a cockpit housing a freshly created soul, which is replaced by converting experience farmed in the previous lifecycle to the next, taking the raw energy and morphing it into a new soul. As souls are neither human nor animal but simply an energy cluster made of (if found post mortum) memories and life experience this can easily (and understandably) be transferred, even if the origin of the experience in question happens to be non-sentient. The experience is collected and stored within yet another unnamed organ replacing their left kidney (Ch2).

But do not be fooled, this process by no means makes them immortal. If the body is in critical shape it will resort to exporting the active soul and using the remaining soul energy still running through the machinery to activate the emergency program. In this state the body will do nothing but return to whatever point the machine has clocked as “safe” (this kind of reset happens when the person is resting for an extended period of time, as it marks said area as safe enough to stay vulnerable within.) and fix its injuries back to base point, excluding the bio-matter, as there no longer is any such material around. Through the expelling of the last soul, and slow process of developing a new one, the machine will power down there until the next energy burst. This means that even though the body itself remains alive, every life cycle houses a different person. If you see the same NeoBuilder twice it is therefore not guaranteed it will come with the same intention, as it might be a completely different soul speaking through the same form.

If the damage is too bad however, the NeoBuilder will shut down and cannot be reactivated unless one with actual knowledge of how to do so were to interfere. The how has been lost to history however, we blame the creature of despair and decay that shall not be named. It is different from deactivation, as it renders the body permanently dead. Many NeoBuilders have deactivated, we assume only 9 of the previous 30 remain.

We have no idea as to why these manmade humanoids were created, as the why has also been buried and lost to years of untouched unaddressed missing history.

Infact, their names are quite new, till about half a century ago, due to my own research if I may pat myself on the back, we had assumed them to be a strange strain of plague infested ancients, as they’d always remained distant to us and a dead specimen was a more than rare find. It is not a fully worked out name whatsoever, the “Builder” merely connecting them to the Artisan family, and the word “Neo”- as in “New” replacing the word “Ancient” we’ve been using to describe the other half of the family thus far, it is a placeholder by all means, but so is the latter.

Their nature would definitively make them more akin to bio-mechanical golems, however we chose to group them into the artisan family for the previously mentioned bio material, which matched identical to that of the mummified remains cave divers had found a few years back lodged between long forgotten pathways shut to time. Wasn’t a pretty sight when they showed me. One would think after a good few millennia they’d be nothing but a pile of ash and bones, but low oxygen levels within the closed off cave system made for some awfully good preservation, not pretty I dare say, I’m just glad nothing snapped at me during inspection as, perhaps in this case thankfully, the undead plague only infects the living; anything that doesn’t breathe and lacks running blood cannot fall victim to such a thing. But personal tangent aside, some interesting notes here:

- Despite the soul of the Neobuilder swapping with each lifecycle they generally keep the same base morals of the previous host.

- it seems Mother Earth isn’t very fond of them for whatever reason. The undead are very manageable if one isn’t around, but as soon as one chooses to stay in close vicinity it very quickly gets nearly impossible to maneuver, they’re like a magnet. It seems this is the reason they rarely last longer than 20 years within a single lifecycle.

- they’re actually quite cooperative, and many have learned our language. Though sorrowfully it appears they only store a single slot for their language, and forget all other information of a previously spoken one upon interaction (perhaps they were meant as a situational translation device?). I’ve attempted my best to reteach them, but I’m no linguist; I limit my research to history, with a limited understanding of biology. To figure out the mechanics alone I had to get a whole other villager to help my case.

- despite a large portion of their flesh being replaced by mechanical components an extra layer of the fat cells within the subcutis create an artificial layer of flesh like material dampening any slashes at the golem like form below.

More research to be added once I acquire more material to work with. This is a work in progress.

Understudied field, more research either classified information or unable to be attained due to both lack of examples and individuals willing enough to risk their lives acquiring such needless information. Ivan D. P. Retired shortly after writing his book discussing categorized biological information regarding the entities within our realm, which has since been removed from the market. The authors doctor title has been revoked due to a less than fortunate suspected alliance with the Illager cult on his end, so choose the information you’re willing to believe wisely, the villages dislike him for a reason.
