Good Parents, bad scientists…
I always see the bad Fenton parents au but what if they were actually really kind, loving and accepting parents but they truly believed their son was dead and a ghost had decided to take his form to torment them. Warning ⚠️: angst
It had been two weeks since they learn the truth, two weeks since Maddie saw that thing change its form to look like her baby, two weeks since she broke down in tears to her husband and told him their baby boy was dead.
Two weeks watching as that thing played with them like a predator stalking its prey, tormenting them with the memory of their son.
When it went to school that day to continue its charade Maddie stood frozen as she stared at the door. She knew what they had to do, they’d been working on a weapon that would wipe that creature from existence.
It hadn’t even crossed her mind to dissect the vile creature.
She knew what it was, she knew it wasn’t her baby..
But the thought of seeing her baby on their table-
Just the passing thought had her rushing to vomit in the trash and weep until Jack wrapped her up in his warm, strong, LIVING arms and held her close until her tears stopped.
It would be over soon…
Soon she could mourn her baby without that creature mocking his memory….
It walked in on her looking over her sons baby pictures when it got back from school and it took every ounce of strength to not flinch when it sat beside her and started act like it remembered certain moments.
She fled with the pathetic excuse of making dinner when it started to talk about her daughter. The thought of it targeting her little girl turning her blood cold.
When she heard it talking to Jazz that night, asking her if she noticed anything off with their parents lately, she knew they were out of time.
They had to act now before it realized they were onto it.
The next day as Jazz left the house they asked ‘Danny’ to wait a moment so they could talk.
Unfortunately the vile creature caught onto their plan when Jack activated the ghost shield to keep it trapped it the house.
She didn’t know how it managed to get the portal open, she didn’t really care.
Jack had managed to hit it with their new weapon.
It would either destabilize in the ghost zone or at the very least, it would never be able to take her sons form ever again.
It was finally over…
They agreed to seal the portal after it went through, no amount of scientific discussion was worth letting that thing loose…
After the shut down the portal, making sure no one would ever be able to turn it back on, she climbed the steps and walked into her little boys room.
She looked around at the model rockets and plastic stars and collapsed to the floor followed by her husband and together they could finally grieve their baby boy.
Her little astronaut that would never again see the stars he loved so much…

so I've seen a lot of people wishing the cast of ghosts would appear together on taskmaster but what about the actual ghosts themselves? (let's just imagine everybody can see them for the purposes of this post... perhaps they all fell off the knappett)
my initial thoughts are:
robin would generally go for the more straightforward physical solutions before suddenly surprising everybody with an extremely cerebral move
julian would attempt to bribe alex at every turn and get into fights with thomas when they're put into a team of two
every single prize task he brings in is just a massive wad of cash of dubious origin
the captain would get a crush on a distractingly handsome cameraman, keep nervously looking over at him and end up fumbling a task he was about to absolutely ace
thomas spends so long deliberating over the exact meaning and wording of each task he never manages to actually finish any, completely breaking alex
kitty is generally rubbish at the tasks but she has so much fun every time that she's a joy to watch and everybody is very charmed by - and protective of her - in the studio
mary HATES alex's guts and spends every task roasting the shit out of him
her whimsy and lateral thinking pay off big time in the final episode
pat generally thrives but has one memorable breakdown after greg arbitrarily gives him one point, shouting, "what sort of game show is this anyway?? give me 'it's a knockout' over this rubbish any day!"

Sims 2 has played Clinical Trial, it all went by the exact same beats
#Clinical Trial#Angel Martinez#Lee Smith#The Sims 2#WPVG#WPTS2#Okay so it wasn't Exact-exact but some of that was due to a global mod I have since removed#I had the No Instant Love mod installed because even for how cartoony TS2 is - and I love it for that! - Sims do fall in love Hella fast#Problem being that my version of the mod is glitched :P It does slow the rate of one Sim's relationship - as intended!#The other? Refuses to see them as anything more than a friend - ever#Oops aroace mod lol#Would be ideal if I could Control which Sims that effect was applied to! Alas - you'll never guess - it hit Lee#So Angel fell in love with him and he was stuck at ''Just Friends'' - even when I put his relationship to max with them#Like - Angel's LTR and STR were both lower than Lee's of them and /they/ were the only one in love of the two! Mod borken#So I removed it and the cartooniness is back lol - it did give me the opportunity to screengrab Lee falling in love all at once haha#Also have I mentioned that one Sims 2 piece of homie's and how it's wrong lol#The Sims 2's Family Aspiration is the one that pops engagement and marriage as green Wants most reliably#But the Romance Aspiration - which in equal parts will pop those as red Fears - was the asset shown#Fake fan points and laughs#Lol#Obvi I made Lee a Family Sim! Actually a Knowledge Sim with a Family secondary - specifically pointed at Angel haha#And I think I made Angel a Popularity Sim with a Family secondary? I changed its orientation#There's no longer a door directly to the master bathroom you have to go through the bedroom#Did include the murder basement tho :) Not as a basement tho sadly :( Sims 2 is bad with basements#Even using The Trick I couldn't get it to work with the garage as part of the main building so I was just like Fine#First story murder ''basement'' lol - and the stalker closet isn't behind a bookshelf But it is locked to Lee only#So it's fine! Thinking about how if Shermy Pines. And like, if he is the baby, he’d be born in the 1970s and be 40 by 2012 and he’s already a grandad. He had to be a teen dad in the 80s (after a severe economic recession) and then his kid ended up being a teen parent by 1999 (Which is 8 years before ANOTHER SEVERE ECONOMIC RECESSION LOL)
Also he was born into a pretty broken family, probably rarely if ever saw his brothers. Do you think he ever saw Stanley before he had to start pretending to be Ford? Do you think Ford visited from college??? Because he didn’t seem confident facing his father until he made millions, so like???
And, like, do you think Filbrick and Caryn changed as parents by the time they raised Shermy? Because it seems like a trend that as parents get older they mellow out a bit, so Shermy probably has a completely different experience with their parents then Stan and Ford, and talking to them is just “is this seriously the same parents???” (Imagine the silent resentment that’d cause 😭😭😭)
Personally I headcannon that Shermy had a daughter (Mabel and Dipper’s mom) and not a son like it says on the wiki because c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. Idk why this is important to me but… c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. It just feels right to me.

bell’s hells: posters on a queer housing page in toronto pack 6-11 people (depending on the day) into a two bedroom; ping-pong between icily polite spy warfare and cloying codependence, all while ostensibly working together to save a critically endangered species of salamander—end up involved in years old industrial drama opposing their friend’s shady mining corporation mom.

idk why when or how my dad became weirdly anti-vax & but im glad he wasnt in charge of my medical appointments as a kid bc what if i died of a preventable disease
i hate being sick. Why would i not want vaccines, the thing that drastically decreases my chances of getting sick & also gives me the best chance of recovery if i Do get sick? im not "brainwashed" i have a basic understanding of how vaccines work & i believe in science. its the same philosophy of letting your kid play with other sick kids to make them stronger except Safe bc no ones actually getting sick
like my arm is sore rn. this is the worst side effect ive yet to experience from a vaccination. the alternative is getting meningitis, which sounds like some sort of punishment for being alive. any kind of infection near your Brain & Spinal Cord sounds pretty serious so yknow. Dont Want That. a quick little shot to prevent pain, misery, & tons of medical debt. id rather be "brainwashed" than stuck in a hospital bed wishing there was some way to prevent it
#never going outside doesnt guarantee i wont get sick either. even if i lived in isolation i wouldnt have a 0% chance of ever catching smth#plus some ppl already have to do that BECAUSE they cant get vaccinated bc their immune systems are trash!!!#by getting vaccinated im not only keeping myself safe but reducing the risk for ppl more susceptible to infections#like what if one day i became severely immunocompromised. would my dad get shots so he could be in the same room as me without killing me?#or would he keep brushing it all off & saying its fake? refuse to come visit me? skip the shots & put me in danger?#if only he wasnt stupid 💔#torch chatter#ramble

even though i have quite the girly Exterior i have a spartan/austere way of life
#this was my mom too#my brother & dad are more on the metrosexual side of things#i don't understand decoration i'm too practical i don't care about skincare my own comfort & health is the last thing i give a fuck about#but i love to coordinate an Outfit ( which includes doing my own manicures )#basically i'm something of a practical hoarder* with a fashion sense & love for that kind of thing#*see i think everything has a use or will have one eventually but honestly i don't have too much bullshit around#the less furniture the better ETC in fact our living room is completely furnitureless#i'm actually against minimalism because it's fake as fuck#& i'm not organized at all in fact i'm the messiest person i know & that is really not a self deprecative exaggeration i'm dead serious#i'm very “type B” i'm not really ashamed of it at all#i'm like a less competent more compliant version of my mom#you'd have to see it to believe it#wait now that i wrote this all out this seems like such average femsoc mindset & yet#the only person i know that's like this is my mom#like a lot of what this is stems from not having enough money i'm frugal i don't have that consoomption drive#in my mind it's emasculating to choose comfort/luxury over endurance/perseverance#& i know that's not the right way to think but it is what i think ( for myself )#like... it's NBD...#that's why i'm always walking everywhere even if i faint on the way i'd rather do that than pay a taxi or bus#if i can still feasibly make it on foot#& i refuse medicine because i think i'm above that kind of thing... i don't need help like that

Ok so I fixed a pair of patchwork hippie pants that ripped at one of the seams way too early imo. Just did a ladder stitch… I’m gonna darn it later for extra stability because it kind of is in the crotch area, which rubs. I have my gray cargo pants with a complete crotch blowout which is harder to fix so I’m researching how to do that.
Also, cottage cheese/yogurt/sour cream containers are the BEST ADHD storage tool ever. Just wash out your plastic after you eat the food and put whatever you want in it. Label it. Make a system.
