Lokius Week 2025 - Day 3: Prayers

"And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in agony he prayed more earnestly."

Post-season 2, Mobius searchs for his will to continue living and he finds it in Loki and his sacrifice. He feels a little foolish, but he prays. A lonely god at the end of time cries as he listens.

This started as these concepts, I wanted to do something with a stained glass motif (like the ones we see in the TVA) but i felt like IT NEEDED MORE.

Started another one, taking the pose from the stained glass as reference, but it wasn't enough either >_<

I wanted more feeling, so you could feel Mobius' sorrow... the agony...

So finally, I based it in Agony in the Garden (1898) by Frans Schwartz :)

I'm still not completely happy with how I draw Thad but I'm getting there slowly, incredibly slowly. Same with Kon, he's not there yet but he's much closer. and I swear that isn't the usual outfit I draw him in, I swear I can do better ToT

Mindless rambles about my struggles with designs aside I've been trying to post more, mainly to get me back in the habit of drawing, but I am working on a larger, not large, but larger project that may or may not have to do with a Young Justice 98 and FNAF mash up and one of the characters is absolutely fucking me over. So I'm just doing easy drawings until my brain agrees with my arms enough to actually draw what I want to draw. I don't think these drawings are things I'll put on the Internet because they are just random drawings, but I'll probably share them to the YJ98 discord server. but I personally think this is a fun AU I am currently making and it will be forced on the world soon, kicking and screaming.

all jokes aside tho, whether rhys + tamlin act gay af around one another or not, their friendship + the whole timeline w tamlin being born, amarantha taking interest in him as a child, rhys being only 20 at the time and fighting in the war, becoming closer at court events despite disapproval from cass/az/rhys' family/tam's family, the parallels of tamlin's brothers being terrible and rhys being half illyrian + making them both targets, all the way through both their families being murdered + turning high lord standing right across from each other...literally the insanest + most interesting shit ive ever heard. so unsettling in the miniscule details. so tragic as a larger picture. so monumental for the way all acotar events are set off.

HELLO !! how strong of an idea do you have of any given piece before you start painting? and do you do sketches first or just go right to it?

I usually have a pretty good idea of what I wanna do before I draw! Very rarely will I do a sketch and most of the time I just jump right in since I find that planning art out outside of just having the idea in my head makes me not wanna work on it. I will do very basic concept sketches just to get the composition down so I don’t forget it, but they’re pretty indecipherable to anyone but me

I try not to hold myself down too much to sketches if I do end up doing any, I find that I enjoy my work a lot more if I just kinda go with it and let the piece change while working on it while keeping the base concept in mind
