as a man who has not only never read or interacted with the dc universe and has only had their partner ramble jason todd lore to them like. once or twice.i should not have the idea of a percy jackson/justice league crossover stuck in my head this hard.

trying to imagine the cabin counselors sitting in on meetings and absolutely causing havoc. falling over in their chairs, giving wonderful ideas like "kill that loser! throw a hairbrush at em!" about literally EVERY villain and trying to organize a capture the flag game with the JL vs CHB and/or CJ is hilarious to me

i would also love a jason todd/grace meet up. because the sillies.

One of my favorite things to do after finishing a DnD campaign is draw the squad. There were a few more campaigns/one-shots that happened before these, but these are from Theros (where we all ascended to godhood), the Witchlight (where I played an 8-year-old wizard catboy, who "drew this picture"), and a homebrewed Ocarina of Time campaign (where the group ended up forming a band).

most of my aus i don’t post, because they tend not to get a ton of attention and i usually run out of steam before i flesh it out enough for a bunch of content (like i’ve been doing with the batfam). I made a wing au for the dsmp years ago, but that was back when my art sucked and i didn’t know how to compose an illustration to save my life. I think the most recent au i’ve actually posted was a knives out au for the dream smp, but don’t look at it cause it was also years ago and the artwork i made for it was NOT good.

#btw i’ve had a couple people ask about how i learned wing anatomy #and i might make a post for that by itself but for now i can sneak it into the tags here #it’s honestly just a ton of practice #i got lucky in the sense that most of the hermitcraft fandom has collectively agreed grian has parrot wings #so whenever i draw him a get a little bit of practice with that #and i used to draw him A LOT #other than that i just find a shit ton of references #sometimes i’ll get lucky and find a reference of the species of bird’s wing in the exact position i want to draw it in #other times i’ll have to rely on my instinct for it that i built through - guess what - practice #nowadays i can probably freehand a believable wing without a reference for it #but it wouldn’t be a part of any particular species since proportions vary so greatly in wings #i just know how the joints move and how the muscles contract and how the feathers lay on top of it all #and generally what types of feathers go where on the wing #asks #wing au #not gonna tag it with the regular batfam tag cause i feel like it’s not relevant enough #oh yeah lastly i considered very briefly doing a danny phantom wing au #i don’t have the time to flesh one out right now but if you wanna talk in dms i have a few ideas for it already

Silly unfinished sketch of what I think the Mallard (the steam train that holds the world speed record for steam locomotives) would look like in starlight express

This is the LNER Class A4 4468 Mallard

#stex #starlight express #starlight express oc #would she be an oc? probably #anyways I’m gonna blather on abt her design here #so the A4s (the type of steam train that the mallard is) was made in the late 1930s #and they have their distinctive streamlined appearance due to the influence of the art deco movement #specifically the streamline moderne part of the art deco movement. so the A4s are essentially your regular steam trains but with a #sort of covering over it #and so I represented this here by giving her a beautiful sleek 1930s style coat over the more typical stex steam train clothes #I also wanted to make her overall design very streamlined in the general shapes such as the ends of her coat and the lining of her coat and #her hair. which is admittedly finished #unfinished*#I imagine her underclothes (like her trousers etc) being silver and her coat being blue and black #specifically her coat would be largely blue with black trimmings and black lining #and also her elbow pads would be black #I think she’s sort of like. an old starlet but racer #she’s happily retired in a museum and is also very proud of herself and her racing history #I might delete this later. or I might finish the drawing or redo her in a less small sketch way and then post that #idk. but she’s finished for now and I just wanted to post her #I loooove the mallard I’m basic but the A4s are soooooo beautiful #my art
