When did you start writing?

sometime around ages 8 or 9. I wrote free verse poetry and snatches of fanciful journal entries, like they were found footage or something. I wrote in a fake alphabet a lot of the time, too. I've kept almost all of my old journals and so can see how my journal writing changed greatly over the years, as sporadic as it was.

I started writing my first bits of fiction around age 13, and my first fantasy novel attempt at age 14 after my mom got my a novel writing curriculum to follow. it was a disaster. I cannot write along to a formula or outline, if I can manage to write one to begin with. it completely destroys my ability to create an actual story. the only time a prompt gets me to write anything is when I've come at it from the aether and it's fully spontaneous and I'm not thinking about it too hard. that trend continues to this day and appears to just be an irreversible quirk of my adhd.

Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?

I don't mind a romantic subplot in my stories, whereas I almost never include them. exploring them through characters I've gotten to know vs exploring them through characters that I have to create makes a big difference, apparently. I can root for a foreshadowed romance to complete and enjoy the catharsis of that, but going through the process by myself is way harder. which is why I keep not writing or even really thinking about A Moon's Reflection.

I love a villainous character who is really complex and full of intricate details that I get to know about and find interesting in the media I enjoy. two of my all-time favorite characters are comics Thanos and Klaus Mikaelson (from The Originals esp.) because of how deliciously emotionally complex they are in addition to being truly horrible people. I have less fun actually writing these types of characters because I'm just a really nice person so it's not really a good time writing about vile characters. oddly enough, I'm pretty good at it, when I do get around to writing them. so there's that, at least.

sci-fi is something I don't really enjoy writing when it's not science fantasy, but I can definitely enjoy sci-fi pieces of media. I also love murder mystery shows (especially british ones) but I really don't like writing a straight up mystery.

in past years, contemporary fiction was something I enjoyed only in media and didn't include in my writing, but now it shows up way more. it's usually a bit surreal, though.

Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?

I can't think of a time I was compared to anybody in specific, and there's nobody I want to emulate. there are writers I adore that I'd like to be vaguely in the same category of. we can hang out on the same bookshelf, maybe. but I've long been developing my own style independent of any one author regardless of how I regard them. it's more that I'd like to have an easily understood world like Tamora Pierce, or simultaneously tragic but humorous plotlines like Kristen Cashore, or some of the pointed whimsy of Diana Wynn Jones, or bold interweaving of previously known concepts like James A. Owen, but I don't want to do all of these things all the time, just where I can, and within my own style.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

there's no such thing. I mean, if I'm writing on my laptop, it's probably like I am right now, on my bed with Shy Guy behind my head and my phone next to me and my keyboard lighting up with a rainbow. but I can write anywhere as long as my brain allows it, so my writing space is wherever I am writing, really.

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

bribery. I am more likely to create where there is a reward involved, be it Maybe Sorcery willing to read it, or my mom will make me brownies, or somebody is going to draw me an owl, or whatever. my motivation has always had an external locus for everything that isn't my literally job that I'm being paid to do.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

none of the themes surprise me, because they're the themes that I wanted to put in there. I write for me first, because I wanted to read a thing, and I'm the one who thought of the thing, so there.

coming home, and how it's never what you think it'll be

love isn't about what you deserve

second chances

ownership of choices, and maybe of choices that weren't yours

escaping the past/punching it in the face

trauma, its resolution, or not

kindness is an option

self-worth

haunting the narrative vs the narrative haunting you

metaphor as a crutch, metaphor as meaning, metaphor as metaphor

among others that I can't think of right now.

What is your reason for writing?

these stories would exist in my head anyway, so I might as well write them down. and it's fun to write them down, so really might as well.

Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?

I love it when people notice how my style influences how they perceive the characters/world. my penchant for purposeful repetition and extended metaphor, or using. physical behaviors to enunciate emotional states. the words I use are chosen for how to shape the story, and I like it when people notice that.

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

not much at all, really. think about the story and its players and leave me out of it. kind of. I'm a facilitator of an experience, and I just want you to be immersed in it. I'm less important. if that makes sense. I'm losing track of my thoughts.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

I really only have to dunk the cookie once to dissolve it completely.

I'm really good at capturing a vibe or a mood in just a few words, and at establishing a character in much the same way. I can plunge you into the place and then you're just there. I can hand you some people and they're real, after just knowing them for a minute.

and I know I'm good at this because people have told me so, and also if you read my early stuff from half my life ago, I absolutely sucked at these things. my characters had no personality and there was not a single vibe to be found. practice really does make practiced, babes!

How do you feel about your own writing?

I like it.

I like the old stuff that's really pretty bad, and I like the middle stuff that is definitely improved but not so great, and I like the recent stuff that is much better but could be better still.

I like to come back to something after a while and make it better than it was. I like writing something that's just okay as it is. I like doing it well, and I don't mind doing it badly, and I just like it overall.

writing is fun. and it's more satisfying to do it well, but it's still a good time to do it. and it's all mine, I love it for that. this stuff that's mine. I created these stories. I created these vibes after all this while. I created these people to have feelings about. I created these worlds that I can play around in.

it's fun, and I like it.

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?

everything is written with me in mind, first and foremost, but if it's fanfiction and I know this fandom and what they like, I'm gonna sneak in the stuff they like, and if it's my own original stuff but I know my besties are gonna be reading it, then I angle it a bit towards what I know they love to read from me. I'm happy to create something I know others might enjoy, especially the inner circle (which is a pretty big inner circle, actually, because I just like making friends). but I write because, as previously established, it's just a good time for me, so I write for the me that's going to read it later and enjoy the reading as much as the writing.

this is the most I've literally written down on the subject of writing in such a long time. it's good to know I can still do it. at the very least I don't have to worry about my typing skills degrading. that's something.

And so we reach one of my favorite chapters of TLE2. I have a lot to say about this one. Click through at your peril lol.

For the record, I love baby Lily. I’d die for baby Lily. I want to write a prequel to my prequel that is just baby Lily’s diary entries as she discovers magic and boys. (I’m not doing this. But…….I wanna. But I’m not. I’m NOT.)

I’m realizing (likely not for the first time, but that brain fog be foggin’) how much of writing this fic has just been me working through how I feel about certain topics. In this case, forgiveness. It’s interesting (to me), because I still struggle greatly with this issue, and reading Mr. Evans’ advice to Lily (that I had forgotten) is sort of like getting advice from my past self. It’s weird. Nice, but weird.

Especially weird since I’m not that religious but ok past CH I guess we all ARE flawed creatures worthy of grace. If u say so.

I have no idea if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I love angry, angsty teen Lily. Like, I know it’s kind of a bummer that she’s lashing out at her dad especially since his clock is ticking, but I love that she GETS to. She’s a teenage girl! Her life is unbelievably hard! She deserves to be bitchy about Mrs. Colfield and her biscuits!!!!

Fun fact, this is among the oldest scenes in TLE. I had some version of this written for aaaaaages. In one VERY early draft, this happened over the summer before sixth year, and James showed up to apologize for the lake incident (and they also went to a funfair, that’s how old this is, LOL). But I very quickly realized that I couldn’t put it over the summer, because I needed to stretch out the tension. And so it got moved to Christmas, and I’m so glad it did, because I love all the extra layers and emotion that are wrapped up in this chapter. Originally, I just wanted James to be impressed as he watched Lily climb down a trellis, but now it gets to be wrapped up in all sorts of juicy flavors like grief and shame and forgiveness. Yum yum what a meal for me.

I don’t have a comment, I just love this image of them on the roundabout (merry go round?? Roundabout?? Which one is it? Britishisms confound me once again). It warms my heart. If I could draw, I would do a fanart of this moment because I can visualize it perfectly ugh.

What do you MEAN they don’t get together until TLE3???? Ugh who is writing this anyway

“Look, I can’t do this.” Frankie’s breath is shaky, his voice low, that tone that makes you know he’s about to have something to apologize for. “We can’t do this.”

The words cut through you like a knife, stopping you in your tracks. “What do you mean?” The question comes out more desperate than it should, but you can't bring yourself to be angry. Not now, not yet, not when the only thing you want to do is beg and plead with him to stay, not when the only thing you’re thinking is that this can’t possibly be real, there’s no way this is happening to you right now.

“I’m sorry.” He anticipates your move towards him, taking a step back before you can latch onto his hand with your own.

He’s killed so many people, done things that keep him awake every night, things that have fucked him up forever. But the hurt on your face right now might be the worst thing he’s ever seen.

“I’m sorry.” He says again, another step away from you, towards the bed of his truck. Ignoring your pleas, your begging for him to stay, to explain himself, to make this work. Your shouting, because how could he do this, why would he do this, how dare he fucking do this- he ignores it all.

So that was the last time you ever saw Francisco Morales, pulling out of your driveway with the pieces of your broken heart in his hands.

The first time in five months you see Frankie, he’s grinding on a girl across the bar from you.

Vibrant lights and disco music illuminate the dance floor, the rest of the world fading out around you as you catch sight of him. Maybe it’s the atmosphere, maybe it’s the fact that it’s almost midnight, maybe it’s the alcohol- but your whole world hones in on him, right then and there.

Dancing with her. The way he used to dance with you.

You feel like you’re going to be sick. Stumbling out the back door into the alleyway, huddling over a trash can and trying really hard not to throw up.

It shouldn’t bother you anymore. Five months and you haven’t heard a single word from him, not even a fucking text, but of course he still had to show up at your favorite club.

He knows it’s your favorite club. Maybe it's his new girl’s favorite, too, but that would really just rub salt in the wound, wouldn’t it?

Typical Frankie.

Your fingers dig into the edge of the trash can as you draw in sharp, ragged breaths. Your whole body hurts, your heart pounding so fast you think it might actually come out of your chest. Maybe that would be a good thing- maybe that would fix this stupid feeling of disgust and grief and regret and some twisted desire to have him again.

You hate him.

But if you have to go back in there and see him again, you’re not sure who you’ll hate more- him for doing it, or yourself for how it makes you feel.

She’s not really his girlfriend.

You don’t know that, of course. You don’t need to- why would you? You’re not exactly speaking anymore. You haven’t been since he broke up with you. He needed to, to keep you safe, but you didn’t understand that. He reckons you still don’t- that’s why you ran away at the sight of him.

Well, that, and the girl who is now clinging to his shoulder and trying to get him to stay. But the moment he watched you slip out the back door he had this urge to follow you. An itch he couldn’t ignore, couldn’t scratch, except with you.

"I'll be right back. Just stay here." He says casually, gently pushing her off of him so he can make his way through the crowds of people and towards the door you left out of.

He knew it was a mistake, coming here. But she insisted on it, and like an idiot, he couldn't refuse. He's not sure why he keeps indulging her, why he keeps having her over to his place and fucking her senseless, why he's latched onto this girl instead of moving on like he does with all the other one night stands he takes.

Maybe it's because she smells like you.

When he reaches the door, he pauses for a second, wondering if he should follow you. If it wouldn't be better to just leave you alone, maybe even leave the place altogether and never come back. If you'd even want him there at all.

Probably not.

You step away from the trash can as the door swings open, trying not to seem as pathetic as you're sure you look to whatever stranger has come out here to smoke. You know you look awful- dry heaving, red eyes, tear stains all over your face.

But it isn't a stranger that walks through that door.

It's him.

Francisco fucking Morales, the guy who dumped you in two minutes in your goddamn driveway and broke your stupid heart.

The guy you came out here specifically to avoid.

Did he follow you? Jesus, you’re gonna give him a piece of your mind-

His brows furrow in concern as he takes a step toward you. The nerve, to walk in your direction after he's the one who walked away, the absolute fucking audacity to act like he gives two shits about your well-being-

“Shit, baby, you okay?”

Baby.

You slap him.

For a moment, neither of you move, both frozen in shock over what just happened.

You've never hit him. You've never hit anyone. And you certainly weren't expecting that to actually work, given the former profession of the man standing in front of you, raising a hand to the red spot on his cheek.

You hope it stings.

You kind of want to kiss it better.

His concern melts into anger as he looks at you. “What the fuck was that for?”

You’re so mad you have to laugh. “What the fuck do you think?”

He sighs, clenching his jaw. “Look, I’m sorry, alright?”

“Oh, you’re sorry? Is that it?” You take a step back, shaking your head. “I’m supposed to just take you back after a fucking sorry?”

“No, you’re not supposed to just take me back. I just wanted to apologize.” He says in frustration.

You can't believe this, you can't fucking believe this. He's been leaving you alone all this time, but now he's all over you like it all never happened, like suddenly your feelings do matter. “For what, huh?” You shoot back. “Do you even know what you did wrong?”

“Everything!” He snaps. “I did everything wrong.” He runs a hand over his face, taking a deep breath.

You don't say anything. For a moment you don't even move, too shocked by the admission- but it's not enough. Not for all the hurt he caused you, not for five months of pain and hurt and the never-ending question of why.

Even though you don't say anything, he must see it in your face, knowing you so deeply even now. He takes a step forward, his voice lowering, a tone you used to listen to. “Baby, please, listen to me-”

“Don't fucking call me that!" You try to slap him again, but this time he does grab your wrist, looking at you unimpressed as you roughly tug your hand away.

"Are you done?" You didn't think he could piss you off any more. That tone used to turn you on. You hate him, you want to beat his pretty face fucking senseless, you can't bring yourself to move again.

“God, Frankie. I- you-" You step back, beginning to pace back and forth across the alleyway. He remains still, unmoving, watching your futile attempts to get out this energy without using him to do it. "You can't just walk out here, trying to come back into my life, acting like you care about me-”

"I do care about you!" He interrupts, taking a step towards you.

"Don't bullshit me." You don't even look at him, you can't, because if you look at him you might stop, and you have to keep being angry.

"I'm not bullshitting you-"

“Don't fucking bullshit me, Frankie!” You're certain half the bar could hear the way you're shouting at him right now, but you don't care. "You dumped me, you broke my heart, and I don't want you back, you asshole, so just leave me alone and go torment some other poor soul stupid enough to buy into your nonsense-"

You're choking on your own sobs when he reaches out and grabs you, his hand wrapped around your arm, his expression serious.

“Would you just shut up and kiss me?" His curls are damp with sweat, deep brown eyes staring into yours as if they might be able to hypnotize you.

Your lips curl into a sneer, grabbing his arm and pulling it off of yours. "I'm not gonna kiss you, you sick motherfucker-"

And then he’s whining your name in that little pleading tone of his, and suddenly you are kissing him, lips crashing onto his like he’s the only thing in the world that matters. He tastes like shitty bourbon and salty tears and someone else’s chapstick and it’s only when the last taste hits your tongue that you can find it in yourself to pull away. Tears well up in your eyes when you look at him, and you both know the kiss didn’t feel the same as it did before. That vibrant feeling wasn’t coming back, and it never would be.

“I’m sorry.” He murmurs. “But we can’t keep doing this.”

You think for a second that maybe this is all some sort of dream. A sick, twisted nightmare, because there’s really no fucking way he would do this to you twice.

But he does.

There’s no begging this time. No shouting, no pleading. Just resigned defeat as you watch him walk away. Through the alley, around the corner, the sound of a truck starting up in the distance.

You’re crying. Strangely enough, though, you don’t feel anything at all. Maybe he’s right, maybe this really is destined not to work.

Or maybe, maybe, he’s just too much of a coward to enter a fight he can’t win with a loaded gun.

You've literally inspired me to wanna make my own OC mockumentaries I absolutely love your series so much 😭🙏🏻

So I wanna ask if it's alright with you, where do you get inspo for silly moments? How did you start? What are the little tidbits you've come to learn after making a few joja mockumentaries?

Awww thank you so much!! If you do end up making your own series, I hope you have a lot of fun with it, and I'd love to see it!!

(Sorry this post is late, I wanted to take my time with the answer below the cut!)

As for the "origin story" of the jojamart mockumentary and how i come up with ideas for the entries:

As for how the series started, the first time I watched The Office was on a really long flight this past October where the in-flight entertainment had all of season 3. After seeing it, it clicked why so many people loved it haha. So while riding out the rest of the flight (and for a few week after that) I thought about what it might look like if Stardew were to be adapted for television in a mockumentary-style format. (mainly just as a fun creative exercise.)

My first idea was to portray Lewis as producing an in-universe documentary to highlight Pelican Town as a whole, with the corrupting influence of Joja growing as time went on (No. 9 is probably the closest to the original vibe but I still wanted it to be a comedy). Morris, Sam, and Shane were going to be the main characters of the JojaMart plot. But I realized that the JojaMart plot thread was the closest thing to why I enjoyed The Office (being about conflicting personalities generating absurdity in a confined space). Plus Sam is my favorite character. So that's what I ended up drawing out.

I wanted the entries to look like subtitled screencaps of out-of-context clips, mainly because I see them everywhere on the internet and they're also very easy to draw:

I liked how these kinds of posts can still be enjoyed by people who have never seen The Office before (like me before October 2024) because the humor is very self-contained. So I started off making the JojaMart entries like that.

The first few were intended to still be accessible to people who had never played Stardew Valley before, sorta like they were watching a pilot episode. Those entries had to establish the basics (Sam is the cheerful, outgoing, and annoying janitor; Shane is the grumpy alcoholic shelf stocker, Morris is their boss who cares about them in a purely performative sense, etc.).

I think the general rule of thumb I follow when portraying a particular character is to write them like I have two people in my audience: one has never played Stardew before, and the other is the character's biggest fan. I don't know how well I've followed this, but it's what I have in mind when I'm writing up scripts.

Usually for inspiration I like to comb through the characters' wiki pages. I think it's useful to look at their quotes, their liked/disliked gifts, and their trivia to find little things that can be extended into a little story. For example, no. 17 was inspired by the fact that Jodi gives the player the ice cream recipe and says that it won first place in a cooking competition, and no. 18 (which followed up on 17) was inspired by a quote by Sam wondering if his mother was really happy with her life. I think it's really fun to try and combine different facts about the characters!

Some other sources of inspiration I have are:

Wanting to use a particular line of dialogue (e.g., "He kinda has this vibe that really screams 'divorced'" in no. 11)

Wanting to use a particular shot (e.g., Pierre being covered up with ads in no. 9)

Wanting to show a specific headcanon (e.g., Sam doing impressions in no. 5)

Donnie and April dressed as Hades and Persephone (from the musical Hadestown)!

One of the Discord servers I'm in was holding a cosplay contest (results are not yet in, as of the time I'm writing this) and this was my entry! I had a lot of possible ideas for the prompt, but ultimately, this is the one I felt I had to go with - I just find it interesting how many fundamental similarities there are between the two dynamics, as well some key design elements. Plus, I'll take just about any excuse to draw a dapper Donnie. So that was a bonus, lol.

I had a lot of fun working on this, although I barely made it in before the deadline, haha! It was nice to stretch my rendering skills a bit since I've been doing mostly sketches and loose concept art lately.

Some interesting things I realized during the process:

April's design is basically a modern, sporty version of Hadestown's Persephone - same basic color scheme, similar style, and she even has a black choker!

Donnie's little rectangle-shaped purple spots translate perfectly to Hades' brick wall arm tattoo. This ended up being probably my favorite detail of the entire piece.

April ROCKS those ankle-cut boots.

I hate drawing shoes and should never have picked a walking pose, but we live and learn.

So another Six Character Challenge completed!

This time it was Nintendo themed, and thanks to my friends on Twitter, before the site further lost its mind -- I was able to draw six characters popular, somewhat known, and as obscure as can be.

Micaiah - Fire Emblem

Didn't get far into Radiant Dawn because I had a bugged copy and had to return it for something else. Though I always liked her design!

Anyway, the spell was originally supposed to take up the majority of the picture, with two rings of light engulfing the bottom screen. I removed it because it was too distracting. You can barely make out Nevessa as it is.

Bill Grey - StarFox

Fun Fact: Bill is my favorite Starfox character. I just like how he's the commander of two Cornerian squadrons, but goes into Bro Mode whenever Fox shows up.

Despite being in multiple games, Bill barely had any good references. So this design is a composite of all of them. Even added some grey in the tips of his ears.

Also, I actually did draw his legs, but his cockpit just seemed too empty for something so compact. So I added the console.

Ibis - Pilotwings

"Alright!" I would have never thought of anyone suggesting Pilotwings art in 2025. Sucks that Nintendo only used the PW64 cast for one game. They gave that entry a lot of charm by design alone!

I could count all official art references for Ibis on one hand. So I made up for it by studying whatever fan art there was, and captured photos while playing Pliotwings 64 on NSO.

I've also updated her design slightly since PW64 characters have some of the most N64 designs to ever N64. (That's not a bad thing, but an update is due.)

Meta-Ridley - Metroid

Ridley, or Meta-Ridley as portrayed here, perched on a collection of his..."work". To us, this is murder. But to the Cunning God of Death, there's much more work to be done.

While "Ridley" was one of the suggestions, the version preferred was never specified. So I went by my favorite. Anyway, Ridley is a sadistic bastard. So much, that if you look closely at his cheek, you can see a minute smile curling along it.

Also that's Tallon IV in the background.

Kumatora - Mother/Earthbound

She's currently taking a break after feeding that Pigmask Colonel a PK Fire-Roasted, Five-Knuckle, All You Can Eat, Buffet! And the other Pigmasks want none of it. Haha! As if they have a choice...

I haven't finished Mother 3. But I'm willing to believe that Kumatora uses PK attacks like everyone else. But for context in this art piece, I really love this old fan idea for a Smash moveset, where she'd uses it to power up her fists and punch enemies with it.

Also, angel gloves.

Captain Falcon - F-Zero

I finish my final lap with an art piece of the man, the myth, the legend, the guy that people FINALLY give a shit about outside of Smash Bros... Captain Falcon!

Graphic Design

First and foremost: graphic design, which is my career irl! I graduated last December with an associate's degree in graphic design and am currently in the process of getting my first entry-level position. I chose to pursue graphic design bc it's a fine mix between art and computers (which I love both very much)! The logo work on the right was done for a real company (it almost got selected as their final concept too!)

2. Fine Art

I'm an artist! I've been making art since I was 10 (so a long time now) and I love drawing and painting. These two art pieces were created by me some years ago and out of all my pieces I'm proudest of these two

3. Mushroom-core and Strawberry-core

Ok, I'm a sucker for mushrooms, strawberries, and also flower/forest aesthetics. They just tickle my brain in such a fun and whimsical way. If you're wondering if I like eating mushrooms and strawberries: yes, yes I do 😋 (Though neither are my favorite foods; I primarily like them for their looks and biology loool)

4. Thunderstorms and tornadoes

I'm a weather nerd and I have had a nearly lifelong fascination with tornadoes. I consider it one of my random neurodivergent interests, lol. I'd say I know more about weather and tornadoes than the average person and if I wouldn't have pursued graphic design I think I would have become a meteorologist. I know a lot about famous tornado events, so I'd be able to tell you about it if I know about it! One of the things I really want to do in my life is see a tornado

5. Cats

I am a HUGE cat lover! They are my favorite animals! I have tons of cat-themed clothes and merchandise. Above is a picture of my very own cat, Lacey 💖 She is 6 years old and we've been besties ever since she was a tiny 7-week-old kitten! Her favorite things to do are sleeping on my heater, running around my room when she has the zoomies, and eating chicken puree treats (I call them "licky treats" since she licks them lol)

Uhhhhh I was thinking about MH, and I’m always thinking about twst, so ofc that means I’m thinking about this AU again. I miss it so much… shout out to @maythearo for creating the AU! I hope you like my entry! I love these two so much and the idea of childhood friends Ace/Vil/Shrouds was too good to get out of my head so I just decided to, fuck it, I’ll make my own. Not entirely sure how much I’m in love with their designs, there’s definitely more I could’ve added, but eh, oh well. These are more just so that I can comfortably Put Them In Situations lol

And I am only just now realizing that I totally meant to design them their own scythes (even if they technically wouldn’t be scythes yet bc they’re both too young to have that, I believe the lore is) so um. Whoops

Y’know, creating a mood board is the worst part of the process in art class for me, but it was actually a lot of fun to do here! Probably because I don’t have specifications like “10 drawings and 10 photos” and I can just add what I want lol.

I gave Adesius more pink in her design because one) it breaks up the blue and black and two) I think that pink is actually her favorite color. My source? Fairy Gala. She realized that she loved pink, looking pretty and that she was a girl all from one event. Good for her, good for her. I gave her Hypnos inspiration because Thanatos and Hypnos are twins and both underworld gods and yeah. I also very much appreciate Digimon for having the boldness to go “Oh Cerberus Digimon? How do we do it’s 3 heads? Oh I know! Shoulder pads” Truly an inspiration in character design. Also Digimon 🤝 techwear = belts. I do wonder if I should’ve tried to find some steampunk inspirations for her too, but eh oh well. Though admittedly, I don’t think that the techwear style came through all that well either…

As for Agetes, again, Thanatos inspiration because god of death and he has a twin, and techwear inspiration because tech, but I also tried to pull from his phantom form too. I really wanted to try to combine those cool pants you see in the references with the skull pattern from the phantom, but alas, ‘twas not meant to be. I did play with giving him those claw ringlets that Crowley has, but only on the doodle page. I do really like the idea, because it again pulls reference from the phantom form. Agetes’ headphones also take a lot of inspired from his phantom form, with the crown like bottle cap and the columns on his arms being moved up to the headphones as well. I was wondering whether his wings should be fake or not, but I decided that they should be real. They’re too small to actually fly with so either they magically grow or they’re just for decoration and he can fly without them. I mean, he doesn’t need them to float, right?

I feel like I could’ve done better with both their footwear, but oh well.

I just had to put both of them in, I love them both so much. It’s almost weird, in my brain you can have Ad without Ag, but you can’t have Ag without Ad, that’s when they’re a package deal. Silly twins not twins but yes twins.

I have, like, so much more to say about them I feel, but my brain is blanking for the most part and I feel this is getting too long so yeah. Once again, if the creator of this AU sees e, I hope you like it! Feel free to add your own spin on my versions of these two if you want, or feel free to ignore them. I don’t mind either way. I just needed to get this out of my system lol

Year 4 of submitting art for the SiIvaGunner Art Gallery!! >:]

For the fourth time now, I can proudly present my entry for this years SiIvaGunner Birthday Gallery! I had to put up with a lot of obstacles this year, like starting in June when I normally always started in early May, my parents and my brother visiting during the exact time frame I wanted to work on this, a crippling addiction to playing Dragon Quest Monsters and many more.

But as you can see, I really locked in at the end and finished it exactly one day before the deadline (17th June).

Now to explain my vision for this piece: I'll have to admit, since starting my new job in February, I didn't have any time to keep up with the loads of SiIvaGunner rips that are uploaded each day, since I always listened to them at my old workplace while I took care of my mountains of scientific journals. At my new job, I don't have anything to do with journals anymore. I mostly talk to students at the counter all day. Can't really listen to YouTube videos when someone wants something from you every minute. I also do a lot of things related to facility management in between (our library buildings are practically falling apart in some places...), so even when I'm not at the counter, I have way too much stuff to do to listen to rips. Sigh. Sometimes, I miss my old job.........

But I'll try my best to catch up some time in the future. At the very latest in September. My first vacation days in 7 months... Anyway, let's get back to the image at hand:

In the foreground, there's obviously my beloved dynamic duo of besties: Woodman and Nozomi. Woodman has been missing from the channel for 1 and a half years. Please bring him back. I miss my wife, Tails...

For this piece, my theme was centered around my favorite SiIvaGunner joke from the past few months (or has it been years?): The raft ride. I wanted something fun and summer-y, so I decided to put all the characters I drew in cute little sailor outfits. For Woodman, I just drew him in something simple that I thought of myself, which complimented and incorporated his usual armor.

Next we have Nozomi, who dons her outfit from μ's fifth single "Wonderful Rush". I had a few water themed outfits to chose from with her (and Honoka, for that matter), but I chose Wonderful Rush for Nozomi since it just fit with the aesthetic I was going for.

Next to those two is Coraline from the 3DS street pass game "Ultimate Angler", which is also prominently featured on the channel. For her outfit, I just modified her usual attire a little to fit in with the sailor vibe. I also turned her sun visor around because I could for the life of me not figure out how to draw it properly at this angle. Uhhh... I mean, I turned it around because I thought it looked cool.

I hope you can see that I had an absolute breakthrough in Gimp. I think I already talked about it on my Buck fanart, but I finally discovered layer modes. After 4 years of working with Gimp. Spectacular, I know. If you don't notice it here, you'll definitely notice it on the next image in queue for the robot master quest I have going on. I can already spoil you who it's gonna be this time: Tornadoman! I honestly couldn't believe what I was drawing. I think I was possessed by something for a few hours. It was honestly a little scary. But I think you'll see what I mean once you see the actual image, it's really different from the usual stuff I draw.

Getting back to the topic of this picture, let's talk about the background now. I decided to draw a little ship with lots of familiar faces making up the crew.

The ships captain is Honoka, who is standing on the very left of the deck. I took her outfit from μ's single "Heart to Heart!", which also fit into the aquatic theme quite nicely.

Right next to her, under a rainbow flag that's fluttering in the wind above them, is Aquaman. My beloved. Since I drew him into last years birthday gallery image, I decided to do the same this year. I also put a little starfish on his hat because I think it looked cute ;)

Standing epicly and mysteriously on the top of the boat is Meta Knight. I don't know if you can see it when it's zoomed out so far, but he's holding some kind of folded map in his right hand. Maybe they're looking for treasure??

And on the very right of the ship are Tito Dick and Robbie Rotten, reenacting that one famous scene from the Titanic movie.

After that, we shift our focus to the left of the image, where we can see Fluttershy flying over the island from Tomodachi Life.

Game Changer Season 6 episodes, ranked by my personal enjoyment

Because I also enjoy arbitrarily ranking things! If you disagree... I mean, that's fine? I liked every episode this season, just.. I liked some episodes better than others. I'm grouping the Ratfish episodes together, so we've got eight entries. Spoilers for, um, every game changer episode this season, obviously.

#8 Pencils Down:

I'm not as into drawings and all as I am a lot of the other stuff, though this was probably the most wholesome episode of this season. I'm, naturally, opposed to wholesomeness too.

Favorite bit:

The proposed tattoos were a lot of fun.

#7 Ratfish (parts 1 and 2):

I think this one got hurt for me by a couple things - I know absolutely nothing about the show they're mimicking, unlike Survivor or the Bachelor, and I did not particularly enjoy anything directly to do with the Ratfish or understand why I should care about his opinions and arbitrary decisions. I assumed that the cast would recognize who this person was and we'd get some kind of payoff there, but nope. Everything just between the cast was great, though.

Favorite bit:

Honestly there's a ton of quick moments to choose from here, but I think my favorite is Brennan incorrectly going for the seat marked Brennan Lee Mulligan at the end.

#6 The Newlyweb Game:

This one was gentle good fun, I enjoyed everyone involved, there were just more standout moments in some of the later episodes on this list. This is fighting with Pencils Down for the most wholesome episode, or at least the one that would least fit into a saw trap. In spite of that this would be the episode all time of Game Changer I would least be willing to be on, even in the world where I'm not firmly aroace and have a partner - I think I would sooner light myself on fire than let someone I know have full access to my phone.

Favorite bit:

Revealing how many unread emails people had and the shock and judgement at totally reasonable numbers, as someone with around forty thousand unread emails in my primary gmail account dating back to 2004.

#5 Bingo

We're really into tough competition now! I loved this episode, and that it somehow turned into a tormenting Brennan episode even though he wasn't even supposed to be there. This was obviously slightly rigged so that the players in the third set of Bingo were most likely to win (and it was actually impossible for the people on stage) but honestly pulling it off was so good.

Favorite Bit:

I mean, it's the reveal to Trapp and everyone of the existence of the third group of course.

#4 Second Place

First, I know that for meta reasons this should be second, but it's not. Oh well. Sam alleges that this episode wasn't intentionally meant to torment Brennan; I do not believe Sam's lies. Everyone in the world saw the twist at the end coming and it's still funny.

Favorite bit:

Ally declaring that Brennan can ring the gong the loudest and Brennan's brain breaking harder than anything that Sam had actually planned.

#3 Sam Says 3

I can't believe this one's only third. If this is how Sam Says ends - and I have a hard time seeing how a fourth edition can escalate, even outside of the BTS claiming that they see three times as the limit for the same premise most of the time - then what an ending. I'm not sure any other game concept has managed to make the players so consistently tricked. My only critique of it is that I think I like the first couple times at this well just a little bit more, with nothing in this quite matching Ally flying to New York or the Something We'll Have To Bleep energy for me.

Favorite Bit:

It's hard to top the fake Sam body dropping from the ceiling.

#2 Beat the Buzzer

Every episode with the Seven cast is always incredible, and production-wise this seems like the craziest thing they've ever pulled off. Any episode where they break out of just the stage is always good, and I think this is the most extensive use of that they've ever done. Incredible variety, great cameos from Aabria and Persephone, complete manic energy from all three contestants. A+ episode.

Favorite Bit:

There's so much here, but I think mine as someone who worked as a pizza delivery driver was the entire exchange where Rehka just ends up getting the bag with the buzzer and a bunch of loose oreos. Was production prepared with everything that was on that menu or would they have actually ordered breadsticks somewhere to use as a prop?

#1 Deja Vu

Time loop stuff is always a favorite of mine, and pulling one off as an episode is ALREADY a great premise before you even get into all of the other cast and the editing. (Shout out to Siobhan Thompson for being in exactly two Game Changer episodes and them being this one and Escape the Green Room; guess we know what pepper rating she puts down.) Great chemistry between the cast, a truly deranged display from Sam, and of course the Wenis. Genuinely the WEIRDEST episode of the season, too, always a good sign.

It's a shame they already repeated the premise too much to do a follow up to this one...

Favorite Bit(s):

I'm doing two for this one because it's my list and I can.

"This isn't fucking Um, Actually!" with sincere righteous anger.

Everything to do with Zac as Grant, most of all how easy it would have been to just make that Zac as Zac.

Video Games I've Experienced So Far This Year 1/23/25

Video games are my favorite thing and all I want to do with my life is experience every game I possibly can. I've moved all this video game journaling over to Backloggd but I should update my Tumblr with it periodically as well. I'm talking about games I've watched someone else play as much as games I've played myself. This entry reads like a vent post but that's just a product of where my mind is right now - any future entries should be more normal.

1000X Resist (watched: Welonz) Welonz is from Hong Kong. She understands what this game is talking about. She explains.

Anthology of the Killer (played) The first game I've found entirely because of glowing Backloggd reviews. I am not in the mental space to grapple with the political themes right now. The horror-comedy is fun.

Arco (played) I like this game a lot, so why do I have nothing at all to say about it?

Astroloco: Worst Contact (watched: ZenBear) A decade-old Let's Play of a shitty indie adventure game. I actually surprisingly enjoyed it.

Balatro (played) I'm starting to realize how abnormally bad I am at this game. I still pick it up from time to time but the draw is getting less strong. My brother and I both got each other Balato-themed gifts for Hanukkah.

Banjo-Kazooie (watched: PlayFrame) I wish I had a game I was this nostalgic for. I wish I had a friendship as strong as the two Dans.

Blasphemous (watched: adricarra) It feels so rare to find a Spanish Let's Player playing a Spanish game with Spanish text and Spanish voiceover. Watching these videos is all I'm using my bachelor's degree in Spanish for.

The Darkside Detective (watched: Kikoskia) The sequel was the first game I ever recorded a Let's Play video of so the series is important to me forever.

Dicey Dungeons (watched: SummerDumber) I wanted to replay this for a while but I think I'll just watch this girl 100% it instead.

Eat Girl (played) Pac-Man is a game everyone is nostalgic for, even if they didn't grow up a gamer. I'm almost never excited to play more arcadey games, but this one has sucked me in.

Guardians of the Galaxy (watched: Welonz) I adored adored adored the story, so much more than I thought I would. I think I'm attached to the game version of these characters now and I can never watch the movies or even read the comics.

Hades II (played) It feels stupid to go for completionism in an Early Access game where the devs could remove or change boons whenever they feel like it, but I'm going for it.

Hero Hours Contract (played) The pixel art is really cute but now that I've been away from it a few weeks I just remember it as a grindfest.

Landlord of the Woods (played) I thought this would help me get my YouTube channel back on track. It did not help.

Lies of P (watched: Quasimofo) Quasi knew next to nothing about Pinocchio going into this game and I'm pretty sure he also didn't know what Italy was.

Love, Ghostie (played) Was completely obsessed with this one for a few days. It's a too-happy, squeaky-clean version of video game romance and I was afraid my friends with edgier tastes would judge me for it. I loved every moment.

Neva (played) I don't know if I can finish this one. If something happens to this wolfie...

Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye (watched: PlayFrame) I do not see the appeal of this game. It's fun to watch, but every person I've seen talk about this game has been like "It's life-changing it's incredible" and it just looks like torture to me.

The Secret of Monkey Island (watched: Quasimofo) I made a complainy post about them earlier but damn I love adventure games.

Shipwrecked 64 (watched: Andrew Cunningham and mollystars) This was not part of my usual watching routine, two Deltarune video essayists I watch streamed this and I just wanted something mindless on while I did something else.

Stardew Valley (played) My problem with simulation games is how much restraint I put into it. I'm in the middle of my first fall and all of my crops fit in three little patches and I feel like that's not enough.

Sumatra: Fate of Yandi (watched: GSDBoxer) GSD usually plays RPGs. It was fun to watch him play an adventure game.

Sunless Skies (watched: Laila Dyer) I actually finished this Let's Play this month. It was 143 episodes long and I'd been watching it since July or August.

Wandersong (watched: Kikoskia) A super special game that introduced me to this super special YouTuber.

July 2025 - Monthly Update

This month has been a rollercoaster. The summer heat often takes a toll on me, especially when it comes along with a dust haze.

Several things have happened over the past few weeks, so, as always, let's take it step by step:

Echoes of a Wish

I wanted to surprise you at the end of this month with some news about the novel, but I have to postpone it until next month. I would’ve loved to do it in July, but time got away from me and, on top of that, I had a small unexpected accident that left me without a computer. (I still don’t have it back.)

On the bright side, I managed to make progress on a lot of details before my PC gave out, and I hope the technician calls me soon so I can recover it. If all goes well, I should have enough time to get everything organized in August and finally show you the surprise I’ve been working on.

I’ve shared all of Eli’s content, including her short story, on social media. Oh! And just a quick reminder that I’ll be creating more paid content on Patreon: stories about side characters, extra scenes from the novels, weekly progress updates, and more.

In fact, I’m halfway through Nicky’s story. It’s a scene that overlaps with her first appearance in the novel. Writing from her point of view has been really interesting; I hadn’t realized how… bittersweet her mind is.

I’m really looking forward to you reading it!

Unfortunately, I don’t have much more to share about Echoes, so let’s move on to the next thing:

Wyatt

I don't think I've ever shared anything about this novel here on Tumblr. So I'll just say that it's an urban fantasy trilogy I'm currently working on. Its title is actually The Shadow of Demons, but Wyatt, the name of the protagonist, is shorter to refer to it.

I’ve been consistently working on this novel throughout the month. I finished chapters eight and nine, and I’ve written the first scene of chapter ten.

I haven’t gotten further because, after finishing chapter nine, I realized I needed to sit down and write, structure, and organize in more detail the supernatural creatures that exist in Wyatt’s world.

The way I decided to approach it is by writing Leyala’s grimoire, that little book my dear witch forces Wyatt to read and study so he can start to understand what he’s up against now that he knows real monsters exist.

Honestly, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it this much. Writing the grimoire from Leyala’s point of view, more like a survivor’s journal than a formal guide, full of her dark humor and sarcastic personality, is a lot of fun.

Here’s a passage about the harpies:

“Damn vultures with boobs. I swear I’m going to take down every single one I see from now on. They’re absolute #*%#@ and not a single one deserves mercy. I even hate having to write anything positive about them. I wish I could just say they’ve got nothing but bird brains.”

As you can probably tell, Leyala isn’t exactly fond of harpies.

She’s definitely my favorite character in this story.

I’ve given a twist to some of the creatures, trying to blend their mythology with the modern world and even toss in a few “scientific” explanations here and there.

I think I’ve already included almost all the supernatural and mythological beings I wanted to add, though it’s likely most of them won’t appear directly in the trilogy. I might not even name them. But a few people have told me they think it’s a cool detail to have on hand, and that even if these things don’t show up in the novels, they find them really interesting.

I don’t know if I’ll be adding many more, but I do know I still have the longest and most lore-heavy entry in the entire grimoire left to write. There’s a lot to unpack about angels and demons, their different ranks and how they interact with each other.

I’m also planning to add little “illustrations” as if they were drawings Leyala herself made in each entry, showing her interacting with the creatures she writes about.

It’s going to be a fun touch, and I honestly can’t wait to see how it all turns out once it’s finished.

Charlie

Charlie, or The Legacy of the Sea, is a fantasy and pirate novel that will be released in a couple of months if all goes well. The protagonist, Charlie, is a pirate captain who has decided that her next goal will be to solve the mystery surrounding the greatest treasure in the world: The Legacy of Runa Ivrin.

Runa was the greatest pirate who ever lived, the one who accumulated the most treasure and the most powerful sorceress of all. To protect her treasure, she cursed an entire island that now destroys every ship that crosses its path.

But Charlie is not afraid of curses or spells, because she is no ordinary pirate either.

That said, what I have done this month to move forward with the details of publishing this novel is…

The interactive story - Cupid’s Letter

The title is still provisional, but it fits the plot pretty well so far. I’ve been playing around with the story a bit to make it engaging enough for you all. It really helps that I love reading this kind of interactive novels myself, so I have a good idea of what people usually look for in this format.

At first, it was going to follow a single storyline with just one romantic path. But a big part of the charm of an interactive romance novel is having multiple romantic interests for the protagonist to choose from.

So, I’ve decided to go with three possible romance routes.

One of them is already pretty much mapped out from beginning to end. I still have to plan the other two. Luckily, the early chapters follow a common base storyline across all routes, so I’ve got some wiggle room to work things out.

I’m trying to figure out how to best organize the process: should I develop all the routes at once, or focus on one and move to the next afterward? I guess that’s something I’ll learn as I go.

But it’s a project I’m really into, and I want to see where it leads. I don’t know when or how exactly, but it will move forward.

That I can promise.

And that was July!

I didn’t get to do everything I had planned, but it was a productive month all the same.

For August, I’m hoping to have the Echoes surprise ready, along with Nicky’s story and a couple of extra goodies for Patreon. I also hope to get back to working on Charlie, who just needs those final touches before she’s ready to go out and conquer the world.

Was a natural blond as a kid

Has worn glasses for almost his entire life, when he turned five, he got glasses that he only had a wear a little, when he was a pre-teen he was told to wear glasses all the time, but without glasses, his vision is a little blurry (which explains why it seems he can see pretty good in the part of mh where he isn't wearing the glasses)

Knew Jay since they were in kindergarten, Jay was a incredibly extroverted child when alex was a little bit introverted.

Alex was a average angsty teen girl (pre transition), and he would get in fights with popular girls who insulted him.

Transitioned when he graduated highschool, his parents are homophobes/transphobes so you can imagine how well they took that, so alex moved out, cutting contact with his parents.

Alex was a slightly awkward middle schooler, and he got bullied for wearing glasses and being into nerdy stuff.

Alex loves the X-files, he loves paranormal stuff, found footage is one of his favorite horror sub-genres.

He likes Dungeons and dragons, he enjoys boardgames alot but he rages out at monopoly often.

He met brian in highschool, and crushed over him a little, Jay got jealous that alex was crushing over brian.

Never got a top surgery, he just binded, he got a binder. Nor did he get a bottom surgery.

He was a incredibly rebellious teen, he snuck out a lot, he got drunk and high in the middle of a field, he'd have a lot of fun with random guys he'd meet at parties

Alex loves action films, and godzilla, stuff like that. Oh my god does he love the terminator movies. He's all about sci-fi, horror, comedy, and other stuff like that.

He LOVES star wars.

He and Jay shared a dorm in college until they got their own places (Alex's house that is out in the country yk, and Jay's apartment).

Alex enjoys the country, and he'd go on a lot of hikes (not so much after the influence started.)

Alex dated Jay In college, and then when alex gave Jay the tapes, they broke up. Alex wasnt very phased by their breakup.

But before their break up, alex felt a bit guilty about breaking up with jay but he did it anyway.

When alex is far into his influence, he just sometimes forgets to clean his binder. He does still shower atleast.

He rarely sleeps at all during the time period of season three, he's just up, paranoid about the operator, drawing pages.

When alex was dying on the floor in entry #86, he then actually feels a bit guilty about killing the others.

Yep! But mostly retired drivers </3 I love Mark and Jense! And then for current drivers, I like Oscar, and Max a bit as well(I can't help but feel loyal to him bcs he was my first fav)

Who is your least favorite driver?

I dislike being a hater on main but....#3 and #4. Also tbh I feel neutral to dislike about most current drivers, other than my 3 guys, so!

Do you pull for drivers or do you like teams as well?

I'm mostly driver motivated, I think I'd follow Fernando anywhere, and probably Oscar too. I like and support teams as well but mostly just because my guy is there! It's like, I love Aston, right? They support Fernando, they're willing to do so much for him, they love him, the vibe is really good. But if he decided to blow up Aston tomorrow, I'd be like "I'm right there with you!!"

If you like teams, what team do you pull for?

+ HOWEVER! I am an RBR devotee. Like it's not even that much about the drivers, I like Max a lot, but I think I'll always keep my eye on RBR as long as I'm into F1. I just love the history of the team and their vibe. My fav team of all time will always be RBR 2009-2013, just so special to me 🥹 Not that I was actually around for it but, the way they evolved from a team that was mostly there to bring fun to the paddock to one of the most successful teams of all time, as well as being a fucking energy drink company in a sport full of car companies, is just so cool and inspiring to me. And I love the red bull golden boys so much(Seb and Max beloveds!!!) And I also have an addiction to red bull....But I got into them first so I have a special connection, even if I don't root for them all the time. Them and their aesthetic makes me happy :) they are F1 to me :)

How long have you been into F1

Probably over a year and half by now? I wish I could say I've been into it longer but unfortunately I am an American shjfkgkg

What got you into F1?

I've mentioned this several times before but. I read some oneshot in my prev fandom that was an F1 AU. And I was just like, enthralled. The first time I read it, I had to keep looking up stuff, and I kept going back to it. And then I went on the author's blog, and saw they talked about DTS and how to get into F1. So I tried watching DTS and it was alright I guess. But there happened to be an actual race that same weekend, so I tuned in, and was so into it!! Ah man there's nothing like that first race tbh. I knew only one driver, Max, and I rooted so hard for him and he won 🥹 it was just fun back then not knowing enough to be stressed and having pure focus on one guy. I'm happy where I'm at now, but that first race was cool :,)

Do you enjoy fanfic/rpf?

Yes of course >:) I think I probably looked at the ao3 page for F1 before even watching my first race actually, it's very habitual for me when joining a fandom. I draw rpf and write my own AU lore stuff, and meta and all that. And I think I check the ao3 page at least once a day 😭 its an essential part of my fandom experience

How do you view new fans?

Hmmmm sometimes I feel like an old person, even though I haven't even been here that long. I think F1 has such a learning curve and barrier to entry compared to most fandoms. Like you have to learn so much about racing and the drivers as well until you feel like you actually have a good grasp imo. So I guess it's weird for me to see new fans bcs im like, oh god was I like that back then 😭 I'm happy to see new fans ofc!! But it's also like, good luck on your learning journey 🫡

If you could take over as team principal for any team, who would it be and why?

I am not a good leader, I think we'd crash and burn if I took over a team 😭 they'd be like "Catie! What should we do???" and I'd have a nervous breakdown. Go back in time to be TP for McLaren and be like, be careful who you invite to your garage at the Miami gp LMFAO

Are your friends and family into F1 as well?

Yes! My brother was into F1 before me(what a bastard for not getting me into it earlier.) Which is hilarious though because I pay for the F1TV account that he leeches off of. Like, damn who's the real F1 fan 🥱 I got my dad into it last season, and it was a very gradual process. He's a huge Fernando fan though, which is really fun, and sometimes he's much more positive abt the sport than me hahaha. He likes Fernando bcs they're both old men, and getting to see Fernando succeed last year is what pulled him into the sport. Some of my irl friends know of F1 but I don't think they watch all the races.

Are you open to talking to other fans/friends?

Of course!!!!! I am always desperate to talk to new people, feel free to hit me up always :D I will talk about anything F1, Fernando, Seb, Vettonso, etc related whenever :) I remember I got an ask a while ago last yr that's like "are you open to being friends/mutuals w strangers." It's like, um, yeah??? Its a lot of fun to be on here, I love making connections

pokemon AU brainrot is real (i can't draw pokemon) i have some thoughts underneath the cut, so you can read them for fun if you'd like. what i will say over it though is that once again rabbit's gigantic sexy galaxy brain gave the pokemon ideas for murasaku, moriliu, and mayukuro. mwah thanks as always you should give your brain more credit (i will force you to)

when SV came out i remember bulldozing for a charcadet cuz i saw ceruledge and was like damn that's cool, and named him "tatsuya" (first name for fun) - then i found out he had a counterpart (armarouge) and i was like wow this is literally kagami and himuro (please see their dex entries for more info). i haven't done much in the way of writing, but just know in my head there's an entire story with the dramatic breakup where they both started off with charcadet, and then stuff happened. emulating canon, basically. alex trained them with her skeledirge.

next, takao's emolga and erika's pancham torment himuro, because why not. hot man suffering or something. himuro's popularity certainly translates over to pokemon (emolga likes midorima better, but they like to tease himuro because takao does).

last of the himuro series, i do have an entire team thought up for himueri - i love ceruledge, but froslass would be THE pokemon for himuro (like, designated partner pokemon... reasons are self-explanatory). and cinccino is THE pokemon for erika (scarf...) - they're just tormenting each other. my favorite thought about this is that froslass very often thinks about making himuro a frozen statue because of how hot he is (she doesn't, because she's trained well, but she has Thoughts). she doesn't really care about erika but grows to tolerate her, and would turn her into a statue if it makes himuro happy (i mean, it wouldn't, but froslass is vibing). on the other hand, cinccino admires himuro's skin and wonders about his skincare routine.

murasakibara and sakurai own their own bakery shop, where they cater to pokemon and humans alike. don't mind the poisonous looking poffins. amoonguss (sakurai's) just chills around the shop a lot and tries to leech off the extra goodies if there are any. alcremie (murasakibara's) helps out with the baking, and is fascinated by how well the two can manage to switch between different types of pastries and bento boxes. savory AND sweet foods offered! i call it a bakery but it's a glorified bakery because they can do a lot of different foods.

moriyama and liu wei definitely start out like how i've written them in my yosen canon lol they bond over wanting to flirt and seduce women, but it creates a whole other can of sexual tension. moriyama's delcatty is often the semi-unwilling captain of moriyama's journey to become popular with women. she does love him but barely manages to tolerate his shenanigans (unfortunately, it sometimes works - girls will come up to pet his delcatty. she enjoys being pampered and the attention, at least). escavalier for liu wei, and to quote rabbit, a knight in shining armor represents his ideals best given his antiquated demeanor. plus, it's pretty swoonworthy to be popular with the ladies. they're all gay though.

mimikyu for mayuzumi and pikachu for kuroko should be self-explanatory. kuroko's pikachu has blue eyes... because why not. i imagine that mayuzumi reads out in the park often to calm mimikyu's sadness. pikachu desperately wants mimikyu to like him. mimikyu ain't having it though. however, much to mayuzumi's disgruntlement, mimikyu does like kuroko more than pikachu. no one is deterred by the other's bitterness - in fact, it's much ammo for teasing.
