insane to acknowledge that your argument fundamentally has flaws but then say anyone who points them out is a basement dweller 😭
It's so hard to write anything trans critical because you can't even say things like "women have vaginas" or "women produce eggs" without some annoying ass basement dweller saying "so you're saying cis women who can't produce eggs aren't women?"
#its not surprising that someones gonna have an issue when you say “women produce eggs” or “women have xx chromosomes”#those are generalizing statements that arent always true#so yeah someone might have an issue

HIIIII benji i hope u are doing well this ask is apropros of nothing except i've wanted to send it for a while but keep forgetting. anyway i know work is killing you slowly (i am sending hate vibes to ur shitty coworkers) so feel free not to answer this ask if you are not feeling it but. i'm sooo curious as to what you would want ppl who write bakery AUs to know (i'm not personally writing one but have just been pondering AUs/fandom tropes recently) <3 anyway hope you are having a nice day!!
oooo this is a very fun question krow!!!!! ive actually been thinking about this a lot while walking around work so thank you hgjdlsag. important disclaimer on this is that i work with large scale cafeteria dessert production, with very little bread production but occassional catering/cake decorating/plated desserts. so this is likely not all universally applicable but heres my big things!!!
the average baker is an absolute neurotic mess. most ppl who work in kitchens have some combination of high strung + extreme adhd which is also true of bakers but bakers are also often INSANE perfectionists and generally pretty prideful?? so when choosing your baker character for a bakery au dont go with the soft kind hearted one, go with the asshole who has to be right, is always working, and is a high strung perfectionist. like when the fiona and cake series made prince bubblegum be a baker that was the right choice. correct statement
its a sort of weirdly solitary job??? like you work in close quarters with people, but in general everyone does Their Own Projects with very little overlap with each other. does not make one particularly team oriented
not particularly surprising, but it Is a very physically demanding job and you get pretty good at tossing around 50+ bags of flour or lifting up absurdly heavy 60qt bowls. i heart putting a 30lb box on my shoulder and walkin around
despite the aforementioned perfectionism things do just sort of go wrong in baking, and its usually not that big a deal. the more of it you do, the more you realize baking isnt Really a science and its fine to sort of fudge stuff, and even if you make something the exact same way 100 times probably 20 of those times itll turn out like crap for literally no reason at all. it happens. also literally all of us burn stuff at one time or another
its Very, Very repetetive. you got a lot of time to think about whatever the hell you want while youre like scooping 800 cookies or whatever. great news for the bakery au fic: this is a perfect time for a character to stew in whatever relationship drama theyre in
yes, you do have to go in that early. getting out at like 12 or 1 is GREAT but it puts your schedule CRAZY at odds with everyone else in the world
handful of really small things that i think would be fun to include in a fic: you always come home smelling like whatever you baked last, you get small burns on your arms pretty damn often, you have to spend just as much time cleaning as you do actually making product, you loose your sweet tooth REALLY fast (i used to have a crazy sweet tooth and when my coworker told me this i was like haha yeah right! she was right.), baking things at small scale becomes weirdly difficult (wdym 4 tblsp butter not 16lbs???? what???), you get weirdly good at being able to weigh amounts by feel alone (ive become that onionguesser guy at the grocery store)
cake decorating is REALLY GODDAMN HARD.
anyways yay!!!!! i will admit i dont read Too too many modern au type fics so im not sure what tropes are out there and arent, but youre right and its really interesting to think about!!!!! if you ever see anyone with questions about a bakery au feel free to send em my way :salute:
i hope youre having a nice day too!!! ty againnnnn <3
#asks#krownest#genuinely i kept thinking about this the past few weeks something would happen at work and i would be like#oh ill add that to the ask krow sent in......

What do you think gay men are attracted to in men that they can’t be attracted to in women?
It can’t be anything about femininity or masculinity obviously. That’s both sexist, and cultural so can’t be what drives men-only attraction.
It can’t be anything about stated identity because someone could lie just as easily as they could tell the truth in such a statement, and it makes no sense because homosexuality and heterosexuality exists in other species with no stated identities. It’s not like other animals without gender are all pan.
Saying idk it’s the vibes or some indescribable trait men have that women can’t but “I can’t explain” is a nonanswer.
Soooooooo what is it? Or do you think any sexuality but bi/pan is just cultural performance or an identity rather than an inborn orientation?
- [ ]
this feels like bait but damn you sure are making a lot of assumptions about incredibly large groups of people with any number of unique experiences here.
"it cant be anything about feminity or masculinity"/"it cant be anything about stated identity" yes it can. because different people are going to have different reasons and explanations for why they are attracted to who they are. some people ARE attracted based on how feminine/masculine someone is. some people ARE attracted based on stated identity. by saying that it cant be these things youre making a huge generalization. just because You Personally do or dont experience these factors doesnt mean that its the same for every other individual.
youre absolutely right that attraction based on masculinity/feminity is culture based! so are many many other factors of romantic and sexual attraction (cultural expectations, societal opinions, views on monogamy vs polygamy, cultures where arranged marriages are standard, etc.) that might influence someones attraction to a potential partner. so i dont know why youre acknowledging that there is a cultural difference in some cases and then writing off any possible case of attraction to gender presentation (conformity or non-conformity) as impossible. not to mention that it isnt necessarily sexist to have those preferences at all. i for one, am a butch lesbian who is (primarily) attracted to other butches. that isnt me saying that a partner needs to act and perform in one particular way or another on the basis of discrimination, thats just me saying what i find attractive personally. just like i can say i prefer orange juice over apple juice. i dont think its Wrong to like apple juice, and i dont think people who do prefer to drink it are wrong or bad, i just dont like it personally. there have been subgroups in the queer community for literal decades that came together over attraction to very specific gender presentations (butches, femmes, twinks, bears, etc.). not to mention, when it comes to meeting a potential partner (at least in person) visual appearance tends to be one of- if not the first- things you notice about them. of course thats going to have some sort of influence on how you view them.
sure, people absolutely can lie about their stated identity. theres plenty of cases where people will attest that someone lied about their gender to get into their pants (and that sucks when it happens!). but that doesnt mean that its always true that someone will lie nor does it make it common to do so. fun fact, but if your partner is attracted to something that you Know You Arent, it tends to be a pretty unfulfilling relationship and lies like that are difficult to keep up.
and for some people, it literally is just Based On Vibes! some people do not have the words to describe what they find attractive, some people just know that theyre attracted to men and not women, and absolutely No One is obligated to explain it to a stranger (and much less an anonymous one). im putting in the time to type this all out because some of the things you said bothered me, but you dropping this on a random stranger is fuckin weird yknow?
the way you worded this last part is weird. no, i dont think that. its the same as any other attraction to one gender. do you think that being straight is just an identity or cultural performance? and if youre trying to say that it isnt the same on account of biological compatibility when it comes to having children, what about straight couples where one partner is trans? or straight couples where one is infertile? youre coming at this from the angle that being gay is the only form of single-gender attraction.
and alllll of that put aside to say that i dont know why you sent me this. im literally just a random person on the internet, i am not an expert in attraction in any manner. i can only speak as far as my own experiences and observations.
not to mention
i am not a gay man
#discourse#???#anon what exactly did i post that compelled you to send this to me#i am quite literally not the target audience of your question#i tried to word this the best i could#but i saw this Literally first thing in the morning and im a bit preoccupied studying for an exam i have later today#so apologies if its a bit scatterbrained or disorganized#if anyone else wants to contribute to this question feel free but like. dont expect me to continue talking about it#i am busy and discourse gets on my nerves real fast#long post#sorry i shouldve put that there to begin with. slipped my mind

An observation/thought rant on internet hype.
firstly I apologise for the seemingly out of the blue, really long post but I really want to talk about the recent hype on Squid Game and internet hype in general.
I also want to note that Im not trying to upset anyone and that if you wanna ask me to clarify anthing I wrote, feel free to in the replies since I feel like I sometimes word stuff badly.
So a while back I saw a trailer about a new show on netflix, it had murder, puzzles, cute guys with a creepy battle royal type competition premise, and when it finally came out, I watched it all in one day and I enjoyed it a lot.
I started seeing people talk about it on social media and I thought, “oh cool, it’s nice that a cool show is getting recognition, especially since it’s a foreign laguage show that usually would get overlooked.” I would see tiktoks, reddit threads and youtube videos, all reacting to it, making the dalgona/honeycomb stuff, making memes, making headcannons and doing little reanactments. all of these things I enjoyed because I felt like I was a part of a moment in history.
However there always gets to a point in widespread hype where things start to get tiring/ over the top until eventually it gets taken apart, disected and talked about until its everywhere, its all too much and its just not fun anymore. Sometimes the internet, and the people on it don’t know when to stop and end up running trends and popular things into the ground.
I mean look at Gangnam Style, Fortnite, Frozen. all those things started as a bandwagon that gained heavy popularity and ended up at a stage where you couldn’t go 2 seconds without seeing a video, a plush toy, merch, fanfictions, fanart, recreations, themed parties/club nights plastered everywhere.
And then you get the inevitble moment where groups of people appear that start to resent it, get annoyed and start saying “This thing is bad and cringe actually”. These statements and opinion pieces arent exactly true but more a representation of peoples content burn out. Squid game won’t get worse over time and neither have the things mentioned, but rather people will just get completely fed up with seeing it until they feel like the only way to feel better is to complain outwardly and rant.
the best analogy I can think of is someone telling the same joke over and over again but on a bigger scale
so personally I can see the content burnout approaching me over the horizon in the next few weeks (as someone who is active in the Korean drama/music/culture partof the intenet, and I will try my best to distance myself from content before that happens but for things like widespread content like Squid Game it’s not as simple as just blocking tags as things like this tend to bleed into the physical world.
basically burnout for specific popular things is inevitable. and sometimes the internet as a culture and community has no limit when it comes to interact and make content/jokes about popular things.
I still enjoy Squid Game as a TV show and probably will in the future but sometimes the oversaturation of content in anything can get too much. Im not sayng that people should stop enjoying things but the way the internet works, exitement over things can seem bigger and longer lasting than something not on the internet, since everything is there, easily accessible and put in front of your eyes all at once through algoritms.

(pt. 1) it seems ennea 1/8/cp6s can mistype as one another quite often. it also seems that there is an overwhelming amount of bs circulating around these types. especially 8s. you know more than i do, so i figured that i'd ask for your input. thanks in advance if you choose to read all this. basically, which one would you say is most fitting for myself? i'm extremely stubborn and willful. tbh, those two are simultaneously some of my best AND worst traits.
(pt. 2) i've gotten better at unclenching as i've aged though, so on the whole i think they're positive forces in my life at this point. when i was a kid i had some anger issues, but i worked on them and by the time i reached adulthood the issues had been dealt with. i still feel anger (of course lol), possibly a bit more often than others, but i dont really blow up. using that energy to instead try to fix the problem causing anger ASAP is better in literally every way so i do that instead.
(pt. 3) that last part about the anger actually is one of my tripping points, most descriptions of 8s ive read show them as being very explosive. some of them to the point where it sounds kind of cartoonish- which makes me doubt how accurate their descriptions of 8s are. but moving on, i'm very independent and have been from a young age. being reliant on other people is like sandpaper on my soul, i have trust issues tbh (that im working on with a professional)
(pt. 4) one of my more 1-ish traits (i think??) is that i tend to be pretty focused on the morality of my actions, with apparently enough intensity that other people point it out when describing me. i'm VERY concerned with justice. it's difficult for me to be a bystander. seeing people attacking others who cant defend themselves is infuriating on a deep level. i'll stand down if the victim asks, since they know their lives better than me, and offer other forms of support instead.
(pt. 5) related to that, i have very high emotional empathy while also having low cognitive empathy (both due to the same neurodivergence) which i think drives me towards compassion. despite the fact that i, in general, feel things with the intensity of a bonfire pushing the limits of what can be controlled, i apparently dont often show it externally. other people (w/ the exception of close friends) almost universally describe me as aloof. which probably ties into the trust issues tbh.
(pt. 6) close friends have told me that, before they got to knew me, that they were intimidated by me and thought that i didnt like them. other people seem to feel the same, but dont say so very often. with the people that were stubborn/caring enough to actually get to know me, it takes a LONG time for me to start opening up to them. but once we get to that point, pretty much the only thing that'd break off the friendship is them doing something morally reprehensible, violating my boundaries...
(pt. 7) or them ending the friendship themselves. a stumbling block in some of my relationships is that i can get into power struggles, sometimes over things that arent really that important in hindsight. i dont want to be anyones subordinate, i need equality in all my personal relationships if they're going to exist at all. i tend to take on the role of the Dad Friend in my friend groups; ive been told by them that they kind of see me as a source of strength that they can draw from/rely on
(pt. 8) ... its something that i like about myself. im also very blunt when communicating for better or worse. people come to me for honest, direct feedback and input, but it has made me some enemies in the past. when i was less mature it made me kind of abrasive tbh, though i learned to play nice well enough that its been literal years since i heard that specific complaint. also this is apparently relevant to the type question so tl;dr yeah, bad childhood. hopefully this is enough info for you
-------
Hi anon,
Thanks for your patience! My guess is cp6, but I’m not positive. I should also add, as always, that I do believe that neurodivergent people can be typed but because I do not (and should not) have all the details of people’s conditions nor can I judge what is due to those conditions and what is inherent to personality (not to mention whether that condition is something you consider inherent to your personality) it can be much more difficult for me to type.
While the way we act in inboxes isn’t the same necessarily as how we act in real life, “thanks in advance if you choose to read this” is not really an 8 statement to me and none of the writing style here stands out as 8: it’s far too conciliatory. 8s can be polite/cordial, but in my experience there tends to be a certain forcefulness or at least expectation. A healthy 8 is more likely to assume they will be read.
Similarly, you indicate that expressing that anger directly is something you’ve moved away from. 8s don’t - they learn perhaps to express it more respectfully (it is true that constant explosive anger is extremely unhealthy and that a lot of 8 descriptions are really hyperbolic) but healthy 8s don’t feel bad about being angry and find value in that expression, in addition to fixing the problem.
With that said I don’t get the sense you feel bad about angry outbursts necessarily, which is pretty common in 1s, and the morality seems outward focused: this doesn’t feel like a fear of “what if I am corrupt” but rather a more 6-like focus of defense and fighting for a belief.
You do mention extreme loyalty to those you are close to, and the wariness of a cp6 but the inherent 6 need for support systems - and willingness to be a pillar within that support system speaks to that.
The one thing that does still speak to 8 is the need for equality, and so I would look into what that ultimate fear is: is it a fear of being dominated or controlled in general (8), or is it a mistrust of those who have been in control over you and who did not provide you with the beneficial guidance and support they should have (6)?

Ppl telling me I'm on the best phase of my life then god what is the worst
hey i love you and i kno what its like to be told that kind of thing and rlly people who say those broad general statements saying like "oh highschool/college/your teens/20s are the best years of your life" are really assuming a lot and just basing that statement off their own experience
and time and time again ive interacted with so many people who agree that these statements really arent necessarily true and they dont define or dictate your life
just because youre suffeting during the stage that people say is supposed to be "the best part" of your life doesnt mean that there cant be better times ahead
bc yknow what everyones life is different and everyone has different paths they take in life that they go on in different paces and its not realistic to expect everyone to all have one specific part of their life thats "the best part" and have that always be the same stage for everyone like thats just not reasonable.
please dont beat yourself up for having a hard time right now you arent doing anything wrong and youre allowed to be having a hard time right now and even if theres obsticles ahead there can be good things too. your life is not defined by the broad general statements ppl say like this and i believe in u

State Republican Parties Blast Members Of Gop Who Voted To Impeach Trump

State-level Republican parties are blasting GOP members such as Rep. John Katko of New York for voting in favor of impeaching President Trump on Wednesday.
Some Republicans who broke from the GOP to back the Democrats’ historic second impeachment resolution for President Trump are facing heat from their local Republican parties for how they voted.
More than a year ago, all House Republicans voted against the president’s first impeachment. On Wednesday, 10 GOP members joined with every Democrat to impeach Trump, some of whom were the sole representative from their state’s delegation to vote that way.
Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, Jaime Herrera Beutler Washington, John Katko of New York, Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Peter Meijer of Michigan, Dan Newhouse of Washington, Tom Rice of South Carolina, Fred Upton of Michigan and David Valadao of California voted to impeach.
The choice to split from the party’s majority comes with a risk that those members could face political blowback for their votes and lose support altogether from their state’s Republican Party come the next election.
Cheney, the No. 3 in the House Republican leadership as the GOP conference chair, is getting flak from the Wyoming Republican Party and her congressional colleagues.
Senate Votes To Acquit Trump In Historic Second Impeachment Trial
The Senate voted to acquit former President Donald Trump of inciting the January 6 riot at the Capitol in his second impeachment trial. Seven Republicans joined all Democrats in voting guilty for a majority of 57 votes but Democrats failed to get the two-thirds majority needed to convict.
The Republicans who joined with the Democrats were: Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.;
Although he voted to acquit, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell issued a blistering statement calling Mr. Trump practically and morally responsible for the riot, but he felt it was unconstitutional to convict a former office holder. The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president, McConnell said.
Mr. Trump issued a statement Saturday afternoon thanking his legal team, as well as the Republicans in the Senate who found him not guilty and GOP House members who voted against the article of impeachment last month. He did not acknowledge the riot in his statement.;
Opinionthe Unfortunate Reason Republicans Like Rand Paul Are Already Attacking Biden
The callousness of lawmakers like Hawley is now a distressing image that stands beside the shouts of rioters calling for the lynching of then-Vice President Mike Pence as testaments to how far the GOP has fallen.
Republicans like Hawley may flee to the gallery when our nation needs leadership, but they wont be able to outrun their complicity in supporting the far-right radicals who raided their workplace. If they arent held accountable by voters at the ballot box, the impeachment trial will forever serve as a testament to their dark role in American history.

How Long Will The Trial Last
How long the trial will take is not known, but most people believe it will be much shorter than the three-week trial the last time Trump was impeached over his actions over Ukraine, when he was accused of abusing his power and obstructing Congress. The verdict could come after just a couple of days.
It is unclear yet whether the Senate will vote to allow the legal teams to call witnesses in person, although the trial is highly unusual in that the jury are witnesses, as senators were present in the Capitol and were forced into hiding as the mob invaded the very chamber where the trial will be held.
Gop Largely Sides Against Holding Trump Impeachment Trial
WASHINGTON All but five Senate Republicans voted in favor of an effort to dismiss Donald Trumps historic second impeachment trial on Tuesday, making clear a conviction of the former president for incitement of insurrection after the deadly Capitol siege on Jan. 6 is unlikely.
While the Republicans did not succeed in ending the trial before it began, the test vote made clear that Trump still has enormous sway over his party as he becomes the first former president to be tried for impeachment. Many Republicans have criticized Trumps role in the attack before which he told his supporters to fight like hell to overturn his defeat but most of them have rushed to defend him in the trial.
I think this was indicative of where a lot of peoples heads are, said South Dakota Sen. John Thune, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate, after the vote.
Leahy presided over the trials first procedural vote, a 55-45 tally that saw the Senate set aside an objection from Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul that would have declared the impeachment proceedings unconstitutional and dismissed the trial.

The First Next Step: Trump And The 2022 Elections
Now that the impeachment trial is behind him,;Trump is likely to first test his strength among Republicans in congressional and state elections including divisive primaries.
Trump and his supporters;vowed to back primary challengers against Republicans who supported impeachment, particularly the House Republicans who voted for it.
That target list ranges from Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, the House’s third-ranked Republican, to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and;Secretary of State Brad;Raffensperger, both of whom rejected Trump’s demands to reverse the election results.
More:Donald Trump is unhappy with his legal team, allies say, but still confident he’ll be acquitted
Challenging primaries don’t always translate to losses.;
The Trump factor could hurt Republicans in general elections in states and congressional districts that are closely divided among the GOP, Democrats;and independents.
Trump is “still the 800-pound gorilla within the GOP,” pollster Frank Luntz said, “but he has no support outside the party.” Republicans will need those voters to win enough House and Senate races to reclaim Congress.
Republicans who oppose Trump are preparing to campaign for those who believe the party needs to move on from the impeached president.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., who voted for impeachment and created a political action committee, told CNN, “I;don’t fear the president at all.”
Here’s What The Gop Believes
Cynicism comes easy in an era of maximal polarization. Different parties embrace different ideologies, agendas, and sometimes even entirely distinct constellations of facts and truths. From inside either closed world, the other one appears shot through with delusion with its leaders blamed for actively encouraging deception for the sake of political gain.
That’s what I’ve accused Republicans of doing in a pair of recent columns. I’ve called them cynics who manipulate voters by intentionally deceiving them with lies and sometimes even by eliding the distinction between truth and falsehood altogether for the sake of winning political advantage. But there is something more than a little cynical about this very accusation itself. Some, like President Trump and his most loyal minions in Congress , may well be comfortable spreading a miasma of epistemological confusion out of political expediency. But that’s not all that’s going on on the Republican side of the debate about impeachment.
There is at least one story that Republicans are telling themselves about impeachment that rises above cynicism. I find it largely unconvincing, but it is not reducible to a clamoring for power at all costs or an indifference to the distinction between truth and lies. Many on the right actually believe it to be true and defensible. And it’s worth making an effort to understand it from the inside, so that we can better understand our fellow citizens.

Letters To The Editor Sept 26 2021
A group of House Republicans have filed articles of impeachment against President Biden over his handling of the immigration crisis at the southern border and his chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to a report.
Rep. Bob Gibbs , who is leading the;effort, said Biden violated his oath of office,;in the three articles he filed on Tuesday.
Yesterday, I filed three articles of impeachment against President Biden based on what I believe to be clear violations of his duties as president, .
He is co-sponsor of the articles along with Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Brian Babin and Randy Weber of Texas.;
His willful negligence of the border crisis is a failure to maintain and defend American sovereignty. Bidens attempts to extend a federal eviction moratorium despite the Supreme Courts warning and his own admission that he has no power to do so is a blatant and intentional action that violates the separation of powers, Gibbs continued.
Gibbs claimed in the articles that Biden released thousands of migrants into the US without ordering them to appear in court for an immigration hearing on a specific date.
Biden also allowed migrants who tested positive for the coronavirus to enter the US, Gibbs said.;He said Biden extended the eviction moratorium despite a ruling by the Supreme Court urging him to get congressional approval first.
Gibbs;filed the articles because he was prompted by Bidens debacle in Afghanistan.

Watch: Republicans Demand More Impeachment Witnesses, When Clinton Was On Trial | MSNBC
Wednesdays opening argument exposed a president who gleefully ratcheted up his acid rhetoric to the point of violent insurrection, and a Republican Party mostly unwilling to face the terrible cost of their attempts to undermine the integrity of our recent election. The GOPs blindness isnt merely symbolic: When footage was played of rioters reading Trumps tweets through a megaphone, multiple Republicans turned away rather than accept what their party enabled. The impeachment prosecution means GOP senators can no longer feign ignorance.
Don’t Miss: States Voted Trump
Trump’s Iron Grip Loosens
With just a week left in his term, it now appears all but certain that Donald Trump will become the first president to be impeached twice.
Unlike his first go through the process, this vote will have the support of at least a handful of Republicans – including Liz Cheney, a member of the party’s House leadership team. There is also, unlike January 2020, a chance the Senate has enough votes to successfully convict the president. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s recent signals of approval are evidence of that.
Of course, the primary consequence of Senate conviction – removal from office – seems of limited relevance with so little time left in the Trump presidency. Democrats, however, view impeachment as a formal way of marking their outrage at the president’s behaviour, not just last week, but during his months of challenging and undermining November’s election results.
A successful conviction could also result in Trump’s being banned from ever holding federal public office again and stripped of the privileges enjoyed by ex-presidents.
That prospect alone, in the minds of Democrats , makes impeachment worth the effort.
Ways President Trump’s 2nd Impeachment Will Change Washington
The Wyoming GOP issued a lengthy statement early Thursday lambasting Cheney. The party alleges it has received harsh comments from its members, saying, “Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time.”
Those comments accused Cheney of aligning herself with “the Beltway elites” and “with leftists.”
The organization said, “We as a Party respect our elected officials and assume that they will respect and represent their constituents. We are receiving the message loud and clear that what happened yesterday is a true travesty for Wyoming and the country.”
Cheney said her vote to impeach was one of conscience.
She said, “The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.”
New York, South Carolina weigh in
Katko and Rice were also slammed by their state’s conservative groups. So far, however, those organizations have yet to comment on whether they will continue to support the lawmakers through the end of their terms.
The Conservative Party of New York State said the organization was “very disappointed” in Katko’s vote in favor of impeachment.
“We consider his action ill-informed. It will do nothing to end the national divide and will likely further aggravate it.”

Republican Enthusiasm For Second Trump Term Lags As Impeachment Trial Nears End
By David Morgan
3 Min Read
WASHINGTON – Senate Republicans, while likely to acquit former President Donald Trump at his impeachment trial, showed little enthusiasm this week for a possible second White House bid in 2024 after reliving his supporters deadly storming of the U.S. Capitol.
Following days of graphic videos of the melee presented by House managers, Republicans expressed concern about his post-election behavior, including his repeated false claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him – even as they insisted that his trial on a charge of inciting insurrection is unconstitutional.
Trump, the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice, could run for another term in 2024 unless the Senate votes to bar him from future office, an unlikely feat.
But the prosecution case by nine Democrats from the House of Representatives stirred painful memories of Jan. 6, when violent Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, interrupting Congress as it worked to certify President Joe Bidens victory and forcing lawmakers to flee. Five people died.
A Senate Republican aide on Friday said as many as 10 out of 50 Republicans could vote to convict the former president, more than the six who voted that the trial was constitutional, but still short of the 17 Republicans who would need to join Democrats for a conviction to stick in the 100-seat chamber.
Let me decide if hes guilty or not, Cassidy told reporters when asked if he could vote for Trump again.
Bill Clinton: Impeached In 1998

President Clinton walking to the podium to deliver a short statement on the impeachment inquiry, apologizing to the country for his conduct in the Monica Lewinsky affair and that he would accept a congressional censure or rebuke.
J. Scott Applewhite/AP Photo
Clinton was plagued by legal troubles and scandals from the moment he entered the White House. In 1993, Clinton and his First Lady, Hillary, were the subject of a Justice Department investigation into the so-called Whitewater controversy, a botched business deal from their days in Arkansas. And in 1994, Clinton was sued for sexual harassment by Paula Jones, who claimed Clinton exposed himself to her in a hotel room in 1991.
Interestingly, it was a combination of both legal cases that would ultimately lead to Clintons impeachment. Independent counsel Kenneth Starr was appointed by the Justice Department to investigate the Whitewater affair, but he couldnt find any impeachable evidence. Meanwhile, lawyers for Jones got a tip that Clinton had an affair with a 21-year-old White House intern named Monica Lewinsky, a claim that both Lewinsky and Clinton denied under oath.
When the story went public, Clinton was forced to address the accusations on national television.
I want you to listen to me, Clinton famously said. I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time, never.

The truth is, Trump fatigue is a condition that knows no party, and many Republicans are as tired of this shit as anybody else. Thats not to say theyre outraged, or motivated to Make a Difference. Theyre just tired. You can live inside the right-wing bubble in a state of depression, resigned to the fact that, yeah, every five minutes or so, the president is probably going to do something norm-shattering or potentially impeachable, and no, you probably wont or cant do anything to change that. Sad!
Im totally bored by the story, one person who speaks regularly with the president told me. Theres nothing to it. I already know all the details. This person is bored more generally, too with the topic of Donald Trump. When we talk about what it would take for the presidents defenders to turn on him, this crucial piece is missing: You cant feel outraged if you can no longer feel anything at all.
If you were to turn on Fox News, this is what you would hear. I called up Newt Gingrich the other day, and it was like he was just reading directly from these emails, which suggest a strategy of partisan bullying and obfuscation. In other words, no real counterargument or legal defense to speak of.

House Manager Uses The Words Of Republicans Against Trump
The House impeachment managers presented senators with videos of their colleagues fleeing a pro-Trump mob, which breached the US Capitol shouting “stop the steal.” They showed the rioters searching for then-Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and rummaging through the senators’ desks on the chamber floor.

1)this fandom turned to be disturbing yall only care about shinee sexual orientation and gender when its not of anyone's business. you spend all ur time on fighting over their personal matters instead of enjoying their music and what they give us. both sides acting like what they say is confirmed facts nd when one of shinee say random names or look at someone you act like they want to have sex with them nd yall act that the only attraction is sexual or romantic
2)the side that gets angry of the possibility that shinee are queer is homophobic nd not all idols has to be cis. the side that gets angry at the possibility that shinee might be like girls is weird coz we don't know these idols in real life no matter what they say or share with us
3) as an pan-aro nd part of lgbt its lowkey skeevy for me that shawols are painting shinee as lgbt icons when they only did basic decent things but in no way they r lgbt icons. yall literally could be calling a hetero guys an lgbt icons. I get wanting to connect more with them nd wanting representation but its not like this. actual lgbt people get killed nd a lots of lgbt people are fighting for our rights with little support bc we r looking in representation somewhere else we r not sure about
4) and please don't start with the closet talk bc I know how dangerous for an idol to come out but the idols u think they r queer might not be queer in the first place and if they were we have no right to want to them out too, at the end we don't know their sexualities. what am I saying is both opinions should be treated as headcanons not as confirmed facts nd this whole issue shouldn't have got that big. also neurodivergent idols headcanons should be respected too
tbh i dont even know what ur..trying 2 say by this?? i dont understand how youre like Yeah, Headcanons! but when ppl talk about headcanons ur like no...i didnt mean it like that... i mean it honestly baffles me how you reconcile these two things. if u respect ppls abilities to have headcanons youve also got to accept ppls ability to Talk about them as headcanons?? getting in discussions w ppl who say every idol Must be straight or cis isnt fighting w someone over shinees orientations Specifically, its fighting against the bigotry involved in this line of thinking. arguing w ppl who say “___ Msut be cishet” is not saying “_____ must not be cishet” its saying to question what motivates ppl to say the first thing. its not really About shinee exclusively bc its applicable to every single idol, and tbh every single person. its a discussion larger than any one particular person. i think this is an aspect that a lot of ppl miss.
also i truly dont know when ive ever acted like attraction can only be sexual or romantic bc i rly have not. talking about how queer idols Exist is not demanding idols be out. its acknowledging a reality that is hardly ever acknowledged. like. ignoring queerphobia is Not whats going to make it easier for idols to come out, discussing how queerphobia manifests in the idol industry is what will.
it really tires me when ppl pull out the U Spend All Ur Time Doing This, we’re all here for the music!! enough of that!! because while thats true, we all did become connected through shinee through music, a part of being an Active participant in fandom for many ppl is also like...talking about stuff besides their music. we’re here for their music but the Reason ppl blog about them and do shit like make gifs or edits or fics or what have u is bc they also care about the members themselves. their music is a given. i also like mamamoos music a whole ton, but i dont have a blog dedicated 2 mamamoo bc i am not As invested in the band members as i am in shinee. which isnt to say that every stan has to get involved w this specific discourse or even discourse in general, just that stans often Do get involved w non-musicy things in the process of stanning.
why is it that only queer headcanons are policed to this level...why is it only queer headcanons are met w Listen To Their Music Instead ! instead of the numerous other things ppl involved in fandom do that dont directly relate to their music. why dont u tell gif makers that theyre Too Obssesed w shinees faces and to go listen to their music instead. ppl do shit like “boyfriend imagines” for shinee which are 1000% unrelated to their music and tbh effectively function as Headcanons except youll never see ppl respond to that with Go Listen To Their Music Instead! while its not always (although it. often is lmfao) explicitly said, a lot of bf imagines are implicitly cishet and i feel like this is undoubtedly why those are accepted w/o word. bc ppl find being cishet ‘more polite’ and ‘less intrusive.’ when u make being queer a taboo to talk about (whilst simultaneously accepting anyone that talks about being cishet) u are basically saying that it is more acceptable to be cishet, while being queer is something that ought to be kept private. if ur truly adamant that this is about not spending enough time enjoying shinees music, then id like 2 see u come at every single other thing in fandom that has nothing to do w music. every time you see someone say “hey jonghyun would make a great bf” remind that person they shldnt care about something like that and shld instead be supporting shinees music. in any case, you ought to examine what makes u think that someone being queer is taboo to speak of while not rallying against statements like ‘he would be a great bf 2 his girlfriend.’
anyway i agree that ultimately what people are doing is making. headcanons. ive always agreed w this fact? this is a thing i continually say?? its why im not out there to Objectively Prove that jonghyun is gay or bi or whatever. the reason people respond to statements like ‘no jonghyun is not gay hes a straightie hetero’ with ‘no ur wrong’ bc the first statement is one that is Constantly enforced by society and it just functions as a way 2 shut down queer voices and reassert the heterosexual default present Everywhere. society treats straight as the absolute default. this is why straight “Headcanons” arent treated as well lmao... headcanons. theres rly no reason for anyone out there 2 headcanon something as straight?? when its the Assumed Sexuality in every situation?? tbh the only reason ppl are interested in doing that is Denying that idols might not be straight. doing this when ppl are Forced 2 be straight is gross. theres a difference between queer ppl saying Hey, remember not all idols are straight so lets talk about that and straight ppl being all No! ur wrong! he cant be anything but straight so shut up! these two things are coming from different perspectives.
like. imagine a pie being sliced up. historically, a 100% of this pie has been given to straight people. when queer ppl speak up, theyre trying to take some of their fair share of this pie. saying Hey, queer ppl exist!! is trying to section urself out a piece of the pie when youve been given none. someone saying Nope!! theyre all definitely straight is stealing back the measly slices someone has Actively Fought to obtain and attempting to perpetuate this imbalance.
im not rly here for ppl painting shinee as lgbt icons. ive expressed how annoying i find statements like ‘king of the gays’ or whatever to be. but also just. saying that anyone in shinee might be lgbtq is not painting them as an lgbtq icon?? its just stating a fact?? esp since a lot of the King of The Gays ! stuff seems to come from ppl who position him as a Amazing Cishet Ally so. idek buddy i feel like youve got to further think through some of your positions bc some seem to be in direct conflict with others.
#long post#i am unable to be concise literally ever#but anyway my dude. how can u accept that headcanons are okay but also expect ppl to like..never talking about them...#i agree all headcanons should be respected but this sort of requires ppl being allowed to talk about their headcanons u know ?#i truly feel like youve got 2 work through some of this stuff and think it through#ppl talking about headcanons doesnt mean they dont care about other things#i definitely do#its just that the only thing im Interrogated on is headcanons and im a rather long winded person so ill answer as such#while im a Discourse Prone person and i discourse a lot of this#(mostly- like i said earlier abt- whats going on Conceptually bc Thats the most important thing here its not a shinee exclusive subject)#but someone could hold the same opinions i do w/o necessarily discoursing about them (and i kno ppl that are like that in fact)#anon#ask

imma say it again binch : / but abuse is a cycle that continues on and on passing down thru generations. people who have been hurt become victim to cycles of abuse because they want to feel they have power so that they arent hurt again. I believe that you might be subject to this because you havent faced your inner trauma :c its one thing to recognize cycles of abuse but its another to actively pursue change in behavior . cycles of abuse and neglect also produce people who dont know how to handle emotions when theyre upset in ways that can be hurtful to themselves ,others, or both :c also i dont know how true this statement is but i usually think about it when i have an issue with someone but what we dislike in others is sometimes a reflection of what we think about ourselves, which is why it upsets us so much :c one things for sure i feel like you should not continue to see him but like think about it for the sake of his feelings :c because abuse stains and you might find immediate joy in it or satisfaction but that shit can stick with someone for the rest of their life :c also i remember you use to always get really mad at michael for not going to therapy and stuff :c but like i was saying earlier that things we dislike in people are sometimes a reflection of how we feel about ourselves and i know you always say stuff like "im self destructive " and things of that sort but its one thing to recognize but to actually follow thru a plan of action is another :c also i feel you might be asking michael to isolate himself from his friends because you dont want his friends to recognize your manipulation so that you dont have it thrown in your face by him bc it would make you face it :c also another reason why i think you havent faced ur trauma is how u always are so quick to jump into a relationship and not be alone :C and i also recognized this in myself but how i always pursue a new hobby or fill up my schedule with 3 million things to do so i dont have to sit and think about whats going on inside but we are doing a disservice to ourself and our beings because we are our own medicine monica , we are exactly what we need and no amount or bullshit we fill up our days or our bonchginas, or friends we have is going to ever fill that void until we recognize that. When we are use to being hurt and living in a stressful environment even when free of those things we self sabotage because we are use to that feeling of stress everyday that we think that should be the norm. just like abuse can be passed thru generations SO CAN HEALING. we can heal and change and we always have access to this and especially in how privileged we are with papers and a place to go to school where we get free counseling and resources we have no other excuse than to recognize the only thing in our way is ourselves . also :C one can only be this way in secret without it leaching into your friendships and others close to you : / if anything i said comes across as too much just let me know so we can set a boundary but i mean it all out of love because i do want you to heal and find self love for yourself and be able to see the person that i know as monica and what an awesome fren she is :c

ive gone into detail why DEH is genuinely awful and morally repulsive, so im not gonna recap any of that, just read this post i made about it.
okay, so as anyone who reads theatre reviews knows, theatre critics really dont like musicals about teens that arent DEH for some reason?
common talking points include:
-the problems the characters face arent real
-if its a show about teens rebelling against authority figures (love in hate nation, the lightning thief, etc), they are "rebels without a cause", re: "their problems arent real"
-the characters arent compelling
-idk some boomer shit
why would every theatre critic collectively share these thoughts?
one thing to remember about the theatre world is that the main consumers have always been, and will always be, boomers. most of them are retired, so they have a ton of money and a ton of time on their hands to spend it. the theatre is perfect for this generation for those reasons, and is also (partially) why broadway tickets are so expensive. (i could use beetlejuice as a case study on an example where the opposite was true, but thats for a different time)
naturally, this leads to almost every theatre critic being a boomer. ill get back to this.
in the late 2010s, more young people started coming to the theatre, around the same time the hamilton fandom came into existence. with this new audience, more shows that boomers normally wouldnt like began becoming successful, thanks to young people. shows like be more chill, beetlejuice, six, love in hate nation, the lightning thief, the prom, and others got a lot of revenue and free advertising from young people, all but one of the named shows making it to broadway. obviously, the success of these shows isnt entirely thanks to young people, but we had a large part in it.
what do all these shows have in common? well, they all have more contemporary soundtracks (except for half of the prom), have messages that resonate with our generation, and most of them have young protagonists, and if they dont, they have characters young people can see themselves in (like every single queen in six).
oh, and theatre critics hate them all. (actually, im not sure about the prom or six, i havent seen a review for either, someone let me know what theatre critics think of those)
now, with all that information, the reason theatre critics hate them is very obvious: those shows arent for them. (insert that snl gif of cecily strong saying "ITS NOT FOR YOU")
shows about teenagers revolting against authority figures are for the teenagers, and the critics hate them because they are the authority figures the teenage characters are rebelling against. they dont think their problems are real because they cant relate to them, which is also why they call the characters "rebels without a cause."
theatre critics hate shows for young people for the same for the same reason men hate birds of prey. theyre so accustomed to consuming stories made for them that they get whiplash when they find a story thats not, and they hate it because they think every story should be for them.
if there were more younger theatre critics, this wouldnt be a problem, but young people are too busy trying to not be broke to professionally critique shows too expensive to even watch, for a living.
okay, so why do theatre critics love DEH, then?
well. DEH makes no attempt to challenge any authority figure, rather featuring a teen protagonist who creates his own problems. DEH makes statements on mental health about as educated as any boomer watching (which is to say, not educated in mental health at all). almost half of the characters in DEH are parents who "make some mistakes" but at the end of the day are portrayed as loving and well-meaning, and are given all the compassion they really dont deserve (as in, it features parents treated the same way boomers wish their kids would treat them).
DEH is loved by critics because DEH caters to the parents who dont know why their kids hate them, and because the story refuses to challenge any ideals the older, more conservative audience members may hold, instead choosing to give any boomer in the audience a generous blowjob, while spitting in the face of any young person in the audience who might see themselves in the young characters.
oh, and DEH says that abuse is fine and normal, which likely contributes to it.
this is a story about teens that is for the critics, which leads them to think that "this is what EVERY show about teens should be! this is the model!!!"
so when they come across the lightning thief, a show about kids hating their parents (and based on a book explicitly written for kids, neurodivergent kids, lgbt+ kids, victims of abuse and neglect, etc.), they hate it, and think "why cant the kids in this show be more like the kids in DEH? their problems arent even real!" without realizing that they are the people who create the problems young people have that are represented in the story.
to conclude, or TLDR: critics hate shows like the lightning thief and compare them to DEH because theyre boomers and the lightning thief makes them uncomfortable by having the protagonists call them out, while DEH is just a boomer-appreciation fest disguised as a story that gives young people a platform, which it isnt.
i figured out why theatre critics love DEH and say any other musical about Teens is unworthy trash someone reblog and ask me why

My Top 7 RPG Series That Aren’t Final Fantasy
It’s no real secret that I love the Final Fantasy games! I mean, the first game that I finished on stream was Final Fantasy VIII. Final Fantasy Tactics is my third favourite game of all time as well. But, let’s all be honest; the series gets discussed so much that it really does overshadow other RPG series out there.
After all, there is a metric tonne of RPGs out in the wild for you to enjoy. So, for today’s post, I wanted to put the spotlight on my top 7 RPG series that aren’t Final Fantasy! So, let’s get to it, shall we?
7. Chrono
We are going to start off this list with another Square series; the Chrono games. Now, I was torn between whether to put Star Ocean, Valkyria Chronicles or the Chrono games here… However, I didn’t really enjoy the newer Star Ocean games, and whilst Valkyria Chronicles was amazing, the series quickly went downhill (and I haven’t played the newest one yet). So, when I actually thought about the fact that we are looking at the series as a whole, the Chrono games come out on top.
Chrono Trigger is well known for being one of the best RPGs ever made, whilst Chrono Cross generally doesn’t get anywhere near enough love. These two games are both masterpieces in their own right, with deep and confusing storylines, plus great combat. Personally, I prefer Chrono Cross myself, but I am more than willing to admit that I am weird.
6. The Forgotten Realms
Next up, we have the Forgotten Realms series of games. This series includes but is not limited to Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale. All of the games are great Dungeons and Dragons video games by themselves, but when you add them together and look at the campaign setting, they are even better! The alignment system is brilliantly implemented, and the combat feels amazing unique.
The stories, which are incredibly important for any RPG, are well presented as well. There are certainly a few negative points, and some of the games will test your patience with the sheer amount of character customisation as you progress, but I love them all the same!
5. Lunar
Another series that is very close to my heart is the Lunar series of games. The series started out on the MegaCD with Lunar: The Silver Star, before getting a sequel called Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. These games were then loving remastered and ported to the PlayStation, which is where I first experienced them. These versions were called Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. Since then, the games have been remastered and ported multiple times, showing just how beloved the games really are.
The animated cutscenes and voice acting help to bring the characters to life, and whilst the older versions of the game were certainly challenging, you would find yourself so enthralled that you would just keep trying. There’s also a decent splash of humour in the games as well, to make sure that it isn’t always dark in tone.
4. Dot Hack
Anime is incredibly popular; that is a pretty redundant statement these days. However, when I was growing up that wasn’t really the case. Instead, anime was something that you were bullied for enjoying. This was also true during my teenage years as well, so when I found the anime .hack//SIGN and really enjoyed it, I didn’t really mention it to anyone. That’s a shame really, because I probably could have gotten more people to both watch the anime and then play the first set of PS2 games.
These games are pseudo-MMORPGs. You can “log in” to the game to play, or “log out” and read emails from other “players” or chat with them on a forum. The developers did an amazing job at creating the world around the MMO featured in the game, as well as making the pseudo-MMO portions of the game feel realistic too. The combat is simple to pick up but takes time to master, and the trade system with other “players” is genius. Admittedly, the game’s levels aren’t much to look at in terms of beauty and uniqueness, but everything else in the games makes up for that!
3. Wild Arms
When I was a kid, if you had told me that a J-RPG series that mixes demons, magic and Spaghetti Westerns together would end up being one of my favourites, I would have laughed so hard you’d think I was crazy. Yet, here we are, talking about Wild Arms. The first time I played Wild Arms was shortly after completing Final Fantasy VII for the first time. I was looking for my next big J-RPG to sink my teeth into and spotted it on a shelf in Blockbusters. It looked intriguing, and since it was a rental, I was more than happy to give the game a try.
Since that day, I’ve played the large majority of the Wild Arms games, were 2nd Ignition being my favourite in the series. Sadly, the Wild Arms games never really sold well in the States or Europe, meaning that the series effectively died (with the exception of the recent Mobile game). This means that the games can be pretty expensive these days. However, I would definitely say that they are worth it!
2. Megami Tensei
The penultimate entry in this of a great RPG series that aren’t Final Fantasy has to go Megami Tensei. I recently said on Twitter that I rate Megami Tensei and Final Fantasy at the same level in terms of my “RPG love”. Both series are absolutely massive, with Megami Tensei featuring all sorts of takes on the RPG gameplay. The most famous sub-series of Megami Tensei is the Persona games. Persona 3, 4 and 5 launched Megami Tensei into the limelight far more.
However, I still prefer the original PlayStation Persona games, as well as Lucifer’s Call on the PS2. But you know what? The greatest thing about Megami Tensei is the developers were always finding new ways to add customised designs and a wonderful look & feel. This style and design of Megami Tensei games have become synonymous with the series, showing how much the developers care about the franchise as a whole.
1. Shadow Hearts
And so we come to the final entry in tonight list; the Shadow Hearts games. These are some of the darkest RPG make in history, dealing with loss, suicide and much more. The games, despite their comical nature, can create some really dark and lasting memories. There are so many events in the games that will forever be stuck in my head, like the tale of Li Li or the way in which Shadow Hearts 2 ends.
Starting with my favourite game of all time, Koudelka, the series hits the ground running when it comes to dealing with dark tones. From there, with the first Shadow Hearts, your very first town that you reach turns out to be run by a bunch of cannibals who then switch into being demons. Oh, and the opening video is incredibly violent, with soldiers getting sliced apart and the hero getting his arm cut off but reattaching it. So yeah, Shadow Hearts is definitely one of the darkest yet strangely comical RPG series I have played.
But that’s not all. The characters are all really well developed and the story is surprisingly good. The translation of the first game isn’t great, as to be expected, and the graphics haven’t really held up well, but the series overall is most certainly worth your time.
And That’s All Folks
Those were my top 7 RPG series that aren’t Final Fantasy. The top 2 of them might have been obvious for those who have read this for a while, but that’s only because both of the series deserved a lot more attention that they received.
What are your favourite RPG series? Let me know in the comments below!

THE SHIT SHOW CALLED TELEPHONE - oh and we all have one, or two or more.
I just researched the music video titled “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio. Originally, I was searching for LYRICS, but then since my search lacked “lyrics” I in turn, got the results for the video’s general information, vague, specific, all meets order and chaos. So, one of the first links that were clickable, was the usual Wikipedia which is sometimes often very helpful indeed, but also cowritten and authored by all of you and i and me and us and they.
I proceed and clicked the Wikipedia link.
In the beginning I read more praise concerning the accomplishments related to awards, approval ratings, numbers, and even some feedback.
However, I found this passage, which is pictured AND highlighted above, VERY uncomfortable and even a little disturbing because of the language used and even the inaccuracies. Who “disected” Coolio’s mind and did they READ his lyrics and LISTEN to the song? Do they know about HISTORY and what has happened to Black and African American people? do they know that some and most populations have been enslaved?
LIFE IS STRUGGLE.
If youre in debt, it’s harder to get back on top, if it was or wasnt your fault, so who are you to judge or say what is. If you’re born into a system that may treat a women or a group like a beaten dog, and you’ve got a broken heart or a broken leg, might one who has been degraded feel entrapped by the exterior factors.... and why?.... because they can’t control those things? WHO ARE YOU TO SAY WHAT IS OR WHAT ISNT, WHAT WILL BE, and WHAT WAS BECAUSE WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE SOMEONE ELSE, BUT ONLY OURSELVES.
We only have our heart and our minds. Within ourselves.
Ourselves is who we are, and that’s who we ultimately have and that’s
what COOLIO is SINGING about.
P.S. EVERYONE HAS A LESSON TO TEACH. MICHELLE PFEIFFER PALYS THE WHITE SCHOOL TEACHER IN THE FILM TITLED DANGEROUS MINDS. SHE LEARNS FROM AND BY THE KIDS, AND THEY DO AS WELL FROM HER.
HOWEVER, IN COOLIO’s MUSIC VIDEO, THERE IS STILL THIS CONNECTION, BUT THE EMPHASIS THE POINT THE DOMINANT LEADING FACTOR is COOLIO’s ABILITY TO OFFER AND GIVE A LESSON FOR MICHELLE PFEIFFER’s CHARACTER TOO. HE IS IN A WAY, SCHOOLING HER SO SHE UNDERSTANDS IT’S REAL, despite PFEIFFERS character not being nearly or maybe ever as familiar as COOLIOS HARSH BUT HOPEFUL REALITY.
The point is that both these two individual characters have something in common, theres a similarity that runs between them, and thats a common denominator. It may be pain from life or being put down, but theres the same vein that runs in and between both of them. Call it heart, Call it a mind hopefully right, call it a vein, call it blood, maybe soul.
ALSO, LISTEN TO THE GOSPEL MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND. THE GOSPIL SPIN IS A LIGHTNING STAR, THAT’s DOMINANT, THATS UPLIFTING, THATS HOPEFUL. which leads me to.........
............
Random author on Wikipedia’s 1st and foremost statement:
Coolio begins by reflecting on his life in a Biblical fashion: that his partaking in hoodlum activities has drained him of hope, and his damaged relationship with his mother.
COUGH COUGH NO.
He’s making a reference perhaps to his beliefs too. his moral convictions.
He’s not perfect, and no one really is.
He’s praying and hoping for a better day.
The bible isnt just a story, it’s also a metaphor.
Gangsta’s paradise....... LIFE IS A JUNGLE, some have it easier, some have it harder,
Coolio echoes, sings, and howls, “Tell me WHY are we so blind to see that the ones we hurt are you and me?”
This is a very Universal and micro problem.
He searching cuz what’s going on is not okay and dandy. He has to keep living to search, but staying alive, is damn hard enough, because theres a cage around, and there’s a brokenness inside the system.
Random author on Wikipedia:
“the narrative turns at this point with Coolio threatening rival gangs with certain death in the event that they take verbal liberties or transgress into his territory.”
WOW Did this person watch too much Herzog.... “certain death.” ?????
“transgress into his territory?” is random author on wikipedia saying a human is an animal? and if there are territorial habits, i wonder why? what came before now?
Random author on Wikipedia:
“subsequently educates the listener on the history behind his current position in society; explaining the way in which his upbringing has entrapped him by creating his lust for power, money and murder. “
ME/ ALLI:
Is LUST REALLY THE CORRECT WORD in this case?
Im pretty sure everyone needs money to survive and in some areas the income to the jobs arent as good or arent so common.
AND WHO WOULD REALLY LUST FOR MURDER, IT’s DEFINITELY NOT GOING ON IN THIS SONG, and if there is a murder maniac person, they have something going on inside, it’s not LUST.
Random author on Wikipedia:
“It is at this point that he acknowledges the uncertainty of his survival on the street. Coolio therefore begins to lament the cyclical nature of the violence in which he partakes, as well as elucidating the collective chaos created by individual greed, selfishness and a lack of education or role models.”
ME/ ALLI:
not even going to waste my time on this wreck of a paragraph. If one will try to use big vocabulary words to prove a point or to heighten their stance comparatively, it’s useful and beneficial to use the voabulary in the correct context and order, or youre just a bastard.
the individual greed: started way back before COOLIO not from Coolio and he def doesnt have “greed” in the song
Selfishness: he can be selfish because a) who are we to judge b) he only has himself right now c) being selfish doesnt always have to be bad
lack of education: He has a big eduacation, but maybe not the same one as you or her or he or them
Role models: where are the role models? Who are the rolde models? When are there or are these role models there? And why? and HOW? WHAT FOR? WHY?
How come?
Random author on Wikipedia writes/ states:
“He ends his personal journey on a hopeless admission: that his situation and surroundings will never improve.”
ME/ ALLI:
hopeless? Not sure how it’s hopeless when the gospel is running through the whole song. That’s a high.
ME/ ALLI:
IN CONCLUSION
in the words of THE Random author on Wikipedia: THE RANDOM AUTHOR ON WIKIPEDIA ends his personal journey on a hopeless admission: that his situation and surroundings will never improve.
And perhaps Random author on Wikipedia may be writing either with his own experiences, his own understanding, his prior stigmas of a Black and or African American Man, Person, or population, his HISTORY, his SYSTEM, his OWN COMPLEX that is infecting my own understanding of a truth, exaserbating an ongoing problem, adding negativity and fuel to a fire and spreading more hot dim heat to more minds, more eyes, more ideas, and just isnt really true.
BUT WHO AM I TO JUDGE?
I’ll KEEP ASKING MORE QUESTIONS. THANK YOU MAM. THANK YOU SIR. AND NO THANK YOU TOO.
AND I’m NOT SORRY. THANK YOU TO THAT.

PET MHA 1
Ari is sitting in the main big room, holding a pencil, hands twitching as she wrote quietly on the paper, she knew a new intake was coming today, she wanted to give them a warm welcome.
Era was doodling in a corner of the room, trying not to get it onto the walls. She stared, focused on the disturbing doodles. She was trying something new, 'draw the hallucinations you see.' Kind of like, something to help grasp onto what was real and what wasn't. She glanced up again for what might of been the 5000th time, staring at everyone else in the room
Ari slid out of her seat, walking over to Era and sitting next to her "what are you making?" She asked, smiling softly, messing with a tiny rock in her hand. She had smuggled it inside last time they were allowed to the backyard
Era stares at Ari, fidgeting in her place, before holding up her picture. It's some.. type of bird? Deformed bird? 'This is birdie.' is scrawled on the paper as well Ari smiled "are they nice?"
Era nods her head, murmuring a "yes."
Ari heard the door opened, Ami came in "Ari, Era dears, do you want to meet the new intake?" Ari jumped, ready to g o
Era decided not socializing wouldn't help anything, despite feeling uncomfortable at the thought of meeting others. She stood up with Ari as well, clutching her paper. She wonders what the new people will be like
Ari couldnt touch Era due to rules, but she hovered her hand near Eras waist, ready to pull her close if neccsary. The nurse led them out into the hall, in the hall were two boys, Vince and CM
CM leaned against the hall wall, listening to Vincent while he crossed his arms, "And so the general told me to go into the bunker-" CM interrupted, "And then you found the others fortified without you. I know, you told me the story millions of times." He grunted, Vincent sighed and combed his hand through his hair.
Ari waved at this guy, smiling "bonjour! Im Arianna!" She exclaimed "this is my best friend Era!"
Era waves at the two of them, giving a blank stare. She continues to hold her paper with her right hand
Vincent looked hopeful, "More survivors! Oh I'm so glad that the carrier was able to load in more units, I thought Colonel and I were the last batch making it to the hospital!" He said in glee, CM fixing his bandages on the left side of his face.
Ari played along, nodding "yep! I was terrified when shhhhstuf went down, i got Era and Spop out as fast as possible though"
Vincent waved over to CM, "Come Colonel! Do you recognize any of these soldiers? Were these any of yours?" CM sighed and got up from the wall and slouched over, staring at them, "Ah yes... they are..." He looked at their nametags, "Ari and Era... None of mine though." CM played along.
Era blinks, frowning. Soldiers? Survivors? Oh no, had the apocalypse started yet and she wasn't informed? That would be bad, really. What kind of apocalypse would it be? Maybe aliens finally invaded. That would prove everyone she was right about them. She's just staring off into nothing now, lost in thought, forgetting that other people were in the room
CM snapped his fingers, "Hey. Hey." He bent over closer, "There's nothing going on. I'm acting." He whispered, smiling and putting his index finger over his mouth, "Shh..."
Ari softly pinched Eras hand, wake up. "Oh, you guys arent in uniform yet, ill show you too it. Leader Amanda says its good for everyone to be in regular clothing, leaves our bodies light enough to train"
Era blinks, going out of her thoughts once the two of them got her out of it. Oh, okay. Aliens would invade someday, though. She was really sure of that. Oh, wait, did she need to say something? Maybe not.. she didn't have anything to say.. is that a bad thing? Ari's talking to them now, okay, she doesn't need to anymore
CM got up from his leaning position, directing his question to Ari, "So, what's wrong with you guys? I might as well ask to make sure anyone pulls a knife on us. Luckily I made myself a bodyguard, he gets annoying but he's alright."
Ari snickered "i wont hurt anyone. I just...see...things..." she trailed off, looking behind him "era is.. kind of...she just hallucinates i think.." "Schizophrenic." Era mutters, just loud enough for him to hear
He nodded, "Hallucinations are very popular in here, myself... I have DID. I might as well not say their names or they might want to meet you." He pointed over towards Vincent, "That guy has PTSD, he thinks he's in WW2. A real interesting guy."
Aris eyes widened "poor guy! Maybe he had a past life" she heard the DID statement, she looked at CM "id love to meet them. Ive met people with it before, its interesting"
CM glared at her, not menacingly, just curious. "You want to meet them? Well, one of them wont be able to come out because my camera is upstairs... I guess I could have Actor come out..." He muttered as he said Actor's name. He stepped back and took a breath, bowing and starting to say, "Act I... Prolouge... From ancient grudge break to new mutiny..." He began with a dull tone. CM suddenly paused mid sentence and put on a glorious expression as if he was on a spotlight, "Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes. A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whole misadventured piteous overthrows!" He cheered, boastfully ending his talk, bending over and shaking both Era and Ari's hands.
Era jerks her hand away almost immediately, stepping back a bit. Wait, oh no, was that rude? Oh no, she didn't mean to be rude, she just didn't want them to touch her, oh no. "Sorry-" She would of said more, explaining why she did it, but decided after one word that she didn't want to talk anymore and just stood next to Ari rather awkwardly
Ari jolted a bit. H i. "Oh, hi." She chuckled, shaking his hand "touch isnt allowed here just so you know..you said your name was Actor?" She smiled "Arianna, pleasure to meet you"
Actor bowed and apologized, "My mistake, M'Lady and Ser. Alot of people here are shy audiences... Only Vincent really enjoys my company..." He started to get down, then put on a happy smile again, "I'll take my intermission." Actor blinked, CM coming back again."He didnt touch you guys right? I swear if he did again..."
Ari laughed "its ok! I love contact, he can touch me, hand poke, hug, anythin. I dont care, Era doesnt like it though"
CM facepalmed, and heaved, "Can this guy remember the rules or what..."CM stepped back away and signaled Vincent with a snap, "Alright Vincent. Let's go. I better get back and find some new plastic cups, they always forget to give me some after room service." Vincent stood in attention and nodded his head, walking down the hall as CM walked behind him.
Spop was sitting in the common room. In her arms was a pig plushie that she clutched tightly, quietly muttering to it.
Ari decided now was a good time to- oh. Wait whats that. She starts following something only she can see, down the boy bedroom hall
Era blinks, now standing in the empty room. Uh. Okay. She looks around, before just, sitting down and going back to her drawing
-----
CM drunk from a plastic cup, surveying a dead outside with nothing but dark gloomy trees and muddy grass. Vincent sat down next to Spop, "Hello! How's Klondike? Did the nurse patch him up?"
Spop looked up at Vincent and her eyes sparkled. "Mhm! He is all better now!"Vincent's face lit up, "That's superb!" CM looked down at the two of them , "Vincent, did the nurse tell you anything about when your leaving?" He asked, Vincent shrugged, "She told me that I wont be out of care for another few years. You?"CM sighed, "I havent heard much..."
"The nurse says that I cant leave as long as I talk to Klondike"
"Actor may know, but he rarely wants to speak to me. Cammy just... changes the subject over to if I cleaned the lenses off my camera or not."
Spop tilted her head and her eyes lit up more when Actor was mentioned. Spop likes Actor
Ari walked into the room, she looked upset. "Hey guys" she muttered, "...did you guys know we're all broken and insane and nothing we think we see can be actually real and the only reason we're like this is because we're weaker then the rest of the population?"
CM looked up quickly, getting up and signaled her to zip her mouth. "I swear if you... yknow- I'll actually have Actor perform a death act. Those two cant handle something like that! And for a fact, Im stronger than alot of healthy people." Vincent looked up at CM, his eyes fearful, "That's not... true. Right General? Atleast for me? I'm a healthy guy... right?" He glared over at Ari in an intense stare, "What made you think..."
Ari looked..completely out of it. Her eyes were glazed over, mouth stuck in a tiny frown, she had probably just had her meds "nope! You arent healthy! No one here is!"she laughed
CM couldnt make out a reply, his heart felt shattered, "I-I'm healthy... just not mentally. I believe... the nurses wont tell me anything about my condition..." He looked over towards Vincent who looked petrified, CM quickly stepped over towards him, "Vincent. Go to your quarters. You are ordered to forget about this conversation. Take the pills the nurse put on your drawer"Vincent got up and gloomly shuffled his way out of the room, nervously holding onto himself. CM swiftly turned heel and walked back towards Ari, "Why."
Ari shook her head and laughed again "merly told me! He also told me that no one here actually exsists, im all alone in the solitude room, or dead" she looked puzzled for a second "im probably dead"
"Ari, think about it. Would you be able to feel this if you were dead." CM held one of Ari's hands, knowing it could land him in solitude. He took a deep breath, "If you still think you're dead, know this. Atleast you have people to talk to. Death would be pure darkness. If no one existed... well... you wouldnt be able to smell the roses and fresh cut grass in the gardens."
Ari froze when he grabbed her hand, her eyes kind of, unglazing, she looked confused, before she realized "oh..god, i, oh jeez- my meds always do that, its a side effect.." she panicked a bit, looking around..no nurses were nearby, she hugged CM in thanks, before quickly pulling back "did-did i say something bad? I didnt upset anyone did i..?"
CM looked at were Vincent left the room, "Vincent may have heard your little rampage. I told him to go upstairs and take those memory pills the nurse gave him. Just to make sure he's alright, I think we should see him." He spoke, still in his mind of how heartwarming it was to recieve a hug. Actor was shouting in his head about how CM could break the rules and he couldnt
Ari starts running to go find Vincent, probably peeking into his room "Vincey..?"
Ami the nurse walked into the common room, glaring at CM "..i saw that. Dont let it happen again. There are attachment boundaries here Cam. No touching"she growled
CM let out a small groan, rolling his eyes as she left the room. He trailed behind Ari.Vincent was laying down on his bed, hands folded together and his eyes looking up at the ceiling. He heard his nickname, turning his head towards the door and surprised to see Ari. "Oh! Ari! Hey, what's up..." The glass of water next to him was empty and the pill bottle was open.
Ari decided not to mention it, instead putting on a smile "oh, nothing. Just checking on you. CM said you came up here. I wanted tp see if we could hang out!" She goes into his room and sits on the side of his bed, casually taking the pill bottle and reading what it does
He sat up in the bed, he gladly accepted the invitation. "That'll be great! What time is it? Wow, 4:36? I thought the clock was 12:23 when I looked at it a little bit ago." CM came in and sighed in relief, pulling up a chair towards the bed and sat with the others.
The pill bottle had information about erasing memory from 5-4 hours earlier after taking the pill.
Ari stared at it, before cracking a smile, slipping a pill up her sleeve and into a tiny pocket she had bitten into the fluff, before putting the pill bottle down Ari smiled softly, ruffling her friends hair "you mustve fallen asleep. Do you wanna talk about strategies orr, can me or CM tell a story?"
He nodded his head, "I'd love to hear your guys' stories for once!" CM looking at the clock and knew they werent supposed to be here at this time...
Ari nodded and clapped her hands together, about to start, before she seemed to see something, her body freezing up.
CM noticed her freezing up, glancing up at her and tried to see whatever she's seeing. He looked back at her and gave her hand a quick tap, and whispered, "Psst."
Vincent looked behind himself, "Ari?"
Ari pulled back when he touched her. Whatever shes seeing, it aint good. Shes shaking.
CM fully turned to her, "Hey. Remember what therapy told you. Generalize the situation. Calm down. And tell me what you see."
Ari didnt answer, shes starting to cry
"I- they-" she looked at CM and forced back a scream, skittering backward "CM..? Are you-" hes bleeding oh my god..
---
Spop walked over to Era and put her chin on the couch next to Era. She stared at the drawing before smiling. "It looks pretty"
Era gives a ghost of a smile, nodding a "thanks." to Spop
Spop giggled
She pauses in the drawing for a moment, glancing up, before adding something to it "how are you.." It seemed more like a statement then a question, but oh well
"I'm good. you?"
"mmm.." Era looks up again, focusing on something, before replying "fine."
Spop sighed and walked off to find someone else to talk to. It was clear Era had other things to do. Not like Era trusted her
Era brings her gaze over to Spop, staring as she started to walk off, "wait-" Oh, no, well what does she say now. She really did want to talk more, the silence was beginning to become suffocating "uhm. hows klondike?" Okay, tack on that
Spop turned around and looked at Era. "Klondike doing well. The lady in green came and fixed him right up!"
"oh, that's good. the nurses are always really nice, right?"
"Uh huh, though rumor has it" She leaned in close to Era "One of em isn't a human"
Era's eyes widen "oh! i bet it's the one with the messy bun, right? she always acted weird, weird, weird.. secretive!"
"I bet it's the one who runs this place. The black man"
Era thinks for a moment "that seems like it'd be true, too. there's a lot of evidence for it.. i haven't seen much people notice though.."
Speaking of the 'blonde man' Charles walks into the room "hello girls!" He smiled "im sorry ive been on the adult side all day, was group today enjoyable?"
Spop looked at Charles and squinted her eyes. "It was"
Era looks over at him, her face going back to being a blank stare "i think it was nice."
He nodded "perfect! Anywho, its about 5 minutes from dinnertime, you hungry?"
Era nods, slightly eager. Food was always nice, especially when she wanted to be distracted
Spop nodded and ran off to get Klondike
Charles clapped his hands together, going to go find the other three patients
---
CM holds her name, shaking it slightly. "Hey. Come back to us. Ari. Snap out of it. We're here!" Vincent sat there, quiet. He doesnt know what to do. He looks hopelessly towards CM.
Ari blinked a few times, it wasnt going away "CM.." she whined, grabbing his arm. This was normal uh
CM heard footsteps coming towards their room, he doesnt know wether he should force Ari's grip off of him or just accept punishment.
Charles looked in the room, a confused look on his face when he looked in "..what is going on in here?!" He exclaimed, too late now
Ari doesnt really realize, girl is just cryin dont mind her
CM yelped at the sight of him at the door, freezing. Vincent saw the man and closed his mouth, 'Umm.. he um. Ari- er."
Charles went over and pulled CMs arm away from Ari, proceeding to carefully inject something into the frozen girls arm, before turning back to CM "three touches. In one day, CM, give me one reason i shouldnt put you on watch."
"They were all for good reasons. I swear. Please dont put me in solitude." He winced at the word of him having three touches in ONE day. Getting up quickly and kept out of the proximity of the other two.
Charles sighed, idiot boy. He looked at Vincent "go head to dinner with the others, Ari will join you later, you too cm."
Vincent got up from the bed, CM motioned him to speed up. They both left the room, quiet muttering fell behind them.

This Eating Disorder Awareness Campaign Boycotts The ‘Before’ Photo
This is how you make a statement.
Recently, some Instagram consumers took on the before and after photos the phenomenon where people post likeness of their bodies from once they are dealing with an anorexia nervosa and then pictures of them after they recovered through a hashtag campaign called #BoycottTheBefore. The uprights boast a blacked out before epitome as a acces to make it clear that appearance analogies arent always reflective of a healthy form and mind.
The campaign is meant to address the provoking quality of the photos for those regaining from an eating disorder. It generated by Lexie Louise, A 21 -year-old body postivie blogger, in mid-February after investigating her own personal before-and-after convalescence photos. She realized that they were able prompting for others who may also be dealing with an anorexia nervosa or send the incorrect meaning about what the condition actually looks like.
#BoycottTheBefore I have an clause that will be published on the sister website of @neda soon that explores this in more detailed information. I’ll share it when it’s posted but is intended to share some now. (( I don’t is planned to reproach all those who had shared their recuperation photos. I’d like to offer different perspectives because it’s important to open the conversation rather than usurp everyone is on board. I hope those who disagree can speak kindly and non-judgmentally in return .)) For those in early convalescence especially, our eating disorders can persuasion us to compare digits or sizes, or even see us inquiry, “Am I sick enough to receive assist? Because such person or persons seems to need it more than me”. That are very significantly destructive when it comes to this. These photos likewise solely picture physical emergence. It is a huge fallacy still that those who have eating disorder must be physically underweight to be considered striving. It reinforces a misconception that “youre seeing” who is struggling. The true is: we aren’t telling the whole story through these photos, even with our captions. “Theres” beings in retrieval who don’t seem comfy sharing their photos at all. And there are also beings in retrieval who simply cannot relate to having any offending physical changes. Overall, though those of us who can share these photos are praised for sharing them and may be creating short term change, “were about” feeding into the errors of eating disorders and unhappily not building area to compose real, long term change. So gives fight back. I encourage “youve got to” responsibly share your recuperation narrative this NEDA awareness week if “youre feeling” cozy doing so. I also support “youve got to” taken into account in other beings those in recuperation and those whom we are trying to educate. And I foster you to use the photo depicted on the left as your before photo if you want to support this project. We are so much more than comparison photos. We are strong, resilient fighters and we will go against the grain and continue to fight to be seen and listen even if that represents not receiving instantaneous validation. Like convalescence, change takes time; it is a wander but it is possible .

Posting these analogy photos is facilitating the idea that you can see everyone else who has eating disorder, she wrote in an Instagram caption following removing the personas. It is also allowing the competition among those struggling with designs like, well, Im not sick enough to get help because I dont look like that.
Since she started the campaign, the hashtag has taken off with more than 1,000 submissions. Model Iskra Lawrence, who has been open about her own retrieval from an eating disorder, shared her own boycott photo.
( This upright is seeing Eating disorder& recuperation NOT the fitness industry/ or weight loss). Please read before delivering judgement as this is NOT me telling you NOT to post before and afters or lessening the achievements and accomplishments of those who are proud of their excursions. I adore verifying people celebrating how far they’ve come and altogether get why( myself included) choose to berth before and afters . . But let’s open the discussion ….. # BoycottTheBefore was started by @soworthsaving and I’m so proud to be part of this movement . . I myself have seemed the pressure to post before and after pics to validate that I too stood … but that’s absolutely no truth to the rumors. We do not need to prove that we fought, we do not need to feel like anyone may have fought more or less because maybe there before and after photos aren’t as “dramatic”. It’s not even about that, it’s ever about how far you’ve succeeded so @boycottthebefore is here to celebrate YOU right now! To celebrate how far you’ve come and maybe how far you still have to go – there is no perfect convalescence& everyones is totally unique . . I do however want to say I’m not against posting before and afters, I have done so too and will be keeping them up. Nonetheless this is also a really great letter and I hope to see lots of of you labelling me in your pics( I’ve shared pics of the individuals who labelled me precisely swipe to discover )… I’m forever inspired by the convalescence& bopo local communities and I’m grateful for every single person who empowers one another and shares their beautiful unique provoke with us all . . To read @soworthsaving blog post about such movements going to see @neda or http :// proud2bme. org/ material/ eating-disorder-comparison-photos-boycott #NEDA #everyBODYisbeautiful( bikini is @aerie) No makeup no retouching #aeriereal

Sharing a’ before'( frequently dangerously underweight and makes surprise and sneer in numerous) against the’ after'( frequently a healthier heavines and probably smiling) is something commonly occurring on ED awareness week. This is only demonstrating a physical change and one that feeds into the underweight form stereotype( and for those who have suffered that never have been underweight, where does that leave them ?) I’m not going to put a’ before’ picture of myself on that may trigger others or potentially realise others feel like their eating disorder is less valid. My own anorexia nervosa would cherish me to post one, for some means of validation/ reassurance and proof to others that’ hey ogle yes I was dangerously ill and here is your proof now you have to believe me by this to justify whatever notion you have about someone with anorexia’ NO. I have nothing toprove to anyone. Trying to spread the word of eating disorder being an internal combat and illness of the attention but posting photos reinforcing the opposite? It isn’t a competition( whatever your anorexia nervosa “re saying” ). Telling people how you exerted x amount and weighed xlbs and subsisted on simply x a epoch does not educate people on this mental illness. I don’t is intended to be buttressing this stigma that so people are trying so hard to break away from. Boycott the before. #boycottthebefore #nedaweek #eatingdisorderawareness #recovery #mentalhealth #educate #youarenotyourmentalillness

A few weeks ago I quietly started a travel of genuine person credence. I haven’t opened up to anyone about it until now. I was tired of being haunted with a weight loss aim, telling food pass my life, and always having what I’m ingesting or when I will reach my occult weight loss point digit on my sentiment. It was becoming an preoccupation, and it had to stop. I went into it with my whole centre. Done weighing myself, but still snacking as health as I can, working out on a regular basis, and not beating myself up over every cookie that I have. It’s is an element of “the worlds largest” humbling events of my life and I’ve never appeared more confident and beautiful. As a nutrition student the most valuable lesson that I’ve learned is that we are more than exactly a number. As long as you live a health life overall, that’s all that matters. Being scrawny does not mean being healthy. Health comes in all shapes and sizes! So on the working day, you will never interpret another before and after visualize or weight loss post from me. My before is just as remarkable as my after. Too I will never facilitate anyone “lose weight” again. However if you are truly interested in improving your Health and getting HEALTHY, I’ve got your back! Contact me. Weight loss will probably be a bonus from that, but I will no longer spur contacting one count, that number does not define who you are. Stay healthy. Stay beautiful. Stay what you are. #boycottthebefore @boycottthebefore #loveyourself #loveyourbody #bodypositive

An reckoned 30 million peoplehave an anorexia nervosa in the U.S. Devouring ailments have thehighest mortality rate of any mental illness radical, in agreement with the National Association of Anorexia nervosa and Associated Disorders.
This careening happening is farther proof that they need to be taken seriously. One way to do that is to increase public awareness, which can send the meaning that the condition is manageable with care. Thats why social media crusades like #BoycottTheBefore are so vital: They highlight recovery over everything else.
I am in retrieval. I am living again. I am thriving, Lousie wrote on Instagram. And I dont have to prove that I was sick by showing you my body.

The latest rant:
A common picture of the Republican Party is that of a cabal of big-money plutocrats, rubbing their hands gleefully as they kick starving children into the cold and knock retirees over for the Social Security benefits while lighting cigars with $100 bills. And while this is useful as agitprop, it creates a divide in the discussion of serious issues. Granted, there are some on both sides of the aisle who are craven and corrupt, and unfortunately they also make the most noise. It also doesn't help that the top figures in the party -- trump and his staff (Spicer, Conway, et al), Ryan, and McConnell -- further this perception with their words and actions, but such is a topic for another day ... The thing is, though, almost all Republicans are working with the best of intentions. They honestly believe that their proposals and actions are in the best interest of the American people. So why is there such a gulf between Republican and Democrat, liberal and conservative, trump and normal people? My opinion? It comes down to a fundamental difference in how progress is measured. The Republican Party measures everything in terms of dollars and cents. This is fine as far as it goes -- it is a completely objective measure, with no wiggle room for interpretation. Something costs what it costs, and revenue is revenue, and the numbers are going to be the numbers whether you like them or not. As a result, for many things this is fine ... but there are aspects of the things the government does that do not translate well into currency. Things like quality of life for a family that can no longer afford health coverage. Or environmental quality. Or lives lost fighting bullshit wars on false pretenses. The modern Republican Party is, on paper, dedicated to the idea of fiscal responsibility. They believe that deficit spending is fundamentally bad, that social welfare programs impede individual initiative, and (at least, on the far right) that many of the problems faced by marginalized populations -- the poor, people of color, and so on -- are the result of moral failings at the individual level. Proposals presented by the Republicans are centered around the idea of "if ya ain't got the dough, don't spend it." Nowhere is this demonstrated more clearly than in the following statement made by Rep. Mo Brooks on May 1:
“My understanding is that it will allow insurance companies to require people who have higher health care costs to contribute more to the insurance pool. That helps offset all these costs, thereby reducing the cost to those people who lead good lives, they’re healthy, they’ve done the things to keep their bodies healthy. And right now those are the people—who’ve done things the right way—that are seeing their costs skyrocketing.”
On the surface, this seems like a pretty cruel, heartless stance. After all, what Rep. Brooks appears to be saying here is that if someone gets breast cancer, say, then it's their own damned fault for not living a clean life and they deserve to pay more for insurance as a result. Now, everybody knows this is bullshit, and it's a pretty safe bet that's not what Rep. Brooks meant. My guess is that he was speaking more to the apparent fairness of premium amounts, taking a position that people who need more health care should be paying higher premiums. And while this does seem like a reasonable proposition, it misses the point entirely on how insurance is supposed to work (the people who need less subsidize the people who need more, thus spreading the cost more or less evenly ... but diving into the intricacies of health insurance actuary is way beyond the scope of this article). This illustrates a higher point, though. Whether it stems from ideology, or the need to maintain viewership across the basic cable spectrum, or just pure salaciousness, we have been trapped in a cycle of "gotchas" for the past several decades. Barack Obama says "So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion ..." as a statement on small-town America's reaction to steady job losses over the prior twenty years, which is clearly evident when the entire quote is used:
"Our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
However, the right-wing shriek factory chose to highlight a specific phrase in a manner designed to generate the most outrage, furthering the narrative of Obama as a Kenyan Muslim terrorist atheist communist dictator, hellbent on taking away everyone's guns and forcing them to adhere to Sharia law (which, let's be fair, almost none of the target audience knew anything about except what they had heard from the right-wing shriek factory in the first place ... and not for nothing, but it is impossible to be a Muslim and an atheist. Just sayin'.). To be fair, this sort of nonsense happens on the left as well, but again ... a topic for another article ... The thing is, there are actually very few Republicans who hew strictly to this line. The vast majority of them do not agree with ideological purity at all costs; instead they adopt a stance of "Okay, I have my ideology, you have yours, and there has to be some agreeable middle ground." For example, as you may have guessed, I am a liberal. Very liberal. Not quite to the anarchist extreme of some, but definitely more than most. One of my best friends is a hard-core conservative Republican. We argue about politics all the time, and rare is the occasion when one of us makes a solid enough argument to change the other's position. Despite this obvious mental deficiency on his part (kidding, and he knows it), he is a wonderful stepfather, a good and decent person, and regularly kicks my ass at pool. And this is the fundamental point. Republicans are not, by nature, evil. They are not the sort of cartoonish, sinister villains portrayed in the media, any more than liberals are all a bunch of skinny, stoned, granola-munching whiners with acoustic guitars militantly guarding against trigger words. Republicans just have a different viewpoint from Democrats. That's all. They are both still Americans, they both still love this country, they both still respect the Constitution. Go to any firehouse, police station, military barracks, elementary school, restaurant, grocery store, auto shop. Unless there is only one person there, chances are pretty good that there will be a roughly even split between conservatives and liberals. And I guarantee that the EMT who is driving the ambulance taking you to the hospital doesn't give a hairy rodent's posterior about your political affiliation, the only concern is getting you to the goddam hospital. This is what we, as a society, are losing sight of lately. It is incumbent upon all of us -- right or left, Democrat or Republican, conservative or liberal -- to always remember this, and to accept the fundamental humanity of those with differing views, and to allow the respect that is born from this acceptance to be shown. And it has to start with a decision on which media outlet to frequent. Yes, there are no purely objective sources. Every media outlet has some sort of political leaning. It's only natural, considering they are all people. Where the differences lie is in how this slant is addressed. Some, like Breitbart and the Daily Wire on the right or Occupy Democrats and the Palmer Report on the left, make no bones about their political leanings. Which is fine, as long as people understand that their content is all opinion, not fact. Others, like the New York Times and the Washington Post on the left and the Wall Street Journal and Forbes on the right, acknowledge their political stance but strive to keep it from coloring their reporting. Yes, sometimes they are better at it than others, but they all have one common characteristic: when a mistake is made, they cop to it. Publicly. They issue retractions and correct the erroneous information. If there are enough retractions credited to a specific reporter ... well, that reporter is then out of a job. So I urge everyone reading this -- both of you -- to ask the following questions when considering a news source (not including articles clearly labeled as opinion pieces):
Does this news source use objective language, or are there subjective terms (excluding quotes) used to attempt to sway the reader to a particular way of thinking about an issue? For example, the Daily Wire recently published a story about funding being pulled from a Shakespeare in the Park production of "Julius Caesar" because it depicts the assassination of donald trump. While the story may be true, and it is not at all uncommon for theater companies to adapt Shakespeare to modern settings, the Daily Wire uses language like "objectively despicable contents of this production" to describe the play. Rather than just reporting on the "who, what, where, when" of the issue, the Daily Wire attempts to apply a value judgement to the play, thus robbing the reader of that opportunity.
Can the story be verified by multiple reliable sources? For example, if you see a story in the New York Times, or Forbes, or the BBC, or even the Daily Caller, can you also find reporting on that same topic from another source? This excludes the latest practice in which someone creates content that may or may not be factual and distributes it to like-thinking outlets, who then publish it blindly (basically, what happens here is that the article appears in multiple outlets, with identical or near-identical language).
In the case of erroneous reporting, does the source acknowledge it and issue a retraction? This only applies to factual errors. For example, an article about Ivanka Trump's clothing line that reports on a pair of shoes costing $2,500 when they are actually $250 deserves a correction. An opinion piece stating that they are the butt-ugliest things to come down the pike since the Pontiac Aztek does not.
It is vitally important that we all -- Republican and Democrat alike -- do our due diligence when consuming media. It is only once we emerge from the shriek factories on both the left and right and into the light of day that we can start to find common ground on the issues facing this nation today.
