I stand outside the building of the Administration with a comically large boombox. I click play and lift it over my head. The audio is so ear-piercing that people in the front of the building feel as their ear drums rupture. Deep within the Administration the music has reached its intended recipient. The manager of the merge displacement team.
The audio blasting is Gary Come Home from Spunchbob but Gary’s name has been replaced with a text-to-speech voice saying “Jay”.
I am immediately served an Administration Restraining Order filed in triplicate.

I’m not 100% on the particles water and lightning so some of that may change. Lightning underwater is cool to look at :) . The audio is yoinked from canon just for this post but the animation is to a song so ehh It only kinda works.
This is a lil bit of the Wip I’ve been making for the last few months! It’s fic related and quite angsty so I’m showing this bit so it can be seen alone.
Shoot me some asks if interested so I can reveal small threatening amounts of info.

Bizarro Ninja Names
So. Question to all my fellow ninjago fans.
What are your hc's for the names of the bizarro ninja from Double Trouble (or additional ones like for Lloyd & Nya)? I'm really curious what people call them and why!
I'll start the thread with my own hcs that I made with a few wonderful friends
Bizarro!Kai -- Aki Forge -- his first name is an anagram of "Kai" (and means 'autumn', where the leaf colours match that of fire) while his last name Forge is both a "forgery" joke and a synonym of "Smith"
Bizarro!Movie!Kai -- Kaigami Julien -- first name is a pun on the name "Kagami", meaning 'mirror', last name is because they get adopted by the Julien family because he's a nindroid built by the Mechanic
Bizarro!Cole -- Loce/Chronos "Chons" Bournrock -- Loce is an anagram for Cole, the chemical formula for coal is C₁₃₇H₉₇O₉NS , or "Chons", and a bourn is a small stream synonymous with brook, as in Brookstone, plus it sounds like "born (of) rock"
Bizarro!Movie!Cole -- Charcoal -- Cole sounds like coal, this one is... pretty easy to tell the origins of ajfksalfjka, he's a clone made by movie!Vangelis who wasn't going for creativity
Bizarro!Zane -- Nane Hawk -- Turn the 'Z' in "Zane" sideways and boom, Nane (which also means 'no-one' or 'no-part of a whole'). Hawk is an alternative to a falcon
Bizarro!Movie!Zane -- Oread "Oreid" -- oreads were mountain nymphs in Ancient Greek mythology and is the type of nymph Echo was in mythos (and we all know why the name Echo is relative to a Zane); in this universe, he's a nindroid built by Garmadon's enginerds with seagull features for peak obnoxiousness (and yes, that one seagull laughing meme)
Bizarro!Jay -- Cage Steller -- Cage sounds a bit like just the letter "K" (plus a 'g'/'j'-like sound) , similar to how Jay sounds like "J", and works as a birdcage reference ; and a Steller's Jay is a type of jay
Bizarro!Movie!Jay -- Jayden Walker -- I think this one is obvious too, he's an oni who ran away from the First Realm & gets adopted by the Walkers after copying m!Jay's identity as a human disguise (think V from The Owl House)
Bonus:
Bizarro!Lloyd -- Dyoll/Floyd -- Yeah this is another reference. No it isn't creative. Yes it's funny. Yes it's also an acronym like the others.
Bizarro!Movie!Lloyd -- Christofern -- Y'all know why. Except he's an oni/part oni made of magic (and maybe a tiny bit of magic tea (leaves) so uhhhh surprise m!Lloyd you have a half-brother on your dad's side
Bizarro!Nya -- Yan/Nereid Forge -- Yan means 'beautiful' and is an acronym of Nya while nereid are sea nymphs from Ancient Greek mythology (and the same Forge 'forgery / smith' reference applies as it does with Aki)
Bizarro!Movie!Nya -- Kujira -- means 'whale' and may have been a potential word inspiration for the name "Wojira" ; a merlopian clone made of magic by the Followers of Wojira to help awaken the sleeping serpentine goddess
Bizarro!PIXAL -- Byte -- 'the basic unit of information in computer storage and processing' and a play on words like "gigabyte, terabyte, etc.'

my favorite baseball game (15 april 2007)
below is something i wrote in 2012 to commemorate my favorite baseball game.
This was inspired by a thread on Myspace about how awesome Mariano Rivera is, even though he's kind of old. Whenever the-last-remaining-#42 is mentioned, just one game comes to mind, one glorious game in April.
I wrote this little ditty and posted it in that thread, but decided that here would be a good, permanent home for it.
----
I will tell you about my favorite Mariano Rivera outing. I invite you all to share your own.
Over a year ago in the bright sunlight of the Oakland Coliseum, it’s a day game in April, and the date is Sunday the 15th.
The attendance is 35,077, the same it’s been for the whole series – a sellout crowd (in more ways than one). The Yankees are in town. More than just the famed Mariano Rivera is wearing the number 42.
Rich Harden is pitching.
A two-run first inning had put the A's up early, but their bats were unable to produce the rest of the game.
Goose eggs for both teams until the seventh inning, where after two pitches to Alex Rodriguez (a strike and a ball) Jason Kendall trots out to the mound in all his veteran glory and is joined by home plate umpire Laz Diaz and then the pitching coach, manager, and trainer.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez gets treatment of his own for a bloody nose.
Rich shakes his head at Larry Davis and speaks some in his Canadian tongue, which he slips into in moments of frustration and pain. (Davis, of course, is well-versed in Canadian after spending so much time with the oft-injured pitcher.)
Rich shrugs, nods, and smirks at manager Bob Geren, who is not so familiar with Canadian and steps off the mound to allow Rich to throw some pitches. Rich throws one high and windmills his shoulder. He insists upon staying in the game and Geren, lulled into a false sense of security by the Canadian's charm and gentle smirk, lets him stay in.
Rodriguez, bloody nose taken care of, steps into the box. He works a double off Rich and Geren heads back to the mound and takes the ball from that tricky Canadian. He is done for the day, done for the week, and done for most of the season.
Joe Kennedy (may he rest in peace) enters the game to face Jason Giambi (who is being heartily booed by the Oakland faithful). His first pitch ends up in right field and there are runners on the corners with no outs, Jorge Posada up to the plate. He scorches a double down the left field line on the 9th pitch of the at-bat, scoring Rodriguez and sending Giambi, not exactly fleet of foot, to third. Rich's run has scored and the lead is hanging on by a thread with men on second and third and no outs. The sun beats down on Joe's fair skin and the temperature rises.
Giambi scores on a sacrifice fly by Robinson Cano and it’s a tie ballgame. It’s 2-2 and Rich’s win is gone. Joe has blown the save and with one out and a runner on third he can only hope to get back into the dugout without giving up another run.
Kiko Calero is up in the bullpen.
The Yankees take the lead on a sac fly from Melky Cabrera and Joe keeps sweating. Doug Mientkiewicz strikes out trying to check his swing and the inning is over.
But in the 8th, Joe gives up another run to make it 4-2, Yankees. Kiko comes in to finish of the inning and Jay Marshall pitches a scoreless 9th.
Athletics fans shake their heads when Mariano Rivera steps in, that number 42 on his back making them wince, thinking of their broken starter on this Jackie Robinson Day (not to mention the closer’s impeccable stats and spotless baseball reputation).
Eric Chavez grounds out on the first pitch of his at bat and A’s fans sigh.
Bobby Crosby hits a fly ball to right field, giving the A’s fans a brief rush of “Maybe, could he possibly …?” before it lands in Bobby Abreu’s glove. The A’s fans either sit down to wait out the last out or walk up the aisles to beat the traffic home.
Todd Walker (who else remembered he had a stint with the A’s in 2007?) slaps a basehit to left field and some of those fans walking out slide into a seat, just in case.
Jason Kendall is at bat and as he is swinging through a pitch Todd takes second base on defensive indifference. Jason takes on a 3-1 count and the umpire calls a strike. Geren hollers from the A’s dugout and A’s fans make themselves known. “Are ya crazy, blue? That was a mile high! Who’s payin’ your salary -- Steinbrenner?”
Marco Scutaro is on deck, taking his swings and waiting for the moment he was born for.
Jason fouls off the next pitch and the pitch after that and the one after that goes off his ankle. He’s a hard-nosed gamer not afraid to get dirty, but that’s not what he’s getting paid to do as an Oakland Athletic; he’s getting paid to get on base.
Jason steps back in and waves his bat and takes a pitch high and at his hands. As he takes his base the remaining A’s fans get to their feet – the winning run is at the plate and it’s Marco Scutaro holding the bat!
Posada walks out to the mound and pats Rivera on the back. Maybe he’s saying what to throw next, maybe he’s talking about what Marco’s weaknesses are, and maybe he’s just telling him a joke. Whatever it is, Marco waits patiently, prepared.
Batting ninth in this game Marco has struck out twice and grounded to short, hardly anyone’s best hope in this kind of situation, but all of Oakland remembers his magical doubles and how the stadium shook with their shouts of his name last October, the team clean and crisp and finally finally winning.
Rivera paints the black for a called strike and Marco steps back, appraising the opposing pitcher. He bows his head, adjusts his helmet, and eyes his bat as if to say, “You got a hit in you? Please, jus’ don’ strike out.” He spits in the dirt and steps back in, tapping the ground with his bat and digging in with his cleats. Marco pulls the next pitch foul and the crowd is so full of Yankees fans that hardly a sound goes up in hope. Marco steps out of the box and applies more pine tar to his bat.
It’s the bottom of the ninth. There are two outs. Todd Walker is on second, Jason Kendall is on first, the score is 4-2 favoring the visitors and Marco stands in with an 0-2 count. The crowd gets loud, Yankees fans cheering for a strike and Oakland fans just wanting to get another man on for Bradley. They dare not hope for more. Their tender hearts are already hurting from the loss of their short right-handed power pitcher.
The runners take their leads off their respective bases.
Rivera leans in, gets his sign, then straightens up.
Marco peers out intently from under the brim of his batting helmet and the ball is on its way.
Marco makes contact to left field, it’s high, it’s away, it’s heading towards the foul pole --
“If it’s fair, it’s ------ GONE! THE A’S WIN IT! SCUTARO WINS IT! Celebrate -- Oakland A’s, are you kidding me?”
Marco rounds the bases after Todd and Jason, rushing to meet the clutch of his teammates surrounding home plate, smiles splashed across their faces and the A’s fans, out-cheering the Yankees fans for once, shouting his name --
“MAR-CO! SCU-TA-RO!”
--
Rivera left Oakland that April 15th, still looking for his first save of the 2007 season.

“ Who needs logical reasoning now and again? ” The lightning master added, instinctively closing his eyes when Zane kissed his forehead. An act like that makes his heart flutter in his chest. The kiss a metal-cold against his skin and yet the feeling felt warm.
He did a double-over; his brown gaze sweeping over his body, pulling or pushing sleeves or pant legs of clothing to check what any sign of bruises. He saw scratches here and there, but nothing too terrible. Yet the side of his left arm was the most sore out of all the limbs he had. Jay pushed the sleeve down, a slight hiss escaping. Ow. “ I must've whacked the guy hard with my left arm. Serves him right though for fighting against me. ”
As Zane mentioned the proper authorities, Jay nodded. “ I just can't wait to get out of here, dude. ” He looked at the nindroid, eyeing at the dents and grimacing a little. “ That needs a little fixing. ”
The lightning master reached out without thinking. ( Again who needs logical reasoning when Jay lacks a single thought sometimes. ) His fingers gentle despite knowing that Zane isn't fragile — doesn't stop him at all as Jay brushes his fingers across one of the few dents that Zane's gained during this song and dance of a fight. “ We. Zane. We. A bruise or a few won't kill me. Let's scram and head back then. ”
Zane appears to perk up at the mention of it being human to express that sort of irrational fretting over Jay the way he did. Ever a constantly changing calibration of holding both human && robotic qualities within himself. It eases his conscious, perhaps more so than he lets on in his moment. Enough so that he approaches, pressing a kiss to his forehead as a token of his appreciation. ( Plus Jay deserved a little TLC, didn't he ? )
“ That is not much of a logical reason, ” he says. Then again, moments ago, Zane was acting anything but with his worry. Not letting the rebuttal last long, he simply dismisses the thought && lets Jay have this one.
" It is best to begin icing down any areas of bruising to reduce the swelling immediately, followed by a heated compress after twenty-four to forty-eight hours. " As he assesses what he could of the other's injuries, he gives a nod in response. Maybe a quick ice bath could do the trick… “ It was. Thankfully we were able to handle it as well as we did. It did take longer than anticipated. “ Zane had a few dents here && there for his own ”injuries”, but no exposed wires or damaged circuits behind the titanium complexion, thankfully. " Surely the proper authorities will take care of the rest. The sooner you recover from your injuries, the better. "

"they really wished they actually cared about all the crimes and the hurt and atrocities but they dont. they dont care because finally they have jay back, safe sound and alive and thats all that matters." <- this angst potential is too good... just the ninja showing their face in ninjago city again (or really anywhere) and wherever jay goes hes flanked by the other ninja because some angry mother or grieving sister might try to take a knife to his throat.
on a lighter note I'd imagine lots of cancel threads on twitter about him lol. revering the other ninja but condemning jay while others condemn the other ninja for not caring about the damage jay caused.
well go with a more cracky note on this one.
i think everyone twitter and stuff will not connect the dots that its the same jay walker. (libbers protection curse strikes again/lh) besides walker seems like a pretty well hidden secret of the wolves so i imagine that there could be literal footage of walker wreaking havoc with lightning and no one connecting him to jay walker the lightning ninja, just because its such a funny concept.
like the way zane could participate in a zane mimic contest and lose.
everyones just happy to have the blue lightning ninja back.
"because some angry mother or grieving sister might take a knife to his throat" That Is A Banger 10/10
#SEE I CAN DO FLUFF I CAN DO CRACK IM NOT ALLLLLLLL ANGST#(i find comedy in the tragedy and tragedy in the comedy thats kinda my thing lmao)#jay walker#jay ninjago#*ask#anon

ninjago fame hcs
- they’re considered to be A-list celebrities in ninjago for obvious reasons.
- every couple of months twitter goes on a hunt to figure out cole’s sexuality and every single time it ends in “all we know is he’s definitely not straight”.
- lloyd has a lot of thirst edits of him on tiktok and he likes them bc he likes seeing ppl freak out when they see he saw it.
- jay has thousands of these “jay walker being the funniest ninja in interviews” on youtube.
- from seasons 1-7 everyone was whipped by kai but after season 8 even if you’re not interested in the ninja you’ll eventually see a nya edit somewhere.
- ppl make zane and vision (from marvel) completions.
- one of the most popular threads about them is how pixal is underrated and should get included in interviews and red carpets more.
- jay has those “the gender envy he gives me” comments. (he does man 😔)
- kai and lloyd have a very close amount of instagram followers.
- i just know that cole does finneas (billie eilish’s brother lol) type tiktoks. (if u haven’t watch his videos where he stitches other tiktoks he’s very dry in a funny way 😭)
- nya is rarely on social media but when she is she has the funniest tweets.
- jay tweets like kurtis conner. (a hilarious youtuber)
- skylor definitely is hella aesthetic on instagram kind of like emma chamberlain.
- pixal has millions of followers and she has like 5 posts 💀.
- lloyd makes and reposts tiktoks about daddy and mommy issues.

Jay Walker (S1-S7) and Jay Walker (S8-S16) are not the same person.
Jay Walker, between the seasons seven and eight, was replaced by a shapeshifting alien that has been tracking his movements since season THREE
Don't believe me? Let me explain.
In the comics, specifically the space one, there is a shapeshifting alien that terrorizes the gang in season 3.
Now at the end of a comic, there is a thread hanging on whether or not the alien came with them or not.
So maybe, just maybe,
The reason that Jay Walker's character is butchered in the later seasons is that it's not Jay, but this shapeshifter from outer space.
It would not only explain his sudden disinterest in inventing, but his watered down personality, and his backstory that he never gets to explain or touches on.
Now now Soda, I hear you saying, Why would this alien wait four to five seasons to pounce
And ill tell you why
It was waiting
Somewhere in between season seven and season eight, the alien was confident in its ability to perfectly copy Jay, as it waited long enough to memorize his mannerisms, his speech patterns, his basic backstory.
It didn't get everything right, but that was fine
And it worked flawlessly, everyone fell for it.
But Soda, you stinky little ferret, I hear you scream and yell, where is the real Jay
Usually when a person is replaced or kidnapped or anything in this, they're locked in a jail cell somewhere. For example, Zane in S4 and Cole in S8.
Which means that the Real Jay has been locked in a cell for NINE seasons and not one person has noticed
AND is this just an outlandish theory to compensate for how my poor boy Jay has been murdered character wise in current seasons? MAYBE? Who knows at this point. It's 1am, I'm tired, I'm going to bed.
#ninjago#jay ninjago#jay walker#jay gordon#ninjago comic#this is my theory I'm sticking to it#i will die on this hill#I will be violently shot on this hill#did that alien even have a name???#who cares if it did smash

~Mr Azira Phale, Angel~
It struck me during the church scene that perhaps the Germans were calling him Mr. Fell because they thought Phale was his last name. So, I took a closer look at the two halves that made the whole.
~Azira
...Arabic in origin, it means A Rising Star. Interestingly, Pre-Islamic Arabia practiced Vedic religion, and in Vedic Astrology, Azira is a common name for babies born within Krittika Nakshatra, the older name of the Pleides Constellation.
Krittika..."literally means a "sharp flame" or "sword of fire." Alternatively, the word "Krittika" may be derived from the Sanskrit root krit, which means "to twist threads" or "to wind as a snake." This clearly is related to the symbology of the Caduceus and the May Pole. The root 'krit' also means "to separate, cut asunder, or divide." This secondary meaning refers to the division of souls into two groups that occurs on the Day of Illumination. The subtle energy associated with the Pleiades constellation is considered a Sword of Fire because it cuts asunder or separates knowledge from ignorance. It separates light from darkness."
~Phale
The name is actually of what is known as Pictish-Scottish origin. "The Picts were a confederation of Celtic language speaking peoples who lived in what is today eastern and northern Scotland during the Late British Iron Age and Early Medieval periods. Where they lived and what their culture was like can be inferred from early medieval texts and Pictish stones. Their Latin name, Picti, appears in written records from Late Antiquity to the 10th century."
"This interesting surname is of Scottish and Irish origin, and it is an Anglicized form of the Scottish Gaelic "MacPhail", and the Irish Gaelic "MacPhoil", both patronymics from the Gaelic forms of the given name Paul, derived from the Latin "Paulus, meaning "small", and is has always been popular in Christendom."
Now of special note is Paul, the Saint, originally Saul of Tarsus, considered by many to be the actual founder of early Christianity, who very much believed in Angels, spoke of them appearing to him, and who at first, was bent on persecuting Jesus, only to become an Apostle after he appeared to him in the famous story of his travels on the road To Damascus. I came across an eye-opening article, theorizing that not only were Paul's writings edited and twisted, making him a patriarchal misogynist, but that he in fact believed in equality, was hugely inspired by Plato, and may very well have been Gay.
From: The (Possibly) Gay, Elite Apostle Who Believed in Radical Equality for All by Jay Parini
"I tend to agree with Bishop John Shelby Spong, a brilliant theologian and church leader, who argues that Paul was “a rigidly controlled gay male,” as he writes in Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism (1991). Be this as it may, Paul was clearly at war with his own body, tormented by the idea if not the reality of sexual desire, and eager to withdraw into the company of his male companions: Luke, Timothy, Silas, and others. His conflicted feelings about his own sexual nature may account for the “thorn in his flesh” that he wrote about in his second letter to the church at Corinth. (2 Corinthians 12:7-9)"
Galatians 3:28: “In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free man, neither male nor female. In Christ, all of these are one.” ~Saint Paul~
Saint Paul was later decapitated by Nero! Oh, and one last thing...
Azira is actually a girl's name.
BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE.
For those who have looked closer, you may have discovered that Petronius worked for Nero.
Petronius was chief advisor to Nero and helped with the planning of all debauchery, orgies, feasts and crimes. He was known as Arbiter of Taste.
And Petronius wrote the infamous Satyricon.
Influence Of The Satyricon Upon The Literature Of The World.
"...It is to the author's recognition of the importance of environment, of the vital role of inanimate surroundings as a means for bringing out character and imbuing his episodes and the actions of his characters with an air of reality and with those impulses and actions which are common to human experience, that his influence is due...This class of literature, though modified essentially from age to age, in keeping with the dictates of moral purity or bigotry, innocent or otherwise, has come to be the very stuff of which literary success in fiction is made. One may write a successful book without a thread of romance; one cannot write a successful romance without some knowledge of realism; the more intimate the knowledge the better the book.."
"Petronius writes cynically and satirically about Roman decadence, about a society that’s corrupt and materialistic. Paul, to a certain extent, is writing about the same thing. He is certainly not humorous most of the time; he’s expressing his straightforward outrage about what he is seeing around him."
Petronius, set up for a treason charge by a rival, was threatened with death but chose to take his own life in quite a dramatic fashion, which is described in the notes to Satyricon. He died a year before Paul.
*Satyricon is compared often in style to Au Rebours by Joris-Karl Huysmans, and one translation published in Paris,1902 has been attributed to Sebastian Melmoth aka Oscar Wilde.
Now, was St. Paul an influence in any way on Shakespeare? The Bard of course wrote about Religion and Politics in his plays but due to his enormous influence, St. Paul managed to touch Shakespeare's place in a much different way. This has led to the discovery of a place I had never heard of from this time period...and a new head canon.
During Shakespeare’s lifetime, the area around old St Paul’s Cathedral was a hive of activity and industry...the main gathering place for acquiring (and spreading) news and gossip, purchasing the latest fashions and commodities, and, of course, for being seen. Under its Nave, as known as Paul's Walk, while the people who went there and into the churchyard were known as Paul's Walkers.
Complaint of Thomas Dekker in 1608:
‘What swearing is there; yea, what swaggering, what facing and out-facing? What shuffling, what shouldering, what jostling, what jeering, what biting of thumbs to beget quarrels, what holding up of fingers to remember drunken meetings, what braving with feathers, what bearding with mustachios, what casting open of cloaks to publish new clothes.’
Indeed, with its dozens of booksellers, Paul’s Churchyard was the centre of the London book trade, and was popular throughout the entire country.
"Booksellers on Paternoster Row became a source of competition in the latter half of the century, eventually winning the prominent position in London bookselling, but Paul’s maintained its supremacy well into the seventeenth century." This link has a beautiful rendering that can be expanded to show the individual publishers."
I imagine Aziraphale would have spent hours here, likely with Crowley beside him, eagerly pouring over the thousands of books available, excitedly meeting other writers, getting lost among a mixture of saints and sinners, just enjoying humanity. And I head canon that THIS is what gave Aziraphale his idea to open a bookshop.
What kept bringing me back to St. Paul?

It's imposing presence caught my eye during the WW2 sequence. Turns out, it was bombed during the last days of December 1940, but survived due to the hard work of British firefighters.

“There are a lot of secrets in the design—a lot of buried subliminal stuff,” he reveals, noting that he hopes an eagle-eyed fan will find all the Easter eggs in Good Omens." Michael Ralph, Production designer, who also says that he based Azira's bookshop on the design of a compass.
Purposeful or no, using St. Paul as a guide through Good Omens has been a fun history lesson.
