Why can I just see some of the TMNT messing with scam callers?

Like if April gets any she sure as heck would hand it off to first Donnie, then the others may join in on messing with the callers.

Or maybe Donnie sets up a program so that any spam/scam calls get rerouted to him first.

These were not from any specific versions/iterations, just making some up. I have never purposely answered a scam call, so I just remixed a couple I half remember.

The turtles are gonna be clothed most of the time. I just havent designed their outfits xd

The turtles are adults and they moved to nyc to build a better life. They found a place to live and Hamato Yoshi is their landlord, who is a single father of 3 daughters. He also works in an office with Oroku Saki as his boss

The turtles have jobs and their customers and co-workers are their enemies, in a way lol

It's mostly going to focus on them encountering all kinds of people and also helping Yoshi navigate raising his daughters

4 fem turtles

Lunarda (perhaps with a different initial) - upon its first creation it was a male named Lunardo. With other iteration the character was genderbent. Basically a villain, a goon like in 1987 he would be. Later becomes an independent force to be reckoned with.

Venus as Frida - character is like from Next Mutation, stern focus and sometimes trolls in a battle (didn't all '87 tmnt did that, trolling and mocking on enemies?). Likely a sister. (By title or not. I guess some people will lean into more like a real sister title. Although in Rose of tmnt where she was reimagined, all of tmnt were different species of turtles so. If by title still ok, like arrrrg pirate Laird would say no female turtles in a ship. 🤩🤭🤭.)

3. The "kooky sister from another planet/space/dimension". (Another, second sibling to tmnt, after Venus as Frida.) There was a Twitter where one said that it was a boy, another said it was a girl. Girl would be better in my opinion. Besides if Lunarda [different initial] has a black mask, this one can try a brown one perhaps. And Venus as Frida can have a colors that leans to grey-blue, or like how rise made it yellow is also alright. Edit: There is a fan-tag saying her name was after Camille Claudel. So the she-way is named Camillie. 🪷bby

4. 4th is def Mona. She is a turtle 🐢. Like in a way that the chemical she was in that was designed to not be exactly like any other mutant. Or her mutation was messy like how nature jokes on intersex people (sorry guys, like, I didnt mean to use them as an example because they are real people and their experience, emotions, struggles and dualities are real. They force themselves into gender normality to blend better with external apperance and designated gender idk). Not messy, maybe unfinished or with future changes, maybe she was over mutated since she was left in a chemical for too long. Sounds discriminatory and quite bad, idk. Let's say it was a special chemical. And she def wears a wig, she might be a mutant but as a human she keeps some girl or human customs perhaps unless some gender-netural tendencies. She could have a mutant-logic puberty phase where her body adapts to the creatures she hangs more with. Like a snake or a butterfly. A metamorphosis

Thoughts on human turtles where the ethnicity is different for each interation based on if Splinter is Hamato Yoshi or not?

For example 87, Rise, and 2012 being Japanese while other iterations are black with a few exceptions such as Bayverse being based off the face models and Mutant Mayhem being based off the CVs?

Sorry for the delay, I definitely wanted to answer this more fully when I had some time to think about my response!

Most of what I remember from 1987 was Michelangelo being turned into a redhead, I don’t recall human versions for Rise and 2012. Unless you’re referring to fanart?

The concept of the turtles being changed into humans (because being de-mutated, they’d be their fully natural turtle selves) is an interesting concept. Personally, with them being in NYC—an incredibly diverse place—I think it’s a missed opportunity to not have diversity with the four characters.

This is keeping in mind they are “random pet shop turtles” meaning that, pet shops tend to source from different clutches to avoid customers accidently breeding siblings. (Although sadly, in the wild some clutches may only have one hatchling survive.) Another interesting fact: one clutch can be sired by multiple males. Cats are similar, which is why litters can have very different looking kittens!

That tangent aside, regardless if Splinter was Hamato Yoshi it wouldn’t affect the turtles having a Japanese alternate self. (The exception of course being Rise since they actually were specifically mutated with some of his DNA.)

I haven’t read the issue, but I did like the human designs for TMNT in their Power Rangers crossover. I’ll admit this may be personal bias, while also conceding my original point above that—as native New Yorkers—there is valid reason that each of the four could represent various ethnicities.

Way Back Turtles

Well, would you check this out? So...as many of you know, I’m a huge Ninja Turtles guy. It really borders on an obsession. Ok, maybe “borders” isn’t the right word. I’ve been VERY obsessed with the TMNT since, I’d say, the early 2000′s. It was right before the 2003 TV show debuted and around the time I moved out of my parent's house.  I know that doesn’t make much sense, but it was really the first chance I had to dive deep into something with 0% parental regulation. Apparently, I chose TMNT as my pool. 

Around 2003/2004, I was dabbling in graphic design and photoshop-type work. I was designing CD covers, bootlegging music and really living my best life. During this time, ninjaturtles.com was being run by the team at Mirage Studios. The Turtles were still owned by Peter Laird and Mirage and he had just started the soft comic reboot of my favorite characters. They had all kinds of cool stuff on that site and it really pandered to fans.

There was an entire section of the site dedicated to fan art and “desktop backgrounds”. Being the amateur Photoshop idiot I was, I figured, why not submit some custom TMNT desktop backgrounds? These are the “masterpieces” I submitted to the official TMNT site about 15 years ago.

I have a lot to say about this mess, so let’s take this slow. To call these a collage, would be an insult to actual collages, but at the time that's what I thought I was creating. However, they are basically just a bunch of pics glued together. I really thought I was clever when building these. Every known and unknown version of the Turtles in one place...how novel? 

I remember being stead-fast in my need to build a graphic for each turtle. I painstakingly chose the images to include and probably took this more seriously than anything I completed in the first 15 years of my professional career. I was so proud of my dumb-ass when the website actually published them.

I admire my drive to actually build all 4 of them. This was before I knew anything about layers in visual editing. I was literally just pasting individual images next to each other. Looking at each iteration of the Turtles included on these, there are versions I don’t even recognize. I think there’s a canceled TV show and some comic drafts in here somewhere.

I find it strange that even though each image was created with the concept of consistency in its vein, there are tiny differences in the content of each one. I don’t remember my justification for these differences. Knowing my thought process, I probably had a reason for every single idiosyncratic difference in these backgrounds.

For some reason, the Michaelangelo pic has 1 extra image built into it. But why? Was that on purpose, was it an accident, am I overthinking my initial intent? I’m sure one of those is correct. What I do know is that if I were to try a similar background structure today I would include several different tactics that would make it look legit. Did I even understand transparent backgrounds when these were built?

The liberal use of black space tells me that the “Magic Wand” tool was used in excess to get these elements boiled down to their essence. I don’t hate these, but an odd self-correcting mechanism built into my psyche is telling me I should rebuild all of these and see if I can make them look less “hacky”.

The ninjaturtles.com website has changed significantly since I submitted these. The Turtles were bought by Viacom. With the buyout, came a huge change to the Mirage website. First off, the Ninjaturtles.com url redirected itself to a new Viacom owned destination, and all of the old Mirage TMNT content was moved to miragelicensing.com and much of the website was neutered, probably for legal reasons.  

With that neutering came the disappearance of my beautiful desktop backgrounds. Thanks to the way-back-machine over at the internet archive on archive.com I was able to recover my “probably lost to time” shitty little desktop backgrounds. I have a lot of emotions floating around in my brain right now and most of them are a form or regret...great.  

I know that’s crazy, but my inner George Lucas is really pinging me right now.  I’m not even sure if some of these images are still available on the internet. Someone stop me, I want to self-correct!!!!!!!
